It's taken me a long time to find a gym that I actually look forward to going to, and this is it... I'm having weekly group classes which are so great!"

It needs more fans. There is currently little to no circulation in the building. It has one single fan in the middle above the 2nd floor (there's 3 floors). Anyone working out will notice this.

November update: Gym hasn't improved its circulation issue. It's finally cooler outside yet the gym still feels hot and uncomfortable.

What’s the point of making reservations for the hot studio classes if there’s not enough space? It seems like there are more people than there should be.

It’s happened two times now where I get there at 4am and there is no attendant at the front desk for over a 20 minute period. Both times I’ve had to just leave because I’d end up running late otherwise. The first time I wanted to do red light therapy, 20 minute wait, no one showed up so I left without doing red light therapy. The second time was this morning, the sauna in the women’s locker room was off and wouldn’t turn on when I pushed the on/off button. Went to the front and waited 25 minutes for the attendant to come back, nothin. There was another woman waiting just as long as me when I left.

Pretty frustrating I can’t get services I pay extra for. 4 am starts to get busy here, having more than one person working the front might be a good financial move if you’d like to make sure your paying customers are taken care of.

They have multiple screens in the kids area, I pads with games in there. Bad for kids! Teachers keep all the screens on all the time!
The teacher said, “it’s between you & the kids, ask them not to watch” it’s impossible for kids not to watch.

Horrible gym. Inexperienced trainers with very little formal training. Management is unorganized and seem to not have a clue what they are doing. I recommend anywhere but here. OJ, one of the managers is completely disrespectful and unprofessional. Even planet fitness is better than this facility.

Tried canceling with them and not able to. Instead my account remains active for 3 months of not going and they keep charging and charging to my account. And now threatening to send it to collections. DON’T SIGN UP HERE. They make it difficult to cancel membership.

Email provided doesn’t work.

Great gym overall! The staff have been friendly since I joined in June 2025. The membership price is affordable for what you get with it; however, this gym does get packed quite often making it hard to stay in a workout routine when you have to wait for machines.

Pros:
1. They have a sauna, tanning, red light therapy, hydromassage, & classes.
2. Membership price is affordable. They also have different tiers of membership options.
3. They are open 24/7.
4. They have kids care on-site. I don’t have a child, so I’m unsure if it’s good or not.
5. The employees are nice.

Cons (imo):
1. The sauna doesn’t have a temperature gauge, so I am unsure what the temp is. This would be easy to add and beneficial for health reasons.
2. The add-ons (tanning, red light, & hydromassage) are only for certain tiers. Please make sure to do your research on the tiers before signing if you want to use these.
3. The locker room/restrooms are small. The restroom stalls are tiny. I’m a small girl and it’s hard for me to use some of them. If they would’ve made the restroom doors swing outward when building them, that would’ve helped a little.
4. There are no shelves in the showers, so you have to put your stuff on the dirty floor. If one or two shelves were added in the three showers, it would help a lot. The towel hanger outside of the shower needs to be stronger as well.
5. There is no full body mirror in the locker room. Putting a full length mirror in the one dressing room would help people that get ready for work after the gym. It’s hard to see your full outfit in the mirror by the sinks.
6. The gym is a good size; however, is becomes packed at certain times, even though it is open 24/7. I try to go between 5-7 am, but once it hits the 7 am time, it starts to get packed. I would assume these are people going before work like me. After work, between 5-7 pm, it is unbearable (for me) to try and workout. I don’t enjoy waiting for machines, etc. If you are to try this gym, I would recommend late at night or early in the morning if possible.
7. The leak or previous leak above the hip thrust machine needs to be repaired/painted.
8. The hip thrust machine padding fades quickly (understandably). If we could have extra straps/pads on standby for when they become worn, that’d be nice. Even specific bar pads dedicated for the machine would work. I tend the use the little blue pad or roll up a black pad.
8. They have a lot of classes available daily, so that’s a plus! The only issue is that they fill up quickly, so schedule in advance!
9. Most people don’t clean their machines, so clean it before you use it. This is all gyms though. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I can't lie, this is the most overstimulating gym I've ever been to. The lights are always SO bright, the music sounds like it's on full volume and the type of music they blast sounds like nails on a chalk board. The restroom stalls are tiny and I'm a small girl, it's crazy the way they built this massive space with such a small locker room. I understand that this can't be fixed now but please do something about what can be adjusted. I've even seen multiple people wearing sunglasses inside which I thought was odd but, now I get it.

