Absolutely love Crunch Gym, but this location is by far the best. The gym is always clean, bathrooms always clean and the gym doesn’t smell like sweat.

All the employees here are always willing to help and answer question’s. Front desk staff are always welcoming, greeting you when you walk in and leave.

Huge shout out to Alex Hope. She was so amazing that I actually mistook her for a manager. Hey crunch, you got an amazing employee in her. Promote her!

Fine gym if you don't have problems, but horrid customer service and impossible to deal with if you do.

I was charged for 2 memberships for 6 months and the gym never fixed the problem, despite me going in 4 times in person to resolve the issue. I cancelled my membership in person in May and have proof of cancellation, but they continue to charge my card for a membership. I have reached out multiple times via email, phone, and their online support system, but never get a response. I have had to dispute the charge every month with my bank.

I got an unsolicited text from one of their trainers last week asking about my 'membership', which means they know there is still an account with my name attached.

If you don't mind months of frustration, they have weights and cardio equipment so you can work out

Update Nov 2025:
The gym continues to charge me for a membership. I have tried to block the charge with my bank, but Crunch ended up charging me from the Allen location. After calling both the East Plano and Allen locations, neither of them could find my 'active account'. Both asked if I had an account for a girlfriend or someone else, which I don't. Obviously, my card is tied to someone else's account but they refuse to find it. This is despite knowing which day the charge happens and the card number. I will continue to dispute the charge and update this post until it is resolved.

On Thanksgiving day, I wanted to get a lift in before I go on with my day. I wanted to use my guest pass on my partner, who has a Crunch membership at another location. Joe refused to let him in, stating their tiny print rule “guests and members have to come in at the same time”. I literally came in 10 minutes before he did. I’ve never had a problem using my guest pass this way before at any other locations. The fact that this happened on Thanksgiving ruined my day. I’ve been a member at the highest tier for almost a year, with 5 people I’ve convinced to get a membership. It really shows that this gym’s employees cares more about getting as much money as possible than their current members. I’m absolutely heartbroken that me and my boyfriend were treated by Crunch this way on a day I’m supposed to feel thankful.

Overall, the gym is great, and the staff I’ve interacted with have been friendly and professional. My only concern arises during peak hours, typically after standard 9–5 work hours, when the locker rooms become crowded and the changing rooms are often occupied—which is understandable.

However, I’ve noticed on several occasions that some staff members or trainers use the changing rooms for purposes other than changing. Recently, I observed two staff members (one from the front desk and one trainer) occupying a single changing room together for an extended period, which made it difficult for members like myself to use the space when in a rush.

It would be appreciated if staff could avoid using the changing rooms to lounge and chat in there during busy hours so members have full access when needed.

I originally swapped here because the prices were good and I heard about their sauna included with the basic package and sure enough it is really good. I feel like a sauna that gets better ( repairs, cleanliness, temperature) is the mark of a better gym than one where it just kinda stays the same and slowly gets dirtier.

Today I wrote the review just because the facilities guy was cleaning the water station and offered to let me use the water, and then repeat his clean, and I feel like that usually goes invisible other than God seeing a kind tiny deed you know.

Great location, great instructors. If you are looking to get into some hot yoga, I highly recommend looking into classes taught by Ada P. or Anett M. Both yogis are exceptional at guiding you through your practice while pushing you to keep developing. If you are looking for a group fitness course, Phena is phen-omenal. This is the second time a trainer has invaded my workout space without asking. Unfortunately, it seems they believe that just because they are trainers, they can do whatever they want without showing respect. Their ego is way too high, and it makes the experience very uncomfortable for regular members. Incredibly frustrating and extremely complicated cancellation process. Unless you intend to remain a member for eternity, pick a different gym.

I called and they told me to cancel in person. I went in person, but was told I couldn’t cancel for another month. However I told them I would be out of town and they stated they would transfer me.
A month later, the gym I was “transferred to” didn’t have me in their system.
I called this gym again, and the employee didn’t know how to cancel and asked me to call them back in 15 mins.
I called them back, but they said everyone was busy and I was put on hold. They then proceeded to hang up.
I called one last time and they finally emailed me confirmation of cancellation.

