Had no problems if you go in and do your stuff. Staff was good , one thing I’ll like to point out is the man who cleans the gym , Chris. He’s there everyday bikes to the gym bothers no one while he’s cleaning. He cleaning all the cardio machines and the restrooms and to my knowledge it’s only him. He’s a great and hard worker. It’s nice to see that in today’s world. Keep Chris he’s good worker!

This location has been charging me since July of last year despite my requesting a cancellation and being told over the phone by an employee that once my payment for bringing the account up to date cleared it would be canceled. Realizing I’m still being charged I called AND emailed for cancellation. They are still insisting on a 30 day cancellation notice and demanding yet ANOTHER payment for the coming month before my cancellation is effective. They can see in their own system I have not visited or used the membership at all since last July. I issued a stop payment with my bank and notified crunch of this. Which they are telling me will result in my cancellation being nullified and once the “membership” is past due they will take me to collections. Horrible business practice to put policy over people. No accountability for their employees mistake/miscommunication just want my consumer $.

Its good in the weekdays, theres a gentleman that busts his derier cleaning without stopping until his shift ends but in the weekends damn. No papertowels and no solution spray bottles. There was a time I told a receptionist that I thought none of the men were cleaning their hands because they were out of soap in the restroom and she laughed.... then she said Ill see what I can do. Cleanliness is the biggest thing with running a gym and maybe everybody should be properly trained to do it.

Me gusta mucho mi gimnasio local. Tiene gran accesibilidad en el estacionamiento, el personal es muy amable y no cambiaría por nada mis clases de spinning. Yo voy en horarios no tan concurridos como después de las 9:00am o 8:00pm ya que si vas antes no encontrarás máquinas vacias. El día de ayer solo tenían 1 máquina en mantenimiento, pero muy rápido las reparan. Los fines de semana por la tarde antes de cerrar está casi vacío y es cuando puedes apreciar mucho más los aparatos. No es 24/7 pero su horario está muy amplio.

Decent gym, HORRIBLE treatment by staff specifically the trainer.

Disclaimer* this is not my home gym, but I travel to Crunch Fitness all over the country and am very familiar with gym etiquette and this is the first time I have ever been chastised and admonished for a rule that’s not posted anywhere AND that’s allowed at every other Crunch I’ve had the privilege and pleasure of training in.

So apparently I was not allowed to film myself doing pull ups in an isolated area with no other members present with the use of small tripod that was not in any other members way. No big deal right?

But if you would have seen the way she approached and spoke to me you would have thought I stole her lunch money in the 3rd grade.

she walked past 3 other people doing the same thing with a tripod but she had to make sure she addressed me. Different rules for different people can’t say I’m surprised…

I have been a Crunch member since they opened up this Noth Location I think in September 4yrs.ago.close by my house.When you walk in & when your leaving they always greet.I had of what's call a kickoff.since I am a member and didn't know.its a session for about 1hr.with a trainer on what's your needs and want to accomplish with yourself physically and mentally.So I set up a 9.00am appoint with a trainer Kimberly Morales.she showed so many stretches that I can do with my body that I never imagine.She is young professional on what she trains.she will listen to your needs and tells you what you can do.After that 1hr.session oh my God my body felt great.so for sure soon I am joining the sessions and its not expensive and well worth it.Thanks Kimberly,

I just joined a month ago, quit planet of the apes due to no more classes. This gym offers a lot of classes at different hours. Great gym. I only go during the dead of night so I cannot comment on how busy it is during the day but from what I've seen it's clean and people leave you alone.

Out of nowhere my guest was not allowed to come in because they are not my local gym.
They said I was only allowed to workout when they had previously given access to my guest and he had a guest profile that we saw they had on file.
According to Irma V, my guests are only allowed in my home gym, POLICIES, but when I requested to see such policy, she failed to show me on paper where only home guests were allowed. Their policy only read that guests needed to be over 18, but it never mentioned that only local members could bring guests.
I told her I would understand if they had told me that the first time he attended, but it was irrational to let him in, create a profile, and then just say you can't come in. It's a national membership with guest privileges!!

I am miles away from my home Crunch. Went to use the red light therapy at this location. The room stunk like body odor and the red light machine was filthy. Took me 10 minutes to disinfect the machine to where I felt comfortable enough to use. You could see the black dry sweat stains where you can tell employees have neglected cleaning for weeks. I tried to use the empty studio room to exercise as I do not feel comfortable working out in front of people. I was told by Melissa that I couldn’t use the room due to the mirrors. I was at the back of the room (about 30 feet) where no mirrors are present. They allow for people to go in there and take pictures of themselves, but I cant use a yoga ball to exercise? How is working out in the studio room any different from the main room with mirrors? First crunch fitness I was told I couldn’t work out in the studio workout room. I overheard them give permission for two kids to box with each-other next to the front windows. As long as “they didn’t draw blood” it was permissible. Cleaning of machines after use is not enforced here! If there’s no maintenance people to clean the facility, don't you think the front desk should be cleaning and doing their job instead of standing around doing nothing or walking on the treadmill? Another front desk was not even wearing crunch uniform. Was in revealing tight fitted workout clothes flirting with a member instead of acknowledging me upon entering. Very upsetting and disappointing about this encounter as I pay for the highest membership and pay for a trainer at my home crunch fitness. Would like to talk to a supervisor about this negative experience.

