I had the absolute worse experience here. Sucks cause I was going here for years. Untill I re opened my account and lost my car due to a wrecked. I had no transportation AT ALL to go up there in person to cancel my account and they refused to do it over the phone... I ended up having to wait and literally excepting the 45 dollars taken EVERY month when I hadnt got to use them not once!! Then I got my income tax and they ended up charging me almost 200 and made me go into the negative on my account! I finally was able to get a ride to them and then they wouldn't accept my payment because I had cash and I wasn't able to put money on my account because of them!! Now almost half a year later finally pulling myself out of debt and getting stuff put to gether I found out they were trying to charge my account 400 freaking dollars every other day! This place is full of crooks and every last one of them shamed/ acted like it was cause I didnt wanna take care of my self physically. I will never step foot in this place and every last person that works here is heartless/ judgmental (front desk wise) absolute bs!

Outdated Nautilus equipment. Ice cold showers, barely running water. Men's locker room not so clean, especially floors and sink areas. Cable alignments on machines not aligned. General manager doesn't have time to care

Gym was ok for a Crunch. However they seem to allow people with gimbals and phones to record everywhere including the locker rooms. Saw people doing it in front of staff and nothing was said. I could be wrong but this isn’t just completely unacceptable but probably illegal yet they seem to ok with it.

DISAPPOINTED! I got several charges on my credit card after my daughter’s membership was canceled. Crunch refuses to issue a refund. They are dishonest and abuse your trust. 💔😞

Awesome bag set up, ducked off in the corner so no classes interrupt your own little private boxing cardio sesh, unlike other crunch fitness’s that will have you move around until they’re finished

I have been a member here for 2 years now. I had my third child July ‘24. So when she turned a year old we were all looking forward to going back to the gym. I called and asked if I needed to bring any form of verification for my youngest and the gentleman on the phone said it wasn’t necessary.
After 2 weeks of being back and not having a problem from the morning daycare ladies- I got a phone call from the girls who were working the evening shift. The girl on the phone stated my baby needed to be 18 months to be in the daycare. When I mentioned the website said other wise she said she’d call me back, she never did. So I continued my workout. When I came to pick up my kids from the daycare they told me I needed to provide proof that she was 12 months old because my baby was “smaller than other 1 yr olds and wasn’t walking yet.” When I spoke with the blonde manager she said she made this a “teaching moment” for her “girls”. Well, that also made them lose a customer. My daughter is smaller because she was premature and most children do not walk til 12-15 months. I don’t want to say I felt discriminated against, but i definitely feel like they judged a situation and went about it the wrong way. After paying for the peak membership, plus extra $10 for my third child…I might as well go to the YMCA. Which is where we will be going after today.

I’m a member of crunch fitness in Temple. I have peak results which means that my kid gets to go to the kids club. I was told by the Temple location that with peak results when I work out in Waco area, my kid can go to the kids club in Waco area. The staff were unsure in Waco on whether or not my child could attend kids club. We scanned the barcode he came up in the system. Two of the staff members were saying yes that shouldn’t be a problem, but let’s ask our manager just to be sure we asked the manager and she says Think it’ll work that way because of insurance I don’t know why crunch can’t afford insurance for all peak results in there LLC but according to the manager, they couldn’t. She said she would ask her higher-ups just to make sure she was correct but she says she was always told no. I wish that Temple and Waco could communicate better because it doesn’t seem Like Waco really knows what they can and can’t do

Truckers I wouldn’t pull my full combo here. Busy shopping center. Busy Crunch location. Just bobtail. I wouldn’t overnight park here either. Still can bobtail and workout no issues. NO SAUNA and the lighting sucks but, plenty of equipment. Zero issues getting to any equipment even when it was really crowded. Clean. Some equipment needs re-padding but, given how busy they are that’s not surprising.

I have been a member since 2019 when I signed up in the parking lot while the gym was finishing being built! I have since gotten married and have a son. My son has gone with me for the last year and a half to the kids crunch and the staff has been amazing and consistent. Felicia is in there most days and is always so caring and informative, idk if we would have continued on after I had my baby if not be for the trusting relationships I have had with them. I love the group fitness, the gym is clean, and I mean CLEAN, I love all the beds and benefits this gym offers, it really is the best gym in town! Especially for the price, my family is super grateful to all the staff and gym members who have become like family to us! xoxo

The staff here is great and I'm usually able to get in some pretty good workouts. The amount of waiting I do for the leg extension machines and chest fly is pretty bad though. Just a few people missing proper gym etiquette that sit on their phone and take up those machines for forever.