i’ve primarily gone to cedar park, but since i’ve been going here for a decent amount time as it’s closer, the only nice people i come across are the girls and the one young man i’ve seen at the front desk. they say hi, they make conversation, they’re NICE. and a couple of trainers i don’t see anymore unfortunately. but there’s a woman named stephanie who i assume is everyone’s boss, who is incredibly rude and condescending. she seems to have favorites who work there and as a person who works out there frequently, you can clearly tell. i had to ask a simple question one day, and just speaking to her, she made me feel like an idiot. i’ve never had issues with anyone else, thank goodness, but i guess some people quit and a lot of new people were hired on? there’s a woman... named lisa who now works there, SO RUDE. i get stared down by them all the time and it makes me very uncomfortable. i’ve seen on numerous accounts of her talking to employees like they’re less than, and it even makes ME uncomfortable, so imagine how the employees feel. this lisa person, multiple times, has also cut me off trying to walk up the stairs and never says excuse me. now i know im not entitled to anything, but seriously, you work there, have some manners. she or he, has even stared me down in the women’s bathroom multiple times, i don’t care who you are or what your business is, don’t stare at patrons in the restroom and make them feel weird. this place is lucky i don’t call HR. Oh wait, HR is only there to protect employees, they definitely won’t do anything. so maybe i’ll just contact the better business bureau or the connections at the capital.

i’m just very disgusted and appalled by these two individuals and won’t be coming here anymore. they make me dread walking into the north round rock location, and i’m not the only one who feels this way. the ladies i work out with have experienced this too.

stephanie needs to learn how to be a nice lady, and hold herself to a certain standard. and lisa, stop making people feel weird.

UPDATE: Sept 30, 2025
Gym has been open many months now and busier than ever. Monday at 6:00 PM makes this gym nearly impossible to get a workout in. I spent 45 minutes and finished two exercises because everything had multiple people waiting. 6 in line for their limited bench selection, 3 deep for the deltoid machine. This gym has oversold their memberships and it costs members the ability to workout at preferred hours. This is what happens with low cost memberships and a finite amount of equipment. The young girl at the front desk who had a bad attitude has improved a lot. Still the staff here does way above average. Broken equipment is repaired quickly. The class options are plentiful, but not worth the extra cost as they are nearly impossible to book. They fill up immediately after they open. I’ve been able to schedule one HIIT class since they opened.

Original review:
It’s been two weeks since the gym opened and I’m split on my opinion so far. Most of the staff are super chill and helpful, but there is a younger girl on staff that needs to find another place to take her poor attitude. Outside of her, it’s smiles and attentiveness all around. The heavy weights being installed upstairs is a huge head scratcher. They continuously shake the entire building.

Pros:
1. Affordable membership
2. Lots of equipment
3. Good amount of locking storage
4. Red light therapy & tanning
5. (4) Boxing Heavy Bags
6. Clean facility
7. Hot yoga room - don’t use it but that’s a good feature

Cons
1. So many people working out here. Gym is always overpacked during key hours. Hard to get the most popular machines
2. Busy Meter on the app doesn’t work properly
3. No stand alone racks for free weights and the weights on the machines are disorganized
4. Promised boxing classes on heavy bags during signup and they don’t offer this
5. Super small locker rooms. Space for two men to sit down while changing; That’s it. Three small showers and feels like one is always broken.
6. Always a 10-30 minute wait for Red Light Therapy
7. Nearly impossible to register for a class. They only open registration 22 hours before the class and fill up almost instantly. Have tried numerous times to get a specific class and it’s gone in seconds.

Conclusion: very nice gym that misses its incredible potential due to design flaws and odd management decisions. Adding additional RLT machines, larger locker rooms, and way more classes would help fix most of the big issues.

