I've been attending this gym for over a year now and it has always been clean (especially the restroom - huge blessing). The equipment has been well maintained and the staff seem to be very friendly and on top of any items needing attention, ie. Machines that are out of order. Overall, its a huge step up from Golds gym up the road in quality of equipment.

My only concern is the lack of enforcement for appropriate gym attire. It doesn't require much to create/ enforce a dress code among the more immodest guests/employees, and it goes a long way for parents bringing their children in and out of the gym.

Overall, its a decent experience with some room for improvement.

I’ve never had issues with gyms until Crunch. They make it hard to cancel memberships, the place is overcrowded and u have to wait forever to get on a machine, bathrooms and sauna are not clean smh DO NOT JOIN!!!

It’s an ok experience. If anything I wish they enforce more Sauna etiquette, locker policy and reiterate No shoes in Sauna. But actually the ppl that work-out here need to learn on they own. Ppl bring a pair of sandals and a locker. Dont wear shoes in the sauna boy and girls. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

I like crunch for its convenience and the sauna. However the cleanliness of the men’s lockers and locker room is poor. The paper towel dispensers in the gym, at night, are almost always empty. It’s also odd that this particular location doesn’t sell pre workout, which is better than having an energy drink.

Crunch Fitness has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Before signing up, I made it clear that I needed the ability to cancel at any time, and I was flat-out lied to. I’ve been trying to cancel for over a month and they just sent me a $100 invoice when my account is up to date? It’s been nothing but hidden fees that were never disclosed. This is nothing short of dishonest business practice.

I only used the gym twice and both times the facility was dirty — equipment left everywhere and the women’s restroom was a mess. I attempted to sign up for a class twice and the app was not working, I tried to sign up for the class with a front desk member, they told me they couldn’t sign me up and advised me to try to show up and maybe there would be a spot for me, but no guarantee (a 5 am class) I could pay half the price and go to planet fitness or if I wanted to pay the same and go back to Golds gym and get better equipment, have a way better customer service experience & a gym that isn’t scamming their members.

I deeply regret ever signing up and I’m warning others, do not trust what staff tells you verbally, get everything in writing or better yet, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Crunch fitness has shown me that their priority is squeezing money out of their guests.

Coming back to leave another horrible review..

First? I was charged a late fee when I shouldn’t have been. They decided to credit the overdraft to my upcoming bill so I’d be paying $20-something instead of $38-something. I wasn’t happy with it but I was getting my money back so I didn’t fuss.

However, this morning I was charged an ADDITIONAL $38 (my month bill amount) again. Crunch Fitness is a scam.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM!!

It wasn’t too bad until it came to billing. I’ve always thought this gym was a scam and it’s showing to be true.

Save your time and energy and go to Gold’s or Planet Fitness right down the street.

Overcrowded, and they gave my spouse the run around when cancelling their membership. Adding on late fees after going in to cancel the membership in person. And would not take any evidence to deny their claim, also had no evidence of substantiate their fees.
Do not sign up here unless you want to be trapped in an agreement after follow the correct process to terminate your contract.

Also someone just got Stabbed here last week, no the safest place, I would stay away.

I went into this gym on June 12 between 6:45-7:10 pm to cancel my membership. When the staff member asked why I explained I had moved and the driving distance was too far. I had to sign my signature on their digital pad and was told my membership would expire in July.
Two month later I saw on my credit card statement that they were still billing me. When I called and spoke with Holly she claimed there was no record of my cancellation for June 12th. I clearly stated to her the exact date and time I came in, but Holly flat out refused to believe me, brushed off my concerns, and didn’t even bother checking my last check-in history which would show I only came in once in April and have not come back to the gym since. When I suggested she review camera footage she dismissed it with, “our cameras don’t go back that far.”
This was none other than a staff error rather than a customer error when canceling my membership back in June. Holly made zero effort to investigate or acknowledge me in my effort when I originally canceled my membership. The only effort she made was to move the conversation from the front desk to her office. Holly’s dismissive attitude and unwillingness to take even basic steps to verify the facts was unprofessional and in my opinion showed poor management skills. If this is the level of “leadership” Crunch or Undefeated Tribe Operating Company LLC, consider acceptable, it speaks volumes about how little they value their customers or job title their employees hold.

9/10/25 UPDATE: It’s a shame how members don’t take care of what we all pay for. This fitness center is declining already! From broken equipment, overflowing trash in the mornings and unwelcoming front desk associates. It’s pretty sad and it started iut so nice. :-(

10/2/23-UPDATE: ITS FINALLY OPEN! I am sooo over the moon with this gym!! I’ve worked out twice so far here and can certainly say now that THIS IS MY GYM!! If you’re thinking about joining think no longer!! Just DO IT! You will NOT be disappointed!! It’s HUGE, beautiful, tons of options for a great workout and the staff is AMAZING! I sure hope it maintains and doesn’t fall off.
******************************************
I have heard a ton of positive reviews on this gym! I live within walking distance from Golds, but canceled my membership because of the horrible condition of the equipment and they weren’t open 24 hours. I’ve been with Planet Fitness for a few months and it’s OK but it’s like a starter gym. I need more. I cannot wait to join Crunch Fitness! Will this gym be open 24 hours? I usually work out at 4 AM.