I am honestly, pleasantly surprised. I tried Crunch out a few years ago when it first opened. At the time it seemed crowded all the time so I didn’t sign up & kept a membership at another gym.
I keep a gym membership mostly to tan as I had been working out on my own but recently after lots of gross experiences at “the other gym” my friend. Convinced me to switch gyms.
Yall I couldn’t be happier. Is it a box gym, yes, but somehow it’s different. The staff is kind & helpful. The classes are appropriately filled & never feel crowded. The gym is CLEAN!! And I mean, clean clean, not just gym clean! I was disgusted at the other gym, but these tanning beds are cleaner than tanning beds at salons!!!
I’m absolutely impressed with what the current management has done!! It’s your hometown gym with better equipment!! 😂😂

Don’t try and cancel your membership. It’s impossible to cancel. These people use subsidiary companies to pull payments even after you issue a stop payment. I hear Planet Fitness is worse. Corporate greed at it’s finest. These people are crooks and so surprised nobody has sued these people.
Moving on… this is a massive self glazing gym. Everyone got their phones taking pics, hogging weights, what a circus 🎪

The staff is incredibly friendly. Always feel welcome. Unfortunately, I attend regularly during peak hours and the gym is really over crowded during those times. During non peak hours however, there is excellent access to a large variety of well maintained equipment.

I'm leaving a bad review while everything seemed nice. I joined and then end my membership. 3 months later, when my gym Buddy, stop coming with me and I went to the front desk and canceled my membership," the receptionist said she ended it after she was done typing on the computer.". I just found out to day. They've been charging me ever since even though I canceled, it's been over 8 years.
I check my accounts.I should do it more often

I would rate zero stars if possible. But one star will do. A day pass isn’t a day pass until you are verbally “interested”. Was turned away at the door with my email of a day pass. Was accused of “arguing” with the woman who thought wearing a robe was appropriate work attire. smh… Happy Labor Day! They will be the only gym open but won’t allow you to workout! :)

Be careful to cancel the membership. They charge double price within 2 months in order you can sumbit the cancellation. Also, I had to pay the annual fee of $55. If I want to keep the membership to save the annual fee, then I have to pay $40 for the renewal contract. It is a trick for this type of membership.
Also, they will charge a fee if you pay by credit card
If there is 0 star, I would like to give to them

I have loved my experience at crunch. I signed up for the transformation challenge and had two private sessions out of it with Colton. He was happy to answer any questions I had and I left the last session feeling knowledgeable about how to go forward. He was very clear about what would work for me and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. The rest of staff is friendly and it's been a pleasure to get to know them. Even if they aren't your personal trainer they are encouraging and help motivate you to do your best.
The gym overall is great and fairly clean considering I go at the busiest time of day. My 1 year old loves the Kids Crunch. They are patient, kind, and willing try with me since occasionally she gets separation aniexty. Can't say enough great things about their staff.
I do wish they had more ab focused machines besides the one but they certainly make the most with what space they have. My only suggestion would be to upgrade some machines, over time, for machines that may be more easily used by us short folks. Some machines are a little harder to maintain proper form for those with short legs.
Overall Crunch Fitness is and always will be my gym home. Yall are awesome!

I get that crunch is for the “regular gym goers” but good lord this place is so packed, regardless of time or day. Literally zero gym etiquette; good luck getting a bench in the dumbbell area, or asking someone if you can work in with them without an eye roll or snarky remark. The cables omg, do you guys test your equipment? One side shouldn’t pull more than the other or get hung up! Unfortunately since T3 decided to up their price like we’re living in Los Angeles crunch is the only real option

They use fake promo to steal your money. Don’t join for a free two weeks because it’s $28 dollars. You have to pay this before you cancel the membership. Not only that the gym is so busy you can barely get around it and use the machines and equipment. Staff is also rude and snobby.

