I've been working out with April for about a year, and she has positively changed my understanding of not only my physical health but mental health as well. I love how she really puts care in her work out programming and how she caters to every individual's different needs and circumstances.

Amazing that there is meditation πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ done through FaceTime for me. The online ability helps big time. Pretty sure Skype and other online ways to go through personal training, yoga and meditation. April is SO HELPFUL πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

April changed my life! I came to her searching for a healthier lifestyle, and seven months later, I am not only in the best physical condition of my life, but I have also created healthier habits in my nutrition and daily attitude. April encourages total wellness and mindfulness. She gets to know her clients on a personal level in order to tailor her fitness programs to meet the specific needs of each individual client. I am a member of her semi-private sessions (3 people max) and I still feel that my workouts are highly individualized. She also attends conferences and lectures regularly and is always incorporating new ideas and takeaways into her workouts. In addition, she offers yoga in her in-home studio. With "the core" at the center of her personal philosophy, she is the total package! I would recommend her to a person of any age, health, or physical ability. She has something for everyone!

I started working with April in May 2019 after I moved back to Houston for work and I have to say it has been one of my best decisions. April is a great trainer and has a wealth of knowledge on physical fitness but above all she is a great person that really cares about you. Your workouts can make range from heavy weights to light weights to a great stretch session it really depends on you. So you have total control of your workout program.

I would recommend Core Theory Fitness to anyone.

They have a private gym / private studio located conveniently near downtown, Houston Heights, EaDo and Washington Corridor. She takes an individualized, personalized and customized approach to your specific goals. April cares a great deal about her clients, goes the extra mile, and delivers excellent results. The intimacy of her gym and yoga studio make the experience approachable and empowering. She also has a great series of apps to track your goals, progress and milestones.

I started my fitness journey with Core Theory Fitness back in January 2018. Since then, my physical and mental health has never been better! My initial goal was to lose weight and increase my endurance, but since then, April and I have worked together to adjust accordingly to my many life-changing events (i.e., travels, graduation, school, health condition). Some of the things we worked on are:

April is not just a personal trainer but a life coach. She is creative with your personalized workout, flexible with your schedule, an incredible listener and set you up for success! My progress has been beyond my expectations. I developed a more positive and routinized lifestyle; which benefitted me during college and currently at my new job. I’ve completed the first 4 weeks of April’s 12 week program, and I’m SO SO pleased with these results. The workouts have the most perfect combination of cardio, interval training, and resistance training, yielding fabulous results! Not only having I seen great growth and muscle definition, I’ve also noticed the parts of the workouts that were crazy tough for me at the start are now totally manageable!! I love having this personalized and specialized workout and nutrition plan!!!

I have just finished month 1 of the 3 month fitness/wellness package. I have lost weight and inches off my hips and waist. I have friends coming up to me all the time commenting on how slim and toned I have become.

In addition to the customized workout routines that are different every day, I also have personalized nutrition plan. I have found ways to eat better foods that are better for me. I could not be happier with the results I am seeing so far. I can't wait to see what the next 2 months have to come.

The app that Core Theory has developed is so user friendly and easy to use. I love that I can pull up my workout and nutrition on just one app. I am very type A and like that I am able to check boxes after I finish aspects of my workout.

I am feeling better than ever. I could not be happier with the physical and mental wellbeing progress from eating correctly and following routine exercise schedules. I can't thank April and her continuous hard work enough!

April is a fantastic trainer. With her 5-year background as an amateur boxer and 10 years of fitness expertise, she serves clients in her training facility, Core Theory Fitness. She also has a Personal Trainer, Functional Aging Certificate and Health Coach Certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

She is passionate about wellness, nutrition, fitness and health. As part of her advocacy to help people age with grace and full mobility, she has successfully applied for certification as a Functional Aging Specialist. April works closely with a network of dieticians, PT's, and doctors to create fitness programs that cater to the Gen-X and baby boomers in a progressive way.