Gym looks and feel very clean and aesthetic. However I agree with a previous comment about teenagers just hanging around at night. They just stand their on their phones or talk with a group of people around the machines not even using it. Another problem I have is the people outside asking for donations. I don’t want to be pestered every day to donate. I donated once and they continue to ask me to donate.

I’ve been away from the gym for a while so decided to try out Crunch and so for there are a lot of things I like about it. 1. Very friendly and helpful staff, 2. wide variety of cable equipment and lat pull stations, 3. Multiple TRX stations, 4. Wide variety of hammer strength equipment, 5. Multiple free weight stations and ample floor space to stretch.
Most of all the hours of operation are conductive to my schedule.

The overcrowding is beyond ridiculous. I’ve been to dozens of gyms in my lifetime but never experienced anything like this. Imagine having to wait for a treadmill at 2 in the afternoon on a weekday. My first ever visit, I went after work in the evening. I took one look and walked right out. It was a ZOO.

DO NOT join this gym if you actually like SPACE and an opportunity to use equipment without waiting or being rushed by another person waiting. Influencers with tripods. People sitting on equipment scrolling on their phone. Meatheads bullys walking around thinking they own the gym. You get it all here. Big mistake joining this place. 👎🏽

Also, the cleanliness has gone downhill. The middle floor is a travesty and needs a thorough cleaning.

Yes it is busy. But that usually means something is going right at a place Overall solid selection of machines and good facilities. For all those saying it is too busy. Don’t go at the peak hours when everyone gets off work. I did this a couple of times and had no issues just had to work in with a few people for certain exercises. If you want an entire place to yourself buy a home gym. Otherwise this place is great for the money probably best in the area plus I travel through the us and this is one of the few chains that has me covered with a solid gym at all locations s I have been so far.

I’ve been to a number of local gyms, but I don’t exaggerate when I say this place is ALWAYS packed, regardless of what time of day you go. The employees are friendly and the gym is clean, but expect to have to modify your workout routine pretty regularly because you’ll have trouble getting the machines you need.

I’m also a bit frustrated that despite the ongoing crowdedness, I still regularly receive promotional door hangers at my house in Eagle Ridge to sign up. I’m sure the owners see the issue at the gym firsthand (and have read the other reviews here mentioning the same problem), so it feels like a bit of a money grab at the expense of the people who have already joined.

I had a deeply frustrating experience at this gym and feel compelled to share my concerns to warn others. I strongly advise potential members to think twice before signing up, especially for personal training, and to carefully review the cancellation policies. The inflexible contracts and poor user experience made this a regrettable choice for me. The primary issues were the lack of availability in classes, an extremely convoluted cancellation process, and an inefficient gym layout.
Class availability was a major problem. Despite a variety of offerings, I consistently found no open spots, making it nearly impossible to participate. This severely limited the value of my membership. The cancellation process was a nightmare. I signed up for personal training in addition to my membership, which made canceling extraordinarily difficult. I attempted to cancel in person multiple times due to a health diagnosis requiring surgery that prevented strenuous exercise. However, the gym’s policy required me to pay for half of the remaining personal training sessions, despite my inability to use them. I went back and forth via email and in-person visits, only to be told repeatedly that cancellation wasn’t possible due to the personal training contract. It felt like an endless loop of inaction, leaving me trapped. While the personal trainer was friendly, the required app for tracking was outdated, lacking integration with iPhone apps and requiring tedious manual input. The gym’s three-level layout was also inefficient, making navigation cumbersome and time-consuming. Additionally, the layout of the women's locker room sauna is a literal utility closet.

This is a good gym but guys your locker room situation is abysmal. For the size of your gym 3 bathroom stalls is way too tiny and having 2 of them be out of order is unacceptable.

