My daughter started with BSS back in August 2023 as a starfish. She was not very comfortable putting her head underwater, or getting into water for that matter. She immediately connected with her instructor, Antony, who was patient and made sure that all the kiddos in her class were comfortable.

BSS is PERFECT for helping your kid become comfortable with the water and practicing crucial water safety protocols like floating on their back, calling for an adult, etc. Once the kids were able to perfect these, they would move up and start learning freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke and butterfly.

My original intention putting my daughter in BSS was to make sure that she could swim on her own safely should anything ever happen. BSS far surpassed that and at the age of 6, she is now a better swimmer than half of my family.

She started as a Starfish and climbed her way up to Shark 2. It took almost two years but it was so worth it. I couldn’t recommend BSS enough. We had the most incredible time with them and I’m so grateful that they taught my baby girl how to swim and swim WELL.

My child attended here for a year. While there were some positive aspects, there were also a few concerns. The water temperature was consistently low, and she was often shivering from the cold — a rash guard was essential. Sometimes the staff didn’t seem fully prepared for the first lesson on Sunday mornings, and on two occasions, the instructor didn’t show up, resulting in same-day cancellations. Unfortunately, we were left waiting without notice.

Since the pool is rented from a sports gym, our access to showers, lockers, and restrooms was quite limited. That said, I really appreciated the instructor in the photo (I’ve forgotten his name). He had a friendly and attentive teaching style that my child enjoyed. Thank you.

Need to give a shoutout to Adrian and Maddie from this location! They were super accommodating when I showed up for a class at the wrong time and were able to do a quick impromptu lesson for our son.

The lessons in general are great too, very practical application, especially compared to other comparable swim programs, and our son enjoyed the classes more than others we've been to.

We’ve been to a few swim programs around town - YMCA, Emler and private, and this is my favorite program by far! Corrin, Matt and Adrian are exceptional at working with the kids - they are fun, patient and provide an individual approach to teaching. We also like that we can makeup sessions very easily at no additional cost.

Thank you to the amazing teachers matt and Antony. There are many others for sure those are the ones I have worked with the most. These guys are so patient with the kids my child has adhd and asthma and was so afraid to put his face in the water. Now due to these amazing teachers he's up 4 levels and doing so well just in a few months. Thank you guys

I have two young kiddos that have been attending BSS for the last few months and absolutely love it. Both of them were initially pretty nervous but that quickly faded with coaches who are engaging, built up their confidence, and push them when a little extra nudge is needed.

Class sizes are small, coaches are professional, location inside LA fitness is convenient, and pricing is pretty reasonable. Customer service is very quick to call and respond via phone and text, which I love. The app is helpful, but could use a lot of improvement, which I attribute more to the parent company and not this individual franchise.

This place is amazing. I signed up my 9 year old son for swimming lessons once per week. He was terrified of the water. His first class he cried tears because he simply wasn't comfortable in the water. Fast forward 2 months he's advanced tremendously. The tears are a thing of the past and most importantly he is very comfortable in the water. He has had different instructors and they were all great with him. I like that the classes do not have more than 4 kids total. He has learned so much and I will be forever grateful to British Swim. I recommend to everyone who asks.

British Swim School is an outstanding swim school. We have been with them for a few years. Instructors are outstanding and they do a great job in coaching kids thoroughly, they test kids regularly and move kids up as and when they feel kids are ready for the next level. Staff (both onsite & offsite) is great and always helpful and flexible and make sure we get the best experience. Owner is a wonderful person who always tries to delight his clients, he has personally taken classes for kids to cover for sick instructors. Their app is amazing and makes it so convenient to add classes or schedule make ups. Overall a delightful experience!!!

Our daughter is becoming a strong little swimmer. Her teacher, Drew, pushes her and helps her learn the technique of the strokes. She is hoping to join swim team next summer. I really enjoy British Swim School because of the ease of the app, the flexibility when life happens (sick kids, etc) and the overall class experience. My kiddos have become safer swimmers because of the program.

When we first started at British Swim School, our two boys were like cement blocks in the water. Only a few months in, they were swimming like fish! We have stayed over a year even though both are quite capable swimmers and the reason is the owners, Brian and Ana, and the staff, are all extremely supportive, communicative, and just excellent people. I highly recommend BSS to anyone who wants your children to learn how to swim and have a blast doing it!
