We love Aqua-Tots! My son started in the level 2 class in November and was moved to level 3 by March. He has always loved water but he has become more confident and loves showing off his new skills. We have been coming to Aqua Tots on and off for eight years between my three boys. I love the ease of scheduling and rescheduling classes if you miss a class. I love the instructors. We especially love Coach Tia. She has such a talent when it comes to teaching young children. She commands discipline, but also has fun with them, and my child has improved immensely through her instruction. All of my boys have been able to swim by the summer they turned age 4, all thanks to Aqua Tots. It has been such a joy to watch them develop in their skills and become strong swimmers.

My daughter loves going to her swim classes at Aqua-Tots West Frisco. Right when she comes in, she’s greeted with pleasant and friendly staff at the desk. During her actual class, especially with her preferred great teachers, Coach Tia and Coach Victor, they make it fun but still enforce the learning to improve the skills of their students. There are other awesome coaches there that I’ve observed too, my daughter just has stuck with who she has loved.

My 3 year old used to cry hysterically for consecutive 4 sessions.The supervisor, Coach Natia (Tia) made him very comfortable and provided 1:1 assistance. He now runs inside with a smile on his face. We love the staff at Aqua-Tots West Frisco. They are always knowledgeable and helpful when answering questions for me and others when I hear their conversations. We started over the summer and our child has made so much progress in a short amount of time. They were great the first time we attended and worked on easing fears. I would highly recommend if you need swim classes to attend here. Makeups are easy to schedule and change to your schedule needs. Our child has loved all the coaches in our changing classes as we needed, particularly Coach Tia has built a great relationship with our child.

My son Cassius has been with AquaTots since about 8 months old! Amazing father-son time swimming with him until he turned 2.5yrs. Instructor Anthony and his brother Victor have taken time and gone great lengths with my baby boy that we want to see him in the Olympics in the future. My daughter is learning quickly and feels safe in the water with all of her instructors. They keep the kids entertained while making sure they are safe and learning the fundamentals of water safety. The 30 min sessions go by quickly, but they pack a lot of instructions in and there are no more than 4 kids per instructor. The pool is no higher than 4 ft deep, so getting to a struggling student is easy to be able to guide them back to the edge of the pool.

**Update: from 2 to 4 stars given the discussion I just had with Maura the GM. Given the leadership I see, ownership and willingness to improve, I'm hopeful we'll stay here.
So far my kids like it. Place seems clean and most coaches really do their best to engage with the kids and make sure they have a good time while learning. The low rating is due to the timing of the classes. We discussed 30 min classes. Every time we asked, they were confident in saying that the sesaions are 30 mins. In 5 classes my kids have now done, not a single time they were in the pool learning for the full 30 mins. These are 24 to 25 min classes. For the price, they should at least honor what they promote or be more honest upfront.
Will be looking for another school soon unless they improve this. Most coaches are rushing the kids in and out like clock work. Total pool time is maybe 23 mins, tops. They need to have at least 5 mins of buffer time between classes.

We just finished our first lesson for level 3. The gentleman up front with the glasses (I forgot to get his name) was very helpful and kind. He offered us a tour with us being new and provided us with our swag bag I did not know we would get with membership. The facility is well kept for it being extremely busy back to back. What can I say. It’s in such a bad condition. There’s food on the floor, unclean, unkept, condition as you can see from the pics is terrible and nothing seems to be done about it. There were cockroaches coming out of the wall!!!

I think the reason they are not taking care of the repairs is because it’s operating at high capacity even in this condition. They don’t need to spend money on repairs to get more business. Business seems to be very good.

If I can see these things on the surface, not sure how bad things are beneath all this. Really concerned with the sanitary condition of this place.

Ms. Mary is a super hero. When my son started in her class, he cried the entire class. At the end, she reassured me that he did well despite the crying and that he would get more comfortable over time. Now, be begs me to go to swim lessons. My son with Aqua tots from more than 3 years. We stopped during covid and now would like to start again with Aqua-tots. We do have 30 make up classes but now they refuse to give me those make up and also forced me to register again and pay fees. Earlier they allow us to use these make up without registration. They are changing policy without notify to us. They also allow extra make up class without registration to some of my friend family. I don't know why there is difference of policy between customers ?
As a class i really liked it but they should notify us when they change the policy and also policy should be same for everyone. I called them multiple times but no luck. Very disappointed as my son's first swimming class is Aqua tots. we are still stick to them, expect same from aqua tots as well.

Aqua Tots West Frisco has taught my daughter to swim! She started in level 3 and is about to complete level 6 as a proficient swimmer. My son had a great experience here. His instructor was Logan and I was surprised how well he did within two months. We always received progress reports after the class. Go somewhere else. Canceled w/30 days notice, they billed me again anyway. Then when I decided to renew my membership they dropped my 4yo from her class the 3rd week in. We showed up to class to find out she'd been dropped and the class is now booked. They had no explanation as to how or why this happened, and they offered no resolution. We recently relocated from Phoenix to Frisco and I was looking for aquatots for my 6 year old. She used to enjoy learning swimming in Phoenix. We tried Aquatots McKinney and it turned out to be a very bad experience. My daughter got so scared, she didn't want to go for any kind of swimming class. We hesitantly tried Aquatots West Frisco. 3/22/2019
I spoke with the General Manager Hayli and she was able to rectify the issues we had concerning the scheduling issues. This place is about building relationships. I would most definitely reccomend this place to other parents who want their children to learn a valuble life skill.
I will say any issues we have had in the past, (noted below), a simple phone call has always fixed any of those issues within minutes. Give them a try. When those hiccups arise, they are frustrating, but being able to speak with people and having them fixed is what matters.

