I liked this gym at first, but it needs to get it together. First which i had put aside for awhile the manager (Angel/Angle, eyebrow piercing) is rude and comes off super full of himself—honestly seems like he’s compensating for something, which isn’t a good look for the brand which reading previous reviews is a recurring thing.
Second: How is a gym going to run with no employees? On Sunday there was no one at front for hours...how does that happen?
Third: Some of equipments the times I visited were broken.( okay this might not be completely gyms fault though)
That being said this might be 3minutes away from my job, but with all that I rather just take the 20min or so drive to the Katy one because this isn't it for a "new" gym.

Moved it up a two star because of Maria in the morning. Now that's someone who should represent the company and this other girl who works there in the morning too she where's glasses. I'll edit this once I get the name, but hands down they make going to gym enjoyable. From the warm welcome to quickly helping with a question or to set up a seat for a massage chair and they always seem like they enjoy being there. So hands down those two deserve a manager position 👏

WARNING: DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM — READ THIS FIRST

I am absolutely furious with how this gym operates. I wasn’t even a member for 3 months, barely used the place, and when I tried to cancel, they hit me with a $64 annual fee BEFORE they would even process my cancellation.

This fee was NEVER mentioned when I signed up. I was told I could freeze my account or cancel anytime, which was clearly a lie.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, now they’re telling me I have to give a 30-day notice, and they’re trying to charge me for another full month, even though I’m literally trying to cancel right now. So not only do they want $64, they also want to lock me in for another month of payments.

This is crazy, misleading, and feels like a total scam. They wait until you try to leave before telling you about all these hidden fees and “rules” that were never explained up front.

PLEASE read this before you sign up. The cancellation process is a trap. They will charge you for fees you were never told about and make it extremely difficult to leave.

Terrible, dishonest, and absolutely not worth your money.

Whoever was scheduled to work the overtime shift between nov 25-26 need to be let go…..they were no where in sight all night…..can use the recovery room because no one was ever at the desk….same song playing over and over got really annoying….can purchase a drink because there’s no one at the desk to check you out! Banged on the break room door but there was no answer……looked everywhere in the gym and not a staff member in sight very frustrating

This place is an absolute joke. They shut down the Sugar Land location, yet they continue charging me for a membership I CAN’T EVEN USE. When I asked for a refund, they gave me the most ridiculous excuse saying “oh, that location isn’t connected to us” seriously? The location is permanently closed, and there is no phone number, no support, no accountability, NOTHING.

They keep taking people’s money and refuse to help. Nobody cares, nobody tries, and honestly it feels like they’re just hoping customers give up.

They charged me twice in one month! I originally signed up during their pre-opening promotion, but later they made me sign up again and then claimed that HR lost my paperwork. When I got charged twice and asked about it, they had the nerve to ask why I had two memberships, like I’m the one running the gym and it’s somehow my fault 🤣. Pretty stupid, not gonna lie.

On top of that, the equipment is always packed on weekdays, so it’s hard to get a turn.

P.S. I got charged again this month even though they assured me I wouldn’t have to pay the extra membership fee. Honestly, the service is terrible, and I’m fed up with not being taken seriously. If they charge me again next month, I’m canceling this dumb membership.

I really love this gym they treat me so good every time I walk through those doors and the energy in there is immaculate honestly and I feel like I get a good deal because the massage chairs are so good and I only pay $30 a month. where if I would’ve went somewhere elsewhere, it would’ve been way more. And I love the staff they always try to keep the restrooms clean and the machines clean. They do a very good job hard-working people. I always like the energy they give I feel seen when I walk through the door. There hasn’t been a day where I walked in that gym and I wasn’t happy 10 out of 10. I recommend this gym is awesome.

If you want to cancel your membership, you have to send them an email like it's 1999. They will then ignore your emails and continue charging you anyway. The gym itself is fine (hence two stars and not one), but the people running this franchise are the dirtiest, sleaziest people you'll ever meet in a service based industry and I would avoid talking to any of their employees like a plague if you plan to exercise here.

