This Crunch Fitness location seriously needs a management overhaul. There is zero consistency in what staff tell you — every person gives a different answer about membership terms, cancellation, and fees. No one seems trained or informed, and any simple question turns into a long runaround where you leave with fewer answers than you started with. You can’t rely on their app for accurate info, and when you try to clarify charges or policy details, they act like they’re doing you a favor just by acknowledging you. A gym should be straightforward — you pay, you work out, you get support if there’s a problem. Instead, this place feels chaotic and careless, and members are the ones paying the price for their disorganization. I’d recommend avoiding this gym until they fix their internal mess.

This Crunch Fitness location operates with zero transparency and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. It's my local gym and I love it, but the music is incredibly loud; you can even hear the sauna. I usually work out listening to other kinds of music, and I have to leave before I finish my workout because the music is so loud. Sometimes I even try to study with my headphones on.

Mist of the Lockers are locked open and they don’t care to unlock them the next day and leave it where almost all lockers are locked when the gym isn’t bus at all..!!

Elliptical machine all have Bluetooth function inop and they don’t seem to care to have it fixed

Some of the elliptical don’t respond to your inputs and just go full strength on you and no fix still for the past 3 months

I’m in the middle of moving to Allen from Maryland, and this was the third gym I tried, unfortunately the not the best experience so far. I spoke to Bryton on the phone, and he told me I could come in for a free day trial. When I arrived, Jesse, who was working the front desk, pushed back and told me I’d have to pay about $16 because I’m from out of state something that was never mentioned. None of the other gyms I tried charged a fee to try the gym for a day.

The front desk wasn’t rude, but they were focused on enforcing the out-of-state fee instead of acknowledging the misunderstanding or helping a new potential member. As someone trying to get settled here and find a gym home, it didn’t feel welcoming at all.

Would not recommend Crunch Fitness in Allen. If you’re looking for a gym in the area, I recommend Fitness Connection instead. Their staff was transparent, professional, and actually made me feel like a valued customer. Ask for Bryce — night-and-day difference in customer service.

Unfortunately, it's on pace to going to shit. I've been here almost since the beginning. With the previous manager Keenan, things were seemingly running smoothly. With whoever the current manager is, I can't say the same.

1. Equipment is much more noticeably broken.
2. Wipes. There's times when you have to walk across the entire gym to get a wipe, all while checking 5+ empty wipe containers.
3. There's a fountain that has been nearly zero water pressure for probably a month now. There's only 4 fountains in the gym in the first place.
4. It was impossible to contact someone through email/message. And I mean through ~5 attempts.

Current manager - get it together. This is embarrasing level customer service.

If you are thinking of joining, I would reconsider. I know I'm having doubts of renewing my membership.

Despite submitting a refund request for charges made after I canceled my services, I received a generic response stating my email isn’t in their system — even though it’s the same email on file.

Instead of helping resolve the issue, they redirected me with vague instructions, without providing any concrete path forward. I also visited the local location and was told a refund would be issued — yet I was charged again the following month.

Crunch in Allen has quickly become one of my favorite gyms. The turf area is huge and perfect for sled pushes, stretching, and functional training, and they’ve got a great variety of machines for every workout. What really stands out though is the energy and environment — everyone is super friendly. You can’t walk past the front desk without someone smiling, saying hi, and starting a conversation. I went to the Allen location very early around 5:05 am on Tuesday 9/30/25. When I first came in the lady at the counter (white female with short dark curly hair) has her head down staring at her phone or computer never acknowledged me until I said good morning to her. After my workout I approached the back counter to get a chair massage. The lady at the side counter (white female with short dark curly hair same lady when I 1st checked in) completely ignores me doing something on her computer for about 3 to 5 minutes she definitely saw me. Keep in mind there were no other customers in front of her. Then she asks can you scan your barcode over here instead of the one right in front of me which I thought was very rude. I kind of paused and looked away for a minute. I was shocked by her attitude and behavior from being ignored and then her making me move to another barcode scanner. She then raises her voice very loud yelling at me and tells me not to roll my eyes at her. This lady should never be working in a customer facing role. EXTREMELY RUDE, and oblivious to the fact that she is in a customer service role which means she should be nice and kind to all customers & not ignore customers that have to start their workday and are in a hurry. DO BETTER.

I spoke with the front desk several times about my membership and fees, but each time I was just told to come back later because the manager with authority wasn’t available. I had to repeat my situation over and over again, which was very frustrating. I originally requested cancellation of my Crunch Fitness membership at the Allen, TX location in Aug/Sep 2024, but only the kids’ service was canceled. Despite multiple emails, phone calls, and in-person visits, my account was never closed, and I have been charged $34.71 every month for over 13 months even though I haven’t used the gym.

When I went back to the Allen location, they promised a refund but I was charged again — most recently $34.71 and $49.71 in the last few days. When I called the location, they simply told me to “reach out to corporate” instead of resolving the issue.

I signed up for Personal Training Sessions in June because Tomas is fantastic. I was under the impression that I’d be making three payments of $136—simple and straightforward. Unfortunately, the process wasn’t clearly explained, and it has snowballed into a complicated and expensive mess. I’ve now been charged seven times, despite staying in contact with gym staff the entire time (as of this post, three and a half months).
I’ve been billed an additional $500 for sessions I didn’t want, request, use, or can AFFORD. While Jason was compassionate and tried to help, corporate has been unresponsive and seems unwilling to resolve the issue.
As long as you’re not signing up for PT sessions, I do recommend this gym—the classes, instructors, and trainers are great.
I’ll be looking for a different gym, which is really unfortunate because I genuinely enjoyed being a part of this community. It’s incredibly disheartening to know I can’t afford to celebrate my 6th wedding anniversary because that money went to a gym—over a situation that was entirely preventable. What’s worse is feeling like corporate doesn’t care.

