Angela Arrezeta looked me dead in the face and told me the only way I could capitalize on the discount to my bill she invited me to gym to pay this morning was if I created a new bank account.

This gym has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, both as a member and as a former employee. The environment is unprofessional, dismissive, and extremely poorly managed.

During my time working here, multiple serious issues were brought to management’s attention by both staff and members, and nothing was addressed. A major ongoing problem was the freezing temperatures inside the building. The front desk had cold air blowing directly onto employees for entire shifts, and the dress code didn’t allow any real way to stay warm. I repeatedly left work shivering, even during the summer, and there was no concern or flexibility given to employees dealing with it.

There were also situations involving my personal circumstances that were handled in ways that felt incredibly inappropriate. Information that should have remained private was discussed without my involvement, and the way certain events were portrayed later on was wildly inaccurate and unprofessional. I eventually had to go through a formal review process with the state to clear up those inaccuracies, and the final decision confirmed that I had done nothing wrong. That alone should tell you how poorly internal matters are managed at this location.

I was never given any kind of written warning, performance conversation, or notice that my job was at risk. In fact, the only issue ever discussed with me involved an unexpected car emergency. Other than that, communication from management was minimal. There was an instance where I was refused a break when I was visibly sick, and beyond that, leadership spent most of their time hidden away rather than supervising or supporting staff.

The overall culture is toxic and disorganized. Employees are pressured to sell memberships in ways that feel misleading, the training is incomplete at best, and concerns are ignored. The facility itself is not well maintained. The women’s locker room, in particular, was consistently dirty and felt neglected by the cleaning schedule.

To anyone considering working here or joining as a member: be aware that this location does not prioritize honesty, professionalism, or basic respect for employees or customers. Significant improvements in management and operations are desperately needed.

So crowded. Wait in line to use a a machine. They allow members to bring a guest every visit so basically they give away free memberships. A man found sleeping in the women’s locker room. I canceled my membership months ago and they continued to charge me. When I called the manager said she could see I had not been there in a year but they went through a system update and some of the cancellations received online did not work correctly. But refused to refund my money. This place is a waste of time, never enough staff, not clean, plus you stand in line more than you workout.

The gym itself is fine they charged me $30 for a membership this month even though I’ve lived out of town for 3 months. When I called them and told them I don’t live there anymore they asked for proof that I was no longer living in town and I sent it and they never responded and still charged me. When I asked for my money back they said they couldn’t give it back because it hadn’t been 30 days since I requested to cancel so they still charged me even though I put in a request. Pain in the ass to cancel a membership just don’t sign up.

Yes, any Crunch Fitness you go to can be crowded especially if you go after work. Weekend and Sundays are the best days to go. As you can see in the picture, there are lots of spaces to work out. The cleanliness of bathrooms was addressed!
The front desk is also very helpful. If you have questions or need assistance, Joshua is there to help.

Machines are always out of service, restrooms are always extremely dirty & disgusting. Locker room is terrible. Bike room has been closed for over 6 months now. It’s ridiculous. Only reason why I have my membership is to stretch there before work & that’s even a pain cause the stretch zone is always packed.

This is a smaller gym in comparison to what i have been to previously. There is only 1 piece of equipment per type of equipment. There is almost always a wait to use the machine.
I will say that the employees who works the front area are very friendly, thankfully. Restroom & locker room have always been clean.

To the reviews below. I'm quite astonished to say the least that the men's restroom was deportable in terms of looking like a homeless shelter. You have to scan again just to use the hydro bed. No not even planet fitness does this. Probably worth noting that it's not a gym I wanna go to because the parking lot is used up by other businesses and that's not far. They should have crunch windshield stickers so everyone knows it's for that gym.

Gym still hasn't changed still shitty and the people there do not care.