Big gym. Lots of equipment and space even when it's busy. People are actually working out instead of hanging out. Overall I liked it a lot. The staff is the worst of all the crunch fitnesses I've ever been to. Theynare so rude and disrespectful it's astounding! They should all be fired! Not a smile among them! Only one older black gentleman with glasses has any real class at all. Whoever runs this place needs to be replaced and the people need to be replaced or coached.

One of the worst Crunch fitness centers I have ever visited. It doesn't seem like the staff does a very good job at trying to keep up with the place. Equipment is always dirty supplies are always out. The restrooms are absolutely freaking disgusting, and it doesn't seem like they get cleaned v.ery thoroughly at all.
The hot water has been out for weeks or possibly months already and it still has not been fixed, which is just ridiculous. Have brought it up to the front desk staff several times and still nothing has been done, And workers didn't even know it was out which I don't understand how that happens. There's definitely a difference between the front desk staff here and front desk staff when you visit other centers. Lack of management is evident.
Please don't reply with the generic response Like you do for all of your other reviews, just fix your issues.
Other than that, the equipment and lay out is just like every other center and the patrons are cool, no issues.
It's just the staff and upkeep of the facility.

Trainer Mr. D. Lee brings amazing energy every time I walk into the gym. He has a real gift for creating a welcoming, community feel that makes workouts so much more motivating. He’s a great addition to the team, and along with the rest of the staff here at Woodlake, he truly makes this gym stand out. I’ve had the opportunity to work with an amazing trainer at this location, Angie B.
She helped me understand my body better and helped me to get to maintain my weight but helped me lose fat and gain muscle. All of our workouts were planned and she took into consideration my lifestyle, my strengths and weaknesses, my preferences and so much more. We focused on strength training and she always made me feel capable and supported. Over a span of 6 months I definitely feel like I got stronger and I could see the results, so could my family and friends. Angie kept track of what weight I was lifting as well as the reps I was able to do which helped her trailer our sessions even more. I feel like she became more than just my trainer but also my friend.
First photo was taken at the beginning of my gym journey back in January and the last two were taken in July. Went from a size 10 to a side 5 ☺️

I’ve been coming to this crunch location for over a year now and it was honestly my favorite one in San Antonio for the cleanliness and organization. The last couple months I’ve noticed a decline at this location. Machines are broken more often.. the cleanliness isn’t up to par as it used to be.. I can’t ever seem to find carabiner clips for the cable machines!!!! It’s frustrating. I love this location and I hate to see the quality go down. It’s a very busy location but I’m sure others have noticed the decline as I have.

I pay for a premium membership ($35) monthly. I hardly ever use my at Crunch membership (since this location opened). I went to do a light work out on step machine for my knee that I had surgery on not long ago. I went to clean the machine down. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of setting my water bottle on the step machine, because the machine started to cycle after I cleaned it. My bottle fell over! I picked it up as fast as humanly possible. Despite this, there was a significant spill that I could not clean myself. I did what any customer at a business would do, I notified an employee (Frank) asap. As Osha states in work place operation; an employee is required to put out warning signs, and get a mop bucket to clean up a potentially hazardous spill asap! I mean, it is a liability issue, if the spill is not cleaned up correctly, it falls on the business when someone gets hurt, not the customer that is ill equipped to clean a spill properly. However, the employee (Frank) threatened to revoke my membership if I did not get a ton of thin tiny napkins, and get on my hands and knees to clean up the water spill myself. I respectfully informed him that the machines are either out of paper, or barely dispense enough to do a light wipe down of equipment after use. I was not about to spend a half hour walking around collecting a bunch of thin paper towels from a bunch of machines all over the gym, to get on my hands and bad knee. I informed staff (Frank) of the mishap as any customer would. Yet, I was threatened and harassed to do it myself. I went about my workout, and stopped by the front desk to explain the situation to another employee (Eric). His rationale was not coherent. I will need to go out of my way tomorrow, and talk to a manager. I mean, I might need to get my membership refunded if they can’t afford to hire a janitor, or a night manager with common sense.

I’ve been going to this location for over a year and have never had any issues, until now. When I called to cancel my membership, I was told I needed to come in person, which I understood and was willing to do. Out of curiosity, I asked the manager, Melinda, if she could explain why cancellations aren’t allowed over the phone. Rather than answering, she hung up on me.

When I called back and politely asked for her name, she hung up on me again.

After that, I tried calling to find out when the other manager, Bekah, would be available. She answered the phone five times in a row and hung up on me each time without saying a word.

I’m genuinely shocked to receive that kind of treatment just for asking a simple question. It’s disappointing, especially after being a loyal customer for so long.

