Loved my hot yoga experience here. Teachers were awesome. Felt so good for rest of day. Only negative is heavy proselytizing. Not sure if this the general yoga experience or not. Maybe some like it. I didn’t hate it but was a bit surprised.

Traveled to Austin for a quick trip. Being an experienced CP yogi I saw a waitlisted class and jumped on that waitlist immediately. Caitlin M rocked a packed sculpt class— much needed while away from my home studio. Studio is in a sweet location and super cute.

A beautiful studio! We went for the free week! What a deal, AND the instructors were all amazing. Coley was at the front desk and very accommodating and welcoming. Lorena was a great instructor. My girls and I did her yoga sculpt class… she was clear with her direction, intentional with even the volume of the music… with a flow that made you feel graceful and strong!
I highly recommend this studio. We did have a good laugh, if it’s your first time make sure to clap your thighs when doing jumping jacks! lol…it will make sense once you go to class, you’ll catch on.
Hope to visit again! Thanks again for a great experience! ATX 🧡

I took the C2 class with Halle and have literally been thinking about it all week and really excited to go back. It was my first class at this studio and she was welcoming and kind and the flow was equal parts challenging yet centering. The studio itself was clean and parking really isn’t an issue if you don’t mind a 2-5 minute walk.

Great teachers most of the time. I've been going to Corepower for 7 years and its kinda gone downhill, unfortunately. I stopped paying for membership since the undisclosed mold incident at two of their atx studio locations. Getting a refund (bc I couldn't book any classes during closures) was a pain in the butt. I just took a class today via classpass and this studio location wreaked of the smell of sulferic acid/rotten eggs, but no one said anything about it. Its a really wonderful workout but the space feels very icky.

My first time to the Monarch location since Covid and Jess taught the most phenomenal class I've experienced in 12+ years of yoga. Fabulous music, hard workout but not too hard, and gentle guidance on how to make my practice stronger. @CorePower Monarch leadership, you have an ace in this outstanding teacher and athlete. I'll recommend you often because of her!

All classes are cancelled, there has been no communication prior to or when/if the studio will reopen. What is happening and why haven’t members received any updates? This isn’t very good business practice at all.

I left my necklace and the staff graciously held it for me to pick it up. When I came to pick it up, the employee couldn't access the locked drawer where my necklace was supposed to be stored. They also were unwillingly to ask for assistance, while class was in session. As an out of town attendee, with a flight to catch, I asked them to make an exception. As being delayed 30 minutes would cause me to miss my flight.

I took Cecelia’s class for the first time this morning at 7:30 and absolutely loved it! It was the perfect flow for a Saturday wake up class. some standing poses, some twists, and a great core section in the middle. I can’t wait to take her classes from here on out, I’ll be joining the studio now because of her!

Overall great experience with the classes and teachers.
**What I really didn’t like: the fees they charge to pause to cancel membership really turned me off and might not rejoin because of. I believe everyone’s workout experience is different. If I need to take a break, or if it’s just not working for me, I don’t think I need to be killed in fees to pause or cancel. It felt very corporate planet fitness gym vibes instead of considerate yoga studio energy. I am moving locally and needed to take a 6 month break and was fully expecting to re join. Other places like Barry’s and solid core do not do this.

The woman working the front desk was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. When I explained I didn’t have a membership she rolled her eyes and condescendingly explained that “maybe you should stand to the side and get one” even though there was no one else in the lobby and I had specifically asked her to assist me in getting one. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable and will never, ever go back.

Brooke W who teaches 8am on Thursday is by far the most technical yoga instructor I’ve found in Austin. Her classes are challenging not because she is rushing through a flow, but because she puts you in technically challenging poses and assures we are doing them correctly. Her music is also really fitting to a calming mind/body class. It’s not a HIIT style class like most of the others. She takes the time to point out even slight adjustments that make a difference and reminds us regularly to go back to our breadth. I really hope she starts teaching more often! She’s the only one who teaches how I’m used to having recently moved from Brooklyn.

Hands down the best yoga studio in the world. My wife and I love these classes, especially the 45 min yoga sculpt class.
I find these classes to be a great workout for my body and mind. The thoughtful mindfulness that each of the very talented instructors inject into each class is really beautiful.
This location has recently been renovated and parking can be a bit hard to find in the garage. I would recommend the street parking on 4th street, or close to Merit coffee. If all else fails, there’s always the Whole Foods up the street.

