I would not recommend ASI Gymnastics as a place to celebrate a birthday for mixed-age kids.

I recently attended a 7-year-old’s birthday party with my 20 month old baby, and the experience was very disappointing. The staff repeatedly came up to me to say that my toddler was not allowed to jump on the trampoline or even move around the play area. We had signed all the required waivers, but instead of guiding us on what was allowed or providing a safe alternative for younger kids, they basically expected my very active 20 month old to sit still on the stairs like an adult.

It felt extremely unwelcoming for families with younger children. If your party has toddlers or a mix of ages, I would seriously reconsider booking here.

We already love this place for our daughter’s gymnastics class. Coach Cris has been very patient with my daughter over the last two years. The coaches are awesome here and the facility is amazing from how they teach the kids to what they teach them. We decided to go ahead and have her fourth birthday here. Upon arrival they offered to help unload my car to prepare for the party. The two coaches that assisted us through this whole process were coach Elise and coach Bella. THEY WERE BOTH PHENOMENAL. They were all about helping me set up the party room to make it easier on me. Once set up the took the kids to the floor for 30 minutes in floor games while the parents relaxed on the stairs. Then they took them over for 30 minutes in the foam pit. After that they helped guide the kids back to the party room to help us serve the pizza and cake we brought in. This whole process was smooth and seamless. Once the party was over they helped back up everything and load it back into my vehicle. They were the most patient and kind coaches and truly made my daughter feel like a princess during her party! They gave her a cute ASI t-shirt and two bracelets as a present. I know it can’t be easy handling a group of 3 and 4 year olds. I seriously can’t thank them enough for all their help. If you are thinking about having a party here just DO IT.

ASI is absolutely exceptional, my family cannot recommend this facility enough! Every coach and team member greets you and your child with a smile like they’ve known them for years. The facility is clean and inviting and the coaches are incredibly patient and detail oriented. They have open seating so you can watch exactly how your child is doing and what they are learning! Our daughter is three years old and is currently in Kids Gym level 1 with coach Ethan and coach Imani, she is also enrolled in the Little Ninjas class with coach Garret! Each of her coaches cheer her on and care about building a great foundation for her future! It is evident just how much they love kids and how serious they take their roles as educators! ASI is truly the best facility we have toured and trialed. The effort and enthusiasm is truly one of a kind! 100/10

If you have a four-year-old, take them to coach Nathan's class on Fridays at 5 PM. He's so good with them, and really does a great job getting them excited and involved. He is also patient if they are all over the place like mine! Coach Gage when we had him was amazing as well. We are having to leave because we moved and we are very sad to lose these great coaches!

This is definitely a great place to take your highly energetic kids. It's better to have them do all their jumping here than on the couch, bed, tables, chairs, and siblings at home...
What matters is that the place is clean, the coaches are engaged and patient, and the pricing is okay. Plus, if the kiddos like it, they may have just discovered a new talent/skill that they did not know of.

We've been going to ASI Allen for a few years now and have had several different coaches. One coach quickly earned our kiddo's trust and respect! The others didn't care nearly as much, didn't pay attention and seemed to barely be doing the bare minimum.

We have done birthday parties here and would definitely recommend that! That was fabulous and the kids had a blast! The staff was exceptional for the parties we've attended.

For the weekly classes, the one coach our child loved has helped our child become comfortable and more confident and we look forward to seeing our coach every week! When they leave though (and there is a lot of turnover here with most coaches being young and leaving for college or other jobs, we're told) it's really hard on the younger kids and the new coaches often don't seem to be ready to take over a full class yet.

