The trainers are motivating, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. There’s zero judgment here, and I always leave feeling uplifted and empowered.
It’s only been a month, and I already see so much progress—physically and mentally.Sean, the owner, is also extremely kind and clearly cares about each person’s individual progress. It’s obvious he genuinely wants to see people grow—not just physically, but, in confidence too. When you’re working on your body and mindset, it’s so important to surround yourself with people who lead by example—and Sean embodies that energy throughout the gym. You can feel his passion not just in his own work, but in the entire HTX Calisthenics community
When I first started, Jen, one of the trainers, was incredibly welcoming, supportive, and helpful. She made me feel completely at ease—something that hasn’t always come easy for me in gym settings. Jen has such a beautiful energy that inspires you to push harder, yet still keeps a smile on your face while doing it.

It has been some time since I went to the Montrose location that has since closed down, but the experience was incredible. From the tech of being able to schedule classes online (and this was 5 years ago), to the friendly instructors, to the undeniable rapid results, I would would absolutely go to this place again if they were a location near me. My absolute favorite was the "fire and ice" sessions going back and forth between an ice bath and a sauna. If you haven't tried it, it is life-changing.

Great community. Sean, Henry, and Jen are all great coaches that meet everyone where they’re at, but also know how to push them to get better. Best sauna/cold plunge set up I have found in Houston too

I've been training with Sean (the owner) in calisthenics for over 4 years now, and I can confidently say it's been one of the best fitness decisions I've made. What sets this gym apart is their commitment to small class sizes, which ensures personalized attention and proper form correction. The trainers are knowledgeable and passionate about calisthenics. They take the time to understand your goals and help you progress safely and effectively. Sean has assembled a great team that truly cares about their clients' success.

The community here is exceptional - everyone is supportive and encouraging, regardless of your fitness level. You'll find yourself surrounded by like-minded individuals who push each other to achieve their goals.

If you're interested in bodyweight fitness or want to join a gym with a fantastic community atmosphere, I highly recommend checking out Calisthenics Club Houston.

Great gym. The classes are fun (especially the handstand class) and most of the exercises have progressions so you can increase the difficulty as you get stronger.

My buddy brought me here for a handstand class and I was great!

Everyone was welcoming and the coach made sure to really warm us up and stretch out before we got upside down.

I feel like I actually got a lot better from just this one class, and definitely had some mid-level DOMS pretty much all over my body👍

I’m sure the other classes would be just as fun and beneficial, and the sauna/cold plunge out back looked real nice.

Mats were nice and clean. Highly recommend!

Calisthenics gyms are uncommon. Having a place to train my body to be stronger and mobile has been invaluable. One month in and I have seen massive improvement in my energy and motion. There are class times for every need here, and the training is top notch. Definitely worth every penny.

A lot of great stuff to say about CCH and would recommend to just about anyone who's looking for long-term, consistent strength & mobility development. Some of the highlights are:

- small class sizes means the trainers frequently tailor the instruction to the group/individual attendees - they show the movement at different levels of skill/flexibility/strength and can customize workouts on the fly as needed

- the facility itself is great - super high quality equipment and just a nice space to be in

- on top of the instructors/owners themselves, the other students in the group classes are also super welcoming

If you haven't tried calisthenics before but are looking for something that combines strength training & mobility development, you should try it. You'll feel whether it's a good fit or not pretty quickly. I did the intro pack and found it to be a good fit and signed up for the regular membership.

This is the best and only calisthenics gym in Houston. The instructors Sean and Henry are amazing. They pay great attention to detail and explain each movement thoroughly. The other members at the gym are very welcoming and encouraging. I personally have achieved many milestones in these classes (pull-ups, handstands, pistol squat). They also have these super fun coffee and handstand classes every Saturday. If you bring your own cup you get a free coffee !

Calisthenics truly changed my life! I've finally found relief from chronic low back pain and poor flexibility. It has allowed me to enjoy BJJ so much more and train at a much higher level. Using your bodyweight at a mechanical disadvantage really strengthens your accessory muscles, increases your flexibility, and improves your ability to move freely. I just wish I had found many years, and injuries, ago.

Highly recommend!!!

I ditched the chiropractor and kissed goodbye 20 years of continuous knee pain after starting calisthenics workouts with Sean and Henry. They are amazing instructors. Calisthenics literally changed my life.
