British Swim School offers swimming lessons for kids and adults, starting as early as 3 months. Located inside 24 Hour Fitness, we're open year-round and welcome both gym members and non-members. You can learn to swim when you’re ready and continue until you’ve mastered the skills. We use gentle teaching methods and a survival-first approach to help swimmers of all levels become safer and more confident in the water. Our safe, fun, and effective teaching methods have made us the preferred choice for parents and students for over 40 years. Our confidence-building curriculum and small swimming classes provide a consistent format and structure with one-on-one attention for each swimmer. Private swimming lessons are subject to availability.

We've had a wonderful experience at British Swim School with our 8yr old daughter. In just a short time, she progressed two levels __ much faster than we expected! The instructors are patient, professional, and truly know how to connect with kids. They make learning fun while also building confidence and strong swimming skills. Each parent has different expectations, but for me, it’s important that the instructor corrects my child’s form immediately—before incorrect movements become muscle memory. I’m not expecting my daughter to become a professional swimmer, but I do want her to develop proper technique and practice with purpose so she can swim confidently and safely, especially in emergency situations. The staff, owner, and instructors have all been supportive and communicative, and I really appreciate their help in working toward that goal.

Enrolled my three kids for summer swim lessons (all at different skill levels). My two oldest had Ian as an instructor and I can tell that he really knows his stuff. He provided the perfect level of instruction and as a result, my kids swimming skills really boomed during this period— thank you Ian and British Swim School!

Great instructors and Owner management. Flexible schedules, small class sizes. My instructors Abha and Ramon are amazing and very patient. Learnt swimming really quickly due to their teaching techniques.

i started this swim school and had no idea how to swim and let me tell u this: i was constantly being switched to and from different instructors (yes that’s normal in swim schools but we had specifically asked for the teachers to always be women and we got two men five or more times) and each instructor told me different things about how to swim a certain way and when i told them how the other instructors told me to do it and every time they said no that’s wrong. its overall not organized and they should be following a specific curriculum not letting each instructor tell the same student different things . i’m not lying i learnt more in three days at the pool on vacation then the two months + of classes here

I can't say enough great things about this swim school! My 4-year-old daughter has been attending, and from the very first lesson, we’ve been impressed by the incredible staff. They are so friendly, welcoming, and truly care about the kids. Each instructor is not only skilled but also incredibly attentive, ensuring that my daughter is always comfortable and engaged. I especially love how they maintain continuity in her learning by ensuring the same instructor works with her at every class. This consistency has made a noticeable difference in her progress! The team is also proactive in their approach, keeping us updated on her development and always responding to any questions promptly. It's clear they create a safe and nurturing environment where my daughter is both learning and having fun. Overall, I’m beyond happy with our experience. 10/10—highly recommend!

The staff and managers are very friendly at the McKinney and Allen locations. The instructors make sure to teach the importance of water safety. The explain every skill in detail. My son was able to move up several levels in a short period of time. Which goes to show how well the staff and managers are. I will always recommend them!
