This business charged my credit card without authorization for October 2025 tuition even though my daughter has not been enrolled or attended any classes since 2024. We never signed a contract, never approved this charge, and have not visited the premises in over a year. I did not authorize this transaction. I have reported the unauthorized charge to my bank’s fraud department and have initiated a dispute. I will also be filing an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection agencies. Do not provide this company with your financial information — they will bill you for classes your child is not enrolled in and you did not approve.

This is a late coming review but I wish I had known before joining and I don’t see many if any reviews for competitive team. Unfortunately, the gym does not seem very invested in its competitive team. There is no real commitment by coaches to enhance gymnast performance. Meeting with coaches is not super productive. Placement is largely arbitrary and a moving goal post. Constantly losing coaches and severely understaffed for the competitive team. Only real way to get attention and some growth is investing in paid privates outside of practice. Haven’t heard things have changed since we left but highly recommend speaking to parents who don’t enroll kids in weekly privates to get info on their current experience. The facilities themselves are the best in the area. Stayed for convenience much longer than we should have. Much happier gymnast elsewhere.

Wonderful gym run by wonderful people. My daughter adores it and is always asking for more time there! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Birthday parties, camps, classes, you name it here are well run and always enjoyed.

My kids love their time at Champions! We’ve done classes, privates, camps and have attended birthday parties here. And every time my kids come home, they can’t wait to go back! The staff is enthusiastic and knowledgeable and their equipment is state of the art!

Our family has loved champions since the time our boys were little. From open gym and camps, to classes and family night out - they are a wonderful space for our community. Grateful for them and their local owners who care about the city of Austin!

If you want an UNHAPPY child, try this place.

I signed up my child for a summer session, I was very excited for her to try gymnastics for the first time. My child is a shy at the first but open-up quickly if she feels comfortable about the environment type of kid. She was nervous at the first class, so she asked me to stay with her and I did (there were other parents did the same thing, stayed with their children and coach was fine).

However, the second class was different, the coach asked me to leave my child, because it’s not fair to other parents that this class is not a parent-child class. I was fine with that because rule is rule. But my child was not ok so she still asked me to stay. While I was trying to communicate with my child, one of the coach picked her up and forced her to follow another coach (without asking me), my child bursted out crying and screaming because she was shocked by that. Then the coach said “I have no words for you” then left, we just stood there and didn’t know what to do. There were one other child crying and screaming because the coach forced him to leave his mom too. When we got home, my child said she was still scared but would try her best to follow the coach next time (with her voice shaking), that makes me feel so sorry because I asked her to go there.

Days after, I called them to ask for explanations from manager and refund for the 23-24 enrollment (I signed up fall session after the good experience at the first summer class), they replied no with an email. When I tried to follow up with emails and phones asking for further communications, nothing.

AVOID THIS!

They bill you for camps on the website, but actually it's different they don't have the camps they described on the website, and they don't refund the money. AVOID it!

Their website said there is "open gym", where you use the facilities freely. So I paid. But then they said it's not really "open gym", it's just normally lessons. So that's not the open gym we wanted, we can't go. When I ask for cancel and refund, they refused to refund!

I LOVE Champions Westlake! Both of my daughters have been attending classes for over a year. They are professional and the facility is very clean. I always feel confident that my girls are being cared for when I take them to their gymnastic classes & privates. Both of my girls especially love working with Coach Michael! He is dependable, experienced, professional, kind, and a wonderful role model! Within a year both of my girls have gained advanced gymnastic/acro tricks through working with him exclusively. I highly recommend this location!

I just wanted to say that I had one of the worst experiences at this gymnastics facility.

You'd think first impressions is something they'd focus on and have their best people at the front desk, but that's not the case. I walked in and I was ignored by a tall ginger coach named Michael. To start off, he was talking to another coach, and he was extremely rude to them and lacked manners and professionalism - very snappy with a negative attitude.

Then when I approached him to ask about the gym, he snapped and said " can you please wait - thank you!" I immediately walked out due to his rude welcoming and snappy attitude. I don't know why anyone would hire someone like that!

Let me start by saying when you walk in the gym it smells like dirty feet. OK, I can accept that, it is a gym after all. So I moved past the smell and observed for several visits. My opinion is that the coaches are substandard at best. So I talked to some of the other parents who agreed. So you have to wonder, why do so many people keep coming here? The answer I keep getting when I ask this question is because it is the only gym that offers this level and variety of events in the immediate area.

So I continued to observe. I have watched the coaches shun girls, yell at them, and completely strip them of the their self esteem. You may say that this is my opinion. I can provide an example that is more than my opinion.

I watched a child on the beam miss a skill and land on her face. She started to bleed and to cry. Who wouldn’t. It looked like it really hurt. Where are the coaches you ask? In the corner talking amongst themselves. It was the other girls who ran over to her aide. It was not until the girls started a commotion that the coaches came running over. The coaches once again started yelling at the other girls and told them to go back to practice.

The last issue which someone should really do something about is the blocking of fire exits. There is a door that is clearly marked as an exit. This door is often times blocked with gym equipment and the door is locked. How can this be a fire exit if the gymnasts cannot access it?

For the safety, and well being of these children, I hope someone makes a change soon. Fragile self esteems are being shattered daily and this damage will last a lifetime.

This place is awesome! Our kids go here for camp and absolutely love it. The coaches are incredibly engaging and energetic with the kids. I was amazed at how great camp was run and how well they attend to each kid. I would highly recommend to any parent looking for a great activity for their child.
