Stumbled into this Club Pilates completely clueless and out of shape a few years ago, and ended up having a transformative experience after 200+ classes. There is some turnover among instructors, and naturally, some resonated with me more than others. Eventually, I felt a lot better for just showing up without complaining about ebb/flow of instructor quality - the consistency of Pilates itself makes the difference IMO.
Alex is the Studio manager and she works so hard to keep the ship running. She always made me feel welcome and it was clear how much she cares about the studio and its members. Super person!
The studio was only 5 minutes from my house, and I couldn’t have been happier with the convenience and the experience overall. I only stopped going because I had to relocate overseas. I miss the studio, and how healthy and strong I felt while training there.

They have that heavy weight rack.. which has super long legs that protrude into an ALREADY CONGESTED space. People are walking around in socks … but you need steel toe boots if you don’t want to stub your pinky toe.
All that coz I offered to move Laura’s papers and coffee mug that she placed on the bosu ball on the chair and it was time to use the chair … what kind of unprofessional and lazy trainer does that !

I am 54 and was totally out of shape - had no idea what pilates was or if I could do it - my experience has been transformative! 38 classes in and I feel tighter, stonger, better, taller. No more daily backaches, neck and wrist aches from sitting at a computer all day. My favorite teacher - Mehnaz - she is so passionate and excited about teaching. Seeing us get better, making sure we have the right form. Her enthusiasm is contagious! I chose the unlimited membership because it gives me the flexibility to pop between 3 locations and reserve a bunch of classes at a time - super helpful and allows me to fit into a heavy work schedule. No more excuses for me!

This was my first time at Club Pilates, and I jumped right into the Intermediate 1.5 class with Steven and what an amazing experience! Steven is not only incredibly knowledgeable (especially about the benefits of stretching), but he also makes the workout fun with his great sense of humor. He was so supportive throughout the entire class, offering helpful cues and encouragement that made me feel confident even as a first-timer. It was a challenging, energizing workout, and I left feeling stronger, more flexible, and excited to come back. Highly recommend taking a class with Steven!

I had been wanting to try Pilates for a long time, but honestly, the idea of joining a group class always felt intimidating. Three years ago that all changed after I took the intro class at Club Pilates Rice Military. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely welcomed and at ease. There's absolutely no judgment—just a supportive, encouraging environment where you're motivated to do your best and improve at your own pace. Alex, the Manager, creates a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, and every instructor I've met has been fantastic. I'm happy to have found this studio!

Horrible..signed up for an intro class but it was like a 30 minute drive from me..got ther 6 or 7 mins before class was scheduled to
start and the girl at the front desk informs me I have to buy socks and the can only
accept a physical card or the number..my card was in the car but she's said we are strict I cant process your payment because class is about to start...not going back there...
Update as a response to owner: had your front desk girl said so, I would not have left..believe me

I was nervous the first time trying Pilates because my strength level was minimal but , the manager Alex assured me that it wouldn’t be bad . To my surprise it wasn’t bad it was great! Mary gave the first intro class and I think she did a great job in showing us a little bit of everything of what was to come . Since then I’ve tried to take her classes as often as my schedule allows it. I appreciate that she will take time to show you when to may not be doing something right or your form maybe a little off . She notices when you are not there or if you are improving and also let you know you are . Which is my opinion boosts your confidence and makes you wanna push a little more and challenge yourself! I’m so glad i found Pilates it has helped me physically and mentally. I plan to keep this in my life for the years to come !

DO NOT GO TO THIS STUDIO!!! Worst experience I have ever had at a studio -- and multiple times at that. There are much better places to join, in fact the Club Pilates in the Heights is much better, so is Boost Pilates. This locations instructors and practices are rude, dismissive, and really not helpful at all.

I wanted to share my experience with the intro class with Mary because I left feeling quite uncomfortable and disappointed. From the beginning, the pace of the class felt rushed, leaving little time to focus on proper form or really understand the movements. While form is important in Pilates, the way the instructor, Mary, called out specific individuals—particularly other women who were struggling—felt unfair and, at times, embarrassing for them. It created a tense and judgmental environment that didn’t feel supportive or inclusive.
What concerned me the most, were some of Mary’s comments that I found racially insensitive. Early on, she made remarks that focused on accents, and even tried to guess my ethnicity and the girl next to me in a way that felt invasive and inappropriate. These comments crossed a line and contributed to the overall discomfort I felt in the class.
I believe fitness spaces should be empowering, welcoming, and respectful of everyone’s background and ability level. Unfortunately, this class didn’t meet that standard for me.

