Even today, it continues to revolutionize the conventional studio model by introducing innovative alignment techniques. Through a range of offerings including live Zoom sessions, private sessions, corporate yoga, and events. Breath and Body Yoga constantly explores new avenues within the asana practice while embracing heartfelt approaches.

It has been 10 years since I first took a class at Breath and Body! While I am not the most intense or skilled student, I have been consistently showing up for a decade now. Before encountering BBY, I would bounce around from studio to studio, always getting bored after taking classes in 1 place for awhile. I can safely say that I have NEVER felt bored in a BBY class. BBY constantly challenges you to try new poses and deepen the ones that you have done a thousand times. There is no limit to the depth of mindfulness and body awareness that this practice can give you! I no longer see a chiropractor. My body is strong! I look in the mirror and feel proud of what it can do. This practice is powerful and unique- there is nothing else like it! Every class is excellent, and I want to recognize Desirae's efforts in making sure that the class quality is consistent across all teachers.
Thank you to Desirae and all of the teachers I have had over the years! You have transformed my relationship to my body in such a positive way. For prospective students- get ready to sweat and grow out of your comfort zone! You are going to bend your knees a lot, but just trust it! You'll have a great butt in no time! :)

This yoga studio is great! Desirae, the studio owner, and all other teachers are great instructors and theyβre always kind. Thanks to their online classes Iβve been able to keep up with my yoga practice without taking a break during the pandemic.

UNWELCOMING! Owner, Desirae is miserable! Waste of money. Never have I enrolled in a yoga studio and dropped out after paying because owner is so ugly and unbearable. Desirae will kick you out after class and reprimand you for every move you make, from where you put your shoes, water, etc...she is so uptight, cold and controlling she ruins any zen vibe from the teachers here. Not a relaxing Namaste atmosphere. This studio does not represent the vibe of Austin, which is very welcoming and chill. With countless yoga studios in Austin, no need to tolerate bad treatment. Go to Wanderlust or Sanctuary yoga for the real ATX Yoga Namaste experience. This place is overpriced and over rated. OWNER ALSO DOES NOT REMEMBER HER PAYING CLIENTS, the ones she is so rude and unwelcoming to, she is clueless.

I just took a class with Keren this morning. She is not just an incredible instructor, but she is also an extremely genuine and kind human being. We need more light workers like her on the planetπ

I used to love going here. However, after several friends were experiencing injuries as a result of practicing here I started paying closer attention. Some of the teachers are downright scary- selling their diatribes as therapists with doctorates that they don't actually have.

I love Breath and Body. I begin practicing here when I was pretty young when they were at their Burnet location, and I still go 4 years later. I have tried other yoga places, but I keep returning to breath and body because of the challenge of the classes and the welcoming, zen atmosphere I can always count on. I love Desirae and all of the staff, especially Gray! They are all so sweet like a family.

Pros: knowledgable staff and good workout. This is a good yoga studio if you're a middle aged, white woman named Karen.
Cons: Not good for beginners, owner forgot my name multiple times, and lacks an easy going vibe that gives me anxiety.

This studio should be called "Yoga for Narcissists". The most "cliquish" studio I have ever been to in my 22 years of practice, and, extremely unfriendly. I went here for a month because I accidentally signed up for a month without doing some light investigation first. When you enter the practice studio the room is NOISY with people talking about their haircuts, dates, and general drama. At the first class I participated in I asked, very nicely, for two people who were sitting right at the top of my head gossiping, at full volume , to please lower their voices ( I was in shavassana ) I was reprimanded the next day by the owner for saying anything to " the regulars" about the volume in which they spoke. I mean they applaud at the end of the classes! as if yoga was some kind of performance. Sorry ( not sorry ) not for me thanks. I read on one of their sites they claim to have " the hardest classes in Austin" lol. uhh, hardly. Unless by "hardest" they mean "difficulty in achieving inner peace and serenity while tolerating the b.s. that goes on in their studios " well then, yes, this place takes the cake. p.s. I wanted to mention , I was thanked at the end of my first class by two students that I did not know for speaking up and asking the clique women to please lower their voices when students are relaxing, or trying too at least.