UPDATE: Melinda straight up lied to her manager and accused me of yelling and cursing at her over the phone, which is simply not true. Unfortunately her manger Bekah Believed her and threatened to cancel my membership. It’s very concerning and disappointing to be falsely accused of something I did not do, especially after being a respectful and loyal member for over 5 years. I hope this will be addressed internally, because no one should be treated this way or have false statements made about them.

UPDATE: manager initially told me she would “certainly” process a refund, only to completely backtrack the very next day, saying I should’ve read the handbook. That kind of flip-flopping and lack of accountability is unacceptable. This gym does not operate with integrity, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a place that values its members or handles issues professionally.

I had a very disappointing experience at this gym. The staff made false accusations about me, and when I asked to speak with a manager to clear things up, I was completely dismissed. Instead of listening, the manager defended the staff without addressing the issue. She initially told me I would receive a refund, only to change her mind days later and say I should have read the handbook. This entire situation felt like an attempt to avoid accountability rather than solve the problem. I would not recommend this gym due to their lack of professionalism, poor communication, and unwillingness to treat members with fairness and respect.

Genuinely one of the worst experiences I had with a personal trainer in all my years. I've had ex military turned trainers that took more time to educate me using kindness and understanding on how to build a plan. It was a free session though, so at least there's that

Edit+explanation; so now that I finished crying over that experience, I can explain exactly what happened. I had signed up about a week ago and they offered a free session with a trainer just to start so I could know where I'm starting at and they could give me a general outline for a routine to build. I showed up about 2 minutes late unfortunately, but it didn't really matter because she was about 20 minutes late. I asked at the front desk because they said I would just have to go and ask and they would be ready for me when I had initially signed up, however, when I went in to ask this time around they went to the office and then just told me to sit down. I was waiting and waiting and waiting before I went up and asked if she was actually coming out and they said that she was busy doing her personal workout and that once she was done she would come and meet me. I waited and waited and waited and then finally about 20 minutes from when we were supposed to start she showed up. We did the basics of the machine just so they could get my BMI and all that stuff and then she had me do three different exercises to show her where I was at. I've always struggled with feeling any type of sensations/pain whenever I exercise. So I need somebody to show me exactly how I'm supposed to do something so I can do it correctly, and when I had tried asking for that she just told me I was doing the exercises wrong and I needed to learn how to do it correctly despite one of the things we mentioned was that I had no foundation. As the conversation continued, I started to realize that she was trying to upsell me on the protein powder that they sell at the front desk, and then because again I had no foundation she started trying to sell me on a personal trainer. I declined because right now I do not have the money or the time to be dedicating myself to having a personal trainer, and I did have some people in my life who were taking the time to help me build a routine because I prefer to work by myself. She got upset and started insisting that I have a personal trainer because there was no way I was going to hit any of my goals if I didn't have one and that I was definitely going to hurt myself and I was definitely not going to get anywhere. I tried getting out of the conversation by mentioning that one of the people in my life is getting his certifications to become a personal trainer and because of that he's been giving my husband sessions and that I was building off of that. She still seemed frustrated but she got up, told me she would email me my results, and then left. I didn't know if the session was over or not, but at this point I was already incredibly frustrated with the being late, the inability to truly instruct me on how to do anything, and the over insistence on pushing me to spend more money on things that I don't necessarily think I need right now, I simply got up and I went to my car and cried. Yes, I'm a beginner but it is incredibly hard to feel welcomed in an environment where you are meant to be bettering yourself when there's just somebody trying to get you to spend money like some sort of snake oil man. I will be taking my results to my friend who does have his education and experiences so that he can build me a plan instead. The session was free, and I guess for the time being I will continue being at this gym until something better arrives and I can leave. I will have to take the same approach that my friend does at this gym and just avoid the trainers and staff seeing as they are more interested in making more profit than genuinely helping.

To cancel membership they make it hard, just beware you have to pay two months ahead. The gym equipment is not well maintained and customer service is not great either. Beware they have a Visa updater so if you stop paying they will find your new Visa debit or Visa credit card regardless and charge you an outrageous 200 dollar fee and plus the monthly membership payment. Best thing to do is think twice of joining at this location and do not succumb to their initial greet, because all they want is to meet their quota and after they treat you like you’re trapped and disregard your request.

Also, I switched from this Crunch from a different one and this one didn’t have as many things and a wish is badly organized.

You couldn’t use both of the racks in the open corner… (those little notches in the picture didn’t allow for great use of that rack.)

I really enjoyed this gym while I went. But they seem to have some dishonest practices. First, I signed a year contract for the basic plan, $9.99/month. They then told me they had a deal to discount your plan a further $2 per month if you link your bank account directly instead of a card. I did so. I asked to cancel recently at the end of my year. I spoke with the operating manager, Bekah, via email. She told me I still owed one month on my year, which had to be paid, and then my account would be cancelled. This cancellation did not occur, and then they attempted to charge me $40+ to renew my year and overdrafted my account. I went in person to ensure my account was closed, and signed the needed documents. Turn around to today, and they charged me $46 for no reason, after my cancellation. I guess I have no choice at this point but to chargeback these charges with my bank. This unauthorized charge also brought to my attention that I was not receiving my promised $2 discount either.