This yoga studio is very bad for classes. I agree with the other one-star reviews. The "yoga instructors" at this locale bark orders with little to no regard for pose correction. Every yoga pose has been performed for less than 10 seconds. As a result, This studio offers the strange hip fab yoga that other corporate studios offer. I rate the experience of the yoga studio as comparable to a YogaSix or Serasana. The studio feels a bit strange because they employed an all female staff. I watched during registration as a man tried to bargain for more classes added to his Yoga pack.
I give two stars to the studio because the restrooms are clean and the studio is clean. However, the classes are low-performing to bad. If you are a true Yoga performer, you will perform better watching yoga videos compared to a membership at CorePower Yoga. Many female members felt the instructors are Gods at this location.

Great classes with an awesome class offering to fit whatever your schedule is for the day. Reasons I am not giving this business 5 stars:
-There is only one monthly membership and with tax it is nearly $200/month. This is considered luxury in regard to fitness studios but the space itself doesn’t fit this price point (limited parking, unsanitary carpet throughout the studio, etc).
-I do not recommend CorePower to any of my peers who are beginner. The instructors/staff here do not do any type of intake for new students and assume you know all things yoga when you join. It can be very intimidating. With that, staff is all young women who will gossip with coworkers at the front desk about other students while they check you in.
-Lastly, this is a very corporate establishment. When you call the “studio” you actually get routed to their call center in Denver which is full of outsourced robots. If you ever have a scheduling issue or have a question for the studio they will not talk to you. This is very different than any fitness studio I have been apart of.

This review is mostly for their tacky sales tactic vs the studio itself. I had been an unlimited member there for some time but ultimately cancelled and hadnt been back in a few years. About a year ago I had gotten an email saying a class had been loaded into my account to come back - I did book but ended up not coming in.
A few days ago me and a couple of friends decided to book a class. I went into the online portal and selected the class and hit "book" and it said your class is now confirmed. I was super confused because it didnt prompt me to purchase a drop in class. I went and looked at my purchase history and my account history to try and see if maybe I had a leftover credit but didn't find much info so I assumed that was the case. The morning I came to the studio I checked in with one person and she said "Now my colleague will go over your options today on how to pay" and thats when I was given the $89 unlimited month sales pitch or I could pay $32 for a drop in. Thankfully I still had a card on file since I didnt bring my purse since I live a block away and walked there. When my other two friends walked in (before checking in) they mentioned to me that they also must have had a credit left on their account since they didnt have to pay when they booked - which is when I told them it was a sales tactic to try and get you to sign up for the $89 membership.
I am sure that having people decide on how the would like to pay in studio is a great sales tactic and good way to pitch that promo first month but that absolutely needs to be disclosed at time of booking online. Even a quick disclaimer "Thanks you're all booked! Payment will be collected in studio at time of class" would have saved me a lot of confusion. Their current tactic feels super slimy and tacky though

Location is the best, right next to my building. Very satisfied with the classes and instructors. They have a good flow in C2 and a mix of weights and yoga flow in sculpt. However they could include some breathwork in their classes and could also probably give you better mats which are not slippery coz of the sweat!

Dropped by here while traveling. They've got these upgraded mats that I don't really need a yoga towel for, which is great, considering I had to leave mine at home so I could travel light!
My instructor (Monique) was fantastic, which a lovely personality, along with funny commentary and efficient yoga instructions. And live-singing some soprano, harmonizing with the music during the final bit.
Room could have been a tad bit more warm but I still sweated like crazy.
Bathrooms: Lockers and showers were good. A bit cramped. Need to bring a lock or borrow one from front desk.

Class schedule is shown in rows on their website, with each class having a button next to it to book that class. There is no window to confirm/cancel when you click that button. If you book a class by accident, better hope it isn't starting soon (within 2 hours) or else you'll be charged $15 to cancel it even if you cancel right away.

Having over 300 logged yoga hours and visiting / trying a handful of studios over the years this is at the top of my list as one of the worst.
I arrived to check the studio out and the girl at the desk told me to sign up online as they were offering a 2 week free promo. Getting into the class, i was immediately disappointed to see it was obviously overbooked (on a Monday around 11:45. I can only imagine what a 5:30 would look like) there were so many people in there I had to ask not one, but a few people to move over so I could squeeze in. It was so crowded that I couldn’t see my form in the mirrors or even relax, I was too busy wondering if I was going to hit or kick the people next/behind me.
There wasn’t enough room for the teacher to put a mat down. She walked around the whole time giving little to no pose correction (not good to get the most out of their experience).
The place is clean and does offer a bunch of showers.
I spoke with the front desk after class and was very honest that this studio wasn’t for me and I wasn’t going to go forward. I didn’t even bother to use the 2 free weeks it was that bad. A few weeks later I was charged a monthly membership ($160+)I reached out immediately and explained that the girl at the front desk was aware I did not want to go forward with the membership. They looked me up in the system saw I only took 1 class and still refused to offer any form of refund.
I paid $160+ to go to 1 terrible class.
This is not a yoga studio. This is a corporate franchise. Find yourself a real yoga studio who cares about their clients. I will edit my post with one in the area once I find one. I also will edit this review if anyone at CorePower reaches out to me with the proper solution.
EDIT: no one from corepower ever reached out to me to discuss solutions after repeated attempts.
I got reimbursed from my credit card company so end result is this studio still is the worst.