They will falsify documents, then lie about it. My husband cancelled membership in July. They stated policy required 30 day notice. So that August would be last payment. Come September and they again drafted payment. I called the office and rude gentleman left me hold for like 10 minutes then said my husband had cancelled the end of August. That is a blatant lie. He said he has the document signed, however my husband didn’t sign anything, the girl just typed something in the computer and said that was it. Then when I asked for the manger he said he was the manager and no one else could change it. When I inquired further he was an assistant manager. It’s not the $27 it’s the point that they are lying, falsifying documents, and taking zero accountability. This is the location on Bandera Rd, but if this is the corporate culture, I’d stay clear of all

“I really like the bathroom and studio lighting here — there’s definitely potential to elevate. The only missing piece is mirrors in the functional spaces. The stretch/core area, HIIT Zone, and resistance machine area don’t have mirrors, which makes it tough to check posture, alignment, and form. Even adding mirrors across one wall in each of those areas would make a huge difference — and if the gym went above and beyond with more coverage, it would take this location to another level.

Otherwise, the staff is top tier — every single employee I met greeted me with a smile and a kind word, and that’s what makes me want to keep coming back.”

Update: i reached out via email as they asked and never heard back.

really love this gym and all the classes. But the child care is not good. My daughters were happy and excited to be there and an hr later my 2 year old was so sad she didn't speak the whole ride home. She told me she got pinched the whole time. My 4 year old said she got slapped. I know it's impossible to watch every little thing but the change in my 2 year old was heart wrenching and I felt so guilty. I won't be bringing my kids back because I don't feel comfortable with knowing they could be bullied the entire time im working out. They are in daycare so this was an unusual and unacceptable incident.

Moved here recently. Cleanliness: Been at this gym various times in the morning to see dirty bathrooms and stalls without toilet paper. They really need to hire a dedicated cleaner instead of relying on their staff. Amenities: This one is on the older side but it's got what a gym should have. Crowd: Now that college is back in session, the crowd has lessened. Instructors: I have only experienced Joe C and he is great! Parking: It's in a big lot, depending on the crowd you may have to walk but you will find a spot. Convenience: There is an HEB nearby.

I want to shout out the staff at the Bandera location. The front desk personnel: Carlo, who greets me by name, Denise, who is an incredibly hard worker, and Ava, always so friendly and smiling. It’s nice to be greeted warmly when you walk in. Also, I’ve taken group classes and the instructors are excellent; specifically Cathy and Frankie. They make me want to come back each week. My personal trainer, Chris, is also so professional and attentive to my medical limitations, and pushes me to continue improving. Other personal trainers have approached me in the gym to compliment my form or to just let me know they noticed my improvement. The equipment is varied and maintained. I don’t use the locker room. Thanks, Crunch, for hiring some winners!

This gym sucks. Their payment system seems like a scam. I’ve been charged double multiple times and every time I try to call them to resolve it they keep telling me “oh it’s a bank issue” but when I call the bank the bank tells me “oh it’s the merchant side” regardless who’s in charge, this gym has stolen money from me and just used it towards my monthly fee without asking me if it was ok to do so. Trash gym. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Edit: I have emailed this place 5 times in the past week. They do not check their emails what so ever. The only way this “place of business” will actually listen is in person.

The place on Bandera rd is always busy to do anything but cardio. Its small compared to most others gyms. Bathrooms are terrible. Filthy , smell like a port a potty, Now this week they removed all the step up platforms from the floor. Actually locked them up with a cable.
I asked why was told by someone at front desk, Believer her name is Frankie , because someone damaged one, so they punish everyone. The manager Andrew always seems to disappear or be at a meeting,

Only organized classes can use the step ups. We have a year membership set to expire August 20th. So we will endure the place for another month. But we are already looking move on.

Would not recommend this place try find somewhere else to go.

Is wanting to make a public service announcement, there is a gentleman and a lady there that there that are super aggressive super unprofessional. And the guy was harassing me asking to stop and you would not stop. And he was moving forward towards me in aggressive manner and making me feel uncomfortable. They were embarrassed to me in front of everybody. I will make sure to speak to their corporate office and make sure this matter gets handled appropriately. I will redo the post with the names of the people that were harass me at the gym. Today, making me feel less than a person. Embarrass me to my core. Cancelled my membership months ago, just to see they started a new contract without me knowing. Only reason I found out was because my bank was charged $74 for the annual fee I Called to see if I can get a refund they said no and that they didn’t have record of me coming In to cancel. Had to come in today wasting my time to cancel my membership again. Please make sure when you cancel you get an email or a printed receipt before you leave. They will take your money! Here on the bandera location. They will probably reply to this saying “we’re sorry or what can we do to help”. You’re not sorry. And what you can do is give me my money back you thieves.

