When I was first taking the leap into personal fitness I was so overwhelmed and had absolutely no idea about any aspect of it. I was at a point where I was weak and had no energy for daily activities. I found Tommy online and decided to take a leap of faith and give it a shot despite never being in the fitness world before. I thought maybe I would go to a couple of classes and get the basics. Now 6 months later, I’m still here and I could not be happier with my decision! Not only did Tommy build a specialized program fit for my needs, but going in he was so compassionate, thoughtful, and genuine with wanting to help me reach my goals! He is so understanding, helpful and always makes sure that you are comfortable with what you are training that day. I couldn’t recommend working with Tommy enough! He not only helped build my strength and endurance dramatically, but also greatly improved my confidence both inside and outside of the gym and made the classes a blast as well! 10/10!

I'd thought about seeing Tommy for a while (several of my friends go and love working with him), and I am so glad I took the leap!
My goals coming into training were to focus on my form, mobility, and to shake up my routine. Even coming in with a background in athletics and a fairly established lifting routine, I've learned so much from Tommy. He's helped me to focus more on my mind-body connection instead of getting through reps quickly or ego lifting. Already I feel more intentional with my training and more aware of which muscles I should be engaging during which lifts. I really enjoy how he tailors your training plan to focus on your personal goals while still making sure you're well-rounded and building overall strength.
You can also tell that Tommy has worked hard to cultivate a uniquely welcoming and supportive gym culture. He takes the time to make introductions when you're new and it feels like a safe (and fun!) environment to get a great workout.

I started going to Tommy because I wanted to build strength and develop a sustainable fitness routine. I never felt like I deserved to invest in myself like this before and I wish I had squashed that lie in my head so much earlier.
Tommy's approach is adaptive and attentive to my personal fitness goals while encouraging holistic growth as a person. Everyone in the gym is friendly and I feel very comfortable, especially as a woman.
In the span of a workout we will have talked on music, career goals, mental health, challenges and successes, and so much more. I am excited to work hard, have a laugh, and receive some of his wisdom-- frequently all in the same breath!

I couldn't recommend Tommy's services enough.
Aside from the physical aspect (which is thoughtful, appropriate, tailored to you, and pushes you just the right amount) he has a holistic approach that goes far beyond the work you do in the gym, and impacts your life positively in a constant, ongoing way. It is as much of a mental workout sometimes and this is my favorite thing about my sessions specifically.
If find myself walking in to my session feeling off, or not in a good mood, I always walk out feeling refreshed, connected, and centered.
If you are on the fence, I encourage you to give yourself one easy expectation - just show up the first time. If it doesn't feel right, you are no better or worse off. But if it does, it could be life-changing.

Excellent personal training! Tommy helped me articulate my goals and created a personalized plan to achieve them. Sessions are motivating, encouraging, and tailored to my fitness level. Scheduling is flexible. Communication is easy. The gym is small, clean, and personal. Would highly recommend!

Whatever is stopping you from taking the next step, let it go. I started with Tommy six weeks ago and it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Tommy is wonderful - kind, encouraging, funny, and motivating. His workouts are challenging (that’s a good thing!) but his demeanor and the overall energy of the gym are positive and fun. I truly enjoy walking into the space and working hard.
Since joining with Austin Fitness and Coaching I have lost weight and inches, but more than that I’ve gained back who I am. We tend to focus on the external and what I’ve realized these last few weeks is how much of myself I’d lost. My confidence is back, I’m more sure of myself, and overall I’m just a happier and more authentic me.

Tommy's quickly become the inspiring partner I needed to start putting my health back together. Our time together a few times a week is one I genuinely look forward to!
He's been a great fit for me as I try to tap into a younger, more in shape, self, but I've been able to witness him meet people of all shapes and sizes where they're at. I think of my initial call with him as a precise turning point in my personal wellness, and I'd encourage anyone wanting to make some improvements in their health or fitness levels to see if he's a good fit.

If you're considering reaching out to Tommy for training - DO IT! I am so grateful to have found him for personal training. He is incredibly supportive and accommodating, while still helping to push you forward and keep you motivated. He routinely checks in to make sure you're feeling well and on track, both physically and mentally.
Also, the atmosphere is perfect. You typically work out in small group sessions, and he seems to attract the best people. Everyone is positive and encouraging and I've never felt intimidated or overwhelmed, even as someone relatively new to working out. Give him a chance! You won't regret it.

Tommy is extremely gifted! He treats everything as carefully and sensitively as possible in order to achieve the best results.
The space itself is perfect for me personally! It’s smaller and not intimidating unlike the larger gyms like golds, planet fitness, etc.
If you want to work with folks who are going to make sure you see results and are doing it in a way that’s right for your body, this is the place to go!

Austin Fitness & Coaching has recalibrated my perspective on personal training. Tommy meets every person where they are, engaging in conversations about not just fitness goals, but the pursuit of being a healthy, happy and proactive human being.
I've always felt that personal training and fitness plans are either too intense, not intense enough or simply not enjoyable. I've never found a trainer that knows when to push me and how hard to push me without it being an unpleasant experience. Tommy makes it easy for me to drop what I'm doing for an hour several times a week because I know that it will be a session of reasonably hard work mixed with good music, good conversation and good people. I leave each session feeling rejuvenated.
Since starting with Tommy, my body fat has dropped, my nutritional habits have significantly improved, and I feel stronger than ever.
Go see Tommy if you are tired of high-volume training centers, looking for an alternative to modern 'gym culture', or simply want to do the right workouts with the right techniques to see tangible results quickly.

Tommy is a wonderful trainer and coach. I went to college with him, and happened to run into him at our kids soccer game. I had been looking for a way to get back into fitness after the shutdown, and the timing of us reconnecting was serendipitous. I’ve worked out with trainers before, and Tommy’s thorough knowledge of fitness continues to impress me and guide my goals with every week of working out. I have been fortunate to have trained with Tommy for nearly four years. I credit him with taking me to a level of strength and stability in my senior years that I had not felt in decades. Totally awesome place with professional, personalized training. Tommy made me feel comfortable as a person new to gym/training culture.