I grew up in Austin and have seen the changes in this city over the last 20 years. CorePower Yoga is everything I hate about what Austin has become. This location is nestled next to an expensive condo building. A monthly membership is $169. Parking is impossible. Classes are packed with people who can afford this rate. If you are looking for a down to earth, community oriented, authentic space I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

I look forward to more instructors so they can include more classes.

I signed up for the two free weeks and was not told that it would automatically enroll me in a membership after that. I just noticed on my credit card statement that I've been getting charged $169/month for the past few months and called this studio to ask for a refund since I haven't been back in since my first two weeks was up. They said they will only offer me half of my money back. The man I spoke to who was "the highest up" was not helpful at all and just kept reading me their policy about how he can only offer me half of my money refunded, even after admitting that when maybe I wasn't told about the membership when I signed up.
Definitely won't be going to CorePower again because of this. There are plenty of other studios that actually practice what they preach and are compassionate human beings. Charging me $676 for not even stepping foot in your studio during that time period and only offering me half my money back is an insult.

I love this corepower location!! It’s always feels clean and sanitary. They let you borrow a mat and towel for free your first visit. They also have them for rent if you don’t have your own. The instructions are all so great and kind. The Yoga Sculpt class is warmed and pretty fast paced. More cardio/lifting plus yoga. c2 is more fundamental yoga but HOT! So bring a towel :) overall, would recommend this location! They’re on ClassPass too!!
Parking can be tricky sometimes depending on when you go. They have a garage with limited spaces but also have street parking so go early in case you need to park and walk!

After my first time doing hot yoga, I don't know if I could ever do it any other way now! The flow and focus you feel during the class is so envigorating, and you don't realize how much work you put in until you realize how sore you are the next day. I could tell the instructor, Ilana, put a lot of effort and thought into the flow and music for the lesson and it made for a really fun and amazing experience! She was very motivating and confident in what she does.

zero stars for corporate / 5 for the actual classes - rounding up to three to be fair.
Signed up for one class and a few weeks later my card was charged $89 (after I was already charged the $28 for the one class). The listed phone number is a dead end; huge wait and then it just disconnects with no explanation after awhile. Have sent multiple emails and even installed the CP app and messaged thru that; it's been almost 2 weeks and haven't heard back. update: I visited the location and someone there eventually reversed the charges, huge hassle. Should be easy to control through logging in.

I am from San Diego and absolutely love Core Power Yoga. I have always had a great experience and I love the variety of classes and I especially enjoy HPF. I am in Austin for a week and signed up for 8-9 HPF class, the instructors name was Karen Ca. The class was great but Karin decided to leave the door open for the entire Hot Power Fusion Class, I got up during my practice and closed the door so I could enjoy the heat without having constant stream of cold air on half of my body, which then Karin Ca went and opened the door again and underneath her breath said, I just have to have this open. I always enjoy when the instructors open the door from time to time during the practice for that little wave of coolness but not the entire class!!! I think Karin should not be instructing HPF if she can’t stand the heat. It also lessened the quality of the class and I feel like the students pay money for the heat and heating up the room is very expensive for the studio and to just have the door open the entire time so cold air is constantly streaming in is Such a waste of resources for everyone involved, except for Karin. I will definitely continue to sign up for HPF but not if Karen Ca is instructing the class. Odds are if I feel this way, others are too.

Love CorePower, unfortunately they are not well organized at this location. They were confused about my membership and did very confusing things like keep my membership going then back-charge me for single classes weeks later. Confusion happens, but the issue was that they were very unkind (I think the lady’s name was Stephanie) when dealing with it, which did not match my expectations having been to these studios for many years. If someone says things like “well you must have a lot of issues” to a customer who is being kind, they probably shouldn’t be interacting with customers.

It's a little more on the modern side of Yoga, and they don't correct your form as much in certain classes. If you need more support with that, definitely go for a beginner class and/or find a picky instructor. Neverthelesss... I am still a huge fan of this place.