I appreciate the limited number of kids per instructor, even though that requirement put us on the wait list for a short time. The older kids program looks great and I especially like the bell located in the middle of the gym that the gymnast gets to ring when they master a skill for the first time. Great motivation! I am particularly impressed with the Tiny Tots classes. That program is outstanding! I have a very shy and timid little girl that easily becomes clingy, but somehow Coach Ethan got her to join the class. She happily joins his classes, but I was interested to see what would happen on that one day he was not there. Other coaches quickly stepped up with encouragement and she joined her class.
After the initial warmup to music the class divides into two groups and each goes to a different station or the trampolines before switching. Each station just looks like fun activities to the kids, but each 'fun' activity is designed to teach a very specific skill. Each 'fun' activity is first demonstrated by the coach, but big picture cues beside each piece of equipment also instructs. When the coach observes a child skipping a skill or not completing it correctly, they will assist or give extra instruction. I notice that the assistance is as minimal as needed since the goal is for them to achieve independence. The station's setup changes each week. After a class, the coaches often chat with a parent about a skill that was mastered. I have seen improvement in core strength, balance, stretching and confidence, to name a few.

Mostly they are great, but if you have to have a sub, there's a significant dip in consistency and attention, I've witnessed kids getting more attention while others being rushed through station or even ignored why doing a task even if they haven't mastered the activity

I took my daughter to a children's party at this venue, and the experience was excellent. Everything was in perfect condition, and the staff's attention was outstanding. While everything was positive, one potential area for improvement could be adding more interactive activities for children. I would definitely recommend this place for similar events.

We had a fantastic party at Asi yesterday! Everything went smoothly, thanks to the incredibly helpful staff who assisted with setting up and supported us throughout the event. The kids had an amazing time, and all our guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

Imagine you’re at a Tiny Tots class with your group, and out of nowhere, a stranger—who isn’t affiliated with your child’s class—rudely takes an item from your child’s hands. Would any parent be pleased by this?

Here’s the full story: We were finishing up activities near the beam when my child found a roller lying on the floor and started using it. Suddenly, someone who wasn’t our coach came over and took the roller from my child’s hands... she didn't try to ask him first in a nice manner, she didn't explain first why she needs to take it away... just came out of nowhere and took it. As I got to know later the coaches name is Danielle S.

I tried to stop her with my hand, and asked her not to take the item from his hands but she was very persistent and physically pushed my hand from that item... I asked what she was doing, since she wasn’t our coach, but she simply said, “I’m A coach”. My child was crying, and I was extremely stressed and frustrated, not understanding why someone not responsible for our class would interfere in this way all of a sudden. I also saw that she was leading a different class for a bit older girls, so she distracted herself from her class to do this with us in a presence of our 2 coaches. yes, we had 2 coaches leading tiny tots class and she decided that they are not doing their job!?

We decided to leave. I took a photo of her to report the incident to management and inquire about their policy on such matters. Danielle then ran out of the building and started yelling at me, demanding that I delete the photo or she would call the police. I explained that I had the right to file a complaint but she kept saying: "you delete the photo or I call the police". I waited for about 10 minutes in the parking lot for the police to arrive, but no one came, so I left. I did speak to a sales manager after this incident but that's about it.

P.S. We had some negative experiences in the past as well, I did delete my previous review on that matter since the administrator (I forgot her name) was nice and provided us an alternative class and they tried to resolve the issues. But the experience we had today was definitely the worse out of all.

I attend various mommy-and-me classes, and I have never encountered such disrespect from teachers or coaches towards children and their parents.

Recently tried the parents night out for my daughter to meet with a classmate. My daughter (9) came home in tears over the treatment from the class leader (she said was a teenager) and was physically assaulted by another child while in attendance (slapped on the face) Seems this is an option ran by young adults and wouldn’t recommend.

We started here prior to COVID and then we had to take a break.
Let me tell you, they remembered our family and some of the same staff is still here!!!

I would definitely recommend this facility.

We LOVE ASI Gymnastics - both of my little ones count down the days until they get to go back to gymnastics, this is by far the best thing we could have put them in. My daughter (3Y) has Coach Jerrika and she is wonderful - so nice and caring and made her feel welcomed right away. My son (2Y) has Coach Anna who is an absolute saint for having the patience to handle all the little ones with attention spans of 10 seconds and wild minds of their own but she is so kind and sweet and always knows how to draw them back into class with even more fun.

My 8-year-old started in a weekly Power Tumbling class almost two years ago. She's had several different teachers, as we were able to find classes that met our schedule, and they've all been great. During that time, she's worked her way through beginner Bronze, intermediate Silver, and is currently in a Gold class. I believe there is one level beyond Gold as well.

