I started working with Coach Cave, Jake Morgan, in June 2025 for both personal training and nutrition coaching/accountability. His system really works — it’s all about creating sustainable change in small, manageable steps that lead to long-term success.
In just 16 weeks, I lost 22 lbs and completely transformed my body shape. The program was very doable, and whenever I hit a rough patch (cravings, low motivation, travel, etc.), Jake was always there — responsive, supportive, and finding smart ways to keep me focused and on track.
He doesn’t make it easy to quit — and honestly, that’s exactly what you need if you truly want results. I wasn’t a fan of the weekly progress photos at first, but by the end, seeing how much my body had changed was incredibly motivating.
I highly recommend Jake and his methodical, no-nonsense approach to fitness and nutrition. If you’re ready to commit, his program delivers real results!

Man, I thought I was in relatively good workout shape prior to walking into Cave, but boy was I wrong. What I quickly found was that the workouts I was doing on my own kind of had me going through the motions. Looking back, I noticed that I lacked structure in my workouts, nothing that I was doing was timed or controlled and most importantly my form was whack. And those exact reasons had me falling in LOVE with Cave from Day 1. The workouts are extremely well designed, the coaches are very in tune with the tempo of your pace AND they actually coach you on your form and technique. I feel like the workouts are an awesome balance of fun, high intensity and weight lifting. I needed a change to my regimen and this was the perfect transition for my health and fitness goals.

You won’t find someone better when it comes to your personalized fitness. I’ve been working out with him since about 2016 off and on, and it’s nothing but results and education. You will learn so much about your fitness, health and wellness to where you start to feel like you can tell people about everything you do. In 12 weeks so far, workouts alone, not even with his amazing nutritional knowledge, he helped me drop 3.5 points on BF% add 6.6lbs of lean muscle mass and due to my nutrition help from him in the past, I lost 33% of my visceral fat. All of this coming from Online Training as I am living in a different state than he does. This review is coming from a post collegiate soccer player and chiropractor. You won’t be disappointed.

Jake and his team (Meghan and Alex) have built a really great fitness system that's not quite like anywhere else. It's functional fitness, but it's not beast-mode like Crossfit. It's a metabolic conditioning, but it's not repetitive and rushed like F45 or the other metcon gyms. The other members are always supportive and friendly, even when you're not athlete, which I am not. I love this place.

I joined 2 years ago and was really impressed after my free week. I love that I can go at my own pace and never feel judged. The workouts are killer and hit around the whole body with strength and conditioning. It doesn't feel like a cult, and has very supportive and energizing trainers (they will correct form which is nice for newer exercises). I look forward to continuing my workouts here! This is easily one of the best gyms I have been to. I regularly went to morning classes at Cave Fit from January-May 2024 and only stopped because of an out-of-town move. A few highlights: (1) the coaches are all personable and knowledgeable, giving helpful cues and coaching on form and weight selection, and know every person at the gym by name; (2) the planning going into workouts (periodization) produces an always-changing routine that is both interesting/fun and produces excellent strength gains; (3) the community is encouraging and welcoming. I was a weightlifter doing my own programming for 10 years before coming to Cave Fit and it was apparent that I was making progress and breaking through plateaus. I would give 10 stars if I could.

I was NOT an exercise person before starting at Cave. I went to the gym with my spouse because I knew it was good for me, but any excuse whatsoever would be enough to convince me to not go. Cave is different! I came in with fairly minimal knowledge about weight lifting (I had a personal trainer years ago, and I do know how the most basic of the machines work, but I'm sure my form was awful.) and everyone is the most kind and supportive they could possibly be. If you do something perfectly on the first try, you will be congratulated, and then supported to get even better. If it takes you 6 months to really get the hang of that weird squat move, you will be encouraged the whole way! The coaches take a personal interest in *your* development, they aren't just yelling platitudes at everyone the whole time. The classes are small enough that you get the chance to really make some progress every time, and everyone else, regardless of their own level or skill, supports you at whatever your ability is in that moment. You're never pushed to do more than you're comfortable with, but they also don't let you put yourself down as not being capable of progress. Even if that progress is just 'managing this empty bar for one more rep than last week'.
I'm not a big, strong person and I never will be, but going to Cave has significantly improved my overall comfort in my own skin. Do I have visible abs? No, I'm not hitting the protein hard enough for that. But I have made noticeable improvements on my climbing, simply by being able to throw my body weight around a little more easily. It's an absolutely wonderful program, as evidenced by the fact that I'm willing to wake up early enough to show up for a 5am class 3 times a week.