I was born as a Baptiste yogi at Breath and Body Yoga in Austin Texas. I've written about my experiences on the mat at BBY many times over the years. It is safe to say that if I had chosen some other yoga studio for my first class, it is likely I would not have continued practicing and I certainly wouldn't have sought to become a yoga teacher. Every teacher I had the good fortune to work with at BBY has touched my life profoundly.
BBY has moved locations from the Burnett Road studio where I was born, but regardless of their street address, they are a space of love and healing in Austin Texas.

This is my favorite yoga studio of all time! I love the feeling of community, the intensity and depth of practice, and the themes that are woven through each practice. Each instructor is different and has their strengths, but they will all help guide you with their instructions deeper into your practice. All of the yogis here really push themselves and are wonderful people. Itβs nice to practice with such a strong community. And, if your lucky you may even have Josh do some fantastic singing with the harmonium! Truly spectacular and transcending.

No other yoga studio makes me feel as renewed and empowered as Breath and Body Yoga. Every teacher here genuinely cares about your practice!
I go out of my way to attend Caitlyn's classes! And I recently went to Diana's class-- she's also amazing! I always see improvement in my practice because they encourage me to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone. I love that I feel confident here and am so grateful to have found this studio!

I was very impressed with both studios and the friendliness of the staff. They were very kind, and the space was clean and welcoming. It was my first yoga class in Austin, and I really enjoyed that the teachers offer corrections, push you through poses and encourage you to try new poses with assistance, if needed. Laura W's 6am class is such a great start to my day, and she really takes the time with her students. I loved it, so I bought their introductory week package, and have upgraded to the month. I recommend this studio to everyone looking to challenge themselves on the mat!

Breath and Body is an awesome studio! My first class was a 6AM hot power vinyasa with Laura--who's an amazing instructor. I was really excited to try a more demanding class. Even in the heat, Laura made the class fun and challenging. She offered options for more experienced yogis and helped make corrections on new moves. The studio is super clean and very zen. I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute there, and will definitely be back!

As a guy new to yoga, I was nervous and unsure about going to class and what to expect. The class was a tough work out - this is not meditative yoga. The teachers are warm and welcoming and there was no judgement. The teachers showed me how to modify poses and I could see changes after just a few classes. I'm happy that I actually pulled the trigger and went - great find!

I've been taking classes from BBY for close to a year now and it has been a spectacular experience! Here you will find dedicated, experienced, and compassionate instructors who are consistently excellent each class, every time. Their vinyasa classes are heated, but it's done so in a way to help you deepen into your practice, not to exhaust you. I highly recommend the Sridaiva classes for anyone, whether it be an experienced practitioner looking to take their practice to a whole new level, or a beginner looking for some spot on advice on how to fix body pain and build a solid foundation for a sustainable yoga practice. The studio is beautiful and very clean. You'll feel at peace the moment you walk in :)

BBY is definitely the premiere yoga studio in Austin (and arguably one of the premiere studios in the country). The experience is consistent - challenging, educational, and centering. The best part about this studio is the community - such a vibrant group who love each other and welcome newcomers.

Breath and Body is like no other studio. It's a home away from home. You are welcomed, encouraged and supported by all the teachers and staff. Your yoga practice grows from the inside out. A deeper understanding and connection to your mind, body and soul is what you can expect at every single visit whether you "felt" like going or not. I have left every class fulfilled and renewed.

I've been a sporadic yoga practitioner for many years now. I've been practicing more regularly since Breath an Body began offering a 10AM class at the Exposition Blvd location, because it works so well for my schedule. The teachers are clear and encouraging with their instruction. It's the best yoga experience I've had in Austin.

Hands down the best yoga in Austin. It is vigorous physically, but still incorporates mind and spirit. When I got plantar fasciitis and couldn't run, I started going to BBY 5 days a week and was the fittest I've ever been. Once you go to Breath and Body it's hard to go to other studios because the quality is so good. Great teachers, great community... I can't praise enough!

Very good yoga studio. Straightforward, traditional, no muss, and Desirae is a wonderful instructor - she just knows all the right adjustments! The schedule is well established too which is helpful, and love the fresh cut grapefruit for an after practice treat.
