Came in from out of town for a drop in.
Amazing set up with everything you need for a workout and shower with towels afterwards for clean up if you are going somewhere right after.

I was with my last CrossFit gym for 10 years—literally grew up with that crew—so finding a gym with a strong community was super important to me. I tried a couple places after moving, but the second I walked into CrossFit Second Wave, I just knew it was the right fit.
Coach Becky was so welcoming at my first class. She asked about my background and injuries, and made sure I felt comfortable. They really cater to your individual ability, which I appreciate a lot. I mostly go to Becky’s classes since they fit my schedule, but I’ve taken a few with other coaches too and they’re all amazing. Kristen’s are another fave—both her and Becky have such great energy and attention to detail.
The gym is super clean, well-organized, and the community vibe is just awesome. Everyone’s friendly, supportive, and it really feels like a place you want to show up to. So glad I found it.

I took my first class here today and had a great experience! The coach was extremely knowledgeable in form and did a great job of challenging while giving modifications as needed. I was a bit nervous about stepping into a CrossFit environment but it was extremely welcoming and the class had participants at all different levels. I highly recommend giving second wave a try!

Today was my first time doing CrossFit and my first time since 2015 working out! It was intimidating at first being heavyset and being around a group who was much more fit than I am! But, Bryan the owner gave me tools to help accommodate me since I was not at a level as the rest and still made me feel apart of his class. Everyone was very nice and welcoming and I didn’t feel judged or out of place! I’ll be back! TY

What a great gym! Can’t say enough about it. We were in town visiting friends and did a drop in on the 9am class. The coach and staff were excellent! The coach-led warmup was top notch. The tips and pointers provided during the class were excellent. This is probably the cleanest and best organized CrossFit gym I’ve seen. A+++++

I starting doing CrossFit workouts in my garage gym but after my 4th kiddo, it became clear I needed real coaching. Becky and Brian are amazing at teaching proper form and have helped this postpartum mama scale appropriately along the process. There are no intimidating vibes at all. Everyone at the gym is incredibly welcoming and supportive!

CrossFit Second Wave has been the spark I was looking for in my workout journey. What to expect: as soon as you walk through the door you’ll be greeted by friendly faces. You’ll be training with a supportive group of people and knowledgeable coaches. You’ll get tips on workout movements and supported through the whole workout to ensure proper form. Can’t do a particular move, don’t worry, they’ll modify it for you but you’ll still get the same benefit. Three months in and I have seen great results. Definitely getting stronger day by day. Definitely recommend stopping by and giving it a try!

CrossFit 2nd Wave is an excellent place to get healthy, get in shape, and meet great people.
The staff are highly trained and highly dedicated. Two of the full-time trainers are Level 3 Certified CrossFit trainers, with an in-depth understanding of exercise science, anatomy, and CrossFit training.
The facilities are very good, with high-quality weights and equipment.
The best thing about CrossFit 2nd Wave is the approach to training and the positive attitudes the staff conveys. Whether you’re a high-caliber athlete or a beginner who wants to get back into shape, you will be treated with the same level of attention and respect. More importantly, you will be motivated by staff to achieve your goals, but you won’t be pushed to go beyond what is reasonable to accomplish at your current fitness level.
I have been working out at CrossFit 2nd Wave for 2 years, and have definitely improved my all-around fitness. I offer my highest recommendation.

I recently joined Crossfit Second Wave after moving to the Hill Country. I have been a member of many CrossFit Boxes in the North Houston area and have dropped in various boxes extensively while traveling for extended periods of time. I am in my 50s and NOT a fire breather by any stretch of the imagination! This is perhaps the very best coached box I have been in. Coach Bryan is meticulous in the details of the WOD as well as the warm up, stretching and the cool down! Nothing is shorted here!! He pushes me to be MY best not THE best. The gym is immaculate and the members are VERY welcoming! The equipment all looks brand new and well kept up. On top of the regular classes Bryan has instituted Mobility WODs on weekends and has guest speakers come in for trainings on various aspects of health!!! I cannot say enough about this place and look forward to my journey to better health!!!