The equipment itself is fine and I enjoyed my time in the gym. It’s really disappointing that the company/employees become extremely predatory or incompetent as soon cancellation is mentioned.

Saw another review saying a customer kept being charged after cancellation confirmation. Can only pray that doesn’t happen.

The Manager Joe is a really rude employee at this gym. Everyone else I've interacted with is really kind, but Joe in particular acts as if he's above everyone else. I tried to use the massage chairs as a guest and he required me to sign up to use them even just once.

Additionally, I joined for 1 week and decided to cancel and of course he was there when I decided to cancel it. He gives me very vague responses and says he'll cancel it. We both sign off on the iPad and I didn't get any confirmation. I had a feeling he didn't actually cancel my membership, so I called back a few days later when someone else was working there and they were able to cancel it and I got an email.

He acts with incredibly bad faith and is very deceiving. I don't know how the other staff puts up with him. I cancelled my membership because of him. What a horrible human being.

You get a one star for me cause y’all are giving me such a hard time. Just trying to cancel my membership. I called ask what I had to do to get it canceled. I was instructed to come into the store. This is a typical workout facility. They offer a wide variety of classes and equipment to use for exercising. This gym has become very busy several days of the week and therefore people have to wait for machines to use, not to mention a lot of people are on their phones and sitting on the equipment way too long. The bathrooms are always dirty, trash all over, toilets hardly ever flushed. Unfortunately their are some disgusting people at the gym and I never see management posting signs about hygiene or cleanliness. Management needs to do a better job of walking around and making sure people are not abusing the equipment or trashing the place and the equipment maintenance needs to be much better and more timely, sometimes the equipment is down for several weeks. You can definitely get a good workout at crunch in east plano if you can get through the broken equipment, lack of gym etiquette and trashy people.

Barbell classes, there are people who don't reserve a spot and still get into the class, and it's not fair for the people who do reserve space. Yesterday in the barbell class there were more than 25 people and there wasn't enough equipment for everyone. I think there should be more control to check the people who do reserve a spot and kick out those who didn't. If not, change the method to first come first served!

If you’re looking for a gym, steer clear of this location & their predatory staff. All they care about is getting you to sign up for memberships that they go to extreme lengths to do so. They told my 15 year old daughter that she couldn’t get a 1 day trial yet they were able to sign her up for a .01 cent membership to let her in when she was already given a membership companion card with us, her 2 paying parents. They’d rather lose out on future revenue due to their extreme greed. When we showed up to talk to the so called night shift manager Jesus, whom tried to solicit my teenage minor to a contract, he so cowardly wouldn’t speak with us when we were right there. Read through the rest of this location’s negative reviews will turn up Jesus’ name repetitively.

Again, go across the street to the new EOS fitness facility that just opened up. You’ll be greeted with better customer service than this company provides.

I was in need of a new gym because Planet Fitness closed my gym, Texas Family Fitness last month.

Pro’s:
Brand new/very nice
Plenty of equipment and options
Lots of duplicate dumbbells
Staff is great!! (Aidan is my guy!)
Benches are fixed in place so people can’t move them around
If you pay for the more expensive membership, you get access to the massage chairs, hydro massage beds, and the cryo lounge chair which are nice

Con’s:
VERY busy if you come in the evenings but that’s not specifically
a Crunch problem (the mornings around 7am are not crowded at all)

All in all, it’s a really nice gym, and I would recommend them.

Dear Crunch Management,
I previously visited the gym and spoke with Manager Joe regarding the membership. I was informed that the first month would be 1 cent, the following months would be $35, and there would be a one-time $60 annual fee for the use of materials. Based on this information, I signed up on August 12, and Joe assisted me with the registration.
However, one week later, I noticed that I was charged $35. I decided to speak with Joe again. He told me that although he had originally mentioned the 1 cent promotion, he did not apply it to my membership, and apologized. I became concerned because I felt that Joe acted in bad faith, knowing that I am an international student unfamiliar with U.S. contracts, and took advantage of my lack of experience.
I then wanted to cancel my membership. Joe told me that even though I had barely used the gym, I would need to pay the $60 material fee and two months of membership in order to cancel. I found this unreasonable, so I decided not to proceed with the cancellation, thinking I could continue using the gym at another location, as I felt intimidated and misled by Joe.
Despite my decision not to continue, $129 was withdrawn from my bank account. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue.