I pay extra for childcare which is almost always too booked to use. There is NO space to workout. Machines are taken, floor space is occupied. Set up in the room used for classes today then had an instructor (Frankie) tell me there is a class starting soon, when I noted it wasn’t on the board outside she got an attitude and pointed to a printed paper with it written in small print. The whole encounter was the tipping point for me cancelling my membership today. I’m tired of paying for a membership and working out in a corner.

Front desk staff is kind. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean.

I love it, only thing is.... I'm huge on the kids area. If I'm paying and I'm supposed to be getting childcare while I workout, I expect to be able to receive those benefits. Unfortunately that was not the case. I would get my child ready and myself, and HOPEFULLY I'll be able to get my child in. I didn't like that. Too many trainers standing around and only 1 childcare employee. I got tired of paying for services and not even able to workout because they didn't have any openings for my child. Once they get that taken care of, I be back.

Great Location unbearable environment 24/7.

I’ve been coming to this Crunch almost daily for over 2 years and really do appreciate some of the staff and how close to home it is. But the overall environment is becoming impossible to enjoy because of how the training staff handles music and group classes…especially with it already having severe overcrowding; where people are standing behind you learning against the wall for you to move. Sometimes when I have time Ive stayed for nearly 2 plus hours trying to finish up.

I’ve asked multiple times for the music volume to be lowered—it’s often blasting to the point where it’s hard to focus. On top of that, trainers regularly bring out separate speakers for their own playlists, use microphones, and run full-on group classes right in front of the main equipment area and set up the treadmill and stair climbing as part of their routine. Add in a cowbell and overlapping music tracks, and it turns into pure chaos. I’ve even invested in new headphones thinking it’s just me.

I understand and respect that people enjoy group workouts, but there’s a designated group room for that and close the door…Doing these classes in the middle of the gym blocks equipment and creates a frustrating, overwhelming atmosphere for everyone else. Yall wanna run around with a cow bell; go do that in the big lots parking lot not in
everyone’s way.

The other day I walked out after 5 minutes . I just couldn’t deal with it. Crunch has the potential to be a great gym, but the way this is being handled makes it really hard to stick with. I really hope something better opens up I cant stand LA Fitness or Golds either!

Always had autopay for which it comes off my card every month on the 26th for last month and this month
When I called last month they kept saying I was good everything was paid but I seen no money from crunch come out.

When it did come out I had a late fee and called and got it waved

It did it again this time and I called it said active again so I called and it fully took out 50 dollars instead of my 30

When I called the employee had an attitude which is very rude because she also made it seem like I didn’t have money or I was being dramatic I asked for a manger and she didn’t want to get them at first saying they will tell me the same thing and than had me on hold and I didn’t put myself on mute I said and I’ll call back and she said this is the last time we will wave the late payment and honestly i been going there for a while no problem yall need to fix the attitude and to think I just had an interview there I’m not working there

I opened a membership in early August 2024. I did not visit much until March 2025, though. From March-April the cleanliness was very subpar. I workout in the morning before work and I rinse off after. But it was almost so gross that I nearly opened a membership at a different gym.

However, in May they must have hired a new janitorial crew because the cleanliness improved massively. The bathroom floor are much cleaner, the sinks are wiped down, and the shower heads work! It has been a much more enjoyable experience.

The equipment works nearly all the time and the staff has been more friendly lately. I'm honestly enjoying my experience nowadays, compared to the beginning. Hope to renew in August!

