My first time here was great Jonathan made me feel comfortable I was a little nervous but felt like I was talking to a friend I’ve known for long time. Evelyn , Pedro and Linda are all great trainers they helped me with mistakes I didn’t even know was doing and my workouts have felt soo different then when I was doing it on my own. El gym muy bueno y todo estaba muy bien hasta que llegò un nuevo gerente el gerente andrew B. a la sucursal de pharr un señor muy doble cara y muy molesto, la primera vez que lo conoci se acercò a mi mientras yo estaba entrenando y me dijo que si queria tomar una clase de pilates que yo estaba ideal para hacerlo le dije que no porque estaba haciendo mi rutina y no tenia tiempo pero insistió y terminé aceptando resultò que su “clase” no era clase en realidad solo necesitaba grabar chicas usando esas camas para publicidad cosa que el no me dijo. Do not waste your money on this gym membership!! Daniela, the front desk employee, and Denny, the front desk manager, were both unprofessional and displayed unprofessional behavior. I cancelled my membership because, despite multiple visits, staff members often appeared more interested in their phones and personal conversations than in helping members or maintaining a welcoming environment.
Additionally, I observed that the equipment was not consistently maintained or cleaned, and basic standards of professionalism and courtesy were not consistently upheld. These experiences have created an uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere that has discouraged me from continuing my membership. I will be taking my complaint to corporate, FTC, and BBB, as they seem to smirk and roll their eyes when you express a complaint. They won't be laughing when they open an investigation into the unprofessional and unhygienic codes they continue to display. The general manager needs to do a better job of training their staff, as this reflects the company's overall performance. I hope they close this location, and people stop giving their money to corporate gyms. There are plenty of small gyms in South Texas that deserve support.

There is a Mexican, Spanish speaking middle aged bearded man that works out at this gym every week day, who shows up around 4:10ish or so, and HOGS UP the cable machines on both sides, doing almost his entire training on them and spending one hour to one hour and a half on them, acting as if it's his own private gym. He often shows up with a younger man (could be his son?) - but the point is that this guy does the same exercises on the same equipment spending excessive amounts of time on them. He will often leave the area to go talk to other members or go work out at other areas, leaving his stuff there, wasting time and leaving other members waiting. He checks out handles from the front, and waits if there are other members on the cables until both sides free up so he can hijack them.

I am leaving this review to call this person out in hopes that the management will notice this individual and speak to him.

I love my crunch pharr but as a healthcare worker not refilling the hand sanitizer not only poses a health issue but also its an essential part of keeping clean equipment and reduce infection transmission. Ive waited and waited for months and still no hand sanitizer refills. Also, as a lady I would feel a lot safer a woman cleaning the restrooms. Im aware that the male workers make an effort to announce their entrance but most of the time we have our headphones on and I couldn't hear the male walking in while I was still in the sauna in my workout attire. Please make an effort to make these changes Ive been thinking of speaking for a while hoping for a change but unfortunately i havent seen that

The worst gym ever, manager yelled at me , came with a terrible attitude at me for canceling the gym membership. I cannot come in person to cancel my membership because I have a situation. Learn to be nice, some people are going through terrible times. No professional way of talking, need to be trained better. One thing about about them is they dont make cancelling easy. They still charged me for September and they also had a terrible way of communicating. All staff is wonderful. From the younger kids at front desk to the managers. This club is the best in town, no deceptions, truthful people and they really care about us, the members. I normally don’t leave reviews, but I felt the need to share my recent experience at Crunch Gym in Pharr. Unfortunately, the general manager was extremely unprofessional and rude during my visit. From the moment I asked a simple question regarding membership policies, her attitude was dismissive and condescending. Instead of offering help or clarity, she responded with sarcasm and seemed more interested in proving a point than resolving an issue.
It’s disappointing to see someone in a leadership role act in such a disrespectful manner, especially when gym members are just trying to get information or assistance. A general manager should set the tone for the entire team and this interaction left a very negative impression. I hope Crunch takes this feedback seriously and addresses the lack of professionalism at the management level.
I asked for her name and she said “the general manager” so I asked again and she repeated “the general manager”

I love the staff. It’s always cleaned everyone is friendly. Only issue is the female manager well into her 60s. Today there were some difficulties opening the gym which is understandable stuff happens. This manager came in mad as hell slamming her car door, blasting the gym music and making faces to everyone coming. You’d think there would be professionalism being a manager and all but nope. Perhaps she needs to do proper training on how to be a leader or step down and allow someone with more people skills to fill the role.

