Course and Atmosphere is nice! My only complaint is the website shows 6 packs of domestic beers are $12 but when you go to the 19th hole or the cart girl sells them to you itβs $22. Not sure why the website isnβt updated but thatβs not good advertising.

One of the few grass/sod driving ranges in the area. We drive 45 minutes and it is worth the drive. A little pricey for a large bucket, but hitting off the turf enables true, realistic shots to be practiced.

Decent layout, fun and cheap. They were aerating but rest of course wasnβt too bad. First time here and will come back for the price and once everything settles.

Good value. Course was in pretty good condition but range was closed so we couldn't warm up. Needed a Marshall out on course to enforce pace of play though. Will play again

Course is in great shape but itβs with a heavy heart I have to give this review. I have played competitive golf for 12 plus years now just for fun. Iβve never experienced what I experienced memorial Day
Weekend on Saturday. Arrived to course and saw someone peeing in the parking lot facing the parking lot with no care. Had the unfortunate time being stuck behind a group of 7/8 all playing a scramble hitting multiple shots off the tee and from the fairway. After one shot from my group hit into them. They took the ball and through it in the trees. Started leaving pins out so we didnβt know where the hole was. Then got confrontational during the round and after in the pro shop when I went in to tell them what had happen. I tried to get in touch with the pro with no success. All they wanted to know is if I had a good time. Golf is always a good time for me but it seems to me as long as the tee sheet is getting booked the pro couldnβt care less about the experience for some. Iβd figure a course that is the home course for a D1 school would have better ethics

This is a pretty great course for the money. It is the cheapest course around and you get what you pay for. If you dont expect Augusta and understand what you are paying for, you will really enjoy this course. It is moderately difficult and in good shape. I will definitely be playing here again.

I'm new to golf (March 2024) and initially really liked using this course. However, recently, I've been left unimpressed. The front nine has been unavailable for weeks (maybe months?). The ground was so hard and compact at the tee boxes today that I could barely get a tee in the ground. Finally, today, they had a "marshal" patrolling the course who was incredibly condescending and rude (on two separate occasions). I concede I made a mistake with where I took the cart, but it was a rookie mistake (due to inexperience) and he decided to completely just kill the vibe/spirit with how he addressed the issue. Not an enjoyable experience recently.

Great prices to play the course! Newer carts with coolers and ice available upon request! Beer on tap inside the restaurant with a nice environment to relax after the round!

Nice course, well maintained, challenging, staff was friendly and members were very polite. A good place to get away from the city of Houston and enjoy the fresh air.

Mainly this review is of Hunter, the golf pro. I took one lesson and he was 15 minutes late but charged me for the full hour. After that he cancelled on us three times. I finally gave up....wish there was another golf pro. I learned to play at Cinco Ranch where they had free clinics during the week and on Saturdays for members....it really helped my game
They also need a putting green with actual holes I mean come on. The course c

Most affordable golf I have experienced. Memberships are cheap compared to other courses I have played. Itβs not the nicest course I have played on, but it is one of the most challenging. Par 4βs are hard to get to in 2 shots. Get a lot of wedge action to get to the greens.

Always nice people and attendants on site. I've played here a lot of times and this is the first time (3/18/23) that I've seen greens so deteriorated and having broadleaf growth. Hopefully things turn for the better once spring is in full bloom.

Greens are in great shape! As is most of the course. There are just a few holes that have something uprooting the grass but it's not as large as wild hogs. Love the elevations. Other than that, it's well worth the trip.

Been a couple years. Really glad to make it back. The staff are friendly and take care to make your round all you would expect. The course is in good condition and greens are true. Pace of play surprised me for a holiday weekend. Or maybe the groups ahead were just that good. The weather turned and just don't play in lighting. There was a guy with a big boat who was gathering up animals 2x2. Stood in the fairway and waved him on his way.

This course is constantly improving, especially since the University took it over. Looks like they are putting a lot of work into the greens. Fairways could use some improvement, however at the asking price and overall course conditions, this course offers a chance to play affordable, enjoyable golf.
There are few areas where trees come into play, however their use of long grass adds to difficulty. If you miss the fairway, you're likely not finding your ball.
Their range balls are new, which adds to the value of this course.

Greens are in good/great shape. Fairways are a little rough and rock hard. A little rain or water on the fairways is desperately needed. Poison ivy and poison oak everywhere! Overall, the course is nice and a pretty solid test of your golfing skills. Pace of play is glacial at best so don't be in a hurry.

Grounds team has been hard at work recovering the greens from last year and it definitely shows. The greens look great albeit lightning fast. Overall an awesome and challenging course. Lots of elevation changes with most holes being way above your head. Staff was very helpful π

The layout of the course is amazingly fun and highly challenging (I switched to the yellow tees mid round). The staff is extremely friendly and the course is welcoming (many families on the driving range which is great!).
The problem with the course is the greens. Only one of the eighteen greens was in playable shape. Two of the greens were fairway style since the normal green was so rough. However, the price reflected this as the round with a cart was only $35.
If you're looking to work on your game outside the putting, totally worth playing. If you want good greens, maybe check back in a few months.

Great freaking layout but the greens was in bad shape. I believe it was due to the bad freeze we had. I played this course in November and it was in perfect shape. I canβt wait until they get them greens back. The price during the weekend was perfect.

Challenging greens and course. Some of the greens have been recently poked(only where needed) so less than ideal conditions. Other than that...a really great value at $40 after tax. When on the north side near Conroe, its worth the extra 25min drive. You won't regret it.

Course was nice enough. The staff could of been more agreeable with a smile or eye contact. The beer girl could not of made us feel more unwelcomed at 4:40p. Her very vocal *sigh* made me not want to tip. In hospitality, you make your *guest* feel welcome.
Our friend was trying to get us to get a membership. Not sure it's going to happen. Just wanted a nice place to spend money & not feel like a burden. P.S. my husband still tipped her $8 on a $12 beer order

I've never in my life seen worse greens than at this course. They were like 30% dirt and rocks. They couldn't manage to fill the air in the tires of all the golf cars either

I was camping at Huntsville State park and decided to play this course. What a great course! A challenge from all tees. On a gorgeous piece of land, rolling fairways , tough greens, and difficult rough make it fun challenge. I have driven past this course so many times assuming it wasn't much. Well I cant wait to play it again.

This golf course is the best kept secret in Texas golf courses. It is a challenging layout and allows the average golfer an opportunity to hit all the clubs in their bag. Even though it's a short par 4, #16 is a real challenge to hold the green with your second shot. Kept it left on this hole. Over the green is a real challenge to get up and down. If you have an opportunity to play this course, you owe it to yourself to do so. Hit'um long and straight and have a great time. I really miss being there to play this fine golf course!
