I have loved my time at CHF! The staff has been so helpful: Victor, Bruno, Carlos, & Alexa at the front are kindly accommodating - answering my questions and helping me sign up for classes. I have been loving Kelly's Castle Barre, and anytime there is a substitute they are always so fun. The facility is clean, well stocked with everything you may need, and welcoming. As someone who has a lot of gym anxiety but loves moving my body, it has been so pleasant to be here. Thank CHF staff!

If you haven;t taken a cycle class with Amy, you are missing out for sure. I always get my monies worth! She has more energy in the morning then I do, and well, I have a lot. Gym is great, from the front desk on. Lots of other classes too!

This place is so impressive!!! I didn’t expect how big it was. Good equipment for lifting heavy, SO MANY CLASS SPACES! Their group class schedule is insanely impressive especially at their price point. The staff made me feel like family right away. I love their outdoor lifting area and the boxing class room. So many options! Thanks for doing what you do!

I've had a great first experience with Jerry Gerlich setting up a bike fit at Castle Hill Fitness. Jerry has gone out of his way to offer support and extend his wealth of knowledge - starting with the extensive pre-fit consultation. Coming to Jerry following a disappointing bike fit that focused more on algorithms and less on my individual needs & functioning, and am finding a very different experience with him. Looking forward to working further with Jerry in the future!

I’ve been going here for almost four years now. I tried a couple of other places along the way but always came right back to CHF. Friendly staff, always room to do whatever workout you want. I do my own thing but even when it’s full of trainers and classes going on I am never in anyone’s way and I always get a great workout in. I love this place and it’s well worth the cost.

My workouts here changed my life and there are people here of all ages and skill levels. Beginner to advanced - this is the place to put the work in!

My experience with trainer Jeremy S. was incredibly disappointing. Over the span of a month, he missed 3 of our training sessions, including one because it was too cold outside and another with no explanation. While I didn’t make a big deal out of it, when I could not attend just 2 sessions (and I paid for them in full), he became personally offended, accused me of lacking commitment, and abruptly terminated our working relationship. I’ve worked with many trainers, but I’ve never experienced anything remotely like this. I made it clear from the beginning that I would fully pay for any missed sessions and I did. It’s shocking and unprofessional that this kind of behavior is tolerated from trainers here.

Been a member here for a little over 6 months and I only have good things to say. The gym is clean and well kept, it’s never full so you can always get a machine, and the staff are very nice. I went to LifeTime for many years and Castle Hill Fitness is way better if you need the gym essentials.

I don’t review things often but after being a member here for two years, I wanted to say a huge thank you to my favorite gym. I have previously been a member at a lot of gyms around town having moved around Austin a good bit. By far Castle Hill is my favorite. Why? Simple reason- I feel like I fit in and I’m comfortable here. That’s really the best compliment I can pay them. From Derra who works in the spa to Clark’s personal training and Josh’s cycle strength class (which I think is on hiatus right now), every bit of my experience with this gym has been amazing. I struggle with feeling comfortable in a lot of gyms for a variety of reasons, but I have been able to make significant progress on my personal workout goals here. If you’re wondering whether this is the place for you, trust me - it is. Hope to see you there!

As a newbie to the fitness world, Castle Hill has been so great to help me work on my goals!

I’ve never been very athletic, and pretty intimidated by gyms and working out in general. I mostly take classes, which works great for me because they offer a ton. My favorites are the Castle Barre and WERK with Sabrina.

Many of the classes utilize Class Pass as well, so that’s an option as well.

I don’t feel weird going in, I love all the different class and equipment options, and it’s nice to have a sauna in the locker room.

Pop in for a tour, and they will usually let you come in for a trial workout!

Amazing gym and definitely worth the cost!

It's larger than it appears on the outside. Once you enter, there are lots of different rooms for classes, a room for treadmills, a room for 4 squat racks, the gym near the entrance area, and an outside area for workouts.

Friendly staff and class instructors are great. There are classes all throughout the day, including the evenings. The Castle Hill Fitness Mobile app makes it easy to search for and book classes.

I never thought I would pay $118/month for a gym membership, but I really like this place. Good vibes and friendly people. Plus, I like supporting an independent business rather than some chain gym.

One area that could use improvement is the free weight area. It's a very small area. It can fit at most 3 people.

Luckily, they do allow you to take the weights to the outside area nearby.

Their gift shop next door is leaving, so maybe they could use that space for another free weight area? Just an idea.

Anyways, all in all, a great gym! Sadly, I'm moving away so I had to cancel. But hopefully I can be back some day.

Potentially the best gym in Austin… The life blood of what makes Castle Hill Fitness so special is the hard working and dedicated staff who show up every single day with a great attitude. I’ve been a member for over 7 years, and it’s been my favorite gym in Austin during this time.