I’ve been with Cave Fit Club since its founding and have no plans on leaving. Prior to Cave, I worked out various gyms around town with personal trainers. My experience was that after a few months, the training quits been effective and I lose interest. I also found that many trainers lacked professionalism and commitment to me in the long term. That is NOT the case a Cave.
First, the gym top notch in terms of strength training and conditioning in Dallas. Each class is group training that is designed for all fitness levels yet is still challenging for even its strongest clients. The classes are challenging, rewarding, and coached incredibly well.
Second, the trainers there hold themselves to a high standard and truly care about your safety, health, and results. They hold you accountable and expect you to push yourself to the limits each session.
Third, you will see results. If you commit and follow the program, after a month you will see positive result and changes in your body. You will gain muscle and lose fat. You will gain confidence. And you will feel better inside and out. After each session, will exhausted. But the next day, you will be back and ready for another challenge!
Finally, you will have fun. More than anything else, Cave is a community. The small group classes allow each person to workout with others similar in strength which prevents the need for comparison and not feeling welcomed. The community is very supportive and encouraging everyone to push themselves. The group classes also creates a healthy dose of competitiveness. (PM Peeps rule just FYI.)

My advice is if you're thinking about it, just do it... Previously a CPY, OTF, other HIIT boutique fitness goer, late 20-something.. knew I needed to switch things up and revive my fitness routine, but was totally intimidated by the thought of group weight training.
In January I reached out to Cave Fit through their website and connected with Jake, the owner, who took the time to evaluate my goals, prev. fitness experience, and work ethic. I started the 7-day trial and was hooked by day 5. Sure the first few classes are intimidating, but its a great mix of coaches and members that are all willing to help new/old members along the way.
Not to mention the level of thought and detail that goes into the planning and execution of each class. After your first few classes, you'll get set up on the app which guides you through each class, and prompts you to log your volume/reps. Great way to monitor your progress week over week. Get after it!

I've been staring at Cave Fit Club since Covid, and finally decided to stop by. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in, but I was immediately welcomed, told how it works, and that they offer a 7-day trial. So I decided to give it a shot. I haven't trained since I left the Army in '91, but I flowed smoothly into their program. I completed my second workout in as many days, and honestly haven't felt so invigorated since then. It's challenging, but caters to my fitness level. The trainers have great vibes, and I feel very positive about this place, and everyone I've met working out so far.

If ever decide you want to be stronger, then Cave Fit Club is your spot. Cave has been one of the best gyms, I've ever signed up to. The program changes every 3 weeks from low tempo workouts to supersets to strongman competitions. One of the things I value the most is doing exercises with the right form. The coaches are always on the lookout for you not to get hurt and do the exercises right. Conditioning sessions can get very competitive because the members push you to add more weight and get stronger. The members are not only members or strangers, I made friends with a lot of them. Thanks to the Cave community hangouts, it makes the atmosphere and vibe at the gym better. Thanks to coaches Jake, Meghan, Alex and Rene for pushing me hard and getting me where I am at fitness wise. My favorite exercise will always be the tire flip.

I’ve been going to Cave for about five years. The program is very well thought out, and I’m not aware of anything comparable in the region. It’s unmatched in my view. Even in a group format it’s better than the personal training that I have done at other gyms. I have been attending Cave for about 2 years now and it has been the best! The trainers are all amazing, encouraging and really help to get you to your fitness goals. No matter where you are on the fitness journey they are there to help guide and teach you. The gym itself is very clean and organized with a variety of weights and equipment. It is the first gym I have been apart of that makes me want to keep going back for more. The classes are intimate enough for the trainers to direct you on how to properly do the exercises, while also being big enough for you to attend with other friendly and encouraging people. I have definitely seen a difference on flexibility, strength, and endurance since first becoming a member of this gym. Having gone through a foot injury and later being pregnant they happily adjusted workouts for me that still challenged me. This gym is for everyone! Definitely recommend if you are in the DFW area!!