Everything is pretty good over all after almost 2 months open, but definitely woman bathrooms needs more attention to be a new gym. There is a super nice blk guy who I always see him cleaning and walking around making sure everything is good, even going out the man lockers all the time but I don’t see people taking care of women spaces. I always find toilet paper all over the floors, water splashes in the mirrors, soup stains around and it just doesn’t look good. The sani wipes are out most of the time plus some guys needs to start wearing deodorant and cleaning equipment after using them, specially young folks, the sweat drops and smell are insane, jeeeeezz. (I understand this is not the gym fault)

Man i dont usually leave reviews, but this experience really rubbed me the wrong way. One of the upper managers (Angel) acted like he was above everyone else and tried to show his authority instead of helping.

First, he gave me false information — telling me that my 12-year-old son couldn’t even come in unless he was a member himself. When I asked to speak to upper management to verify, he said he was upper management and that it was his gym and his rules.

Something felt off, so I called another Crunch Fitness location to double-check. The manager there was great — he actually verified the policy with the district manager and confirmed that my son could come in as long as i signed all waivers and what not...which i did weeks ago. I came back and shared that info, but Angel didn’t believe me and decided to call his own district manager. The district manager confirmed exactly what I said, but Angel still pushed back, saying I needed to “prove” my son was mine and that he was over 12.

That part really hurt — my son looks white because my wife is white and I’m Hispanic. Having to “prove” he’s my son after already signing the waiver felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. What should’ve been a simple, fun thing we do together turned into my son feeling like he wasn’t welcome.

We used to love going together, but now he doesn’t even want to come because he feels like a burden. It’s a shame that one manager’s ego and attitude ruined what used to be something special for us.

Don’t join this gym. It’s brand new but already an overpopulated mess. They ran out of cleaning supplies several times in the first few weeks and went days without restocking, which says a lot about how little they care about hygiene.

The managers are rude, petty, and unprofessional on every shift. They’ll pressure you to give them your bank account info so it’s harder to cancel, and if you don’t, your QR code stops working. Then you have to ask to be let in every time you want to work out.

Save yourself the frustration and find a gym that actually respects its members and keeps things clean.

I signed up for a 7-day free trial at Crunch on October 17, and today (October 23) should have been my last day. When I came in, I was told my pass had already expired, even though it was still within the 7-day period. The staff member said I had to come in “consistently” for the pass to stay active — something no one mentioned when I signed up. I had visited during the trial without coming in back-to-back days, and no one ever told me that was a problem. This new Crunch Fitness location looks great on the surface — brand new equipment, nice layout, and plenty of space. But the hygiene situation is unacceptable for a gym that just opened.

There are never any wet wipes, paper towels, or sanitizing spray available for members to clean the machines after use. That means you often have to sit or touch equipment that’s clearly been used by someone else, which is disgusting and unhygienic.

While the grounds and bathrooms are not filthy and don’t smell bad, the lack of basic sanitization supplies makes the whole place feel poorly managed. Even in the restroom, there are no toilet seat covers, which is disappointing for a new facility.

This isn’t just about comfort — it’s about health. Studies show how dirty gyms can get:
• FitRated’s study found that free weights can carry 362 times more bacteria than a toilet seat, and treadmills and exercise bikes often harbor similar levels of contamination. (CleanLink source)
• A 2014 microbiology study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health found that gym equipment surfaces often contain bacteria associated with skin and respiratory infections. (NIH/PMC study)

In short, even a clean-looking gym can be a breeding ground for bacteria without proper sanitization protocols. Crunch needs to provide wipes or sanitizer stations at all times if they want to be taken seriously about member safety and hygiene.

I just started a membership with this location. I still have a fitness connection as in deciding to officially switch or not.. I miss red light booths from when I had planet fitness n its 24hr n closer than my current gym so I decided to try it...

Ive participated in many red light therapy activities across many gyms and even at home and spa facilities. Today "Angel" Refused me the service as he asked me to physically show him the googles in which I asked him, "why?" I thought it was Odd as I Know the employees "do not" tell the customers to prove they have goggles. I was offended and declined to show him as I felt it was him implying that im lying to him. I ask him if he as well as the other workers REQUIRE ALL CUSTOMERS to show physical proof and he avoided the question... which means No... for some reason Im just "special". He walked away so I asked another worker at the desk if they normally REQUIRE SOMEONE TO PROVE THEY AREN'T A LIAR... He said "No, im not sure what thats about." He then said if people dont have them we would Offend Googles... Angel didnt do that... he Just refused until I showed him then walked away. I ASKED AGAIN IF THEY COULD TURN IT ON AND THE 2ND GUY CAME BACK AND SAID "He"/Angel" is not going to turn it on and if I turn it on he will just turn it right back off."

