I feel so grateful to have found CFA. The coaches here are absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable, supportive, and always meeting you where you are with thoughtful scaling so you never feel intimidated (which is often the case when people hear “CrossFit”).
One of the biggest blessings has been how accommodating everyone is when we bring our kids along to class. It gives us such peace of mind knowing they’re welcome, especially since we don’t always have anywhere else to leave them.
A special thank you to Coach Heidi for guiding me safely through my pregnancy with the right scaling and now continuing to support me in my postpartum journey. Thanks to her and the whole CFA team, we've been able to stay consistent, healthy, and confident.

CFA is an incredible gym with an unbeatable community vibe! I've been at CFA for nearly two years and have had nothing but a positive experience. This has been largely due to the phenomenal coaching staff here. What sets them apart is the level of care and attention they give to all the members. They genuinely care about your progress and want to see you succeed.
I want to recognize the exceptional work of two coaches, Dylan and Gus. Their personal investment in my progress has been truly remarkable. I can directly attribute my growth to their care and attention to detail. Their expertise, especially in Olympic weightlifting, is really where they shine. Dylan has been by my side since the beginning, and I always trust his feedback and coaching.
I want to call out Gus's coaching in our weightlifting classes to drive home this point. We have a few members in the class who are deaf or hard of hearing. Gus takes the time to learn basic American Sign Language to ensure they understand warm-ups, movements, and instructions. This is one of many examples that really speaks to the exceptional level of care you will see from the coaches of CFA.

I joined CFA four years ago when I moved to Austin, and I feel really lucky that I landed at such a great gym. The onboarding process is well-planned and you are matched with a coach-for-life that serves as your main point of contact. Dylan is my coach and he goes above and beyond in making sure I felt comfortable at the gym and felt welcomed and also are kept in the loop with all of the gym-related social events which are fun and a great way to meet more people.
All of the coaches are truly top-notch and care about all of the members. They make sure people are getting personalized attention and recommendations for the workouts that are scaled to your workout level. It is worth it to explore all of the class options including Crossfit, Weightlifting, and Range and Resilience!
There is a great community at CFA that is hard to find. All of the people that I have met are incredibly welcoming and make you want to come back and continue to workout together, whether it is for a competitive push or a friendly catch up. You will be glad you chose CFA.

The online signup process was new to me. But once I got there the members, workout and coaching were great! Happy we stopped in to sweat.
Be careful if you are going in the summer. We went in May and it was already 95 degrees by 10am. There is no AC in the main workout space (just in the office) so make sure to bring your electrolytes. Texas summer is no joke- brave souls.

CFA is hands down the best CrossFit gym I have ever been to. The programming is phenomenal, community is welcoming and the coaches are all amazing. Every single one of them. I’m bummed to be leaving this gym but am so thankful for what I’ve learned about fitness and my body specifically while working out here! I could not recommend this place enough!

I turned 59 last year and decided to get serious about getting strong and building better health for myself. So, I went and checked out several gyms that were really close to me. I met with Dylan at CrossFit Austin and I instantly knew he was the perfect Personal Trainer for me, and that he would help me accomplish my goals.
I've now been working with Dylan a couple times a week for almost a year. I can't believe how strong and physically confident I've become working with Dylan. My body can now do things I would have never imagined it could do. He has helped me gain new strength after being diagnosed with Osteoporosis a few years ago, and has been helping me rebuild my health from a year of breast cancer treatments in 2017. I feel sure that when I am next tested for the Osteoporosis it will show that I've gained new bone since the last test.. I am confident that the strength training I've been doing with Dylan is the best thing I could be doing for my body and my health.
I told Dylan when we started that I wanted to be a woman that could get up and down off the floor with ease at 90. I know that I will be that woman because I now know what my body is capable of when I exercise it properly and regularly. I feel great, I have more energy, I look young and fit, and I know that I'm a strong and healthy 60 year young woman.
I can not recommend Dylan and CrossFit Austin enough. It's NOT your typical CrossFit Gym! I suggest you give it a try, whether it's for their group training classes or personal training.

Top notch coaching! Dillan’s class was textbook. Perfectly exemplified everything an L2 coach should be. Great presence and attitude, and very personable. Whiteboard brief was concise and relevant. General warmup played with movements I haven’t seen. Specific warmup was calculated and clear. It was by far the best run, explained and demonstrated warmup I’ve experience in a very long time. Visual cues provided great reference highlighted by the verbal explanations. It was clear that his delivery is very well practiced and thoughtful. Something that could only have come from years of repetition and refinement. Throughout the strength and metcon portions he was constantly making the rounds asking poignant questions and offering very useful corrections, and striking up conversations that make the experience feel very personal and engaging. If I wasn’t just visiting this weekend, this experience is precisely what would make me sign up on the spot. Dillan is absolutely a coach who will help you grow no matter where you are in your evolution.

Just love these guys. Workouts are challenging, but everything is scalable, and you’re never made to feel less than. The coaches are amazing and know their stuff, and they coach you where you are with the aim of improving lives through movement and strength. They welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like I belong from day one, and I love the fact that there is laughter, fun, and camaraderie here. Just all around a great gym and welcoming team. ♥️

Awesome gym! Really fun, knowledgeable staff. Staff is full of licensed expert PTs, Body Work Therapy, CrossFit, Olympic lifting etc.
Come drop in for a WOD, and ask Coach Jared which hair company he is currently modeling for.
We do this for the Oreos.

Awesome. The facilities are 5 starts on their own. But the people at this place get a bonus ⭐⭐⭐. This is not the kind of place where you sign up and you're on your own. The coaches match your commitment and guide you to success in a fun and challenging way. Love the place and would absolutely recommend it to anyone at any fitness level. I don't usually do reviews, but I want to see this place succeed since they clearly want the same for me.

I dropped in to do a class here and I was a little late, the coaches took the time to get me caught up on what was happening in the workout and I was able to jump right in. We completed strength movements and some accessory work before the actual workout, then we completed 17.3 open workout. They made me feel like i was back at my home gym, thank you for everything.

Back home in San Francisco it took me three tries to find the right fit in a Crossfit gym. Moved out to Austin and it just took one try. I've been impressed since Day 1 here how knowledgeable and supportive ALL the coaches and other athletes are. The team building activities and social outings are great pluses! CFA rocks!

Been here for a year and the coaches treat you like family and care about your progress. There are athletes here that train their own programs but all levels are welcome here and modifications are offered for exercises that seem hard. So everyone has a chance to get fit here. Glad I am part of this community.

I arrived 2 weeks ago. I tried many CrossFit Boxes in the area and found this one to be the right size, for the area pricing. I was instantly welcomed and people here were super nice. The programming seems good here and I don't feel like I cannot do the workouts. Everything can be modified to your level. I also like that there are a lot of good athletes here, which pushes me to workout harder and smarter. I think it has a good balance for beginners and for experts. Best of all, is it is a great community. :-)