I'm still currently a member at Gold's, I did start coming in Dec when y'all first opened. I haven't let Gold's go just yet because there's flaws at Crunch that needs to be fixed or rearranged. First off the locker room is extremely small with only 2 small benches, there's no full mirrors, but the mid size mirror where you wash your hands. You can't check your clothes to see if you have a stain on them just in case, C'mon y'all what's up with having one restroom only on the first floor and y'all have three floors smh that there doesn't make any sense, hopefully someone never have a really bad accident because they couldn't make it to the first floor restroom. Definitely needs more fans especially on the first and third floor. Need more duplicate machines not understanding why theres none, and the machines in front of the men's locker room are barely being used so those should be replaced. Definitely need two old school Smith Machines so we can do real Hip thrusts. The two hip thrusts machines y'all have sucks and are overly overrated. And y'all needs to get rid of some of the same cardio machines on the first floor and add duplicate machines, so other's can workout instead of waiting on you to finish up, or just other machines we don't have. Very overcrowded at night a lot of teenagers chilling all night long not really working out, but occupying machine space while on their phone or talking in a group. But other than that I do think the place is very clean and the staff is super nice. Oh, plus the music is a tad bit loud. I haven't cancelled my Gold's yet because I have faith in y'all to get these things corrected. And I mainly go in at night between 10pm - 12 midnight. Other than that I really enjoy working out at Crunch, love the 24 hrs 7 days a week.

Hans is amazing too! His classes are always the fullest, he has great energy. He has you go around the room and whistles, so you know when to turn and the moves are easy to follow. I wear a fit bit and I get mostly vigorous and some moderate activity with him where it's a little less on some of the other instructors. Please please have him do more classes

I have had a great experience from day 1, actually even before, the folks doing presign ups in the fall before opening are really the ones who got me excited about joining. The staff is friendly and helpful when I have questions, mess up the locker thingys or when I need help with my app. I have found that it is always tidy, even when busy. My trainer Gionna is the BEST hype girl; encouraging me when I am frustrated, helping me with proper form, nutrition and pushing myself to reach my goals even when working out on my own. The other trainers are just as amazing. I see them working with their clients and am always impressed with how you can see them truly adjusting the workouts to meet their client's individual needs and abilities. Sure, it can be loud, people slam things or don't wipe down machines. I have seen that happens at most places. I look forward to going rather than dreading which is why I have stayed here longer and go more often than I did in any of my previous gym attempts.

crunch has always been one of my favorite gyms and although i love this location, i do have some complaints. it’s always packed no matter what time of the day it is, the lack of having more than one of the same machine, and how fast the classes fill up.

i feel like the classes that fill up instantly should be prioritized and offer the most amount of classes compared to other classes that aren’t as popular.

also they only have one of certain machines, which makes it very hard to get your workout in, especially since it’s packed all the time.

I give 2 stars cause the staff is friendly and the kids club is amazing. But the gym is always packed (no matter the time of day) classes are extremely hard to get in to and if you do happen to reserve a spot the trainers go and find more people to join the class really making it over packed and uncomfortable. The gym does have a wide variety of equipment. But it's pretty useless given the gym is so packed and you have to wait on everyone to use 1 machine. I say 1 machine cause they don't have duplicates of popular machines which turns into a wait time. Members record way to much working out on the floor they have zero social awareness. Which I understand public gym but no public decency to think maybe others don't wanna be in their video.

I had a very bad experience the way this gym charges your bank account even if you use your insurance to get a discount they’re still charging over $21. They say it’s late fees but then also they say it’s because you use a debit card to pay, and this gym does not have a lot of machines to do weightlifting Or different exercise they only have one of each on the second floor, but they have about 10 or more downstairs of treadmills and bikes but yet sometimes they close that part to do instruction classes so it’s kind of stupid to be at this location and then if you try to go to a different location to talk about your account, they will tell you automatically no you need to go to your original gym that you signed up to I would not recommend. Any of these gyms I had a very bad experience within the two months I was there never will. I come back all they’re trying to be very bougie and they overcharge people.