Waiting on the new walzem location. Switched over from tru fit and will be going back until that membership expires - just speaking for this location as I haven’t been to others. It smells, the ac has been down so it was very uncomfortable to work out , the machines are gross, there’s accumulated dust in the obvious locations that don’t get wiped down but users, which means they don’t get cleaned otherwise. The staff seem to be in their own world (I don’t care) lol and did I mention this location is gross and dirty? Just reviewing so they can hire help for detailed cleaned maybe once a month.

Sucks to say the Crunch at Woodlake has bad customer service. I went in asking about the free week trial. I mentioned I am new to town and wanted to try out the gym, Emily, (which did not want to give me her last name) then said you have to be a local resident to get the free week pass. I said OK I left to my vehicle then proceeded to get a free day pass online. I went back in and showed them the email cause all it says is to show them at the front desk your free day pass (no where online does it say you have to be a resident or have a local ID). Emily said OK let’s get your information I need your ID but you have to have a local ID. I then stated again, I’m new into town and in Texas it takes forever just to get a state ID. All I wanted to do was work out on a Sunday evening and check out the vibes. If anything all it made me have was a bad taste for this location. Went to Planet fitness down the road and they let me workout with a day pass (no local ID needed).

I have been to this gym once and kept my membership because I never had time to go in and cancel it because of my job. It’s ridiculous that you can’t cancel it online. I could sign up for it online but couldn’t cancel it online. I went in to cancel it after over a year of paying them over $32 a month and they told me I had to pay $91 to cancel it because my annual fees were coming up. You have been getting money from me for over a year for nothing, now you are getting 2 annual fees from me for nothing and you’re telling me you can’t do anything to wave the fee and cancel it immediately. I came in to cancel it and you’re requiring a 30 day notice. There should be exceptions. Don’t get sucked in to this like I did. It’s not worth it. Not even great facilities and the people who work there obviously don’t care about people and are ok with taking their hard earned money for nothing. So wrong and unethical.

The customer service at front desk to include managers are so incompetent. My wife injured her knee and couldnt use membership for over a month, while recovering and when she called to cancel membership in the meantime so we dont get charged while not using gym she was told by manager Emily they needed a note from the doctor stating 1-she can't work out and 2-that she did have a knee injury. Now first of all, if I can workout what does that have to do with canceling my membership?!
Unbelievable! Asking my wife to prove that she really injured her knee which she has ER form when she went to ER and follow up with regular doctor. All this to cancel a membership - after this whole experience of making my wife feels as if she did something wrong we will never return to the gym. Just the worse people skills.

Untrustworthy staff that hides behind emails and never responds.

I had cancelled my membership over 4 months ago, and my cancellation was never processed. I am now being hit with a $200+ bill. Stay away from this predatory gym with terrible policies and no willingness to work with their customers. Filed reports with the BBB, and taking action against them through the texas deceptive trade practices act.

Moved back from Eugene, Oregon a year ago and was looking for a gym. I signed up last month after looking for a while. Yesterday was my first day and I brought my husband along. He's super picky about working out, but he loved it and so did I. The lady at the front desk, (Holly?), was super nice. And answered all of our questions. We came back today right before peak time and it wasn't as crazy as my previous gym experiences. It's probably the cleanest gym I've ever been to for being a bigger gym. It's our new go-to. We are hoping to go to the classes and possibly take advantage of the personal trainers available.

What I like about this location is that they keep the facility clean. I've been in a Sacramento location in the arden mall. That facility is dirty. Blood was on the walls in the tanning booth area for 4 weeks. I asked 6 times to clean it up and they never cleaned it up. I finally cleaned the blood off the walls.

The gym is very clean, staff is friendly, and classes are fun. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to get into a class (cycling, specifically) because most of their bikes are broken down and they won’t fix or replace them. There is a “bike graveyard” at the front of the cycle studio that, if fixed, would open up a ton of spots for people to be able to join the class!

Also, some of the machines are broken which makes working out difficult.

Today i dropped my child off at the child care and the lady staff were very unprofessional not attending my child while she was crying passing her around like they didn’t know what to do so I stood outside the door and just decided to not leave my baby there. They should have a staff with toddler experience not just let them cry there’s no toys to play with at all besides 2 push toys. They didn't have the patience nor the knowledge calm her down and make her feel comfortable to stay there she was scared and frightened. I’ve never experienced this at any other fitness gym. I hope management take care of this issue with there staff.