Coach Anthony is fantastic with the kids. He's knowledgable and very encouraging to kids of all ages. My daughter went from zero skills, to being able to do a back handspring in our living room within two years. She looks forward to going to class every single week!

Been taking my kids to ASI for the past 7 years. When I think of ASI Allen, I think of Coach Danielle and Coach Cris. They are the best!! Coach Danielle has great energy and makes each class engaging. She also has impressive class management skills. Danielle connects with each kid and provides tailored feedback for individual improvement all while coaching the class as whole. Likewise, Coach Cris knows how to meet kids on their level based on each child's temperament. He creates an encouraging, fun environment and is great at redirecting and adjusting depending on the energy of the class on any given day. We have tried a few other gymnastics places in North Dallas and nothing compares to ASI. They keep your kids entertain and each class they are working on improving skills but also doing new courses each week. The other gyms we have tried would do the exact same thing every class and it became very repetitive.

Love, love love this place and the staff! They are so patient with the kids, but also challenge them to meet their goals. My daughter worked closely with Coach Danielle and she is AMAZING!! Since my daughter is homeschooled, being able to come midday for classes is also a plus! Our daughters attend ASI Allen. They are a clean facility with a strong culture to support the gym goers. Even when it is “crowded”
there is order. And, the coaches are clearly skilled to assist children when they need help adjusting to a new coach, class or skill. While we’ve never met a coach there who we wouldn’t recommend, our daughter had spent the most time with Coach Danielle. I highly recommend coach Danielle who is our coach for girls bronze.

My daughters attend ASI Allen. We were transfers from Metroplex. I am really happy with my daughters’ experience. They look forward to attending class and enjoy their time in class. They are attached ti their coaches and something we wanted was stability in staff members and coaches. My daughters can have a case of stranger danger easily. And when they have been nervous raving class or the instructor, coaches do an excellent job helping them along. That means almost more to me than their gym skills they will learn. But, they have learned new skills

This is a great place for our kiddos. All the coaches are so great and dedicated to helping and growing the kids’ abilities. Special mention to coach Anna who always greats Jack with a smile and is my son’s favorite coach. For my daughter Talia, I cannot say how happy we are that she is under coach Ethan. She has grown exponentially under his guidance and always look forward to her next training session. Great job and highly recommended!

I can’t tell you how amazing this place is. I have a 4 year old who really struggles with listening and Coach Chris has been amazing with him. He can have 5 kids in his class and keep an eye on all of them and make sure they’re all following the rules. Coach Jerrica is great too. I also love their camps when school is out. Great staff and amazing management!

ASI in Allen has been nothing but great for my son. The best part is Coach Chris. He has been there with my son since he started. And is the main reason for his development. He’s kind and works well with his group. All the children follow his direction. If anyone is considering enrolling their child in gymnastics, I can’t recommend ASI enough. And make sure you get them in Coach Chris’ classes.

My little son and I had a terrible experience with ASI at Allen. My boy joined the class with two white girls today. For about 50 minutes, the coach only talked to the two girls and taught them. My little one was totally left out and did not receive any advice or attention at all. The coach completely ignored my son as if he were invisible.

My boy just rolled over by himself again and again while waiting his turn to get the coach's advice. However, he was completely ignored and the coach moved on to the next step for the girls. This continued for 50 minutes.

After watching for about 40 minutes, I talked to the desk. The office person watched the class with me and agreed with me, so they apologized for the situation.

Can you imagine how my heart felt? When my little son (he is just 5 years old) rolled over alone again and again on the mat, my heart was broken. As a mother of a little boy, it was a horrifying experience. We do not have any history with the coach because we met that coach for the first time today.

The office observed the entire situation and apologized, suggesting a make-up class. BUT!! I do not want a make-up class. the office should manage the coaches! If your kid is not a white girl and your coach is a young man with a turban, I can definitely say, "Avoid the horrible experience!!"