I’m SO thankful to have found this gym! I have had chronic back pain for the past 15 years and would throw my back out multiple times a year that would then lead to being “out” for weeks while it healed. In the two years I have been a member at CrossFit Second Wave, my back has never been stronger and my pain is completely gone. The coaching is the best, and they work with you around your specific needs to be as strong as you can be.

This place is amazing on all fronts! The coaching staff is amazing, the people that attend are super great and you get an amazing workout. It’s rare that you have the same workout and they push you just enough but always have safety and proper technique at the forefront. I can’t recommend CrossFit Second Wave enough.

I’ve been doing CrossFit for 8 years now. Moving here from NJ almost 3 years ago, I dropped in at a handful of CrossFit gyms, but couldn’t find one that I clicked with.
2.5 years ago I dropped in at CrossFit Second Wave in hopes to find a gym close to work & I’ve been a member ever since!! This is the most welcoming CrossFit gym I’ve ever been to! All the coaches are insanely educated and knowledgeable - I STILL learn something new from them everyday. I couldn’t recommend this gym enough. Amazing community, good programming, 24/7 access, always so so clean, and so much fun! Come check them out! 💪🏻

I have been a member of CrossFit Second Wave for about 6 months now. The gym has all the bells and whistles you could want to get a grueling full-body workout (or as intense as you'd like to make it), and never be bored. The coaching is excellent - you can tell all owners and staff members genuinely care about technique, safety, and modification of exercise to cater to all skill levels. Additionally, the community is uniquely tight which adds fun and flavor to the gym. I highly recommend 2nd Wave to anyone at any level of fitness, which is a rare accomplishment!

My wife and I just finished day 1 with the 5am class. We've never tried CrossFit before but we had a basic idea of what we were getting ourselves into.
Bryan guided us through the basics, made sure we had good form to prevent injury and supported us as we moved through the different workouts.
The rest of the attendees were great. They showed support, cheered us on and were just happy to have us there.
If you're looking to get started in CrossFit, but you're afraid to take that first step, this is the perfect place for you.

I started taking classes 3x per week in February 2021. In the months following, I've gained so much confidence in my abilities and I'm strongest I've ever felt.
There's a stigma around CrossFit that it's for "super jacked gym bros," and I won't lie... I was terrified going into my first group class. Then about 2 minutes after we started a man ran in apologizing for his tardiness, talking about how he was running late getting his children to school that morning, which is when I realized... it's just everyday people taking ownership of their health (not a gym bro in sight). All of this thanks to the tireless efforts of Becky and Bryan -- they have cultivated a supportive community that provides encouragement without the tension of peer pressure or competition. If anything I'm completing with myself, striving to be a little stronger than I was the week before.
So whether you're an advanced athlete or someone who's never lifted a weight, I highly recommend starting your journey at CrossFit Second Wave. You absolutely won't regret it.

First Crossfit Gym workout in > 10 yrs, so not sure what to expect. Found a very welcoming, no-nonsense group of people of all fitness levels. Lots of options for differing levels of fitness/injury what have you. Couple of kiddos working out too and shaming some of the grownups (rope climb!). Quick spot-corrections for form and technique to prevent injury (a common failing of many CF gyms). Lots of vets and plenty of non-vets. Absolutely 100% positive attitudes all around. Highly recommend. Great job Bryan.

Amazing! I recently dropped in for a "Hero WOD" on a Saturday morning. Although I am a relatively experienced CrossFitter, I came away from the workout with a ton of useful knowledge thanks to Coach Becky and Bryan. The team at CrossFit Second Wave is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. I believe that people of all experience levels and backgrounds can find a "home" at CrossFit Second Wave that will help them quickly become the best version of themselves both inside and outside the gym. We dropped in for a Saturday workout right after Christmas. It was a great time! The members and coaches were friendly and welcoming, and the facility is top-notch. Every piece of equipment is practically brand new.
The warm up was very thorough and the coach did a good job of giving scaling options for the Hero wod.
I would definitely recommend dropping in or working out here if you get the chance.