I hate to leave a semi-negative review, but I have to be honest. This was my first time taking Pilates, and I attended the Center and Balance 1 class with Eve. I specifically chose this class after speaking to the owner, Alex, who assured me that either Reformer Flow 1, Restore 1, or Center and Balance 1 would be a good starting point for a beginner. Since Center and Balance fit my schedule, I decided to try it.
The class started fine but unfortunately became a very negative experience. When we reached the resistance band exercises, I didn’t fully understand the instructions. Eve asked if it was my first class, and when I said yes, she replied, “They didn’t have you take the intro?” I said no, and she responded, “Wow, that’s interesting,” in a judgmental tone. She brought this up several more times during the class, making me feel self-conscious and out of place.
Instead of helping me learn in a constructive way, Eve continued to point out that I should have taken the intro class, which wasn’t helpful in the moment. For example, when she tried to assist me with an exercise, she used jargon like “Pilates V,” which I didn’t understand as a beginner. I asked to lower the resistance because I was tired from a prior workout but still wanted to try, and she dismissed my request, laughed, and said it was a “lost cause for today.” Eventually, she handed me a ring as a modification, but it took an unnecessarily embarrassing back-and-forth to get there. At other times, instead of offering clear modifications when explaining the exercise, she would vaguely say, “We’ll figure something out if you need it,” which wasn’t supportive or encouraging.
Her tone throughout the class was judgmental and unwelcoming. At one point, when my carriage closed quickly during an exercise, she screamed dramatically, drawing unnecessary attention to me. This overreaction made me feel even more uncomfortable.
Because Eve spent so much time pointing out my inexperience in front of everyone, other students felt emboldened to chime in. Toward the end of class, one student even called me by name and said I should probably take the intro class as well. This added to the humiliation and made it impossible to focus on the class itself—which I otherwise enjoyed—but instead left me feeling embarrassed and out of place.
What made this experience particularly frustrating is that I had consulted with Alex, the owner, before booking this class. Alex specifically recommended this class for a beginner, yet they never followed up to ask how it went when I walked out, even though they knew it was my first time. This lack of engagement and oversight made the experience feel even worse. When I called to cancel my membership, I also wasn’t asked why, so clearly they don’t care.
Another aspect that stood out was how Eve failed to use beginner-friendly practices I’ve seen in other fitness classes. Most instructors introduce themselves at the beginning of class, ask for names, and identify who’s new so they can offer extra guidance. None of that happened here. Eve didn’t ask for my name until the very end of class, and even then, it was just to reiterate that I needed to take the intro class before coming back. There was no encouragement like “do the best you can” or “show up where you are today,” which are the kinds of supportive comments I’ve heard in other studios.
After this experience, I decided to cancel all future classes at this location and book at other studios where the instructors are more supportive.
It’s disappointing because the studio itself is clean, and Alex seemed kind during our initial conversation. However, experiences like this discourage people from trying Pilates. I genuinely enjoyed the class content and had planned to make it part of my routine, but the way I was made to feel overshadowed everything else. I hope this feedback helps the studio improve how they handle beginners and create a more inclusive, supportive environment.

I’m not sure why I continue to give Club Pilates a chance but visiting this location was the final straw. I visited this location while in town for a close family funeral to blow off some steam and get my mind off things.
When I arrived, the instructor was not welcoming at all and gave an impression of “what is this black girl doing here?”
Shortly after class started, mind you there were only THREE people in class, the instructor walks up to my reformer and grabs my phone and tells me no phones allowed.
I explained to her that I needed my phone by me (on silent) in case my family needed me. I even go into detail of why they may call me. She continues to walk away with my phone (aka my personal property) and says she can put it at the front desk on ringer. I immediately left class after this embarrassing interaction. When did we stop caring for humans??
How could I continue to stay in class where the instructor had no professionalism (grabbing my phone) or empathy?
I spoke to the manager later in the day where the lack of empathy continued. This seems to be a consistent theme around all Club Pilates studios (I have visited 4 studios across 2 states).
If you’re looking for a pilates studio where the instructors are welcoming to ALL, professional and empathetic, stay away.

I really didn’t want to leave a negative review, but after some reflection, I feel other first-timers and newcomers should know about my experience.
I initially took a free intro class here and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Pilates always seemed intimidating, but I found that, while it's a tough workout, it's not as scary as I thought. The sense of camaraderie in class and the challenge of improving my strength was fun!
After the intro class, I continued to attend Level 1 classes to get more comfortable with the routine and the machine. My third class was with Laura, and unfortunately, it was a turning point for me.
I’m aware that I'm not the fittest person in the room—strength training is new for me, and I’ve never shied away from acknowledging that. I run half marathons but wanted to try Pilates for overall strength, so I stick to Level 1 classes for now.
During that class with Laura, she stood at my machine the entire time, correcting me in front of everyone for nearly every move. While I appreciate correction, especially for hands-on learning, it felt overwhelming and discouraging to be corrected constantly in such a public way. At the end of class, she told me I needed to focus on getting fitter and that I’d “get there” eventually. I tried to brush it off, but it definitely made me hesitant to return.
A few weeks later, I joined a friend at another location—much further away—and had a completely different experience. The class was still challenging, but I felt supported and was able to keep up much better. I've even seen physical improvements, like toning in my arms and legs, which is exciting!
After a 1.5-month break, I returned to the original location, only to find myself in another class with Laura. I’d forgotten why I typically avoid her classes, but this time, I was determined to show up as my strongest self. I felt confident, especially with my progress. Despite my efforts, Laura again singled me out multiple times for corrections, even when I felt I was keeping pace with the class.
During a particularly tough sequence, I couldn’t do many reps but pushed myself to do as much as I could. Laura came over, told me I was doing fine, and reassured me not to worry about keeping up with the others. I felt relieved. But when she turned to the other new student, she spent much more time correcting her, and then, in front of the entire class, said, “Sorry, everyone, we have some newbies here, and it’s taking a while.”
At the end of class, Laura complimented the other new student, telling her she just needed to “listen and she’ll get the hang of it.” When she got to me, she said, “You’ll get there, you need to get fitter.” In that moment, I felt mortified. I had thought I was keeping up, doing my best, and challenging myself just like everyone else. A few of the other students even stopped me in the parking lot to tell me I did great and weren’t sure why Laura said that. That’s when I realized it wasn’t just in my head.
While I’m trying not to let her comments discourage me, I’ve decided I’ll be attending classes elsewhere in the future. It’s important to me to feel encouraged and supported in my fitness journey, not singled out in a way that leaves me feeling worse about my efforts.