I have to say this though, upper management is letting the employees and members down. The trainers are constantly being blindsided by not having the equipment or marketing they depend on to develop a client base. Management also refuses to answer any emails or inquiries from long standing members. In fact, it’s extremely rare to see anyone from management actually enter the building at all! During my time there I can recall seeing them locked in an office a total of 3 times. I even knocked on the door and was waved off. I really hope they can turn it around. I’ll update in 5 weeks.

Well, I guess this is what it takes to get a response. Never got an email, but thanks for responding on google maps.

I've tried 3 different gyms in the Austin area. Planet Fitness up north, 24 Hour Fitness near Hancock, and the YMCA on Town Lake. I have also tried Orange Theory up in Mueller. The three gyms I have tried have been MISERABLE. Wait times for every machine, every bench, and every dumbbell. What could have been a 25 minute workout would take an hour, just because you'd have to sit there and suffer through the sheer amount of people. Orange Theory was fine, but soooo expensive.

Castle Hill has allowed me to step into working out with some confidence. Confidence that I won't be judged, as the community is very peaceful, quiet and respectful. Confidence that I can workout on my schedule (in and out within an hour). Confidence that my money is not going to support some syndicated cesspool that doesn't take care of its patrons. Best of all, confidence that I am getting my money's worth!

Now, it's expensive. There is no denying that. However, the full gym access plus unlimited classes is still almost $20 cheaper than just unlimited classes at a place like Orange Theory, which only offers a limited selection. This has been great for my girlfriend.

All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who values a quiet, efficient, respectful and inclusive workout environment enough to front the costs. To me they have been beyond worth their weight.

FAVORITE GYM I'VE EVER HAD! This gym looks a lot smaller than it is... it's actually very large with an upstairs, backyard, spa, and several studio rooms. However, it still has the charm of a quaint mom and pop gym. I love getting greeting by the staff's friendly smiles, and Sam Boucher always happily/promptly helps me with my questions and requests. Also a big fan of the classes!

Lovely gym, very good, solid equipment and no one was in the weight room. NOT CROWDED! Lots of amenities and classes - and this looks like a small building but once you get in it keeps going and going. Polite staff is welcoming and took the time to show me through the entire gym. The price is comparable to high end gyms in the area and this facility is far better than anything else I’ve seen in the Austin area.

I love this gym. They have wonderful facilities, classes and everyone is so nice!! Really great massages, personal training and soup peddler is attached (yum) the list of things I love about this place could go on and on.
I was a member for years but then moved away from Austin (it was honestly one of the things I missed the most when we moved away.) When moving back to the area I toured a few other high end gyms and none of them could compare to Castle Hill. Its a truly authentic, locally owned gem of a gym.

If you are looking for a gym that makes you feel comfortable and has places for you to stretch on your own or work out in a quiet space this is the place for you! I am still completely in awe of all of the offerings that this gym has! I came to them having been at LA fitness for quite some time and every time I worked out there I always felt like I was being gawked at. Here it’s definitely a completely different environment where you can stretch privately or run with no one staring at you from behind!

They have so many different classes available, machines, they have a great staff! Everyone that’s in there just seems like they’re in an incredible mood! It definitely deserves every star they receive.

If you’re not sure I would totally go ahead and just test it out and take a tour of the facility. Another thing that I really enjoy is that you can go month to month here if you are traveler or you have other obligations that require you to be outside of town!

If I could give 6 starts I would...This gym is a real gem. Much above all other gyms I have been to, and I have been to many. The Lamar st. location is spacious, clean, with wonderful spaces for diverse exercise routines, and nice rooms for classes. Incredible equipment for Pilates and Wall Yoga; lots of props for floor exercise; spa included in the facility. The Westlake location also has a swimming pool (quite narrow) and hot tub - a delight. Both places have just the right amount of traffic - not too crowded but energy abounds. They would give a Visitor Passes package if you wish to try out the facilities. Highly recommended

Just finished a free 30 day pass and this place is great. I like it so much that I'm really leaning towards canceling my Pure Fitness membership and jumping ship to Castle Hill. The classes are fun, and meet my work schedule as they usually have a 6:30 and 7 PM class for the individuals that can't get out of the office at 5. They also have really unique gym equipment like the continuous rock wall and rope climb, both are a ton of fun and provide a great work out.

I went to this gym for a couple years and really enjoyed it. I only cancelled my membership because I moved into an apartment with a gym and could no longer justify the high cost. Here you get all the amenities of a large gym without all the people. The classes were helpful and the instructors were knowledgeable. I'm always worried about parking wherever I go, but they provide you with a parking pass that opens up some nearby lots. Only once or twice did I have to park far away. And even then, it's not terrible to get a little exercise on the way to the gym.
