Overall great boxing gym and experience. The head coaches make you feel included. Coach E had a military career and will make your body strong. Coach Dominic competed professionally and was successful.

The gym is well-equipped with an array of exercise machines, punching bags, and even 3 rings. You can’t beat the membership price at $90/month. The gym attracts a good crowd of mostly guys in their 20s.

What would make this gym better is if the coaches focused on technical drills where we could really work on specific techniques. Because we didn’t really do any partner drills, I felt like my progress was more self-paced, had to rely on YouTube videos, and mostly went to get a good boxing workout. I don’t feel like I have a better understanding of fundamentals or techniques from this gym. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend for the more technical fighter or the beginner in need of fundamentals.

Another complaint is that during sparring, the coaches don’t really coach, observe, or give advice. They just let you do your own thing and figure it out for yourself in the ring. This was a big no-no for me, because to get your head bashed around and get no feedback from the coaches for it isn’t worth it. I guess due to the large crowd this gym attracts, don’t expect to get any personal attention from the coaches on what you can do to improve.

The gym is great for training as it has a great amount of punching bags and great for working out for its variety of machines. This gym is excellent if you are willing to train at your own pace. Coach Elliot is excellet as well. My only problem is the other coach with the long beard, Coach Tim. Hes always correcting every miniscule mistake you make, then he starts yelling how you are doing bad, which, atleast for me, makes me doubt my skills. He's constantly out of patience and starts getting quite aggressive, which in return makes me perform much worse. I've learnt and have gotten much better by myself than all the progress that coach Tim has ever done.

They allow you to be videotaped even during your 1st sparing session. And will circulate the video amongst themselves to make fun of you when all I was trying to do was learn. And will protect one another when questioned about said video!! O STARS! Disrespectful and unprofessional!!

Extremely unprofessional. The management runs the place worse than McDonald’s employees. Asking them questions about how to sign up/cancel is like pulling teeth. They don’t answer phone calls for the 3 numbers you can find, nobody will answer so hopefully you live close. Bathrooms are DISGUSTING, a real whole in the wall that gets by because of the name. Don’t fall for the hype

They don't answer the phone, ever. I tried them out for a month and a week+ of that month the gym was closed due to renovations. Attempted to cancel my membership before I got charged but they charged the card anyway. Was given the run around from 2 different "managers" there and they ultimately charged my card anyway. The bathrooms are horrible, make sure you don't mind helping to clean since no one else will. Very unprofessionally run place

Charlo Boxing & Fitness is not only good for boxing and help with gaining experience in the boxing world, but the new facility is amazing and it caters to people of all walks of life who genuinely want to get in shape and become better. A cool thing about it is that there are events often that cater to both sides as well. Boxing events and training events. The waiting room is above the gym so there's a cool view when we're waiting for our kids. I recommend this gym to any and everyone. It's good for families too who want to get in shape and help their children progress in certain areas!

Great gym, great workout place to get in shape and awesome motivation; and its always nice to be associated with lions and champions. Serious boxing goes on in this gym folks, under the watchful eyes of seasoned technician coaches. The amazing thing to me was the service, I mean they are staffed with professionals in this sport who actually care and go that extra mile for YOU, and that is really special.

I started my 7 year old son there and he loves it. I feel like he has learned more in a week at Gold Team than he did all year at Safety America Karate and all year at Shaolin Kung Fu combined. Very friendly staff and the coaches are great. Very affordable when compared to all the other places in the sugar land and Missouri city area. I agree with the other reviewers about what a friendly and family like environment there is at Gold Team. "They even offer adult sessions while the kids are training. Great place to learn.