First the good: this gym is clean, new, and well-stocked with equipment. It's a great place to workout and for a very good price ($20/month for one person, $40/month for two people).

I'm giving it one star because of an experience I had this morning. A few weeks ago, my wife added me to her membership. We worked out faithfully together. Over the weekend, my wife had a medical procedure and will be out of the gym for two weeks. Upon entering the Crunch Fitness location in North Brownsville, I was politely informed that in the future I would not be permitted to workout without my wife since she was the member and I was her guest. I explained that my wife is out on medical leave, but the receptionist reiterated that it's Crunch Fitness policy. I find this policy personally offensive. What good is a membership that I can only use when my wife is present? Since she is on medical leave, it's a hassle for my wife to get to the gym to cancel her plan so I can be the primary member. Now I'll have to spend the next couple weeks without working out, and will have to pay my membership fees the whole time. Shame on you Crunch Fitness!

I prefer Golds. I used to like this Crunch but trainers take up a lot of space for their classes of just 3-4 people. Then act like you are in their way. Or trainers putting their clients right next to you when you are trying to workout. They have a whole room for group classes but take to then whole HITT area.

This place is literally heaven on earth when it comes to gyms, they only play the best most bumpin music it’s so hip and cool ! My first visit there they took me into one of there break rooms and threw me a party with all sorts of festivities and gifts they even gifted me a 2020 dodge hellcat red eye I couldn’t believe my eyes, the facility is also very clean I usually wear my sun glasses while working out from all the glare of how shiny and pristine everything is, if there was one complaint it would be that some lady takes massive number two in the girls bathroom and the smell is literally acidic and melts my nostrils but ! Other than that best gym on planet earth ! Also don’t forget to ask them for the complimentary bust down rollie avalanche that comes with every new member.

This place is middle of the road. Let's get into it.

Parking: this place has probably the worst laid out parking lot I've seen in a very long time. Not near enough spaces for the shopping center it's in. Not their fault but man, the developers screwed them here.

The layout: they have a huge HIIT area to the right as you walk in, a bunch of star cardio equipment that I'm going to circle back to, and plenty of power racks. The problem? It's so damn busy here. Getting a rack was a hassle, most benches were full. Machines are nautilus which... I'm kinda torn on. Better than matrix and hoist but barely.

Now to the cardio machines. They have stair master rowers, that need maintenance. The chain was way too lax and really was a insufficient pull. Hate to say it but the matrix rowers are far superior. Never thought I'd say these words. Ever.

The star cardio machines. Not a huge fan. The arch elliptical was awkward and hitchy. They tried to copy the precor and didn't work out so well.

So overall; it's not a terrible gym. But it's far from a great one. Mainly due to how packed it was and the inconvenience of everything surrounding that.

Nice gym, when there’s minimal people. When it’s crowded goodluck finding anything available. They won’t even let you use the group fitness rooms for free weights, so there’s even less room. The gym is already small so crowding is an issue. Also, cleaning the machines after use is not enforced. Most of the time gym equipment is really dirty. Paper towels and drinks are left everywhere. Pretty disappointing. Overall, don’t recommend.

Every day more people doesn't use face cover when exircising. You can find people walking around without the coverface. Staff members DO NOT enforce this actual and important health requirement simply says is not their work or even that is allowed when excersicing. The place is nice and looks clean, but the staff actutude is NOT usderstandable seem they want you cancel the membership.

I'm new to the area, and my friend and I went to check out the gym, Josue at the front desk was very informative and helpful he showed us around the gym and shared the different plans , and We signed up on the spot. The gym setup is nice all the machines are excellent condition, music, TV, lighting, locker room down to the drinks and protein bars . I recently joined the CrossFit in North Brownsville. I have gone to many gyms so I know my way around the gym. The individual who gave me a tour was extremely unprofessional while doing so. I am not from Texas and this individual made it known that I wasn't welcomed at that gym. Being from a big city I do not take any of this personal, as I continued to make my own assessment of the gym with observations that I made. The price, location, and quality of equipment made the rude service that I was receiving not important. Like many people in the world right now, I am extremely concerned about the Coronavirus. The first couple of days that I had joined the gym I witnessed a lot of attention to detail to everybody's safety. Now the only thing that is consistently done is a temperature check which has been PROVEN to not be effective when recognizing somebody's coronavirus symptoms. As of today I witnessed many individuals either not wearing their mask or wearing their mask incorrectly. I began speaking to an individual about the workout they were doing, then he informed that he works at the other Crunch in South Brownsville. I began to inform him about all my concerns, I also informed him that I had a rude individual give me a tour and make me feel unwelcomed. He asked me to discribe the male to him as I did not know his name. He has brown hair, short and stocky. He informed me that the other male who I had made the complaint to would not inform his manager that I should share my concerns with a review to inform future customers about the rude staff at the front desk.

I hope I see an improvement with the quality of service.