I joined Crunch in Plano, TX. The gym in Plano is well equipped. Both the Plano and Bandera gym have only 1 shoulder press machine, so you have to wait sometimes to use it. In Plano they have 3 fixed, seated shoulder press chairs you can do dumbbell shoulder presses in. In Bandera there are none and their standard flat benches you can adjust to an upright position, result in a high back past ones head, not good for shoulder presses. Went to do triceps on cables, and Bandera doesn't have the standard V shaped tricep bar. They do have some tricep handle bars for cables, but they aren't the same. This is the 1st gym I've been in that don't have these tricep bars. The gym is clean and comfortable.

I just moved here to San Antonio and was looking for a gym. Huge mistake coming to this one. The gym is always packed, no exaggeration, literally all times of the day. Sometimes waiting over 20-30mins to get a set in. I would say 60-70% of all equipment needs some type of repair from cables being loose, benches feeling wobbly, or even cardio machines making loud noises. Mens rest room is always a mess makes me wonder if they even have a cleaning team at that facility. Multiple times I have been to the gym and the rest room is flooded with toilet water. Only 2 great things about this gym is the Staff and its open 24hrs. I want to cancel but cant because then give them a 30 day notice. (BS on the no contract no commitments). Biggest mistake coming here, should have used my money else where. If you are considering this gym, don't.

I waited the 60 days and tried to cancel again, but they said I have to pay $95 in order to cancel. I’ve only gone once in the whole two months, it shouldn’t be this difficult to cancel a gym membership!

Had the same issues like other people.
Overcrowding is the main issue at this location.

I just today canceled my membership with 0 problems, but about a year ago, I had signed up for a promo they were doing for I think it was 1 dollar for 3 months or something and when joining the gym there, I specifically asked if I was gonna have to pay a fee if I want to cancel early and was told no. The dude lied and I tried canceling 4 months after joining. The manager told me I had to pay 100$ to cancel. Turns out they put me under a contract without informing me that's what the promo was at the time. 0 mention of it on their advertising. The staff was great but the manager was something else. I can't remember every detail unfortunately at the time I was frustrated with being lied to, but 1 year later I just went in and canceled with a regular staff member with no issues.

For context: I spent the year at the Marbach location. It's smaller and closes at 11pm. It doesn't have any overcrowding issues that I've experienced at this one.

I should add that crunch does have the option to change your main gym. But sadly I tried this twice at the marbach location to have it be my main gym instead of Bandera, but it never worked. Which Is why I gave up and decided to leave crunch all together

Gym equipment is fine, staff is fine, but like the other complaints, very crowded gym. The bring a guest is the problem. Which it is a great feature, but my gosh it’s crowded. I had come to this location before I had gotten a membership as a guest. And I basically was able to just walk in and not have to check in or anything. I kind of waited around for an employee to tell me to check in but didn’t happen. So maybe ppl know that they can just walk in the gym. Also the sauna is not hot at all and the door doesn’t even shut all the way (woman’s sauna)

THEY WILL STEAL MONEY FROM YOU!

My wife canceled her membership due to how crowded this place gets. She tried going after work and at 4 am. She decided that this spot was not for her. Several weeks after canceling her membership, we were charged for another month. I thought it must have been a clerical error but was informed that this is their standard practice.

One month later, we were charged another months membership fee and an additional $15 late fee!

When the manager refused to refund the charges, I asked to speak with her boss, and she informed me that she was the manager and I could not speak with her boss.

I had to call my bank and put a stop payment on their account. There's another $35.

Please do NOT give this place your money. They have no problem stealing it from their current members.

Bathrooms are always disgusting. Like always. Trash everywhere, very dirty facilities. Sauna works half the time, very poorly built. There’s boards coming up on the seats in the sauna and the door doesn’t even close without jamming it shut to not let the heat out. Doesn’t really ever get that hot either like you’d expect. Gym users wear socks with no shoes to work out which is extremely disgusting. And the gym is too crowded for the space. They obviously don’t take into account people vs workout space ratios, their only goal is to sign up as many members as possible regardless, forget the workout experience of being a member here. Signed up for a month and a half. All was good until I decided to cancel the membership. They made me pay a maintenance fee that I wasn’t told about before plus a month’s membership. The lady at the front desk kept repeating that I have to pay although I told her no one ever mentioned the maintenance fee. Avoid cancelling and only sign up if you are keeping your membership.