I am extremely upset with this location. I haven’t been to the gym in over three weeks, almost 4 weeks now due to discrimination and acts of harassment due to staff changes for holding a vape in my shoe. I’ve been going to this location now almost a year and when I first started going, it was great, but I noticed that slowly, but surely they fired all of the African-American employees And hired nothing but Caucasians and every single person hired was very rude and I felt like it was a high school objective behind the harassment, almost as in bullying. The day of the incident I walked into the gym, signed in as usual and went straight to the Matt area to go stretch. I was back there for maybe 15 to 20 minutes and my vape was in my sports bra, but I moved it to my shoe and the minute that I moved it and employee walked up to me and started harassing me about their no vape policy, and I asked was I or was I not allowed to even bring my vape through the door And the employee named Emilie told me over and over that I’m not allowed to have it at all as I sat there, I noticed that the minute that I looked up as I continue to stretch The employees at the front were giggling and watching me so I went to the front and tried to complain to the boss or manager, and the minute that I asked for one, they proceeded to tell me that there was not one present when I arrived into the building the manager had A black shirt on and she tried to change her shirt as if she was no longer on duty and walking around as a customer so arguing back-and-forth eventually got old so I tried to cancel my membership, they proceeded to try to charge me my yearly fee and my monthly fee upfront just to cancel my membership and continue to stay to try to charge my card over and over and over to get money for membership even though there was a zero dollar balance, and I was paid up-to-date The employees proceeded to laugh and giggle, and basically just make me feel helpless and at one point I really loved going to this gym so it was really shocking to see how they treated me as soon as the only thing that I was worth was my money. They really had the best people, but once they started getting rid of all the people that made the gym the way it was, and the atmosphere and environment that it was it just was never the same. A lot of the people that used to go normally changed their memberships to golds gym and that new fitness connection place. And after changing my gym membership to the new gym, I’m at it’s called fitness connection. It is the greatest gym ever the people there are nothing but positive and I cannot believe that I had this experience with Crunch. I hope that the boss and the management really change up their perspective and the way that they talk to people because this was a learning lesson for me this goes out to you, Becca and Emilie and HOLLIE!!!!!!!! Hollie you were by far the worst one !!!……..

Update:3/18/25
I have still not received the response From Crunch, I sent them an email about seven days ago and have not heard back from anyone. I will now be filing criminal discrimination charges and criminal harassment charges. I feel like standards were not appealed and even after I asked for help and reached out to their website and their emails and no one responds to me because they know that they are in the wrong. They continue to duck and dodge me at the locations and every time I’ve gone in and asked they’ve always said that they don’t have a manager there so apparently the entire facility is corrupt. I honestly think that all of this transpired due to the fact that they have no rules there and don’t follow any policies except the ones that they hold For the people that they hold them for I hope that they do something soon before the lawyers get involved I was really trying to resolve the issue…

I’ve been to ALOT of gyms and this one is actually pretty good. Even when it’s peak hours, there is plenty of equipment. Wish they’d get more ropes for the cables. Friendly staff greets you as soon as you walk in. Disinfectant spray and towels are usually stocked. Only time I’ve seen any out are around 7:00pm at peak hours. People generally good about wiping down machines and the worker seems to be there 7 days a week cleaning off other machines.

This gym seems like a great gym but the main problems after a year are never addressed. The music is so loud sometimes it’s pointless to wear my AirPod Max, the A/C is always blasting, the music during the classes are loud and played at the same time as the regular gym music creating a mess of sound and half the time the front staff isn’t present. Otherwise this gym is still worth going to if you ignore everything. Oh and getting a toilet in the men’s restroom is like a living Hunger Games scenario.

Update a year later:
Raised my review to 4 star, as the major issue i have regarding the childcare has semi resolved as people either aren't willing to wait as long, or aren't bringing in their kids as often. There is pretty often a 30-60min wait Mon-Thursday (though the wait on Thursday is frequently only 20-30min), but very rarely to never a wait Fri-Sun.

(Original review, 3 star) The gym itself is nice. It's new, so still clean with no broken equipment. The large number of multi-use squat/deadlift racks with plenty of plates is awesome. The plethora of dumbbells, with many at each weight level is probably the best I've ever seen. Locker room is a bit small, but that seems to help force people out to actually workout, instead of chill in the locker room.

My major issue is with how the childcare is handled. Nearly every time I come in, the wait for childcare is 15-40 minutes. The ratio of kids to staff is 10:1, which is good. But they only have 2 staff there at a time. It's not the ladies at the childcare area's fault at all, but it's very frustrating. The only time I've seen staff pulled in to assist was when the wait list hit 20 kids. I've seen them ask for help, but be told all the other staff will be busy with tours.

I think this issue could be solved by management looking at the average attendance every day, and when peak hours are, to assign people as needed, or be willing to flex personnel to cover. If they can do that, this gym will be a 5/5 star for sure.

2/26/25 Quick update please see response in pictures how they helped me out with still charging me another month of not using their gym and I’m living on the se side taking care of my mom. 18 miles away.

Never used membership. I take care of my mother and I had placed a call to cancel, and I thought my membership was canceled after that. While reviewing bank statements. I was seeing that I was still being charged $10 a month for about six months. I know that it’s my fault but I am really busy with working and taking care of my mom. I went to cancel at the location and I was told by the manager that I Will still get charged for another? month due to 30 days notice which is crap it’s February 1st and I’m still gonna get charged for March. I even explained that I no longer live on this side of town. I’m on the south east side. They can tell I never checked in. I was still told that nothing could be rectified. I can definitely see why planet fitness has more locations due to lack of customer service.

