Came in to ask some questions about the gym and the female manager was EXTREMELY rude. I was very interested, but now I will go elsewhere. Staff definitely missed the Customer service aspect of things…

The front desk girl appears to need additional training, as she seemed unsure of her responsibilities and came across as rude.
I just visited the Kyle location, and it’s clear their team is better trained as they have noticeably better attitudes.

Just about a perfect gym. Great equipment. Nice layout.
Staff is super friendly. Always super clean. Even the rest of the clientele are great. (No weirdos or obnoxious members) Rarely crowded. I drive a little further just to come to this location.

Cool place, I suggest you sign up online because I think you get $2 off for linking your bank account vs coming in store and have a person sign you up… you then don’t get the $2 discount. I found that out by trying to sign up online, then coming into the gym because I knew the people get a comission. Which I asked and they confirmed. I came here in person so someone can get comission.. Which I’m happy I helped someone out. But if your looking to save sign up online…
It may be different now but when I was trying to join this is how it was.

This was my first day today, and Raul was nothing but more than helpful and kind to show me the gym quick even he was busy with early day dense traffic. Great staff, big complex with lot of equipment.

It’s a good gym BUTTT the equipment is dirty because people don’t wipe them down after using it and people don’t rack their weights. You can see the sweat thats left on the machines and stretch mats. It’s unsanitary and who wants to rack up 8 of the 45lb plates left by the person before and I’m pregnant! Not me. If we aren’t holding people accountable the can staff do a frequent cleanup? Bathroom stalls are dirty as well. The doors are gross.

2nd time going after getting a membership my friend asked if i could dim the lights in the room with all the mirrors and i accidentally turned them off for a moment but turned them immediately on, but a member of the staff got mad at me acting like i was messing around and then i asked if it wasn’t allowed and she said technically working out isn’t allowed in here when i wasn’t even working out and didn’t have anything to do with my original question, i had barely walked in to meet my friend after doing my cardio, if i didn’t do the year long id have canceled my membership already

WATCH OUT FOR 10¢ AND .01¢ OFFER!
I signed up at Crunch Southpark Meadows for what was advertised as a two-week offer for $0.01. It appeared to be a simple low risk way to try the gym. Four days later, without ever using the facility, I requested to cancel. Instead of honoring the spirit of a “two-week” promo, the club attempted to charge me nearly $140, including an annual fee.
Only after signing up did I discover that the contract buries a cancellation window of just three days, which is unreasonably short compared to a clearly advertised “two-week” promo. The manager, Anica, later confirmed that it was never a trial at all, but a full membership where they “cover your first two weeks of dues.” That is not how the promotion was presented at the time of sign-up. The language used creates the impression of a two-week trial, while the fine print functions as a full membership with immediate fees attached.
This type of gap between the marketing message and the actual terms can be perceived as deceptive and misleading. Charging an annual fee to someone who never used the gym and tried to cancel four days in does not align with the idea of a .01¢ two-week experience. Anyone considering joining should read every line of the contract, because what is advertised does not match what you are actually committing to. This reflects poorly on the way they conduct business. This is not the type of business I would like to be part of.

It is clean it has every machine plus more than you can imagine. All of the machines and equipment are new. There’s nice carpet instead of concrete. They’ve got plenty of huge TV screens. The staff is always visible and always happy to help. My membership is GREAT at this point. I just hope that they keep it up because South Austin really needs it. I am excited about knowing when I think about this gym.

When we heard that crunch was opening up this location we were beyond elated and counted the days! Its one of their biggest locations yet!
First off the staff is great! Always greets you when you enter and exit the facility. The variety of equipment that they offer is also great!
We'd describe this location as a mixture of equipment from their kyle location and sunset valley location. Where you have some great body building style of equipment, but also your general consumer regular equipment.
Pros:
-Love the Hammer Strength Machines that they have! From the V squat, Calf Raise, Shoulder Press, Belt Squat and RDL Machine.
-Love the Glute lift Machine in their Ass and Abs zone plus they have lots of leg cable machines for glutes.
-They have a separate room for their HIIT workout classes which helps keep the other turf area open.
-They have 3-4 free moving adjustable benches which makes it nice to use for the smith machine and olympic lift platforms if you want.
-Paper towels always seem to be stocked and restrooms are clean
-Lots of classes to choose from with great instructors (Shout out to Lu, a ride class instructor who is one of the BEST!)
Unfortunates:
-The clientele at this location unfortunately isn't the best at removing their weights from the machines and putting them back where they found them nor just general gym etiquette. For instance, we've had people take weights off the machines we're in the middle of using WITHOUT asking if we were using them. Some people are so oblivious.
-The staff does their best to put back weights (saw the manager a couple mornings reorganizing the weights)
-Their is only 1 lying leg curl and the only seated leg curl is the rocking one (which I'm not a fan of).
Overall we love this location. Even when it is busy for the most part you can find some piece of equipment that you can use to workout.

