I was a bit nervous taking a pole class but decided to because I've heard it's great for exercise and fitness! Before class started I was welcomed by the instructor and shown around the studio. The class ended up being super fun and everyone was really encouraging!
The teacher was knowledgeable and really made sure that everyone was able to take their time to learn each move.
We could record ourselves at the end if we wanted to, and I love that people asked each other for consent before they recorded. The instructor even asked for song suggestions when we put the routine all together at the end.
I'm definitely sore but looking forward to going back!

I’ve taken classes at several pole fitness studios over the years, and most have systems that are seamless with automated class rollovers, clear expiration dates, and no penalties when the studio cancels. Unfortunately, my experience at ATX Pole Studio felt much more manual and disorganized by comparison.

When classes were canceled last minute and it was towards the end of a reoccurring bill month, I had to personally reach out to the owner to have credits added back to my account, which became frustrating over time. It would be so much easier if this process was automated like other studios I’ve attended.

The auto-renewal policy also caught me off guard. I didn’t see any mention of the 30-day cancellation notice in my receipts or online account, so I was surprised to be charged again after I emailed to cancel before my next billing date. I was told I’d receive credits to use in the future, which I’m assuming I’ll have to chase down owner again to get them added as I currently don’t see any credits in my account.

To make matters even more unsettling, I was automatically charged again the following month, though the owner did issue a credit right after, but again…why is this so difficult in 2025?

In the end, I decided to cancel my membership because the overall experience just didn’t feel efficient or easy to manage, especially compared to other studios that are more streamlined. I hope the studio improves its systems, and the owner chooses not to ignore emails when it comes to be billing issues.

This studio is truly a treasure. I took pole classes for the first time here, and I wouldn't have picked any other studio to start at. The instructors are very kind and make an effort to get to know each of their students, cultivating an extremely supportive and intimate environment in the classes. It's hard to find a place that's as personal as ATX, other experiences have felt crowded and rushed, whereas the instructors at ATX genuinely take the time to see where their students are at and adjust class instruction to best fit the overall desires of their students. I love this place so much!! I recommend it to everyone who's looking to get into pole or just continue taking classes.

Love love LOVE this studio! I was searching for an inclusive community that welcomes ALL levels and goals and body sizes. This is it. ♥️ There is structure to the level classes (love) and lots of variety in the dance classes (so fun!) You are never made to feel out of place. Wear what you want. Look how you want. Show up completely new or a tenured dancer. The studio owner Stephanie is so sweet and knowledgeable, and all the instructors are amazing! After trying several studios in Austin, this one felt like my spot! I went for almost 2 years before moving and was so sad to say goodbye. GO TAKE A CLASS HERE.

Had a great experience at ATX Pole! I’m not a great fan of exercise and always tease that I need “sneaky” exercise - in other words something fun that also gets your heart pumping. Without stating my age, let’s just say that I’m more mature than your typical customer, but I got great exercise, while having fun and never felt that I was in over my head or felt out of place. I’ve been to several classes and had several different instructors and all of them were knowledgeable and able to break down how to do each move. I would highly recommend Stephanie and her instructors whether you are experienced or a beginner like me. Try this studio - you won’t regret it!

I've been going to this studio for 2 years, and I absolutely love it! They offer classes for different skill levels, so It doesn't matter where you are. All of the instructors are kind and supportive, you can tell they love what they do. Private lessons are amazing as well. The owner, stephanie, helped me so much with a piece I'm working on, I would be lost without her

Owner offered a refund and or another class because the dance instructor cried because she didn’t feel comfortable around black people and did not want to teach the class the instructor walked out twice the owner apologized and said the instructor would get wrote up because they don’t tolerate that kind of behavior since speaking with the owner I gave a date for another class because she only offered 15% back she has now ignored all calls, text and emails so I have yet to receive another class or refund it’s 2023 racism should be behind us