For the most part it's a good gym, but the staff always makes me feel weird. Every time I interact with them they always have this face °--°. I always feel like I'm in the twilight zone there. I told them a machine was kind of busted the other day, I thought they'd go and put a sign "out of order", but instead I got an "okay..". Been around for 2 years about 2-3 months ago equipment breaks and takes more than a week or two to get fixed. Restrooms definitely need more attention cleaning wise, toilet paper missing, soap etc. The showers are gross 🤢 those have been without cleaning for at least a month or two if not more.

Equipment at this gym breaks often and stays broken for long periods of time. It took almost a year for a stairmaster on the far left to be repaired. Cables break often and take almost two weeks to be repaired. The deadlift / squat platforms had serious wear and took many months to repair.

Rather than allowing the benches to be mobile, have them fixed again so members can't move them and have extra benches elsewhere for those that want to use them in other areas.

Put up signs again or make announcements reminding members not to hog up equipment. There is one guy in particular that spends at least an hour and a half on the bench, and much of that time he's talking on the phone with people or texting and not working out.

This crunch allows dogs 🐕 in its facility, so if anyone gets a flea bite or even an allergic reaction , you should sue the owner for not disclosing this to the members as they enroll .
What happened to no shoes, no shirt, no service, or no dogs.

I went in the guy told me they closed everything showeres etc… not happy with this gym I just needed to shower really quick…. I have been coming here for a couple of years with my membership that I got from a Crunch located in Dallas,Texas. I have the membership where you can use any location and bring a guest. I have brought guests with me to this location various times. Today 5/29/23 I brought my bf to workout with me, but since Edinburg location is not my home gym I cannot bring a guest… something about a new policy they are implementing. Honestly, where to begin. The “training” classes are absurdly and obnoxiously loud. Equipment isn’t properly maintained as compared to Crunch Edinburg. They will blatantly lie to you about disagreements with Crunch Edinburg in order to make a few more bucks. Their policies change from one day to the next, or they will randomly decided to enforce policies that they’ve “always” had. Honestly, Crunch Edinburg staff is way nicer, and it’s cleaner and a much better workout environment. They’ll probably comment and say “so sorry for your experience please contact so and so.” They use the excuse of some gyms are franchise and some are corporate but a brand is a brand and it should be reciprocated on all ends; whether it’s corporate owned or franchisee-owned. Otherwise it damages the brand and image.

Much of the equipment is old and some is out of service. But NOT RECOMMENDED primarily due to unprofessional and untrustworthy staff and management. My family and I had a very bad experience with one of the owners (Rick) and front staff (Denny). While some staff (e.g., Jordan, Linda) are clearly quality professionals and people, others acted horribly unprofessional and untrustworthy toward us. Here is what happened - Rick offered us a deal as an incentive to join up (a card for my daughter to use to come with us as a guest for a number of non consecutive visits), which was HIS idea, then arbitrarily cancelled it before we had used all of the days (it was NOT expired). By that I mean, they told us (Denny) at the front desk, seemingly out of nowhere, and in a very rude way “this is your last day using the card.” When we asked why, standing there confused, they would not provide any sort of explanation and treated as if we had done something wrong; the way they acted toward us as we stood there at the front desk waiting to work out not only lacked basic customer service skills, but also basic human decency. It was really awful.

Don’t trust their offers, don’t trust their initial nice demeanor (mentioned in many of the reviews). Don’t put you or your family in the position of being treated the same way down the road after all the niceness wears off.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming and place is pretty clean. Only thing is this gym hardly ever had the AC on so it’s always so humid and smelly for that reason. Makes your workout very uncomfortable, and makes me want to leave mid workout. Girls sauna door is always broken for some reason so it’s hard to close and open at times. Time to time there will be younger kids messing around on the machines recording themselves so that can be kind of annoying because you’ll be coming out in there videos. I did bring this up to the staff and talked to the younger kids but they kept doing it anyway and didn’t face any consequences. 3/5

This gym is a 10/10!
The employees are very helpful and heartwarming. You feel a great relationship towards them. It is very clean and provides a sanitizing stations in every direction you see. Their zumba is really fun, and the locker rooms are really nice. Each one has a sauna inside of them and it’s really refreshing. They have hydro massage ( which felt amazing) and have tanning. The prices per month is really cheap especially the premium one! Really amazing place to go to!

This is one of the worst gyms I have come across. I moved from the valley to Corpus Christi and it has been a nightmare to get my membership transferred or canceled. At one time I called Veronica on my cell phone from the Corpus gym and put them on the phone. These thieves are still taking money from my account and my bf Jasón Gonzalez. My bf even went as far as calling abc financial. They comment on everyone’s post accept for the negative posts.