At first, I rated this a five-star gym. However, I have to downgrade them to just average. Mainly due to maintenance. Machines brake, and they stay broke. The "rest days" turn into months. Other equipment needed work as well, and i counted 16 bulbs out in the red light machine. I will say that when the main janitor is there, it is one of the cleanest gyms out there. The dude works his butt off. I really hope management gets their act together and address broken stuff in a timely matter because I really like this place and hope it doesn't turn into a dump.

Daycare services are cantankerous, there’s never enough staff and they’re always rude. Honestly the daycare is a waste, it’s never available. There needs to be an alert on the app that shows the daycare is full a there needs to be a digital waiting list just like the classes have it. Day care is unorganized and all the kids do is aimlessly walk around while the workers look at their phone and shop. Trust this is not the first time they found a reason to be unavailable this is about the 5th time I’ve come to the gym dressed ready for class an denied for whatever reason they can come up with. Whether it’s short staff, or just terrible customer service. It’s awful even the kids are uncomfortable to walking in. Every time we head there my kids assume the workers are going to be rude. My kids will motivate me to come to the gym tired and restless, just for the gym to automatically deny me. What am I paying premium for if I can’t use all of my services with a 24 gym?

The sheer volume of people setting up cameras and filming. I have been only three times and witnessed a woman doing a video skit “naked” in (bra and string thong). The staff found humor in it. The personal trainers they have are very inappropiate, and primarily prey on the woman trying to work out in peace. There is only a specific type that they are choosing to train. Overall the attire they allow women to come to this particular gym is beyond unreasonable. It is impossible to work out in this “night club”.

I am so disappointed... I love this gym, the staff, the cleanliness, the equipment, but I am so disappointed with the response I received about males in the women's locker room. On 4 occasions (twice the same individual)I have had males enter the sauna in the women's locker room. I've addressed the front desk and then emailed. The response I received was that their policy states that guests can use the facility that matches their gender identity. First of all none of these individuals were identifying as female. This is a space where women change and shower and should feel comfortable and safe doing so. Now you've allowed males into a womens space to accommodate a small percentage of the population and open this space for men to access freely and all they need to say, "well I identify as a woman". While pretty much telling women that you do not care about their safety, comfort or feelings. To remedy the situation I was told I could cancel MY membership without further charges... It's a sad world when you don't have the right to a safe and private space and you're told you can just cancel.. why two locker rooms then?

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my experience at your gym. In June, during my first month of membership, I observed that people were occupying the equipment while using their phones, which hindered my ability to use the facilities. Consequently, I decided to cancel my membership.

However, I recently received an email from the assistant GM, Hollie Loney, informing me that I owe almost $190 and that my account will be sent to collections if I do not pay. I provided proof that I had already canceled my membership and have not visited any of your gyms since June, as I believed the cancellation had been processed.

Ms. Loney responded by stating that the cancellation was not reflected in the system and that I must pay the outstanding amount before canceling again. I find it unacceptable that I am being held responsible for a mistake made by your employees.

I have reported this issue to the Better Business Bureau and would appreciate a prompt resolution to this matter.

If I could I would give a 0 star. I been going here since they open up. And enjoyed working out and going to the sauna and the classes if you stay after this I recommend going to Mr. Comeonsomebody Zumba class Monday & Wednesday at 7 and anything Coach Nico does especially the Round it out and web Trx and hot Pilates. So I been going here almost a year & I am a single mom so I had the perks membership that comes with the child care. Well let me tell you I messed up signing up for a trainer at 1st I could afford the 70 dollars every two weeks. Then I lost my job and couldn’t afford the trainer and my regular membership so the trainer Manger at the time gave me the option of freezing my account with them. I asked her if it would ever unfreeze and was told no it stays frozen till I decide to unfreeze it well that I found out last month was a huge lie. When I went to go work out like I do always just to be told I owe them 350 and it’s in collections and I had to either pay all of that or pay 70 dollars to start over new and if not my membership will be at risk of being terminated. I was also told that my account became unfrozen way back in Jan and like I just mentioned I been going to the gym on a daily and was never told hey you trainer account been unfrozen. And also like I said I’m a single parent trying to strong arm me and force me to pay 350 or 70 to keep my membership when it’s yall who was at fault is crazy. And after looking at the reviews is an ongoing thing that they are well known for doing which is scamming and screwing over their clients. After looking at the reviews im surprised that no one sue them yet and that they are still open. I called to talk to an manager and no one gotten back to me as of now. Yall stay yall self the trouble and don’t come here. It’s a 10 out of 10 I WILL DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND. They refuse payment plans they don’t let you know what’s going on with your account financially. It’s true all about how much money they can get out of innocents ppl. And the gym was a good place to help me with my chronic depression I had now I’m thinking about going back to PF or going to YMCA who has a program where they go by your income to help you with your membership. Whoever the owners are for this gym is full of greed and lack compassion and morals and don’t truly care about their patrons

Place is a scam. Cancel anytime? Nope, make sure you read the fine fine print OR just go to planet fitness. Their staff is better anyways. Tried to cancel and they started that I signed a 12 month commitment, which is false, I even showed the lady my sign up email, nothing in there stated a 12 month commitment. So I still owed $50ish dollars. I asked if she could just have it not renewed and the end of the "commitment" she flat out said no, and that everything was owed up from. BULLCRAP!!! DONT GO HERE, the equipment and facilities are any better than planet fitness, and PF is cheaper.