As a girl who never set foot in a weight room, the staff at Cave are so knowledgeable. However, the facility has much to be desired and can be improved as far as central AC and changing rooms. It’s also frustrating to cancel a class 12 hours in advance and be charged a cancellation fee. I will say, the staff at Cave and their experience is a bright spot.

I spent years doing my own thing at a global-gym doing 5-day lifts and marginal cardio. I realized I wanted something that pushed me more than I pushed myself. Something that would build my strength but also work on my endurance. I had seen Cave Fit Club many times as it is a landmark on Henderson Ave. It had never crossed my mind to go until a friend asked me to join him. I am glad he did because after that I was hooked! The programming runs in cycles and incorporates compound and isolation movements, full body workouts, plenty of leg exercises and some unique and fun conditioning. Jake and all the trainers are energetic, supportive and knowledgeable. They offer plenty of form correction as well as modifications for exercises as needed. The greatest part overall are the members. There's a real team building atmosphere and a genuine care to see each other succeed. I have made new friends and hang out regularly with many of the members. It's a great community serving the community. Come join me!

In my opinion, one of the best workouts in Dallas. More strength training than cardio-based workout classes, but more cardio and intensity than just lifting on your own. Plus, because many of the strength movements involve slow and controlled movements (at least in one direction) you work many of your stabilization muscles, making it much safer than workouts like CrossFit, which I needed having already had shoulder surgery. Full disclosure: not always climate controlled, so if you’re someone who likes to work out in the cold AC, might wait for cooler months to join.

I've reached new gains and milestones I didn't think were possible because of it. I also love the community aspect. Group fitness is my typical MO, but even my husband, who previously worked his own program at a gym, has joined and loves it. The camaraderie and team atmosphere is top tier. Would recommend if you're looking for a gym that will push you but is also welcoming to all.

My husband and I have been going to Cave for almost a year now and absolutely love it! I never thought I’d enjoy the community of a gym as much as I do. The coaches and people are great and I truly look forward to the workouts! We had driven past Cave for awhile before deciding to check it out and were intrigued by the “not CrossFit” on the side or the building. It’s definitely not CrossFit, it’s a small group training format. There are a max of 12 per class giving the coach the opportunity to spend one on one time with each and every person. I was new to weight lifting when I started at Cave and never felt an ounce of judgment - the coaches and gym goers are extremely helpful when it comes to form, etc. No need to feel intimidated! Highly recommend checking it out!

I showed up in February overweight, out of shape, but willing to start. They met me where I was and have encouraged me every step of the way. Not everything will be perfect. That is the first thing you need to know. Not all your lifts will be a good lift.. You not gone always want to do it. (But you have to get past that). They have the plan, and that's the only thing besides getting there and putting in the work that you need to worry about.
The coaching is top-notch. They push to your abilities, which for most of us is a lot. YOU GOT THIS. I would not lie to you. Some things you will be good at and some things you won't at first. All them strong people. They can do this, and they sure can do that. I just want to be one of them. Put your blinders on and do YOU. Whatever that is. Putting you first will be challenging, but it's worth it.
Cavefitclub offers TRIAN, STRONG, PERSONAL TRAINING, and NUTRITION PLAN.
Expect a group circuit training every now and then - fun. The workouts are A'B' and C, and they rotate them every 3 weeks. The conditioning is at the end. I've been here a while, and other than maybe a few of them, they all are different. He got a million of them. You'll see me trying to think of a way out of it. Everyone has to do it. Lol

I’ve been with Jake and Cave for a really long time with no plans on leaving (unless they force me out😝). The trainers there hold themselves to a high standard and truly care about the safety and well being of their clients. Cave is in a league of its own. While several gyms in the area have “similar” group training concepts, Cave is designed for all fitness levels yet is still challenging for even its strongest clients. The small group training allows each individual to workout with others similar in strength which prevents the need for comparison and not feeling welcomed.
As someone with a busy professional and social calendar, Cave takes out the guess work of what my workout will be as long as I allocate 75 minutes to it and show up. The community at Cave is also one of a kind and a great support system when it comes to meeting my fitness and health goals.