My home location is south, but I come to this location for classes and recovery. Since it's new, all of the equipment is new, functional, and the pads don't have holes. In addition, the desk Stagg have always been friendly, chatty, and helpful. They do a great job constantly cleaning the tanning, redlight, and hydro-massage beds, vacuuming, and even wiping down the stairs rails. I hope they continue to maintain the equipment and these customers service and cleanliness standards. I appreciate the turf area in addition to the HIIT Zone turf for agility and sytetching and that the class studio can be used when there's no class. Coach Bleu does a great job with the barbell class and recently to HIIT the Bells class. I love his energy, Playlist, connecting with the family goers, and openness to feedback. Trainer Jill's Extreme HIIT class is fantastic as well. She is full of energy and encouragement. I just tried Tough Tread with Stacy, and another fantastic class with clear instructions that got my heart pumping. Yes, parking and over-crowding can be an issue during peak times so I try to go early morning or early afternoon when my work schedule allows. The dressing area is also a little small and I didn't care for it being right in front of the showers (I prefer off-set for a little more privacy). Overall great gym, awesome people, and tons of options for machines, free weights, classes, and personal training if you'd like. The aesthetic is bright, welcoming, and energizing. Since joining Crunch in January I have lost 10 lbs, lost fat amd put on muscle. I hope they can somehow expand one day to add more space and an upstairs bathroom. 😊

3 floors...some leg machines are on the first floor, the rest of the 3rd floor ( some for upper body machines)... If you are on the first floor and needs to use a machine on the 3rd, gets there and it is taken...back to the 1st floor....
I mean, does it sound logical? I guess not .

They should make a whole floor for upper body, another one for legs and one one for cardio, abs and cardio.

I have been going to this gym since they opened. I have had a mainly positive experience.

One time I had started on the treadmill, and while doing my routine someone placed a card on the treadmill for an upcoming class. This only gave me 15 minutes before I would have to move. I complained and Kelli explained that there are treadmill classes, and so I understood, but said more time should be allotted for reserving for classes.

I read some reviews and can understand the music being too loud. Sometimes I can really hear it and sometimes it is ok.

Parking is another problem, but I understand the location.

At times the phone is more important to some that sit at a machine rather than let others work in and use the machine.

I try to go late at night, and that for me is the best because parking isn't as bad at that time, and the gym isn't as crowded.

I do want to say that in the morning Eric always greets me and is very friendly.

At night Carl is always friendly and welcome me in and has great customer service. He is a great asset for the gym.

Terrance is another great friend I have made there and is friendly when I go to workout. Another reason along with Carl I continue here.

I have had my inbody scan from Brent, a great trainer, and got my updates.

I have lost fat and gained muscle. Carl and Terrance both congratulated me on my progress. They both encourage me to keep up my training.

I have tried to do cardio in the morning only due to the number of people working out, and have seen similar faces, I think Rachel is one of them, but only know Eric by name.

Any business that greets you by name, and is very friendly is good. If the employee can see my name, and just says hi rather than greet me, it changes the feel. By mentioning my name, I feel they are taking the extra time to acknowledge me, and that is great customer service.

I know parking can't be fixed, but a little less loud on the music, maybe let the young ones know that others pay to use the equipment and sharing can be nice, and it would be perfect, but I have had a great experience here.

One last thing, I agree with another reviewer that the weights might have made more sense on the first floor, and not on the second.

Been going here recently and despite some of the bad reviews, I feel like it’s up to your perspective on your experience here. Personally I love it! I don’t go at the busy times, so I’m able to get a good workout in. Barely a wait on any of the machines. Plenty of options. Most people are just there to put in the work so everyone is pretty friendly. Staff is amazing, even late at night. I love the fact that I can hit up the sauna and red light therapy after a good workout.

I have been a member at this gym for 2 months and decided to cancel my membership for multiple reasons:
- The crowd is always massive at any point in the day
- The music is extremely loud and while I would like this if it was good music, it is not good music
- The bathroom stalls are extremely and annoying small to the point where its hard to shut the door
- The parking situation is terrible

But the main reason is the pricing. I was told when signing up there was no contract nor commitment - yet when i cancelled my membership, they told me i needed to pay the annual fee, this month, AND next month. I am confused on that considering I will not be attending this gym anymore, so why am I paying next month? Additionally, I was just charged the annual fee and this month's fee, however, they refused to refund me.

I am familiar with gyms and gym culture - this is just wanting to get your money for a gym. that isnt that great. It sounds great on the outside, however, with the crowd, the classes that take up 20 treadmills during rush hour, people not wiping down their equipment (not their fault, that's on the person), amongst other things - there are other family owned gyms that are way better and cheaper too.