I really like this gym for the quality and cleanliness and most of the staff. My 1st complaint would be because when i changed my personal training plan they continued to charge me for the old one after charging me for the new one.. for about 3 extra charges ): the switch happened back in may.. its august and im still waiting for my refund check so i am short of almost $1k which i think.... is a lot of money 😅. Its a commercial gym so they will try to get you to post stuff, like this post! But they wont get away with a 5 star that easy. Also i brought my parents and they made one pay $16 for a day pass (they live 4 hours away and never visit!!!) ): like i come here every week and chat and and see yall multiple times a week for months; i never complain but its still policy.. i guess i cant expect much if its commercial and cool exceptions due to good relationship/loyalty doesnt exist when youre trying to make money🤷‍♀️.

There is plenty of equipment BUT there never seems to be enough hand equipment available in workout areas. At 4:00 weekdays you have 15 trainers hanging around up front, can they not take a stroll through the gym and check each station and supply it with equipment? Like the HIIT room never has mats and foam rollers were gone. Instead of me having that at my disposal and getting into my workout I have to go hunt down mats , hand weights and rollers and anything else I need/want to workout with and that should be on the shelves there. Each station/area should be stocked around the clock with equipment not me hunting them down.

Treadmills seem to be out of service more often now.

Also, mats in the lobby area would be a good idea when it rains, that flooring is very slick.

And a greeting that includes my name would be great! I know you have a big customer base but when I check in my name pops up on your screen, acknowledging me by name is a nice touch. I've had that only a couple times when I've checked in but it was very friendly and welcoming. Doesn't take much.

Had a pretty bad experience with Aidan. He comes off as nice, but is purely sales focused. He doesn’t seem to genuinely care about the customer.

He charged me for a (free) day pass, and proceeded to leave himself a positive review on my own phone without telling me what he was doing. He also continuously tried to upsell me. Standard gym staff behavior I guess 🤷🏽‍♂️

Anyway, if you need a gym it’s a nice place to work out. Just don’t trust Aidan 🙂‍↔️

I love the people!! Bailey worked to find the very best plan for me and connect me to the perfect people. Aiden was super helpful, encouraging, and greets me by name everyday. Emerson is a phenomenal trainer, so intuitive! He taught me so much and works with my injuries and helps me avoid future injuries. He is very intent on exactly what the clients needs and goals are. Educating and encouraging all the way!! What a great team!!!

Since day one, 3 months ago I have had nothing but positive experiences at this gym. First of all, the staff at this particular location are the absolute best. Specifically Noah, he has always been very welcoming, kind and overall a great person to be greeted by at the front desk. The rest of the staff have also been so kind and supportive. Almost every time a staff member will greet me by my name- which is awesome! I feel seen and I appreciate it a lot.

And don’t get me started on Anna! She is my first personal trainer ever and I am so impressed. She’s helped me with mapping out my goals, meeting goals and pushing harder than I ever have. She’s helped me around injures and I am so comfortable with her! She is one of the most kind, patient and motivating people I know. Trust, she’s the best!

I’ve been to the other crunch locations but I have to say that the east Plano one is by far my favorite for the staff, hot yoga, Zumba and cycling classes. The instructors are insanely motivational, patient and so kind.

I don’t think the other crunch locations can compare to the fellowship and chemistry between the team members and how they present themselves at work. Even the trainers, they are always rooting each other on. I love it, and as someone who works at a different gym, it’s rare to find a place like east Plano crunch❤️❤️❤️ almost every guest I have brought has purchased a membership. As a college student, I have the peak membership and also pay for personal training. It’s definitely pricey but it’s a new part of my routine, something I don’t see myself giving up. It’s so worth it!