I've joined many gyms and tried many programs over the years (lifting, running, F45, Orange Theory, etc.) and have never enjoyed a program as much as Cave Fitness.

When I walked into Cave however many years ago, I had never lifted weights and knew nothing about it. Cave has truly changed my life. I feel stronger and after doing the nutrition plan last year, my perspective on food has also completely changed.
All skill levels are welcomed and the trainers all do a great job of somehow watching and correcting the form of everyone around the gym (do they have 8 sets of eyes?? How do they do it?)

I have been coming to Cave for nearly 3 years and could not recommend it enough. Firstly, all 3 coaches are great and always willing to help coach the attendees on form, weight selection, tempo, etc.
Secondly, the overall results to me physically have been great. I have had a spondylolisthesis between my L5 and tail bone since I was a teenager and, before finding Cave, had grown accustomed to my spine slipping 2-4 times a year, putting me in miserable pain for days or even weeks. This led to me avoiding any loading on this part of my back/hips, causing it to weaken to the point where injuries would occur during routine activities. Once I discovered Cave, I made the coaches aware of the issue and the training began. Though my entire body improved, I particularly noticed improvements with my posterior strength, hips, low back and other muscles around the injury. I am now 35 and can say for the first time in over a decade, I have not had my spine slip in nearly 3 years. I believe this is a direct result of the strength I gained at Cave.

This gym is the crème de la crème of strength training and conditioning in Dallas. I’m a health nut, so I’ve tried so many different workouts. I’ve done Lync, CycleBar, SoulCycle, Orange Theory, F45, you name it. I’ve been at Cave for 3 years and I’ll always come back. Jake, Meghan and Alex are super knowledgeable and pay close attention to everyone/don’t play favorites. It only takes a month or two back at Cave regularly for me to see positive changes in my body.
What separates Cave from other gyms is the level of community. At other gyms in Dallas like F45 or SoulCycle, people don’t really talk to each other in the gym. At Cave, we all become good friends. Here are the things I love about Cave.
Accountability system - with accountability comes consistence and with consistence come results. I joined Cave after being hurt, I have fallen out my routine, with Cave's accountability system I quickly jumped back on my routine and I feel I am back on track.
Workouts - The workouts change every 3-4 weeks, the workouts are set for me and I never have to worry about what to do. I just come ready to work, and never have to worry about a plan.
Coaches - Jake and Meghan are always there to answer questions, provide information, provide encouragement, correct your form. I would call them the form police.
Modified Strongman - these are may favorite workouts, it reminds me when I used to go out and play. We play with Tires, ropes, sledge hammers, chains, etc..
Finally if you are a triathlete, runner, or any other endurance athlete, this is a great compliment, make Cave the strength portion of your training plan and you will be happy with the results. After I got hurt i felt my mobility decreased my muscles got a bit rusty after a couple of months, I am feeling much better.

The Cave is a GREAT gym and I highly recommend it for everyone regardless of fitness level or experience! I played football for The University of Texas Longhorns (2010 to 2015), so I've spent half a decade and thousands of hours immersed in a world class strength and conditioning program. After football I spent my time jumping from gym to gym around central Dallas (Crossfit, Equinox, Lifetime, ect..) and I can say with confidence that the Cave is the best of them. The Cave has all the equipment you'll ever need and the program/classes they developed are VERY well thought out with the perfect blend of cardio and strength/weight training. Because class sizes are limited you get individualized attention. Parking is super easy and convenient unlike Equinox and Lifetime Fitness. Another positive is their technology, their app makes it SUPER easy to sign up for a class and to record and track your progress throughout the month/year. The biggest pro for the Cave is accountability, if you skip classes or wake up late to many times then you'll be fined $15 per offense. This might sound like a con, but that $15 penalty is what helps to get my lazy butt out of bed in the morning. Don't worry the owner is lenient and doesn't fine you unless you're habitually late or continue to miss the classes you register for.
Cons: The Cave does not have an open weight room policy. Meaning, you can't show up at random to workout, you have to sign up for a class. Don't worry, as long as you don't miss your classes then you will hit your fitness goals.
I'm not a relative or friend of the owner and I was not paid or compensated in anyway for this review. I'm posting this review because the Cave is the first workout program that has successfully recreated the quality and accountability of a college athletics program. PLEASE Don't be intimidated if you're a fitness beginner or weekend worrier, the Cave is a gym and program where my mom and sister will get just as much out of it as high level athlete (which I am not anymore).