I went to try the one day pass and it seemed a fine gym, so they got me to sign in and then pay for the trainer session that’s 30 minutes asking you about your routine and then the coach would offer you a training session that’s $250 up to $1500 a month!
I like to go to the group class and that’s why I signed. But then the mats are really old ( get your own ) also one of the coaches started recording every one in the class during practice on her phone with no permission.
The woman bathrooms are really small, and felt like I’m at a public park bathrooms because there’s no paper towels to dry your hands. If you want to cancel you can only after 90 days with another 30 days notice

I don’t usually write reviews, let alone bad ones, but this has to be the worst experience I’ve ever had with a gym. It’s absolutely horrible. Signed up for the personal training (don’t do it) both of my personal trainers have quit after two weeks. And now I’m still responsible for another 2 months, but can’t even get a consistent schedule with a trainer because they keep leaving! If there is a way I’d get out of the contract, I would. But they just say you signed up for the “training program” not the trainer. So they just stick you with another one after your original trainer leaves. Makes me wonder why they have a such high turnover rate. I’ll be canceling my membership when possible.

Their contract is sneaky, be careful when you sign up, eventhough they had promotion to sign up for 1 cent, they charged me $64.94 annual fees the second month, and membership is almost $20 per month. They also try to sell training. They put lots of people and the machines are rarely available. I will not renew my membership next year. Their cancellation violates the rules. If they allow enrolling online, they should be allowing cancellation online as well, that’s the law. I am sure someone will file a lawsuit against them

The showers here are so incredibly disgusting. They are covered in grime and fruit flies. The smell is horrendous and the water temperature and pressure is inconsistent. It’s pretty normal for people to go to the gym before work and take a shower at the gym, so I’m not sure why this is such a big issue. I came into the gym today to discuss possibly canceling my membership, and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. I spoke with a staff member named Nicole, who was on her phone while I was trying to explain my situation. She seemed disinterested and told me I needed to speak to a manager.

When the manager came to assist me, I began explaining my concerns. While I was speaking, Nicole stood right next to us and interrupted, saying, “I just said that,” in a rude and dismissive tone. It was unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable.

Thankfully, the manager was helpful and respectful, but Nicole’s attitude left a negative impression. I hope the staff is reminded that professionalism and basic courtesy make a big difference, especially when customers are trying to make decisions about continuing their membership.

Disappointed in the amount of out of service/damaged equipment and the lack of effort to fix it. Seems like they just throw a sign on the broken machines and wait a month to do something about it. Kind of a bummer considering we’re charged an outrageous annual fee specifically for damaged equipment.

Been going for over a year until staff tells me my membership was cancelled, they were very rude and unfriendly until they found out the mistake was because of one of their employees then they started acting nice and asked for a positive review which they don’t deserve.

They could have 5 stars but their parking is horrible any time after work. I’ve arrived 10 minutes early before a class and been late because the parking lot and nearby parking lots are packed. I much prefer the early morning hours and classes. Serena is a great instructor and really gets to know her people in her class. She’s always ready to offer modifications for the stations if needed and gives good feedback. As far as gyms in the area this is the best bang for your buck!

Just joined and seems to be a nice facility. I will say, if you already know you want to buy a membership (I got the Peak Results where I can use any location), then do not purchase in person, do it online. I went in for a tour knowing I would already buy the membership regardless and I felt bombarded by sales and was offered a “special one-day deal” for a $10 trainer consultation (which I ended up cancelling because they switched up trainers on me and I did not really want to use it), but I already knew it wasn’t a one day deal because of looking at reviews here online and wasn’t looking to have a trainer. If anything, I almost felt like they were going to sell me out of buying the membership. Otherwise, the staff seemed friendly and the space was very clean and plenty of equipment for those that prefer training on their own like I do. Looking forward to trying out the other locations as well.

I normally receive a nice reception when I check in for the morning Zumba classes, this is to give a special recognition to both Alycea and Zechariah at the reception desk. I’ve been going to this gym for a while now, and I have to give a shoutout to Caden. He’s one of the most dedicated and positive team members there. Whether he’s helping with equipment, offering advice on form, or just keeping the space running smoothly, he’s always professional, respectful, and approachable.

Caden genuinely cares about the members and it shows — he’s knowledgeable, supportive, and never too busy to help out or answer questions. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and in creating a great environment for everyone.

I used to enjoy using Crunch as my gym, but I don't think they supply enough equipment to meet the demands of the memberships they sell. You want to use bench for free weights? Get in line behind two other people. Want to finish your workout with some cardio? All of them are full. I have a flexible schedule, and go at different times of the day and rarely are these issues not a problem. There needs to be some updates to help alleviate these issues as over crowding will drive away a lot of us to other gyms eventually if nothing is done.

Jumping into the gym can be a very new and scary experience, I was terrified. One of the things that impacts this experience is the environment when you walk into the gym. I can positively say that Crunch is unmatched when it comes to good atmosphere and friendly-supportive staff. All this plus their unmatched facilities makes for a workout experience that brings me back every time. Ariel, one of the personal trainers, took the time to help me with a question about my form on my first day, and ever since then she has taken the time to greet me and say hi when she sees me. When I told her I was nervous about starting to work out a new muscle group, she volunteered her time to show me a whole gym plan to try. She talked me through not just understanding the workout, but also how it’s supposed to feel. It’s hard to find a gym that has it all, but Crunch does, and its people like Ariel and the other fantastic trainers here that make me feel more confident, comfortable, and empowered to come to the gym and work hard. Whether you’re just starting out, or are a gym regular, you will love it here. Crunch has made forever members in me and my family!
