Prior to working with Chris, I would often injure myself in the gym and not have any clear directions on what weights to lift. Since working with Chris, his clear and precise instruction has ensured that I do not injure myself in the gym and beyond. Chris has personally helped me increase my core strength and beyond in my personal goal of building my core strength and getting rid of excess fat (especially visceral). While I'm still pursuing this goal, I am miles closer than I was when I first started with him. Chris works with you based on your fitness preferences and body capabilities. If there is stretching or heavier weights involved, he is careful to ensure that the increased increments work with my body. When I come away from working out with Chris, I feel sore but good, and am able to recover relatively quickly.

Chris has also helped me understand the full picture of health and fitness, pointing me towards resources that help me understand my body composition, macro numbers, and understanding the upper and lower limits of what my body can take. I have been watching my macros carefully with his guidance, and with his help, I feel like my goal is more achievable.

Is traing about the trainer or the trainee?

For me, it really comes down to the trainee and their commitment. A trainer can guide you, and you’ve got to stay consistent—with workouts, meals, hydration, sleep and just sticking to the plan. I started almost a year ago at 240 pounds, and now I’m sitting right around 202. Working out with my son at ChrisGetUFit has made all the difference.

His 1:1 training is perfectly tailored, his group classes (according to my friends) are challenging in the best of ways, and Chris is just a wonderful human who truly pays attention and cares.

I have always dealt with chronic pain and muscle imbalances my entire life. There were points in my life where I needed Advil to sleep. Working out with Chris has been life changing. My joints are more stable, my muscles are more balanced, and my functional range of motion has probably doubled. I can touch my toes for the first time!

Working out with Chris is the first time I've been able to stay consistent with proactive health care. I've been doing personal training with Chris for about 7 months now. He has been the most incredible support, genuine energy and motivating force for me. He treats every session with care and intention. He has been careful to create workout plans tailored to my body and is excellent at pivoting these plans if I happen to be having a bad day with my pain or mental motivation. He is excellent at delivering exactly what I wanted - functional mobility exercises that are "anti-desk" and help combat the imbalances in my body that have been built in over years of desk work and sedentary living.

I have felt the difference in my body that the last 7 months have brought. These training sessions are now among my top priorities. I will be training with Chris as long as I am able to. Is a small but mighty gym. Coming from a bigger facility and prior experience with trainers, I didn’t know what to expect. From day one (over two years ago) to the last time in the gym, the energy levels have never dropped. I’ve never met a more energetic and patient personal trainer. Chris’s extensive experience and knowledge show in his commitment to starting at your level, wherever that may be. If you're looking for a dry or Finnish sauna, cold plunge, or both (contrast therapy), especially if you live in the area, you have to give this place a try. All of the reviews about how supportive and friendly Chris is are true, and the contrast therapy experience he provides is fantastic. This a unique place. Went for a session of cold plunge & Sauna which was probably the best I've had vs other places. Sauna at 190+ degrees and Cold plunge at 45 degrees. While there, I watched people having fun training with Chris. This is one place in which the energy is just perfect!! Highly recomended!!!!

I’ve now been working with Chris for less than a year, and I can honestly say that I’m in considerably better shape than when I started. I’m quite possibly in the best shape of my adult life. The man knows what he is doing and what’s better is he has fun doing it and will convince you it’s fun too!

No pretension, no aggro-attitudes, just pure simple workouts that will slowly craft and sculpt your body over time. Don’t even sleep on the contrast therapy training either. Really cool facility! Used the sauna and the cold plunge. The Cold Plunge is the XL size (most places have the regular size) and since I am tall it was the perfect fit. My knees weren't out of the water and was able to get the total benefit. Very easy to set up and Chris was super helpful. Highly recommend!!!

I've been actively training with Chris for about 5 months now. I attend the Express (Wednesday) and Standard (Saturday) Boxing Classes. Man this guy is personable, professional and persistent to get you fit! I came into the gym weighing about 205 pounds and today I'm 180! My range of motion, cardio, and strengthen is remarkably noticeable among other people at the gym, family and friends as well! If you're in North Austin looking for an affordable, knowledgeable and one of kind personal trainer/group instructor there is no where else to look besides here.