The music durning the classes are always EXTREMELY LOUD,even with headphones on. It wouldn’t be so bad if the door to room where the classes are taking place aren’t always left open. The bathroom sounds like it’s a freaking club. There is absolutely zero reason why the music should be this loud,I have turned around and left because it is too loud. And the red light therapy beds don’t get cleaned every single time so I just stopped using them.

They are scammers, I'm telling you how: first they told you sign up for free, no need to pay annual fee and first month and after the first month you'll just pay $15.99 each month and you can cancel it anytime, after that this amount turns into $17, when you sign up and sign the agreement the don't show you the main part of the agreement unless you click on it and open a new tab so no body gonna do this, and when you are canceling the the membership they told you, you can't cancel it unless you pay the annual fee $49 or $45 bucks, so you I choose the one that I can cancel it anytime, they said no I sign the agreement and you accept that, that's really disappointing and the second is about canceling the membership: I go there and ask to cancel it they wrote my number and told me someone will can call, after a few days I call them about it and said no you need to come and sign something, are you serious about it...

Scammers. Don’t bother signing up here, I’ve been telling them for months to cancel my membership and I’m home kind on injuries. They don’t care and continue racking up my bill when I haven’t been in like 5 months. I spoke to the manager and even Coporate, neither care. They just keep charging anyway. 0/10, crunch is the only gym that scams me this way. I will not be paying.

I was excited to bring my 8yr old and 1yr old for the first time. When I did the girl at the computer in the kids club already seemed annoyed. I put my son in the play pen (he couldn’t walk yet) and came back after my workout it was my 8yo bringing him to me. She told me he kept crying and said when she asked one of the girls they responded “what do you want me to do?” I never received a call to come and get my child either which I wouldn’t have minded. My 8yo even told me that she had to carry him to the restroom to calm him and herself down because she was overwhelmed. I cried for my children because an 8yo should not be responsible for a baby. When I called management they also didn’t seem to care much either and said they will talk to the employees and see what happened. I highly doubt anything was done. I ended up switching to the San Pedro Crunch and the women there were very caring and reassured everything will be okay. I don’t recommend this location if you have kids.

Updated 2/27/2025 I still love this gym and come here 4-5 times a week. Doesn’t feel as spacious due to lots of members but still works just be patient and wait your turn if a machine is in use. I would recommend a deep clean of saunas and bathrooms although I see people cleaning everytime I come. Also, the leg abduction machine is right outside men’s room and I’ve had people walk into my head when I lean back. That whole row needs more space and there’s not enough leg machines. Same 5 machines are always in demand.

Love it! Tons of machines and a space for everything. Sauna wasn’t open yet

I come to this gym because it’s 24 seven I work a lot so I need something that’s available to me After Hours. The time I came was around 9:30 to 11:30. It is packed as expected with a 24 seven gym and the equipment fairly taken care of. Nothings perfect.
But those locker rooms are tough as in filthy, so I know we all have a common responsibility or courtesy to clean the equipment after we’re done, but I’m not sure if the team is as sterile as they should be after what I saw from the locker room.

Great place and equipment gets serviced regularly for wear and tear.
I dropped two stars off because the staff likes to crank the building music during slow hours or when main management is off. There are times I can hear the music before enter the building, no amount of noise canceling headphones can compete with the volume of the music. When I mention the volume of the music, I laugh that staff members have to lean in so they can hear what I have to say.

It’s unfortunate that the gym owners don’t enforce the “bring a friend for free” policy properly. It’s clear this perk is being abused, and the result is a lot of nonsense happening. Every time I come in, I see people walking in without even scanning their membership cards. Now, even after 11 PM – what should be non-peak hours – the gym is still packed.

On top of that, there are groups of high-school-aged kids just hanging out, barely using the equipment but taking up machines and space. It’s frustrating for those of us who come here to work out seriously.