A group of black women aren’t welcomed at this establishment we were judged and looked down on the minute we walked in the dance instructor stayed behind the desk she did not approach us or introduce herself when we arrived as class got started the instructor hardly did any teaching kept asking my group what do we want her to do she also walked out twice because she said she felt embarrassed myself nor my group did anything to make her feel any type of way I believe because the color of our skin she wanted nothing to do with us after that second walk off myself and my Best Friend went to find her talked with her she finally calmed down and loosened up and class ended great I wish the instructor had a better attitude on arrival this would have easily been 5 stars besides the instructor ruining majority of the class my group and I still had a great time I paid for 1:15 minutes but because of the instructor melt downs and walk offs we only received 25 or less of dance lessons

So much fun!!
My friends and I had so much fun pole dancing with Stephanie. We booked a private session on a Sunday and Stephanie did her best to accommodate us.
The place is nice and clean, with a lot of poles to practice, spaced wide enough so you don’t kick each other.
She took the time to walk us through the process and was very patient, supportive and energetic.
We had the best time ever!! I cannot recommend this place enough!

I've now gone to 3 different classes and have had a lovely time. Even before getting a membership, everyone treats you like a forever client right off the bat. I felt encouraged when it was obvious I was struggling. It's so easy to have fun here! They very clearly prioritize the student. On top of all that, the pricing is unbeatable. I will definitely be getting a membership and look forward to getting to know this community better.

I've been going to ATX since October of 22'... Safe to say I'm addicted! The classes are fun, challenging, and encouraging. Pole fitness is also a great way to exercise without going to the gym and sometimes not even realizing you're in the midst of a workout.

While I do have a preference for certain instructors teaching methods over others, I do suggest going to as many different instructors classes as you can since you get a wide variety of instructions. So like, if you're struggling with a move during one class, another teacher might explain it differently enough for an aha moment to happen.

What's also nice is that even if you don't want to attend pole classes, there are classes outside of pole to take. I think it's a great safe space to gain confidence in not only your own capabilities but also find a newfound love for yourself. I've never loved my arms so much, but that's because they help me climb so 🤷🏼‍♀️

EDIT: I had a private at the studio and it was really awesome to have personalized help on pole moves I've been struggling with and with ones I didn't realize I had incorrect form.

I've also been attending a lot of choreography classes and I've been leaving them feeling so confident and happy. The community there makes me look forward to my evenings and the friendships I've built outside of the studio is amazing.

ATX Pole is a place to have lots of fun, learn, be challenged and relax. The environment is very supportive and you will feel welcome from the get go. I always clear my mind doing pole even in my weakest days I leave feeling encouraged to get better in my pole journey.
Stephanie is an amazing instructor and so are Sophie, Oksana, Claire, Megan and whoever is teaching you will feel good about yourself and your body. Highly recommend for anyone to give ATX a try and they will get hooked on pole, twerk or whatever they are teaching! 👍👍👍

ATX Pole Fitness is an amazing studio!! When I moved to the area I was nervous about finding a new studio since I really enjoyed my previous one. Immediately, Stephanie was so friendly and welcoming, she made me feel super comfortable about being there. The environment of the studio and everyone I met was (and still is) so kind and encouraging. I have been going for over a year now and absolutely love it. Every time I go, no matter how my day has been, I leave with a smile on my face. It’s a place where I can challenge myself physically while also recharging myself mentally. All of the instructors are amazing, you can tell that they really care about their classes and students. If you’re thinking about taking a class, just do it!!! They offer a great variety of classes, from beginner to advanced, flow, twerk, chair, flexibility, etc. I wish I had time to take them all!

This is genuinely the best studio. No matter what it is you are looking for - pole, yoga, dancing with heels, etc., it’s top tier. The instructors are phenomenal, the community is out of this World, and you never get bored; the instructors are awesommee at switching it up & keeping you on your toes. It’s a great workout for not just your body, but your soul - truly the most healing & empowering sport I’ve ever participated in. I drive a little further just to come to this studio b/c it truly stands out the most. No matter what level you are at, you are always met with open arms, kindness, and a judgement-free zone 🤍💜

The studio and teachers are amazing. The technology, the memberships, the wording and the fees is what stops this from being a 5 star studio for me. Not a lot of flexibility and ur billed month to month and you can’t forget. If you want the most experienced pole studio here you have it but other studios are probably more flexible/forgiving when it comes to ur wallet.