I did Jake's 2 week spring training program where he gave me amazing nutrition advice and challenged me to do 4 classes a week. I had kind of fallen off the wagon and hadn't been to the gym in a month or two, so this was exactly the education and routine I needed to motivate me again. I've taken countless group classes and worked with plenty of personal trainers throughout my life, but this is by far the most unique and effective strength training workout I've ever done.

No exaggeration, best gym I have ever belonged to. Trainers Jake and Megan do a great job of keeping everyone motivated and making sure that you have good form. They also do a great job of mixing up the exercise routines from day to day and week to week. Its a great mix of weight training, body exercises, and cardio. I am in the best shape I have ever been. Highly recommend this gym!

I have been in Dallas for 5 years now and have been member at almost every "gym" you could think of. I was on the hunt for a welcoming atmosphere, trainers that actually cared about your fitness journey, a place to build new friendships, call home and made it fun to get up and go workout every day!
I was introduced to the Cave about 4 months ago now, did the 1 week trial and was hooked! I signed up a few days later and am now an "unlimited member"! I have met some amazing people and built great friendships along the way! We all push each other to do the best we can, hold each other accountable and call each other family. Its such a great feeling!
Jake and Meghan have been the absolute best also! They not only keep us on track of our goals, but they actually take the time to get to know us , improve our technique, teach us how to train at all levels, and are our number 1 fans! I seriously have not been more happy to wake up for a 530 am class or cancel happy hour plans because I have the gym at 630 pm haha. They keep things fun and interesting, and plan great outings for us to all do as a team! I love my Cave Fit Fam!

Being at CAVE for more than a year now, I can say it it has never been boring. I have truly enjoyed the alternating programs and the family atmosphere. The two trainers really know what they’re doing and encourage you to push past mental limits that you previously set for yourself. I couldn’t have choose a better gym.

As cheesy as it may sound, I’ve never been one to like working out & now it’s a part of my everyday life. I love going to the gym not only for the great workout but the amazing people. There’s a reason all of these reviews rave about the community! It’s hard starting something new, but everyone makes you feel immediately at home, always cheering you on. Jake & Meghan are also great at making sure you’re safely executing each exercise, and to your best ability. I never imagined I’d be able to lift or squat so much but they push me to my best. Not only have I seen great results, but I feel them too. I’m so thankful for this gym, I can’t imagine my life in Dallas without it!

For me, working out is about overall wellness, so I focus on consistency, mobility, and strength. I came to CAVE wanting to be consistent in my workouts and to feel strong. After being here for over a year, the team (Jake and Meghan) have really pushed me to do just that. Because the classes are constantly changing I never get restless, and with the App to record our sets/weights I'm able to track my progress over several months. I also really appreciate their attention to detail on form, their willingness to offer excercise modifications, and overall encouragement through new workouts (i.e. Cave Obstacle Course & Combine), which has really made me stick with it.
Overall, its a great group of people that like good music and sled work :). I feel like I'm getting a great value for my money, in the same gym you get varied/challenging workouts, proper form training, education/resources for nutrition, and genuinely nice people. Its definitely worth the try for all skill and age levels!

This place is so much more than a gym - it's a community! Before I started going to Cave, I was paying way too much money for personal training, and not getting near as much out of it. After my roommate convinced me to try out Cave, I was immediately hooked. The trainers and the people there are amazing. It really feels like a big family. I have made so many friends at Cave - everyone is so welcoming and the environment makes it so easy to connect with others. On top of that I have never met anyone as passionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful as Jake (the owner). He really gives you all the tools you need in order to succeed and meet your fitness goals. I thought about moving this year and I'm not kidding when I say that one of the things that kept me in Dallas was Cave, because I know how hard it is to find a place like this!

This gym is awesome. In the span of a year i have gained approximately 10 lbs of muscle. The workouts are intense, but Jake and Meghan make them approachable for newbies. 10/10 I definitively recommend coming here if you want to be challenged to work hard and gain muscle.