This is INCREDIBLY OFFENSIVE.. I think it deserves a Google and yelp review...

Im a 42 year old adult who doesn't not care to be treated like an Insubordinate Child... I may as well cancel and stick with fitness connection.. or go back to planet fitness for the red light therapy.. the many times I've done red light at planet fitness I Have NEVER bn treated this way... refused service and treated like a Lying child...

The gym itself is okay, but the music is ridiculously loud — especially early in the morning. Even with my new AirPods Pro 3 (which have some of the best noise cancellation you can get), I still can’t fully hear my own music because theirs is blasting over it. It’s way too much and honestly kills the focus for workouts.

I get that they want to keep the energy up, but 5 AM? This ain’t a club. A bunch of other reviews mention the same thing too, so it’s clearly not just me.

On top of that, the AC is always freezing, with fans running full speed. And just like others have pointed out, there are never any wet wipes, paper towels, or sanitizing spray available for members to clean the machines after use — which is really basic gym hygiene.

Lastly, when I showed up on my first day, I was asked to give my bank account info, even though I had already entered all my billing details online. They said the doors wouldn’t open for me until I provided it, which felt unnecessary and honestly kind of shady.

It’s a shame because the gym could be great, but these issues really take away from the experience.

DONT SIGN UP WITH THIS GYM. I WOULD LEAVE ZERO STARS IF I COOULD. I signed up for a yearly membership in May and was charged the yearly fee of 70 dollars only for the SL location to close in 4 months. I even got charged the monthly fee when the gym announced closure only 15 days before. We can't cancel the yearly membership because its "under a signed contract" and they automatically transferred me to the kirkwood location even though its almost a 30 minute drive from me. What's worse is they dont even answer the phone or emails. I had to call my bank to dispute charges and stop future fees, costing me even more money. Just a cash grab from a greedy owner who doesnt care about their customers.

Deceptive tactics for membership. Do not buy a membership from this gym, as their cancellation policies are horrible and shady. You must pay a 60$ annual fee before you cancel, even if you try to cancel right after signing up. Their website says no commitment, but if you read some fine print in the huge document they have you sign it will say you cannot cancel without paying the fee. Also you have to say you want to cancel 30 days in advance or they wont allow you to cancel? Everything about this place screams deception, read anything and everything you sign from them.

New gym so it's nice. Good equipment. Missing 1 or 2 machines that you make it the perfect gym for me. They keep the jumbo fans on high so it's hard to get a good workout going with a decent sweat & pump. Machine section doesn't really flow by body part so you have to kinda jump around. Music is loud & seems to be one genre. Scanners for entry dont work unless you updated your banking info to go with your already added CC info. Claiming in case your CC expires. I'm sure if your CC expires, scanning won't let you in either. Which like any other gym, they'll let you know that's the reason & ask for your new CC. I mean personally my CC expires in a year & half, y'all good til then. Granted the front desk isn't the most attentive.

Gym is aesthetically pleasing, I don’t have to wait for equipment. This is the first gym I’ve been to where the trainers are pushy with sales every time I go someone is trying to get me to sign up for personal training which I always decline. They don’t have paper towels when you sweat so bring your own towel, they only have wet wipes to wipe equipment down. The squat racks don’t have enough barbell clips so bring your own as well.

Was planning on signing up soon until I was made aware of an employee with some very prejudice and racist beliefs and I refuse to spend my money with a company that is ok with hiring someone who believes things of that nature will be taking my business else where!

I join just this week and it was a great choice . Had to drop my Planet Fitness when I seen the punching and kicking bag!!. The energy , love the black look inside. So far, my experience, from the staff to the equipment is cool.. Probably got there name missed spell but shoutout to Maria on morning shift and Fhara on nights.

I canceled my membership after being made aware that crunch fitness hired somebody who has very prejudice & racial opinions on African Americans and Hispanics. Upon bringing this to not one but two different crunch Representatives, attention the general manager of that location. Steven I was told that it has nothing to do with crunch fitness since that is their employees personal opinion and that there is nothing that crunch fitness can do. 0 out of 10 will never go again.

Great service had a tour today with Kleo of the gym and it was above expectations. All the machines are very clean and up to date very spacious and a ton of extras if you’re a peak member. It’s also open 24/7 and that’s convenient.