My favorite place to be other than on a hike at Zilker reserve. The staff is friendly, though I don't ever really interact with them. The equipment is well maintained. I go when it isn't as busy, though at the times I have been in a rush, it was still decently okay getting the workout that I needed in within the timeframe I had available. I feel comfortable here and don't ever worry about not feeling safe about working out at any time of the day. It's great for what I need to do and my current fitness goals. I don't need anything insane. I have seen some pretty cool machines in there that I haven't used yet, but I'll get around to them eventually!

I have been very frustrated with the traffic at the Kyle location, which is closer to my house. I have made friends with some of the gym staff and was told that the "OG's workout at this location." I did not want to fight people for machines, get frustrated by the "gym bros" who seem to want to use almost every dumbbell this gym has, or get frustrated with folks who will scroll TikTok and FaceBook while you are trying to workout and they are sitting on a machine that you would like to use. If you ask them to work in, they will reply, "I have one more set." One more set? You have sat there for 30 minutes scrolling on your phone. I was a little nervous coming to this new location, not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that if you go after 11pm, it is dead. The past few times I have gone, there has been maybe 7 people in the gym including myself. I do not have to worry about fighting for free weights, or getting frustrated because someone is scrolling on their phone, not moving from a machine, nor do I see people take advantage of their "guest pass" and bring all of their buddies into the gym. This place is very clean, well stocked and you can easily switch from machine to machine. My only issue is being able to locate machines that I normally would use. I am also very happy this did not put all of the cardio equipment on the second floor where you have to go up the stairs to do cardio. The also weird thing is their red light, tanning beds and aqua massage are behind this glass door. Because this gym is a little smaller than San Marcos or Kyle, they have to have a way to keep it separate.
I am a big fan of this place and will make the 15 minute drive to grab a work out to avoid the Kyle crowd. I am not sure what is up with all the low ratings. Apparently, these are the people who probably have not worked out at many other places. I can name quite a few gyms that are way worse than the "overcrowded" and "over hyped" gyms that one lady mentioned. This place is much better than San Marcos and Kyle.

New Equipment that's the 2 stars. Very crowded Gym, lots of people just there as normal, then you've got the other people that make the gym feel like a cross between a prison gym and a college football team's gym.

I’ve been going to gyms for 50 years and this is my favorite one by far. Firstly, $30 a month for all the equipment you could want (and everything works unlike LA fitness) plus loads of classes to take and the wellness area is awesome - crazy cheap. I would, literally, pay that just for hydro massage.
Also, Anica is the manager there and she is great and really on top of things. Her staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus, it never closes! Best gym ever.

The gym is pretty good! Sauna and hydro massage is perfect! But the gym is ALWAYS packed!I wish they had more classes in the Am and kids crunch had better hrs on the weekend and a yucky bin for dirty toys I dropped my son off and watched a little girl put a toy in her mouth put it down then my son picked it up 🤢

The gym is nice—clean, modern, and full of equipment. But it’s always overcrowded. I used to go to LA Fitness around 8:30 p.m., and it was perfect: fewer people, peaceful atmosphere, and plenty of machines available. Unfortunately, that location is closing, so we switched to this new gym.
We tried going at the same time, but it was packed. So we started going later, sacrificing our sleep just to avoid the crowd. Even at 10 p.m., it was impossible to find the machine I needed.
They’re distributing flyers all over South Austin, but honestly, they shouldn’t be bringing in more people when it’s already this crowded. I really hope it’s just the initial hype of a new gym and that things calm down over time.

