Breakthrough Fitness is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Dustin and Jenn. We have had the privilege to train 100s of clients over our 25+ years of experience in the Fitness Industry as Certified Personal Trainers. We have the knowledge and experience to help you achieve any fitness goal. We believe in putting our clients first! We understand the life struggles you may face, from job stresses, raising children, recovering after COVID, life stresses, relationship stresses, that might make it difficult to make your health and fitness goals a priority. We will help you find a way to make fitness be apart of your life! So you can manage stress better and have a happier healthier more energetic life, that you can be excited about.

I was uncertain how it would work out when I first started training under Dustin. I'm 66 and disabled, and had a minor stroke in May. I didn't know how well it would work out. I have my entire lumbar section fused and cope with chronic pain.
Dustin adjusts my workouts depending on how my pain level is that day. He started with basic balance and mobility exercises and gradually moved to basic resistance training.
I've gotten part of my life back thanks to him. I now use my cane much less and feel better overall.
If you're older or have mobility issues definitely talk to him. I'm glad I did.

I’ve been training with Dustin for the past six months, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. When I started, I was dealing with tennis elbow pain in both arms—a condition that had worsened over time after I stopped working out two years ago due to a left tennis elbow injury. Despite seeing 3-4 physiotherapists in the past, it was through Dustin’s personalized training regime that I finally experienced true recovery and strengthening.

I started working with Dustin because I needed help getting my strength and range of motion back after injury. We discussed my current knowledge and strength, the weaknesses and imbalances that caused my injury, and goals. From there, Dustin came up with a tailored program that took 4 sessions to grasp and I now use every time I train. Dustin makes working out and being at the gym for someone that's not sportsy a comfortable experience. He explains how to use the machines and also makes plans for what to do when working out outside of our personal training sessions. Dustin is fantastic and knows his information. From lifting weights, cardio, mobility and diet he can customize your experience to really work for you. Like many who've posted a review, Jenn Jackson has been my trainer for many years, and I'm not her oldest client. That alone speaks volumes for Jenn. She's a professional who not only understands exercise form and technique, she also understands people and how to motivate them succeed so they can achieve their goals. There are a million compliments I could pay to her about my personal journey, but let me pass along a bit of medical information - in these 6 1/2 years, my blood work has improved remarkably - I'm no longer borderline anything, my weight has come down (though I still need to do a ton of personal work) and my resting heart rate is in the upper 50's. A few years ago, I blew out my ACL (complete rupture), Jenn worked with me to stabilize my knee - my orthopedic doctor was completely blown away by my progress and passed along his compliments to her for her skills in physical therapy. She understood how to rehabilitate the knee - what I could and could not do. I went from not being able to bend it beyond 90 degrees to rowing a 1/2 marathon on a rower within 9 months of the incident. 11 months later I climbed to the top of an Aztec ruin - all thanks to Jenn and her commitment to helping me build back my mobility, stability and strength. In many ways, I wouldn't be who I am today without Jenn. She is the best trainer I know and truly one of the best people I have the privilege of knowing. If you're ready to make your health a priority and achieve your fitness goals, you will not go wrong by choosing Jenn as your trainer.

I have Type 2 diabetes and obesity. Dustin has helped me with diet planning and exercise. He is patient, kind, professional, insightful, funny, down to earth and an encourager. Training with Jenn was a blessing when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Everything felt so overwhelming, but the getting healthy part didn't feel nearly as difficult as I thought it was going to be, with her guidance.
We've spent 8 months now reshaping my diet and the way I feel about exercising. I now can run 3 miles without needing a break OR hating it. The most obvious transformation is going from 184lbs when I checked in to the hospital at diagnosis to 140lbs with the help and guidance from Jenn.
She's given me too many wonderful ideas and tips for how to stay on track. Making the lifestyle changes I needed to, with her guidance has been exponentially important to keeping my flare ups to a minimum.
I think anyone looking to take their health seriously would be blessed to have a trainer like Jennifer. Thank you again for everything!

Dustin Colson saved my life. I met him 6 years and 75lbs ago.I had just been diagnosed with kidney failure and was debating weight loss surgery. I walked into the gym and signed up for 8 training sessions, thinking this will never work. My 1st session this handsome young extremely fit "kid" walked up to me and told me if I showed up 3 days a week and just tried he'd be with me every step of the way. Yep, I thought this is never going to work but he was right & I was very wrong. I did the 3 C's(cried,complained & canceled)but Dustin wouldn't let me quit or give up on me. He would say If you can't, you can. 2 weeks ago I officially went on the Kidney Transplant List. Without Dustin, in my heart I know I would have been on that list years ago and possibly not even be here to tell people how amazing he is,not just as a trainer but a human being.
He just wasn't my trainer, he is my friend. And if you can't, You Can!