I have been attending ATX Pole for 1 month shy of a year! I went in feeling WAY out of my element! But left there with the feeling of this place was definitely a place that completes my soul! But most importantly a place that I could get away from the kids, not have to “mom” and was just able to be myself without judgement! I love the owner, all the instructors and every individual that attends! I will miss each and every one of you guys! Everyone is so encouraging and excited to be there! I was looking for something that would help me stay fit, like a dance class, and then I stumbled upon this place. I have never loved my body more than when I was taking pole classes here where I could see myself both improving and slowing toning up! It was new and scary but damn worth it! Take two classes a week AT LEAST from intro, and get into pole 1. DO IT!! Venture out and take the others too! You will not regret it and will begin to regret missing classes instead. Between the pole classes and the "Tone and Werk" class, I felt fit even during the pandemic weight gain. Bring yourself, your friends, YOUR MOM!! Anyone can do it and you are going to look at yourself and love all those curves and toned bits. :) Stephanie and all the instructors are the absolute best people -there are "good people" and they WANT to help you! Also try the "Twerk it out" - I feel so sexy in that class.

I’ve been coming to Atx pole for over a year and the growth that I’ve seen from myself is amazing! The instructors are so knowledgeable and talented. When I started as a beginner I felt a bit lost and down when I couldn’t climb or do what was taught but with all the instructors help and me pushing myself to keep attending class I was able to accomplish that and much more and I can’t explain how great it felt. I love how Atx also has other classes like dance, flexibility, twerk and much more. So if you want to learn something different, new, and feel empowered and uplifted by other woman then definitely go. I’m grateful to have found ATX pole!

I went over all reviews - there are many good words, but… we always have buts.
Pros. 1. Fun place, skilled instructors.

Con.
1. If you are late for 5 minutes - you are NOT allowed to go to class. Not Bad rule, if you’re doing hit&stretching appropriate. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I would never notice that if I didn’t took individual classes with yoga teacher.

2. You have to set up your schedule each month for each day. At some point not bad, but if you have schedule and want to be at the same class (level) 2 times a week it’s almost impossible. Plus, there are no programs, because people are changing at the class every single time, so progress could ONLY if you are working out on pole at home…

3. But it should be the very FIRST! I spent around 500$ just to trying cancel payment. Yes, I wrote. Yes, I called. Yes, I got confirmation that my last time payment going to be last month. And NO!!!! I got again charged! I started this pause/cancellation process in October!!!! Today is February.

UPDATES:
I got money back for a last month.

I love coming here to learn pole dancing! Everyone is so nice and supportive. I've met so many new people from all different backgrounds. Even when we're all awkward and just starting out everyone is so encouraging. My mental health really took a turn for the worst during quarantine. Half my family caught COVID and I had to deal with the stress and anxiety of whether or not I'd be next, or if I would lose someone. My self esteem was low and my health was even lower, but coming here has really brightened my mood and attitude. I actually found something that I like to do that keeps me active and interested. I can't thank the instructors and students at ATX Pole enough for helping me get through such a troubling time. I hope to be a member for a long time!

Stephanie is fantastic! She is kind, encouraging, and professional. She tailors your lesson to fit your experience level and personality to ensure you get what you want out of pole fitness. She’s incredible on the pole and her studio is beautiful and always clean. She has a way of always making people feel welcome and comfortable regardless of level, age, or body type and help you become the best version of yourself. I am middle aged and a beginner but have never been made to feel that way. I came here last week for my first ever pole fitness class. I was so excited because I thought it would help with my self esteem. I don’t remember her exact words, but the instructor announced to everyone that I was uncoordinated (that word I remember.) She gave no words of encouragement at all. I actually left crying when it was over. I just don’t understand why someone would insult someone who is trying something new.