Another fun update: I've now been gaslit by 2 employees saying "it's not cold in here!", "you should see our electricity bill" and "the thermostat is set to 76 degrees." Obviously I'm glad it's not too hot here but good hell when everyone is complaining why don't you just make it slightly more comfortable instead of freezing cold?

Edit after coming a few months: It's clear they don't care about their customers because the music is still unbearable loud and it's still freezing cold. Even my husband is sick of it being so cold and he's never cold. The manager Bekah says she's going to put Tru Fit out of business but I highly doubt that after seeing how their care about our feedback.

Nice big gym (especially for the area) but like many people have stated, the music is deafening. Additionally, the gym is freezing cold. I normally wouldn’t complain because Texas gets so hot but the AC makes my workouts really suffer. I get that they probably don’t want people lingering but it’s easily 63-65° and that’s just way too cold for me.

**WARNING: Do NOT trust Crunch Fitness!** I had two employees come into my small business and they had sign me up for a so-called "free membership" for a gym that hadn't even opened yet. I later called to cancel the membership, and the two girls assured me it was canceled. Fast forward a few months, and I get a call from Crunch Fitness demanding payment for a membership I never even used! I explained, once again, that I had never set foot in their gym and had already asked to cancel. They said they’d take care of it, but of course, they did nothing.

Now, a few months later, I'm being harassed by a collections agency for $200 for a place I've never even been to! This is beyond ridiculous. Crunch Fitness is nothing but a scam, tricking people with "free memberships" and then hounding them for money. It’s an amazing gym with an amazing manager Holly who has done everything she can to help me. This company does not cater to disabled people I she epilepsy so sometimes I’m in the hospital for months at a time. I show all of my paper work and they won’t let me work out a payment plan and be able to work out until my balance of nearly $200 is paid. They also said the balance and late fees will continue to go up. It’s all about money with this company and that’s not okay at app of Im having seizures and in the hospital that means I’m not working at the moment and I tried to set up a payment arrangement so that I can work out and catch up but they do not seem to care one bit!! It’s all about money. People with disabilities shouldn’t be treated this was. Having to pay for and go into debt because they refuse to let me have a payment arrangement knowing I was in the hospital. I haven’t been to the gym since may this is ridiculous and it’s so frustrating. And I can’t get ahold of anyone that’s corporate. This gym does not care about the disabled just money!

Rude customer service, some of these employees don't have any manners and are extremely rude. They need to find individuals that are qualified to speak to people.

There is no way to contact them by phone. Every attempt to have the manager call me has failed. I'm told he is the only one who can do what I'm asking yet is not willing to return messages left.

Good luck trying to CANCEL. They SAY no contract but it's not true.

You have to KEEP YOUR MEMBERSHIP for at least 60 days-- long enough for them to charge you that MEMBERSHIP FEE they claimed to waive during dignup-- AND give a 30-day written notice to cancel TO CANCEL. That's worse than a contract!

And worse, unless you pay the entire balance, they will KEEP BILLING YOU every month. In other words, they make it practically impossible to cancel.

This is the shadiest gym I've ever encountered. Do NOT sign up here unless you KNOW you'll live in the gym.

Crunch gym … will never go there, don’t recommend it for anyone because of their business model. I had tried to sign up online for a membership that never seemed to go through and gave up. Months later I went in person and was told I had a membership that was not paid and went to collections. No messages, No e-mails, No text, nothing until I tried to go and was told No… customer service was no help, had to pay $176.00 to debt collectors for a service I never received , not one visit. Never have my business in the future and will recommend avoiding them to all.

Come to this gym with my husband because it’s convenient and close but every time we come it’s colder and colder you can not even sweat during your workout it’s blowing the a/c so cold the moment you walk out of the sauna you have to put a hoodie on to make it through your workout. Nothing worse than working out and being freezing cold

My Husband takes our 3 year old daughter here and we loved it. Now the employees themselves have said nothing bad about my daughter, she makes friends with everyone and does not hurt or cause any problems with other children of any age.

There was an incident regarding my daughter and another child who was older than her (our guess is 6/7). Based on what my daughter has showed me, it seems like her hair was pulled.
Now if you know the older children do not get along with the younger ones, why is there no separation? Also why do yall not call both parents to assess the situation at the same time? What is the policy on children hurting other children? Is there a warning? Also I read that personal belongings are suppose to be kept in the cubbies and not brought into the actual play area with the other kids and I’m assuming it’s due to some kids not being able to share?