Why did this business submit an authorized payment to a cancelled membership today, 02/2025, three years after the cancellation and still holding unto my banking information. You will be foolish to experience what I'm experiencing. Then to advise me after the computer generated payment, they can't reimburse me my $40.04. Staff have been a wee bit obnoxious for a while now especially in the back around group fitness and the ride studio. Can’t even work out or stretch with the lights dimmed they come in and turn the lights on without warning or reasoning. If it’s not allowed then at the very least they could say “hey guys the lights have to stay on.” Or even simply put up a sign but turning on all the lights after someone’s been sitting in a dimly lit room is inconsiderate of the staff. Zero regard for how someone’s eyes could react to that or how uncomfortable that would feel.
Obviously there are rules but the way they’ve been going about enforcing them is not the best way.
I honestly don’t see the problem with having lights dimmed, completely turned off is one thing but when they’re dimmed are they not still on?..is everything not still visible? I know there is a storage area that shares a light with the group fitness room and again understandable but when it’s not in use what’s the problem with the lights being turned down a little?
And When I asked about it they said it was because men were taking their shirts off..how is that any different than a woman walking around in a sports bra?

Also, some workers are either bias or very judgmental, it clearly shows.

I’ve had a membership here for years. Not by choice. Predatory company with a predatory billing system. They won’t let you cancel unless you come in the store (don’t live nearby) or jump through hoops online. They sure don’t have any issue charging you each month. Wish I could give less than 1 star.

I did a tour and was excited with everything they offered, especially child care, until we went to childcare. Very disappointing, hardly any toys for the kids to play with. Both the teachers were sitting up front not watching or interacting with the kids. They don’t allow snacks ( which idk about you but my toddler loves snacks) and they don’t allow them to have a drink in there either.
It’s such a bummer for us parents who need a gym that provides childcare :(
Our previous gym had wonderful teachers who interacted with all the kids, let them have snacks and had LOTS of toys to choose from.
I personally did not workout here, but other than childcare the amenities they had were exciting ( red light machines 😍)

I've had a great experience so far with joining here and getting started on my fitness journey. The staff has been very friendly and knowledgeable when answeringy questions and helping me get aquatinted with the gym. I haven't worked on regularly since high school so I knew getting off to a good start would be important to setting a routine and meeting my goals long term.
I utilized the free consultation with a trainer and after meeting with Al, decided to sign up for the 30 day plan with once weekly sessions with him. He did a great job listening to me in the consultation and setting up work outs that I can actually do, but still push me. (Shout to Adrianna for recommending Al!)

Machines are constantly out of order, especially the stair stepper machines. Also, they make it extremely difficult to cancel your membership even after I hadn't been to the gym in over a year but still was paying the membership fees went so far as to tell me that since I was no longer in the area I had to send a certified letter explaining my reason to cancel the membership even though I signed up for the membership online. Customer service was extremely rude and needs to be re-trained on how to provide proper services to people who are paying them to be in business. Buyers beware of these type of contracts.

Very disappointed with my experience. I finally decided to join a gym so I started looking into which gym was the best option for me. I went to Crunch in Waco and they had a great deal going on with the first month being free and I was even talked into getting the middle package deal and I didn’t mind because the first month was free and my friend also joined because of me so I would get another month free they said. Well that never happened I started getting charged as soon as I signed the contract. I called crunch and told them I was supposed to get the first month free and they said they could not refund me. I said that I just wanted to cancel my membership because I just started going there and the girl told me I would still be charged the membership fee because I didn’t give a month notice. Apparently Crunch fitness wants you to stick to your side of the deal while they don’t have to. Just make sure to check your bank statements and beware of the “free month” they snake you in with.

Edit: New Management helped me resolve this issue. They were polite on the phone and got back to me via email and Google reviews quickly. I appreciate them working with me to straighten things out.
**BUYER BEWARE** This was not communicated to me during sign up so please heed this warning: If you sign up for a year-long contract, that does not mean your contract ends after a year. They will continue to charge you monthly and even include a yearly charge despite you not signing up for another year without ANY prior notice.
The people at the front desk I spoke to about this were very polite but could not help me avoid this charge. I no longer live in Waco so I cannot use the service they are in effect forcing me to purchase. This seems dishonest and deceptive. I feel like I am having money stolen from me with the threat of this being sent to collections.