This gym is a clean state of the art facilities. Nice staff ask to use the hydramassage while you are there for your muscle needs. 2 level layout adds convenience to floor mapping. Ask about their classes, especially their heated classes. You will break a good sweat here.

Overall, the gym is a great place to work out. The equipment is well-maintained, and most of the staff is friendly and helpful. However, parking can be a hassle, which can be frustrating during peak hours.

Most of the staff creates a welcoming environment—except for the blonde receptionist with piercings. She rarely acknowledges members and gives off the vibe that you’re bothering her. A little more customer service effort would go a long way.

If the parking situation improved and all staff were as welcoming as the rest of the team, this gym would be an easy five stars.

Good gym, lots of equipment and I like the layout. 3 problems that make this location super annoying though:
1) they can't fix this, but there isn't enough parking
2) minor, but their music is too loud and I can hear it through my headphones
3) this one I actually hate: the bathroom stalls are too small, and it's difficult to get in and out let alone do my business. I'm not a big lady either, but these are the worst bathrooms I encounter regularly

And, like, why aren't there enough classes? They literally fill up 15 seconds after the sign up opens and have been for months, why haven't they added more to the schedule?

When I signed up for my membership, they told me I could access any gym. This is the only one where they wouldn't let me because my membership is a base. I looked on the company's website and it says I can access it as a base. I've been to all the ones I've been to, but this has never happened. The app tells me I can use it. The worst thing is that it's one of the ugliest I've ever been to. They're rude and trashy as people. The gym says the base membership costs 9.99 and I pay 25 every month. Who's stealing?

Brandon takes the time to tailor each session to my goals, pushing me just the right amount while ensuring I maintain proper form and avoid injuries. Kelli Green should not be a manager in training I had a lovely pleasure of meeting her and She was completely rude and unprofessional. I have a special membership that allows me to visit several different gyms. I visit this location once a week for a class as I arrived for the hot Pilates class she said I didn’t have a membership and I could not come in, but yet I had signed up for the class and showed her and she said that was an error

After asking several times if she was gonna allow me to take the class, she said no. As I was heading out the door, then she proceeds to tell me she was gonna let me take the class, but I just needed to fill out some forms. Why would you harass me for a good three minutes , With your head nods and tell me I couldn’t work out, but yet it was clear as day I had signed up for the

She clearly needs to learn how to speak to people in an adult manner and less like a child. Extremely unprofessional

Welcome to weight slam central.

I was excited when I found out this location was opening since it’s closer to me than Cedar Park, however this location is extremely cramped. Parking here can be extremely frustrating and often times I can’t get to the machines I need to use. Many times I just get annoyed with how crowded the gym is and end up leaving early.

The crowd here is mostly a younger crowd from my experience. Which age really shouldn’t be an issue but younger people slam weights more, slamming weights leads to broken equipment. All the weights are upstairs which is an extremely poor layout, you’re constantly feeling the floor shake, so again with all the weight slamming don’t be surprised when something breaks. I’ve never been to a gym that has so many people with tripods filming, if you’re one of these people who needs to film your workout in a crowded gym I don’t care how good of a shape you’re in, you look ridiculous and it’s extremely obnoxious.

The men’s locker room is annoyingly small, 9 times out of 10 people put stuff in lockers and don’t use locks.
The WiFi here has been spotty for me and completely disconnects in the sauna so listening to music through streaming can be a challenge.

Really the good things about this gym is it’s new and clean (for now). I like the variety of equipment, the sauna, tanning and red light. However I’ve found myself skipping the gym more frequently because I don’t want to deal with a crowded gym.

I was really excited to join this Crunch Fitness location, especially since I’ve had great experiences at other Crunch gyms in the past. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark for me.

The gym itself is new and clean, which is great, but it always seems to be at capacity indoors, making workouts feel cramped. It’s spread across three levels, but the elevator is unreliable, so be prepared for a lot of stairs.

Booking an online class is nearly impossible, which is frustrating for those who enjoy group workouts. And if you’re coming during prime workout hours, good luck finding parking—the lot is a challenge.