If the childcare is going to provide toys or game consoles for the children then the least that the parents or employees could do is teach the children to share.

I do want to state that the employees did their best to diffuse the accident that happened, and pulled both parents at different times to say what happened. Now when my husband asked, the employee said there is confidentiality in line to not tell us who the kid or parents were and we understand that.

Bottom line is both parents should’ve been addressed at the same time or told the same thing. We don’t know everything that happened and only telling the parent of the kid that caused it, does not help or clarify what happened with the parents of the child that got hurt. In other words we are left not knowing what exactly happened when our child was in yall’s care.

Update: the employees didn’t state what happened to our child, so I’m assuming they weren’t watching the children like they were suppose to? I understand it may have been packed being that around the time we went, the childcare was beyond packed with kids. It still doesn’t justify not knowing what happened to my child and the other.

Hello just saying this is a great gym but in the kids club the teachers verbally shout at the kids. It seems mean. Also I wish they add a pool.

They use “agreement” instead of contacts to lock you in. Beware have to give 30 day notice of cancellation and you’ll still be charged.

I was in town for the military so used the gym for two weeks. The gym itself and equipment is nice. However for someone who needed to workout and shower there I was less then impressed. They must have spent all their money on the gym equipment because the dressing room and showers were kinda amusing.

There were three male showers. Two of the three showers had water pressure that pretty much rendered it useless(see attached video). I don’t think they clean the showers on the weekend because for three days I kept seeing the same hair and bandaids stuck to the walls of the shower.

The staff however is very friendly and helpful.

I like this gym. They have a lot of equipment and aren't expensive. My only gripe is the lack of quantity of certain types of machines that people have to wait around for sometimes. But that's only like 4 machines. The rest have plenty of extras for more than a couple of people to use. The nice thing about this gym is the variety of people coming in. It's not just full of would-be body builders, and it isn't a mockery of a gym like Planet Fitness. There's room for everyone to feel comfortable being there from the entire fitness spectrum.

Dear diary, today i went to crunch to get my crunch on and it was pretty successful! the only thing i would change to make my review 5 stars is LOWERING THE MUSIC VOLUME LMFAO i had to yell in order to talk with my gym bae. Another change would be in the sauna. The sauna does not get hot enough and i think it’s because of the door letting out all the heat. i’ll attach a pic so yall can see that massive opening on the bottom 💀. The staff is really friendly and chill tho so props to them especially the girls at the night shift !

I would rate this gym a 5 Star But there is literally just simple Things that can be fixed in about a minute to make this a True 5 star gym. First it’s the music. Who actually listens to the music and yea I get it without it, it would make a awkward Environment but Making it to the point you have to LITERALLY YELL to people to talk is extremely Annoying and frustrated. This is the last thing that would make this gym top tier. ITS TOO COLD FOR NO REASON, I Get it, it’s Texas and it’s hot. But I have to bring a Hoodie that has Lining in it to be in a comfortable setting. I’m telling you, if you come to this gym without a Hoodie or a Sweater, Good Luck getting a decent workout. I’m telling you it’s almost 60 degrees in there and I Love the cold. But when it hinders your workout to the point where you have to leave early because it’s too cold is ridiculous. If this gym would fix these issues I would rate it 5 Stars Easily.

The selling point here is the amount of heavy bags and free weights. The sauna is horrible, the door isn't insulated and let's all the heat out. So you never get the actually temp or benefits. Also the thermostat is right by the heater, so it doesn't actually get the whole room to even a 140 temp. The red light does provide a minimal increase in nitric oxide, used a test stripe before and after. The people are nice and environment is good. But if you want a legit sauna, they don't even half way compare to la fitness. If they fixed the door it may actually be a bit better.

Update: 4-9-24
This gym is still going strong but the cleanliness of the gym and bathroom cleanliness/maintenance has gone down. The bathroom is constantly dirty and the gym equipment is just nasty sometimes.

Love the place already! It's not crowded like I thought it would be. There's enough room and machine for everyone. I do wish they had a stretching area. I miss my old Crunch gym from Gulfport, MS but this place is so much bigger. I hope they maintain this place well.

Half of the cables are broken, when they have a class they block out half of the gym, and they do their classes around busy gym time. Worker kicked me out mid workout because I was in their “zone”, which I get it, I really do. But he stopped me mid set and was pretty rude about it. I was literally using the rope tucked towards the wall, which I guarantee they weren’t going to use

Pretty disappointed about the kids service here. Tried to show up for a 6:15 cycling class and had to drop off my child but when I tried to check him in, the employees told me they were at capacity. I completely missed my class and did not get to work out at all. I was not the only one in this situation, a few parents and their kids were left to wait for a spot and some even left. There needs to be a solution to this problem. Y’all need a bigger space or something, this can’t keep happening.