I gave a one star rating for multiple reasons which I will explain but one of the main factors is it is so crowded when Baylor is in session. During the summer it is fine because Baylor kids are not there but summer only lasts so long. Doesn't matter what time of day you go it is crowded. You have groups of Baylor kids (I am talking like 10-20 kids) gathering and grouping together which blocks a lot of the workout machines and areas and half the time they are just standing around talking and not even working out which is frustrating to those who are there to get their workout done and get out. Crunch has a great rate but there is a massive downside to this which is the college kids all come and join to "workout" which is actually just hang out, talk and block machines. If you see a machine that is open in their area and push through say excuse me all that and be polite they then proceed to crowd your space, steal your weights literally off of your bar or the dumbbells you are using or step on your backpack. The amount of times I had to say can you back up your butt is in my face is ridiculous. They just crowd and take over anything. At my time at crunch, I spoke with many regulars who had the same experience and it effects your gym progress because you just don't want to deal with the crowd and them and so then you stop going because their is no time where it isn't super crowded when Baylor is in session. If you state your problems of people literally crowding your space and butts in your space because of their crowd they will just tell you it's because it is a busy time. It doesn't matter when you go this is always the case. I have gone at 5am and every hour between 11pm and it is always the same situation.
My other reasoning for the 1 star is cancellation. I decided to cancel my membership due to this experience messing up my progress and me hating the gym due to the experience and I moved to a whole new gym. I cancelled back in September of 2022. They let me know have to give 30 days notice and I would be charged October month and then officially cancelled after that. Well let me tell you about that one. I was charged October and November. Went up there to talk to them and they said no record of my cancellation. They proceeded to say now I am officially cancelled and didn't refund me for November and I said whatever and locked the card they had on file because even though I was yet again told I was cancelled I didn't believe them and still was not provided anything stating I was cancelled. Glad I locked the card because they proceeded to try and charge me December. I just said whatever I am not dealing with this and even talked to customer service who said I wasn't cancelled and they even still did not proceed to cancel me because they have tried to charge me for January, February, and March. LOL you will never be cancelled. So my card has been replaced and that is the only way I am able to go away from Crunch.
Those are the main two points of my one star. Crowded and not enough space and then if you want to cancel good luck with that. There are a ton of other point I can give but this is already a long enough review and the other low star ratings hit those other points and more.

The gym itself was alright, but always super packed with people.
We had 2 separate memberships and tried to cancel them, due to us moving out of the area. We tried for just short of a year to cancel. We went in person, paid the fees, sent letters, and made phone calls to cancel the memberships. We were being charged every month while being assured over and over, that our memberships were canceled (This happened to us on 2 separate occasions, in Waco and Midland). It felt as tho we were being robbed.
I will not go to another Crunch again or recommend anyone else get a membership.

Love this place. I use the location in Waco, Temple, and Killeen the most, and Waco is by FAR the best and most spacious. Even at peak hours, you will most likely have plenty of floor space and equipment for functional strength training, at least. Equipment is well spaced apart and the changing rooms are clean. Staff is usually super nice. Class instructors are great too.

Overall it's a decent place, but there are a couple of areas where they could do better. On weekends, the bathrooms are not cleaned, so there's paper and hair everywhere. The second area is maintenance. The handicapped bathroom (only 1!) has been out of commission for 2 weeks now. It's pretty tough for those of us who need the safety bars.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I used to go to crunch a lot but not anymore. It gets so pack anyways and you have to constantly wait for things to get open. I had it as alternative. I used to have a Peak membership, I had paid my monthly and my yearly fee already. I needed to downgrade since I was paying so much for a gym I haven’t gone to in months. First, I thought it was ridiculous that I had to be there in person. I’ve downgraded before over the phone and signed the documents electronically, and it was no big deal then. When I tried to downgrade a second time from a Peak, they wouldn’t allow over the phone and were going to charge to downgrade. That’s ridiculous. This gym is a money eating place. Just two months ago from today, I paid almost $100 towards crunch. They charged me the yearly fee and monthly. Which I understood because I was aware and advised about it. Now that I’ve downgraded, 2 months later (today), they want to charge me another yearly fee + my membership (Base) since I downgraded. I literally just paid so much 2 months ago… I called and tried to get an explanation and was told because I downgraded, I had to pay a yearly fee again????? It hasn’t even been a year. That was never stated to me in person. I was never given the contract via email or person to even know if that was part of the contract. They are always changing things. All they said was sorry…Crunch is full of BS! They want to charge $60+ to cancel completely plus another month. That’s stupid.. I don’t want to pay for another month, I’m not coming back. Thats the point! I just want to cancel my membership completely and not pay another month…

I really like this gym because of the variety of workout options and styles. Variety of weights and machine. Classes are great. I enjoy the cycling classes and R&R yoga with Angela. That class alone is worth the price. Tanning beds and booths are included depending on membership chosen. Massage chairs are nice for cool downs. Staff is friendly as well.