Big thank you to ASI Gymnastics in Allen!! Garrett, Ambrely, and Izzy were AMAZING!! My daughter Emery had her 8th birthday party there and had such a fun time being celebrated gymnastics style! The hosts were so much fun and wonderful with the kids- can’t express enough how amazing they were👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️. They played fun games with kids, helped set up, serve food, and clean up afterwards too. Emery had the best time! Thanks again ASI for helping us celebrate such a special girl.

Love the coaches. Unfortunately this is more like a glorified babysitter. If you are looking for basics and a good place to keep your kiddo busy this is a great gym for that. If you want to advance your child I wouldn’t recommend. Sooooo many kids at one time that it is really just chaos at all times. Coaches have so many kids that they struggle to keep them all contained.

We had nothing but great experiences with ASI before covid when our daughter was little and took gymnastics as well as having a birthday party there. Now a little bit older, she is in power tumbling and loves it. She has had nothing but wonderful, supportive coaches. Every staff encounter has been friendly, helpful and professional. The facility is always clean and well taken care of.

Our most recent cause for leaving this review was her 9th birthday party this past weekend. I have been to many kid parties, but ASI has been the best experience. The staff took care of literally everything and I was able to actually just enjoy my daughter's party instead of feeling too busy. They were so great with the kids, learned all their names and managed to build a rapport with them all so quickly. They had fun activities well timed and arranged that the kids all loved. They were so amazing at managing the kids as well as keeping the party organized. They really covered every detail. We were very impressed and it was a great day. Thank you, ASI!

My two kids, age 5 and 8, are in Coach Natalie's class. Ms.Natalie is such a great teacher and works to help them during every session, she is so sweet. She and the gymnastics themselves are so great teachers to all the kids! Not only are they patient with all ages, but they really push the kids to do their best and have fun! Plus they sanitize and use masks quite often which is a needed bonus! Would and will definitely recommend for all families.

Coach Natalie is so patient with my children. I had checked out another nearby gymnastics and the treatment between ASI and that one is so different. Coach Natalie treats my children with care and attentiveness I haven't seen anywhere else. She's always keeping an eye out for her kids even if she's helping another at the moment. And she even cleans her stations and area after She's done for the safety of the kids! An amazing Coach and teacher, the kids love her and are always excited to see her every week.

I took my daughter and a friend to holiday camp today. They have always had fun at the Plano location but this time at Allen they both hated it at the Allen location. That's $80 wasted trying to entertain my kid during break. I want a refund. I will never return.

My 4-year-old girl is a member and wanted to celibrate her bday in ASI Allen. It was amazing! Kelsey and Courtney helped in every step (from decorations, greeating, serving, kids fun at gyms floor). My family and I love ASI gymnastics. We just recently moved to Princeton and it’s now 30 minutes away and I didn’t even care to go to another center that was closer because we love it so much. Both Angela’s are amazing but Ms. Angie is always so welcoming, friendly, kind and I love that she is passionate about her work. The coaches and admin staff are fantastic to work with. I recently sign up my daughter up to this gym, and already canceled my membership, just because what for me was a lack of communication with parents, and students. The other day my daughter show's up with a note(black and white brochure) inviting the kids to a Saturday night special event, the note didn't say anything about price or to call in advance to reserve a spot, but when we got there we found out that there was no more spots left, and the lady at the front desk claimed the pandemic to be the reason, saying that there was not enough instructors at the gym to allow ONE more student to get into the gym. I honestly felt the lack of interest with the situation, and honestly can't understand how come a big company gym like ASI doesn't have a back up plan for a simple situation like that, and instead of work things out on sight it rather to send a 8 year old back home.
They were very efficient on taking my money in the middle of the pandemic, just wish they were as professionals as they claimed to be.

I’m only giving it a 3-star because masks were optional. There were a number of parents without masks. I think that places mask wearers like myself and my children at risk.

The good, the customer service was excellent. The coach called and introduced herself prior to class and updated me after. My daughter had and awesome time. The class appeared very structured and engaging with tons of skill building activities for the kids. We will be returning of course at risk with the non mask wearers.
