My daughters love everyone here and we have seen a lot of growth here. I appreciate everything they do for our girls! It’s great to have your kids feel like they belong and are apart of something in the community. I trust their judgment on where to put my daughters whether it means moving them up or down.

We were incredibly hopeful about joining The Cheer Connection. My daughter McKenzie has worked so hard all year. private lessons three times a week, constantly learning new skills, and pushing herself with the goal of leveling up in Allstar Cheer. She was so excited for team placements and truly gave her all.

Unfortunately, the outcome was incredibly disappointing. Despite her advanced skills, she was placed on a Level 1 team… doing only back walkovers when she is doing tucks, whips and layouts. When we asked for clarification, we were told she showed hesitation in a group setting and didn’t fully participate at times, despite encouragement. She’s eight. It was her first time in a brand-new gym with new coaches and staff. That kind of adjustment period is completely normal for a child.

What was even more upsetting is that prior to placements, the owner of the facility privately asked us how McKenzie’s personality typically is, since it was her first time in the gym. We were honest—we said she may come across shy at first, but once she’s comfortable, she’s very outspoken and engaged. At no point were we told that being reserved at first could negatively impact her placement.

Then we were told that our own communication and advocacy for our daughter factored into the decision. Apparently, concerns we expressed early on played a role in determining her level. Using parent advocacy as a placement metric—without ever disclosing that it would be—feels incredibly unfair and unprofessional. We were always respectful and open, hoping to set McKenzie up for success, not realizing it would be held against her.

The worst part was seeing McKenzie’s reaction when she got the email. She looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, “I can’t even do a back handspring in that team.” Her excitement turned into heartbreak in an instant.

We’ve decided to respectfully decline the placement. Sadly, most other gyms have already finalized their teams, so it’s likely she won’t have an Allstar season this year. That’s what hurts the most. Seeing how hard she worked, how much she wanted it, and how quickly it was taken from her.

This experience didn’t reflect the values we were hoping for in a gym. Talent, effort, and dedication should be the focus, not how quickly a child opens up or how vocal a parent is. I hope no other family has to go through what we did.

Use to be a 5 star, family friendly, happy and healthy environment until the ownership changed hands last January. The new owners make rash decisions that benefit them and their persona more so than what’s beneficial for the athletes. Personal experience here- they aren’t honest and are very controlling. Think twice and do your research before you spend your money there and head abt 10 more minutes west and check out Funkytown.

My daughter did learn a lot in the past two seasons. I feel she could have learned more if the coaches were consistent and did not have a high turn around, we didn't even have time to learn their names before they left. We have chosen to move on to another gym. I realized that they do not maintain the place as clean as they it should be. I never see the mats being sanitized, the waiting area chairs are full of holes, the restrooms are a complete mess and my daughter got ring worm because apparently they do not bother to visually check the kids to prevent this. One of the coaches was incredibly rude to my daughter, making her cry and run out of class. My daughter was trying to tell her that they put her in the wrong class, that coach didn't last either.

I would love the opportunity to try this place, unfortunately they don't seem to want my business. I have 5 children, 4 of which have expressed an interest in gymnastics. I have looked on the website to gather what information I can, but I still have some questions and things I am not seeing.
I have called (during business hours) and emailed for several months now and have yet to get a response to voicemails or emails!

Horrible. The only conclusion I can draw is that they don't want new customers. 🤷‍♀️ Oh well!

This place isn't terrible, but it's a little below average in my opinion...for several reasons. First and foremost, they don't return phone calls, they don't answer the phone, and they don't respond to emails consistently. When you call a business during the weekday, the expectation is that someone either answers the phone, or returns the call with 24 hours. Emails should be with 48 hours. Maybe that's asking too much, but not responding at all is too common with this place.

I had two of my children attend this place for a few seasons, sometimes the staff was good, other times the coaches they had were mediocre at best. Never giving their full attention to their students. The place always smells like sweaty feet and the waiting/watching area is too small. It's enclosed and very loud at times. It's always packed full of chatting socialites to focus more attention on their conversations with each other or their phones...than with their children practicing. Maybe it's just me and I"m not used to the "cheer-mom lifestyle".

I gave 2 stars for the cleanliness, the lack luster coaching, the waiting room experience, and the unresponsiveness in communication.

We loved Tiffany, my daughters coach. She was great with the kids and had tons of energy. You can tell she really loves her job!
However....
We only paid for one month. But their "policy" is to take your credit card number and hold it. So they drafted us a second month, even though I was VERY clear we only wanted to participate for Feb.