I highly recommend the owners start addressing this issue, especially since there’s staff on-site 24/7. There should be better enforcement to maintain order and ensure members are getting what they pay for.

I had a similar experience as mentioned from other reviews regarding billing.
As a first-time gym goer, I was incredibly disappointed by my experience with Crunch Fitness and their billing practices. I initially signed up for the $25/month plan with my wife, but the very next day, I inquired about downgrading to the $9.99/month plan. To my surprise, I was told this would require paying four separate annual fees!
Despite this, I continued with the $25/month plan until I lost my job in late August and had to move. I called Crunch and spoke with a supervisor who assured me they could freeze my account for three months without any charges.
Fast forward to today, and my situation hasn't changed, so I called to cancel. I was met with "Andrew," a manager with zero customer service skills, who simply recited policy at me and informed me I was past due. I haven't used the gym in over three months!
This whole experience has been a nightmare. I feel misled and taken advantage of. I refuse to pay these past-due fees, and frankly, this has soured me on the entire gym industry.

My trainer Edwin Palacios is amazing! Very professional and attentive with every single rep. He has helped me with my fitness journey tremendously. Non-judmental and humble.

As for the restrooms... i do have to mention that crunch fitness struggles with that. The same goes for the other location on san pedro. They possibly need someone to check them a little more often because the unpleasant odor is always there.

I called to inquire about an unexpectedly high charge and was treated unprofessionally by the woman who answered—she laughed when I couldn’t recall an employee’s name. Despite reporting this to the next representative, I received no apology or acknowledgment of the poor handling of my call. After this experience, I informed the company that I wouldn’t pay my next bill. Since then, I’ve been receiving almost daily automated payment emails, despite having sent clear communication on where I stand and requesting they stop. I will be filing formal complaints with the DTPA and BBB if the harassment continues.

Don’t recommend, this place is a scam! Signed up for a free trial and was told I could cancel anytime with no commitments. Sounds good right? Well I never used this gym once, never came in because it’s always packed in the parking lot and I ended up getting injured to where I couldn’t even work out. Tried to go in to cancel membership ship and I was told I owe a full month of membership + the annual fee. They had no regards to the fact I never even used the service, was given false information from their own employees, and the fact I got injured. They just want their money and they will do any and everything to get it. Terrible service and way too overrated 👎

Equipment is fine. Plenty of squat racks and dead/oly lifting platforms (especially for a commercial gym). Main gripe about this place is that they allow some “bRINg A fRIenD 4 FrEe” thing with your membership. Would still be a member here if they’d cut this out. WAY too many people here because of it. Listen. Equipment is OK for the most part. Unfortunately the gym is very busy during regular hours and one has to be very lucky to get to use any of the equipment. The only way is to properly enjoy the gym one has to show up very early (6-7 am) or around 11:30 pm or midnight. Also, there's only one water fountain to support the entire facility which is a bit ridiculous unless the object of the game is to make members purchase the bottled water sold at the gym.

It wasn't until I pressed the issue and wouldn't take no for an answer that he finally canceled my membership immediately when a manager came by through exasperated sighs and a tense demeanor. Oversubscribed. Crowded at 10pm. Was able to squeeze into a squat rack. The equipment is good, but the squat racks are spaced a bit too closely for comfort / safety. Difficult to find dumbells in the popular range of 22.5lbs - 27.5lbs during this time. Leg press machines completely not available with people lining up waiting. Four, maybe five stars if you are an early bird, willing to be there at midnight, or willing to line up making what should be an hour workout into two hours. Not worth it for the the annual + initial + monthly fee. Be wary of the upfront costs.

I am going to preface this review by saying that I really enjoyed coming to this gym and it did in fact help with a lot of my fitness goals. I’m going to list out all my pros and cons, but if you’re curious why I still only rated it at 2 stars then skip the pros and cons and jump to the all caps “however”
PROS:
Staffed 24/7
Plenty of cardio machines
No commitment plans
Nautilus machines are excellent
Real time capacity meter
Diverse classes
Polite staff(when the want to be)
A diamond in the rough community
CONS:
Too many cardio machines
No commitment plans cost more
Hoist machines feel like toys
Peak hours are packed to the brim
Temperature regulation is awful
Bathrooms are always warm and smelly
Paper towel dispensers always empty
Poor spacial use
Small group of rude community members.