I put my number on their website and they repeatedly called everyday even after I asked them to stop. Anyways I had a free day and finally said ok and went to the intro class. The class sucked. I understand it’s only an intro class but if you’re gonna call me repeatedly like that at least make it worth my time. The front lady was very stand off ish and rude, seemed like she hated her job. The only way I would ever pay 300/ a month plus a sign on fee is if my experience was absolutely outstanding and that was definitely far from it.

I’ll start by saying overall, I did enjoy the introductory class and it was a good re-introduction to Pilates. By the time things got going, all was well so I will be joining a studio, but not this one.
I’m not sure if the staff was just ready to go home for the day or something but they were less than welcoming for a Saturday intro class at 12:15p with Laura H. While there were several things that made me uncomfortable in a matter of maybe 5 minutes, there was one thing that really stood out. Like many others, my 2 friends and I wear Apple Watches and as the instructor began her intro spill on why she likes Pilates and teaching, we all went to start the workout on our watches. The instructor then took it upon herself to go on a tangent about why “phones aren’t allowed in the back” in a class of 7 people. This was completely unprofessional and unnecessary given the fact that 1) you shouldn’t have assumed we were texting or anything else because I’m sure we’re not the first people to use a watch in your class and 2) you weren’t providing any instructions related to the workout and had literally just decided to switch from “waiting for 1 more person” to beginning your intro. I was extremely turned off at that point but the actual instruction part began maybe 1-2mins after so I didn’t leave.
It’s a no for this location for me. Even though I did enjoy the workout it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Been gatekeeping this place since I love it and don’t want others to find it. Love this studio! I’ve tried Pilates at other places and yoga, which I know is different, and this is is the one that I’ve stuck with. It’s not a super intimidating workout with bodies of all shapes and ages taking the classes. It’s super clean, and the staff takes measures to keep it that way. The manager Alex is awesome. She runs a tight ship, but she does it because she cares for both the clients and teachers and wants the best for everyone!

I signed up for Pilates which was wonder, but then I got sick and couldn’t show up to class. This company billed me for two months plus late fees. Once I felt better I reached out to them, and they didn’t care just said I owe money and they won’t cancel my account until I pay for classes I was unable to attend even with a doctors note. They told me they will continue to bill me and they said they don’t care. If I would have known they were not caring being woman owned I would have never signed up to begin with! The general manager is very mean and just didn’t care at all only cares about my bill being paid and didn’t try to work anything out! She just wanted me to pay for classes I was unable to attend due to having covid! Very unprofessional and not human at all!

Great location. The women at the front desk are very friendly. The atmosphere is inviting to all fitness levels. Compared to some other club pilates locations, this location is very honest (no shady sales practices here), they're also very laid back about things compared to other locations. They respect the unlimited pass (good nationwide) and the owner keeps the machines in top condition (oiled springs etc). This is by far the best location in Texas that I've been to!

I’ve been impressed with the professionalism here. It’s all about pilates and getting fit. Classy but not snotty. I was troubled by one of the instructors talking about attending a New Year’s party during COVID. Seems like a major mistake when you’re working with the public. I keep my mask on at all times.

I enjoyed the free trial and I became a member ($89 per month) . I only took one class before I found out I was pregnant and several issues came up and I couldn't exercise any more. I asked to freeze my account ($15 per month) for a month and then ended up cancelling my membership. I was charged another $89 for their 30 day cancellation policy. They did wave the cancellation fee of $100 but the manager didn't think the second charge was unfair. While I understand the terms of the contact, I do believe that they could be more considerate of my situation, this is a health and fitness club after all and the customers' wellbeing should be a higher priority for them. I just know that I paid $200 for the one class I took! and now that I'm ready to workout again I prefer to find a place that care more about their customers.