My friend Erin Collegian recommended that I try out the Core 2 room. We placed ourselves closes to the door because I thought I might walk out early since if it gets too warm, my scar tissue in my skull acts up. I stayed through the class and went back on Monday. This past weekend I had the honor of visiting the Monarch studio while out in Texas visiting my bestie for Friendsgiving, and I had a flat out phenomenal experience!
I typically practice in Colorado, and consider many of the yoga instructors/fellow practitioners part of my extended family-- or at minimum, my tribe... so I wasn't too sure what to expect from another studio out of state... but I was absolutely floored by Monique's Saturday morning C2. She was incredible; warm, welcoming, kind, caring, sweet, silly, funny, and jaw-droppingly talented.
Up until this point, I had yet to have experienced a yoga teacher singing to me during practice... (and I feel as though 99.9% of the time this would be an absolute flop...) But she absolutely nailed it. It was the icing on the cake of a transformative practice, and I consider it an honor to have been able to practice with her gorgeous voice. #BestSavasanaEver

Best yoga class I ever taken. Love everything about it. The practice itself of course, but the atmosphere, music, instructors, facilities are all 10/10.

The C1 class is amazing. The yoga with weights is an amazing workout. I started out not in amazing shape and after a few months, I can see the difference. Would recommend them to you all especially to try out since they offer a free week.

Great studios. Amazing workout. Amenities that many other fitness studios do not have, i.e., showers, well stocked locker room, and lounge area, etc.

Core power offers a great variety of classes with cool teachers! Sculpt is perfect for a sweaty full body workout and if your looking for a tough vinyasa flow, HPF is the way to go.

May of 2015 might have been the worst month of my life. So much rejection from so many fear-addicted people (who 'should' have been there for me, but used me)...I knew that I was going to do something destructive if I didn't get help...So I went to class! Every. Single. Day. And I found strength of body, but also of MIND! This studio is clean, strong, and challenging. Almost all of the instructors are highly passionate. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because the cost is not feasible for everyone, but the location probably demands that. Namaste.

First timer and thoroughly enjoyed the workout. It was nice to get the blood flowing again in a calm, clean atmosphere. The leaders were super kind and supportive. The class was small but that could've been the time if day. Also, the facility was very nice, modern, clean. Either way, I'll be going back for sure.

I was impressed with the modern decor and various yoga classes for all types. I did the hot yoga fusion session and enjoyed the heat intensity and core moves. Good place to detox and stretch and increase your health through yoga.

Great yoga place on the high end. Fully stocked and nicesShowers, clothes to buy, mat and towel rental, so it has everything you need. Can be crowded sometimes on Monday afternoons (don't ask me why).

Pay to rent towels, yoga mats, etc.

I prefer this studio way better than the one at the Triangle. If you decide to drive. The parking is validated for a dollar at the studio! The instructors are knowledgeable and my practice has gotten a lot more frequent since I became a member. I started off with c1 and now taking c2 classes. They can be challenging but because the classes are small, the instructors does give hands-on instructions which is very helpful. They do offer free week for first time members!

There are over three-hundred billions places to practice yoga in Austin. To my mind, this one is the best. In fact, it's the best place I've practiced anywhere.
The classes combine the aspects I find essential from the various yoga styles. It has the endurance building and physical prowess of Bikram without the reliance on the same 26-postures that can come to feel limiting, even dogmatic. It has the harmonizing of body movement with breathing awareness that, hitherto, I found most manifest in Vinyasa, though there are times after practicing Vinyasa where I felt as if my mind had been soothed but my body hadn't grooved, you dig? Every time I went to Core the practice was different, and yet this was the same: I received a helluva workout and ironically had more energy after physically exhausting myself, and was rejuvenated psychologically and, for lack of a better term, spiritually.
Word.
As for the teachers, they're approachable and available before and after class. I found each of them open and encouraging and I easily identified with their knowledge and love of yoga. And the worst thing I could say about the studio is it's too nice (which, of course, is awesome). It's spacious, impeccably clean, vibrant in color and atmosphere, and the amenities are incredible and spa-worthy. They thought of everything, from bags to put your wet clothes in to mouth wash to body spray, and the location is prime real estate in downtown, right next to Whole Foods, a two-minute bike ride to the river trails, et al. I love it all. Seriously, it makes me want to be a better man. That legit.
Anyway, it's good rule of thumb in yoga to try a variety of styles and studios to find a fit, and this happened to be the place I'd been looking for, the one that made me feel most connected with myself, my practice, my teachers, and my surroundings. And they offer a free trial week, so you might as well see for yourself, right.

I went into my free week of classes as a new student at Core Power (which I LOVE that they give you a trial period before committing) and walked out vowing that I would go back! They made me love yoga. All the staff is great, and the instructors are by far the best I have ever experienced! The facilities are clean, the environment is relaxed, and the location is ideal. Also if you can't afford the prices (although all yoga studios are expensive), they have a work-trade option which I love! GO DO YOGA HERE!
