Eric Davis, Head Personal Trainer and owner of Conquer the Bar in South Austin, Texas, is a highly qualified fitness professional with a proven track record of transformations and weight loss. Eric has a B.S. in Kinesiology, is NCSF & NCCPT Certified, Kettlebell Concepts Certified, TRX Training Certified, Dynamax Coach Certified, and was a NPC Physique Competitor adn college athlete.
We utilize circuit training, (HIIT) resistance training and functional training, along with nutritional guidance or nutritional plans if desired. This is to help our clients achieve their goals of strength, agility, flexibility, mobility, muscle-gain and/or fat loss.
We believe that it is important to make yourself a priority even when it might seem impossible.

Eric is my favorite trainer so far, of the five or so that I've known and trained with. He is super laid back, easy to talk to, but does not suffer fools, and will call you on your lame excuses. I have been working out regularly since 2011, and he will still introduce me to things I've never seen or thought to do. This stems from a strong base knowledge of the way the body is put together, and you can tell when you talk to him.
Plus, as a larger guy, it's nice to have someone who can spot you if you want to go heavy. Also nice to have a trainer who is obviously in much better shape than you, but doesn't act like a Gym Bro. Not intimidating at all.
Five stars, because I can't give any more stars. He's a good dude.
Oh! And he also does diet coaching, and online training, in case you're one of those people who like to be told what to do, but don't actually want to have to talk to anyone.

Eric is a wonderful trainer! He holds you accountable to make strides in your own fitness journey, while never comparing you to anyone else. He has a knack for pushing you beyond what you thought your limits were while maintaining a very positive attitude throughout the session. He is knowledgeable and great at explaining how and why he has you do certain things. There is never a boring or dull moment with him either! I highly recommend him to anyone at any fitness level!

After an entire life in the “morbidly obese” category, I decided to make a change and walked into a personal training gym, and was immediately intimidated. Eric, not knowing who I was, walked up and introduced himself and gave me his number. A year later and over a hundred pounds lost, seeing him three times a week is the highlight of my day. I couldn’t recommend him enough, he entertains me, listens to me complain, is the occasional shoulder to cry on, and has me laughing so hard water flies out my nose. Perfect for anyone who has an interest in changing their life. 20/10 would recommend.

I have been training with Eric for a couple of years now. We started with me 30 lbs over weight. A weak and torn up shoulder and half a pectoral muscle on same side and I was 59 at that time. Since then we have made a lot of progress. We actually started with 7 lb weights doing lifting above my head and now doing 45. With my shoulder I didn’t ever expect the progress we’ve made. I’m grateful for his knowledge and professionalism and positive influence. This is the person you want if you need a little push to become a better stronger you.

My family and I have trained with Eric for several years. We have all been satisfied not only with our results, but with the friendly atmosphere he creates. He always has some friendly banter about life in general, which pleasantly distracts from the task at hand.
Professionally, he has an exhaustive knowledge of anatomy and exercise mechanics. He will not push you into an injury, and always has an alternate method to exercise a particular muscle group. I recommend him without hesitation.