I do not recommend coming here for your first pole class. I did not feel welcome. Good luck if you don’t get your first spin correct on the first try.

I cannot recommend ATX pole fitness enough! I have been taking classes here for almost three years, and I believe it is one of the best pole studios in Austin. I have recently moved further away from the studio, and I really do not like driving, so the fact that I am willing to drive out of my way to come to this particular studio says a lot.

The facility: There is a nice big waiting room for you to stretch/sit/relax in before your classes. There is a pole room and a separate movement room, which makes it possible to have a larger variety of the types of classes they offer. The waiting room also makes these classrooms much more private! This helps me feel a lot more comfortable in my classes.

The classes: The instructors at this studio are second to none! I have always appreciated the level of detail the instructors go into when describing the exercises we are about to do. There is a huge emphasis on correct form, which makes for safer and much more effective work out. I personally have not suffered any injuries while taking classes, and I believe that is due to always having an instructor to spot me and correct my form.

The classes are also structured in a way that someone of every level can get a good challenge out of every class. This studio is perfect for levels ranging from very beginner to advanced. The intro to pole classes are absolutely perfect for someone who has never tried pole!

ATX Pole Fitness is an awesome studio! I attended a Level 1 Pole Class with Stephanie for the first time and I had an absolute blast! I had been meaning to give this studio a try and I’m so glad that I did. ATX Pole Fitness made me want to come back.
Stephanie is an amazing instructor! She has high energy, a warm personality, and is full of encouragement, humor, high fives, and hugs.
The class was exciting and challenging, but not too hard. Stephanie did a great job determining my skill level while still nudging me out of my comfort zone. I learned new things and I feel really confident about continuing pole fitness. ATX Pole Fitness gave me a crazy good workout. I’m still sore! I worked muscles that I haven’t worked in a long time!!

I cannot express enough how amazing this studio is. I have been a competitive athlete all my life from Softball, to Dance teams, boxing, running and power lifting. With all of my experience I will say pole has been the best work out I have ever received. I have been a competitive pole performer for 2.5 years now. I will say this studio is one of the best in the state. They are challenging, safe, and very warm and welcoming. They have moves for all levels and never make you feel unsupported, unsafe, or out of place. This is a home away from home. The women who train and teach here are so empowering. You will leave this studio a changed person that is for sure!! Highly recommend!!

I have been a member since ATX Pole Fitness opened. It is one of the best places to dance, pole, and stay fit! Every class builds off another so beginners to experts-there is something for everyone. Stacy is very attentive to the needs and advancement of every student as well as all the instructors. It's a community built by award winning pole dancers who have dedicated their time to help all ages, levels and people to stay fit having fun and to grow internally and externally! I'm grateful to have become a part of ATX Pole!

I really like the instructors and welcoming atmosphere but there are some areas for improvement. The space is small - but I feel that it in some ways helps to push everyone together and start talking! The pole class taught by Megan had a wonderful flow to it - and even for a beginner class we had a small combo at the end! Jessica Marie is fantastic at instructing where to place your hands and other elements of technique. The dance classes are fun and empowering.

Only areas of improvement - the instructors always play two roles, as a front desk person and an instructor. It's usually fine but for really busy classes can take away time from the class. I wish that the classes were capped for the number of poles. It's frustrating to go and not be able to do anything almost half the class.... For better or worse it's difficult to keep a routine schedule because the class times get switched up almost every week.

ATX is an incredible Pole Fitness studio. I've been taking classes here for 2.5 years and I've grown so much as an athlete and as a person. Pole Fitness was really intimidating at first, but you can't help but fall in love with the sport - the instructors are incredibly passionate about what they do, about their student's success, and it creates a fitness environment like I've never experienced before. You will be challenged in a healthy, fun way, that makes you want to succeed, in a supportive environment. No flexibility, prior dance, strength, or previous aerial experience required. They treat everyone like family!

The team at ATX is great - always very encouraging. Don't be afraid to try a pole class - but if that's not your thing, they have yoga, ballet, flexibility, and more. Small class sizes keep things manageable and less intimidating.