I really wanted to be a regular here, but it’s tough when I can’t even get in the building most days! Hoping they improve accessibility and capacity management soon.

Great gym if you’re a weightlifter they have a good amount of free weights such as squat racks and bench press, I wish they had clips for weights anyone who lifts close to heavy weights could easily have weights falling off and I also wish they would have signs for people to re rack weights and keep the bars at the station and not move them somewhere else , other than that it’s a cool gym with a decent staff and a solid price

I moved here from Gold's Gym. Overall the facility is great. New equipment, multiple floors serving various training options. So far love working out here
Couple suggestions to management: Cleanliness seems to be lacking a bit. The gym has been barely open for a month and we already see dirt buildup around racks and benches. The sauna floors don't seem to be mopped regularly and it becomes a problem when no shoes are allowed. Hopefully there is a focus on keeping the facility clean. This was something Golds was good at.

I got a membership from this gym because they also offer hot yoga, however, there are only 2 classes per day and it’s always fully booked! You can book it on their app but it immediately gets fully booked in less than a minute of them opening the slot. This also applies to the other group classes that they offer as well, in my opinion it’s not worth it to pay extra for the group classes. It’s ridiculous, if you want to do hot yoga just get a membership at a yoga studio instead. The gym is also 3 floors high but for some reason it still feels cramped and muggy.

Kelly and the team were amazing! The only reason why this gets deducted two stars is:

Very very disappointing experience at this gym. I forgot my badge, and the staff told me they couldn't look me up in their system because the location 2 miles down the road (also a Crunch Fitness) isn’t part of their system. I asked if I could still try the gym, but they refused, saying I’d have to buy a day pass since they couldn’t verify my membership.

What’s frustrating is that you’ll take me at my word that I’m a member at another Crunch location if it means I’ll pay for a day pass. However, you won’t take me at my word that I’m a member at this gym and let me work out without buying a pass. So, essentially, my word only counts when it results in you making money.

I’m now heading to Planet Fitness instead. Sure, most of the people there are fat, but at least they treat people with kindness and respect, which is more than I can say about this place.

Update
I was skeptical of going to a gym with a hydration station sponsored by Pepsi. However, upon entering, I found that, despite the complete lack of free weights at Planet Fitness—the gym I was forced to go to because of the staff at Crunch—I found it to be... delightful. Everyone there looked homely, the staff was largely non-attentive, and the facility was borderline clean—exactly what I expected.

Do I believe I’ll be able to achieve any of my goals at Planet Fitness? Absolutely not. Did I have a better chance over at Crunch when I was paying $200+ per month for a personal trainer? You betcha. Was it money well spent at Crunch? Absolutely. Would I spend that money again? Yes, yes, I probably would.

But unfortunately, I can't—because their system doesn't communicate with the Round Rock location just a couple of miles away. Oh wait, they’re both in Round Rock.

So, do I think I’m going to hit my fitness goals this year? Absolutely not. But hey, that’s what Ozempic is for.

Oh yeah and they gave me a free Tootsie roll over at planet fitness. yum yum

I know the gym has only been open a couple of weeks so far, but I have been pleasantly surprised with my experience so far! I come from small neighborhood gyms and a CrossFit gym - never been a member of a big gym like Crunch, so I was a bit nervous about the culture, cleanliness, and crowd control. However, the people who are running this place pay attention to the little details, which I appreciate, being a previous gym operator myself. I've seen staff clean equipment during my workouts (this one makes a HUGE difference), the members are pretty good about it too, the class energy is excellent, and staff have been incredibly kind and professional. Keep up the great work, Crunch! I miss REI, but we're so lucky you moved into this great space in RR :)

The gym isn't terrible, but the layout is something else. It would seem more logical to have all the weightlifting equipment on the lower levels. Also, placing the cardio machines on the upper floor would have made more sense.
Another thing to consider is the restrooms being located on the bottom floor. As a woman, it's a common experience for most of us to need to make a quick trip there before lifting heavy weights. So that leaves you rushing down stairs mid set making people wait for you longer to get on equipment etc. Other than that it’s not a terrible gym like mentioned but definitely not my first choice to go to.