I was really looking forward to the new South Park Meadows location and even kept my (peak results) membership after moving just so I could train there. Unfortunately, on only my second visit, I had a terrible experience with the manager. I was berated for using black plates on the platform, even though I’ve done this at other locations (Kyle, South Austin, etc) without issue and have seen others do the same. Instead of a simple clarification, the manager chose to talk down to me like I was a child being reprimanded. It was condescending, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary.
After years as a loyal member, I canceled my membership because I refuse to be treated with disrespect. This happened on 9/18 around 3:30 pm, and I hope the company takes a hard look at how this location is being managed.
***Update***
You all see their ask for me to contact them? I did as requested, it’s now two weeks with no response. Clearly that response is just an attempt to save face publicly without any actual intention to resolve anything. Buyer beware, everyone is aware of crunches predatory membership practices but this location also adds in bad management that doesn’t treat long term members with respect to the list.

The facility is great but the franchise owner is not the main reason I got back to crunch is to go in and use the hot yoga room to do my full body workouts, but the franchise management only allows you to use it if you book a yoga class and that just killed it for me

I recently joined this new gym and it has quickly become one of the best I have ever been to. The amenities are top-notch and the variety of classes makes it easy to find something you enjoy. I especially love the HIIT, hot yoga, and spin classes; the instructors bring so much energy and make every workout fun and effective.
The atmosphere is another highlight. The members are friendly, and the staff always make you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. It is the kind of place that motivates you to keep coming back, not just for the workouts but also for the community.
If you are looking for a gym that has amazing facilities, great classes, and a welcoming vibe, I highly recommend checking this one out.

I seriously love Crunch. They’ve got just about every machine you could want. Tons of cable setups, a huge selection of dumbbells, multiple platforms, and what feels like endless cardio options.
I also have to give credit to the staff. They’re constantly moving around, cleaning, organizing, and making sure everything runs smoothly. Sure, you might see them tidying up near you mid-set, but that’s kind of the point. If they weren’t out there staying on top of things, this place would fall apart fast. Let’s not confuse doing their jobs with being “in the way.” Mindset is everything!
Every manager I’ve spoken to has been kind, professional, and helpful. My philosophy? If you’re respectful and follow the rules (which is not asking much), you’ll get that same energy right back. Some people will always find something to complain about, but honestly, Crunch is an amazing place to work out if you bring good vibes and gym etiquette

I went on opening day and really enjoyed my experience! Things that I loved - the music selection (was a little loud but could have just been that way for opening day), I love that they aren’t playing news on every TV, love that the bathrooms have a sauna, and love that it was lively but not over crowded. The brand new machines were top of the line and so nice!
I hope to see some yoga classes added to the schedule in the future. So excited to have this near me!

All the equipment is new and the layout feels very open. This location does have a Smith machine, all the cable accessories, and some extra free weight stations that I don’t see at other locations. I am deducting a star because of customer experience, because a MANAGER of all people decided to get in the way of my workout for no reason. If someone is doing lunges in a line, it is ridiculously unnecessary to stand in their line of movement to adjust ropes the person isn’t using, especially when you could have done any of the other three things you did in the same room without causing the customer to pause their set and redirect. He actually walked backwards towards me and I thought for a second he was going to walk right into me. Lacking such a small and simple awareness of others is worrisome, and if a manager does it, you can only assume the staff is being trained to act the same.

Facility is amazing. Been going to the gym for over 20 years and I can say they have every piece of equipment you can think of. I took away 2 stars for two reasons. There should be an intro etiquette course for when you first sign up to teach people how to clean machines and re-rack weights. It blows my mind how little people know in terms of etiquette and a nice new facility can quickly go to looking run down and disorganized because of this very reason. My second qualm with the gym is not allowing filming of any sort. Austin is a city filled with fitness people and ppl who vlog. Allowing this to happen is a win win for the gym bc imagine the reach from this free marketing. For this very reason is why I didn’t sign up. I have a membership at Golds Gym (Burnet is my home base), would have loved to cancel and come here as my home base since I live in South Austin. This is why places with no air conditioning (Lift ATX) and Burnet Golds is so successful even though you pay double the price for membership. Good luck to them though.

Opening day a success for crunch southpark meadows, best floor layout at any crunch ive seen so far , and this location leaves a little room to breath between machines , which is a pain point in my opinion for the other crunch gyms in the area. All the machines you could want plus many extra , and even in many cases double of a machine ( reduced wait times and increased availability ) surprisingly was not busy? i'm sure that will change after this 5 star review. The temperature of the gym was a little hotter than i would of expected , but i actually didnt mind it - was able to get a sweat going easier. Give whoever created the floor plan for this gym a raise. 👍