These are just some of my pros and cons from personal experience. Crunch gym is plagued with the same issues faced at any commercial “for the masses” gym.

HOWEVER, you will all do well not to forget that this is a business and above all, even before their “Crunch Family” mantra, profit is their number one goal.
I say this because I recently received an email full of the typical corpo speak, about a SINGULAR missed payment(I recently got a new card after a breach.) In which is was told I must pay my past dues of ONE $20 payment to “prevent your account from going to collections, which can affect your credit score.”
They say family goes out the window when money is involved and I guess the “Crunch Family” is no different.
No polite first notice, just immediately come pay your dues or we go after your credit score. If I had months or even years worth of past dues then I would completely understand but it was ONE missed payment.
If they had simply left out the highlighted section of the email in the attached photo then I would have gone about it as the email requested to update my information, but the mere mention of Collections and Credit Scores is not at all civil.
You can perceive the email however you want but to me it was highly inappropriate to mention such things right away.
Needless to say I will not be coming back to Crunch Fitness and will be recommending to anyone who asks not to go there either.

I've had numerous billing issues with this gym. I had to switch multiple cards, was charged double, and had two accounts in my first month. Refunds took up to 30 days, and canceling my membership was a hassle due to constant late fee notifications. Despite confirming card changes, they still charged the incorrect card.

The gym itself is well-kept but always busy. The main problem is the lack of trust with my accounts and money. A representative blamed me for late fees despite automatic payments and valid card confirmations. When I tried to resolve the issues, I was promised a call from a manager that never came. The representatives were nice, but the billing problems persisted month after month.

My husband and I joined about a month ago. The gym is very clean and staff is very friendly for the most part. The price of the top tier membership is a good deal when you factor in the classes + hydromassage and guest privileges. Unfortunately it's TOO good of a deal lol I have the crunch app and try to monitor when the gym is the least busy. Hint: it's ALWAYS busy 😭. Even when the app says the crowd is "light" you can show up and there will not be a single bench available and a wait for machines. Forget ever trying to get a work in after work, it is disgustingly busy. Our hack now is to try and go before 6 am but even then it seems pretty busy now. Unfortunately it makes sense and it's not the gyms fault. I just wish there were at least some more benches somehow. It seems like a common complaint amongst reviewers.

Crunch Gym Fitness on Bandera is a solid choice for gym-goers. The gym is very clean and has tons of equipment. While it can get crowded, their Crunch Fitness app helps you track how busy it is, which is a great feature. I switched from Gold’s Gym, which was always way too crowded, and found Crunch to be a better fit.

If you want a low-key workout, pick your times carefully—right before noon or very early mornings are best. However, after 5 p.m. is a nightmare, so fair warning there.

The staff is great, and the price is fair. I have the advanced plan, which is about $30 a month, and it’s worth it for the cleanliness and the amenities.

Overall, I love Crunch Fitness. They have awesome activities, tons of equipment, and a friendly staff. My girlfriend is interested in Pilates, and they have plenty of classes and options like boxing bags and free weights. I’m glad more Crunch Fitness locations are popping up because these other gyms just don’t compare.

Went back to the gym at 6:30pm Monday and there was not one piece of available equipment other than a treadmill and stair master.
I waited 30 minutes and saw people lining up to use machines. Another member said this location is always crowded unless you workout before 6am. Since then I have tried 3 more times and again so many people and no equipment available to use. Huge mistake purchasing this membership.

Mondays, Wednesdays Friday - Awful unless you have weekdays off and workout early (before 3pm)

No commitment or contract? There’s still an annual fee which is unavoidable and a signup fee - Unavoidable without a promo. The base package is a contract/commitment.

I’m locked in for many more months of waiting to use equipment surrounded by 200 ppl.