As a linguistically-inclined individual with a penchant for fitness, I am thrilled to share my glowing review of Crunch Waco, a gym that has truly exceeded my expectations in every way imaginable.
From the moment I stepped foot inside this immaculate establishment, I was struck by the pristine condition of the equipment, the cleanliness of the facility, and the overall sense of professionalism that permeated every aspect of the gym. The wide array of state-of-the-art exercise machines, coupled with the ample space for functional training, makes Crunch Waco a veritable utopia for fitness enthusiasts looking to challenge themselves. I have never stepped foot in this gym but Uncle Ben has told me in his own words. Based.

Dear Crunch Fitness,
This is not a review, this is more of a call to action. I love using your gym and for the price, it works great for a broke college student. Although my experience at Crunch is great, your hand dryers in the restroom and lack of paper towels is unsanitary. Hand dryers do not do a good job of drying hands, and they do a great job of blowing bacteria from other people’s fecal onto your hands after you’ve washed them. Dryers harvest bacteria from fecal spray from public bathrooms and blow it onto people’s hands when it is used. Now, having this issue may not seem severe, but this is a public gym; It’s probably the most visited gym in Waco. With all of the machines being used and touched from people who’ve stuck their hands under that dryer, it is absolutely disgusting. You put out paper towels in other places in your gym, so I’m assuming adding them to the bathrooms will not be that much of an inconvenience. I’m sure you do not want poop machines in your gym. Please fix this issue.

I never called anybody racist just because they think differently than me. And this would be the 1st time I ever called anyone racist! Yes this place is racist.
Why they asked me where I am from? Just because I looked Asian or I have accent? I have my ID, a legit one. I am CITIZENT. Is that not enough?
When I refused to answer and asked them what made they think they should ask me that question? And I continued that’s a weird question so I refused to answer. That guy THREW my ID to my face and shouted “get out of here!”
Well, I guess they don’t want my business. That’s fine! But I deserve to be treated better.
Planet fitness is way better than this place. Horrible!!!

When I heard that my long lost uncle Ben, and, surprisingly my long lost sibling Big Ounce go to this gym, I've decided to travel across the ocean from Sarajevo to check it out.
I was greeted in many places (being the emperor of the biggest political party in my country), but I've never in my entire life been greeted in such a welcoming and hospitable manner. On the front desk I was greeted by a young lady holding a puppy in her arms, and by a poster of my.... Uncle Benny.. I couldn't believe my eyes, I bust out into tears and enjoyed my time there while remembering all of the good memories with my uncle.
Oh yes the ATF shot my dog too.

Today I tried to sign up, the guy who handled me asked me where I was from and I asked him why he asked me that question and what on me made him ask that question. And he said just carrying a conversation! Then I told me how long I should be in a place to said that I am from that place he said 10 years. And then he threw my ID back to
My face and said get out of here and told me don’t be rude!
UPDATE: after leaving my review, I looked at another bad review and now I am thankful to the guy who was being so rude to me and turned me away from this business! So thank you!
NEVER give them your bank account info! NEVER!

After years of trying to find the correct gym, I found this place. I travelled far and wide, high and low. And lo and behold, like a glistening light leading me to happiness I found crunch Waco.
At first I was hesitant, like many times along my journey I thought this was just another gym. But like a perfect pastor for your favourite church. Uncle Ben appeared. His knowledge, charisma, and swole arms spoke to me. I was entranced by his passion for the art of working out. Although we had different motives we shared a similar goal. It was nice. It felt like… Happiness, something I had not felt in a long time.
Through months of working with Uncle Ben he shared his secret. His own son Kevin was attempting to abuse his father. I couldn’t let this happen. I couldn’t bear the pain of knowing that someone I view so highly was being treated horribly. So I continue to train. In hopes to one day help stop Kevin. Together Uncle Ben and I will lead him out of the darkness and show him Uncle Ben’s light.