We have had nothing but issues from the beginning. From being charged the membership fee twice, to not being able to pre pay for months in advance, to now apparently dropping one of my children from a class to add another student right before we arrive. We've also been told that when we rescheduled one of our sessions for Spring Break, that only one child was rescheduled and the other two lost a class because they did not reschedule the other children. That was a fun conversation.

The reason I'm writing this review is this 3/21/2019:
This was supposed to be our second class for our 3 children. But someone kicked one of my children out of the class and added another child before we arrived. We arrived per our pre-arranged and paid for time. Thursdays at 4:15pm. The girl at the front told me she did not know who changed his schedule only that someone went into the system and moved his classes to next year which created an opening for another student. She told me there was absolutely nothing she could do. We had to choose a different time and day. I asked why they could not remove the new student and replace my child and she claimed that they had already placed a student in our spot and could not remove that student. . . She then went and asked the swim instructor, if the child who was kicked out of class could do the next level class to which he said he could be moved up. My child who was kicked out from the beginners class cannot even float on his back or put his head under water, let alone swim half the lane distance underwater! The only reason we prepaid for the time we did is because that is what worked for our schedules. We would not have chosen this facility if we would have known they would not honor the time we pre-paid for. There are other options available locally. I will be going to this location tomorrow to speak with the manager. Will post updates. I do not recommended this location at all at this time.

Aquatots is great! They have tons of options for classes. Last week we switched from Wednesday to Monday and all it took was a conversation with the desk clerk. So easy! There is plenty of seating for parents and the dressing rooms are really convenient and clean. We really couldn't be happier.

I threw my 4 year olds birthday party here today and I HAVE to leave a review, just because I was absolutely pleased with this place. The ladies were so nice, informative, attentive, and just did a great job with all the kids. They willingly helped me set up for the party and cleaned up. Everyone that came to the party was very pleased as well and had a really good time. Thank you Aqua Tots for making my daughter's birthday a great one! We will definitely recommend you guys for the future. ♡

We had an absolute terrible experience here. I really tried to give them a chance, we took lessons for 7 months. Any time I called, I would never received a call back until at least 7 days had passed. I literally had a friend bring my kids up for lessons after I had my baby and call me from her cell phone and hand it to the front desk so I could actually talk to someone about changing lesson days. I wrote a handwritten note to the general manager to please call me that day and did not receive a call unail four days later.
On top of that, my children were never allowed to test for a different level, even after I started asking 3 months in. They were in the same class with children who had never taken a lesson and we're scared to go underwater, and my kids were so incredibly frustrated that they never got to swim and be challenged at all. Instead they were made to sit on the side, kick their feet, and dip their heads under water for the first 15 minutes. They both can swim independently in our home pool and get dive toys off the bottom of a 6 foot deep pool, yet in lessons they were spending the majority of time dipping their head underwater while an instructor held them-such a complete waste of money. I continuously asked if we could move them out of the beginner level, and was told everytime that they would make a note on their account to "test" them. We very seldom had the same teacher because turnover is so high there, so no one else ever know knew this and they were never allowed to move. Finally after i got the mamager to actually call me back, they were moved without testing. When we showed up for the new level, the manager had never actually put us in the class at all and we were still signed up for their old lessons!!! We still have paid lessons there, but the experience has been so awful, we will not be using them and losing our money. Please if you are choosing between aqua tots and Emler, go EMLER!!!! I have never written a review before but my experience was so disappointing and unprofessional I decided it was worth the time investment to hopefully help others not losing such a chunk of money and time.

Terribly disorganized, in 6 months they only tested at month 5.5 to move up one level. You never get the same teacher, which means they never know where the kid left off, and they always start over....go to emler

When i read these reviews, i take it with a grain of salt. Sometimes you have to confirm for yourself. I decided to sign up my son after reading the reviews. And i have to say I'm happy i did and did not rely solely on the reviews. My son is starting to learn to swim and the instructors have been nothing but supportive and always informative on his progress.

Yes, they get busy becuase they are trying to answer every person's question. Atleast they answer questions, and dont expect you to read every detail on their website.

To summarize, Aqua Tots Frisco has been a great experience, and I'm very picky where i send my child. Test it out for yourself, and you actually might really enjoy your experience, but more importantly your child learns to swim.

I called to get information since we had recently had a trial class at Emler but I wanted to shop around a bit. The person that answered the phone was polite but had to constantly look up information as to when summer started and ended and the price. I could hear another employee's entire conversation behind her talking about how she hoped that someone didn't call in sick. It was not a good first impression so I said I would call back. First impressions are very important especially regarding my child's safety. Emler was a bit pricier but I think Its worth it for professionalism.

Beyond disappointed. My child has been coming here a year and is a level 4. Her instructor was Brandon and he was "teaching" class tonight when my daughter almost drown. He was busy flirting with the girl in the lane next to him not noticing that my child had not made it back to the wall. She was under water for an extended period of time. Parents were banging on the window trying to get his attention. Nothing. I ran in to fish my struggling child from the water!!! Thankful I was paying attention to protect my own child in a class I pay money for! Beware, Beware, Beware. Don't want another mom to have to go through what my family went through this evening.

Not a good swim school. People there were not friendly and did not care about their job. The instructor clearly did not enjoy his job and did not seem nice to the students.

Our kids both go to this swim school and LOVE it, they have fun and are both really getting the hang of swimming.

One of the worst swimming classes we have ever been to. The management is never the same people and the turn over is ridiculous. I would not go there if they were offering free classes.
