A lot of hidden charges even after you cancel your membership. Plus they require you to have the membership for 60 days. And the late fees they tack on if you can't pay are $10/week. Ridiculous. 10Gym will always be the best gym.

Now I live in Austin. I tried to cancel my membership from here. They told me I had to do it in person, which is super bad because I would have to travel 5 hours just to cancel. I called them, they couldn't help me. The Crunch Fitness Austin staff told me that if I sent them a letter, I could cancel without having to travel there, and that's what I did. I sent them a letter with all my information, and they never responded. I haven't been to that gym for over a year. Now, a collection company is charging me $300 in total. Crunch Fitness is one of my worst experiences.

Great place for a workout, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Kiley was helpful and sweet when I was purchasing some tanning lotion, she is very professional, positive and knowledgeable and I was able to get a great deal on what I needed thanks to her.

Enrolled to see if it’d be a gym I’d like to transfer to and I found out VERY quickly that it is not. They’ll obsessively call you to schedule a training session and if you don’t respond to their emails, texts, or calls, they’ll register for you anyway and charge your card $10 for a class you never signed up for or agreed to. That’s disgusting behavior and a gross way for the manager and the trainers they have there to run their gyms.

I do not recommend crunch. I went to there. I signed up and everything was good and all then I was in the phase of moving to a place that does not have a crunch fitness. I went in and I paid the full amount that they required me to cancel it. This is going on six months after I’m still getting phone calls. My card is still getting debited and I have demanded that they take my information out of the system and they have yet to do so. I have presented them with a letter today that I’m gonna seek an attorney to make this stop, which I don’t understand why it’s still going on. It has harassment that is uncalled for I did my due diligence went in and paid them a lump sum for the months that I signed up for and close my account and yet for some reason, I’m still getting the phone calls. I’m still getting the emails and my bank account is still getting debited. I do not recommend having any type of membership at this place, I gave them a seven day written notice as of today eight – 30– 25 at right about 4:00 PM and I am expecting to hear from somebody by noon on Tuesday

This place literally sucks. We wanted to cancel our plan & was told that it's free to cancel. Paid for one more month because it was due and asked if we SHOULD cancel our account NOW because we weren't planning on going anymore, which we haven't been all month, but the guy said you should use it a few times then cencel. Now our bill isn't due till a few more days and they are saying we have to pay ANOTHER month to cancel? Don't you pay for the month in advance to go so why are we having to pay more money just to cancel. Go to planet fitness, the beds are better, better business in general and very straight forward.

The gym itself was incredible.
The cancellation? No go. Absolutely hard and the staff makes it almost impossible. Then they double charged my account and took almost 200$ from me. I’d heard about it being difficult, but didn’t want to believe it and now that I’m going through it, I wouldn’t wish this absurd handling to anyone. The manager I spoke with, Jack was rude and will over charge you if they’re unhappy. Keep that in mind. I just want the extra money they took from me back. Absolutely dumbfounded that this has happened to not just me but to others.

I’ve been going to Crunch Fitness for a few months now, and overall, it’s been a really solid experience. The gym is kept decently clean, not spotless, but definitely better than a lot of other gyms I’ve tried. The equipment is usually in good working condition, and I rarely have to wait around to use machines, which is a big plus.
The vibe in the gym is welcoming, and there’s a good mix of people, from beginners to serious lifters. No one’s judging anyone, which makes it a comfortable space to work out.
I also want to give a special shoutout to Sean. He’s always super friendly, says hi when you walk in, and just has a great attitude that helps set the tone for the whole place. You can tell he cares about making members feel comfortable and welcome. Little things like that go a long way.
If you’re looking for a gym that’s reasonably clean, has everything you need, and a team that actually makes an effort to be friendly, Crunch is definitely worth checking out.

BEWARE: please do not let Malachi sign u up or check you out for anything!!!! He is sarcastic, rude, not informative at all. LSS: He over charged my account when signing me up. He checked me out later and messed up that transaction. BEWARE: if u have any issues do not expect Tamilyn to assist or offer any resolutions. The experience with those two was more painful than the equipment. But if u can avoid those two, not mind paying for more memberships than u should… it’s a good clean space to work out.

I am new to the area and have been working out here for a little over a week. Today I went in and about halfway through my workout there was a man very obviously on Drugs and tweaking. I tried to just continue and not pay it much mind however while in the Hitt zone I was doing walking lunges and this man began running around and doing a ton of odd things like flapping his arms like a bird which were fine until he came a little too close to me. I went to the front desk where I was told his brother works here so “she’ll let him know”. I can understand why they would not want to call, however when it’s putting other people in uncomfortable situations and people not feeling safe, I don’t think this is OK.

Just let an employee know that all of the sanitizer bottles are empty at the gym, this is the second time in a row I've come to work out and this has happened. The employee responded "I know, I can't do anything about it since I'm by myself". I like crunch but the bare minimum I expect from a facility like this is to be able to clean the equipment after hundreds of people use it. This has happened several times since I've started working out here but it's becoming more frequent and frankly it's gross. I think crunch is capable of doing better.

Scam. They say no commitments, but you really commit to 2 months and at the end of that, when you go çancel, you have to pay another month for the next month.
Additionally, I was lied to by trainers. My individual trainer was nice, but I was lied to about some things. Luckily, a certain manager took care of me, so I will give 2 stars for that, along with the equipment and classes, which are nice.
Stay away from this place.

I had a membership that I had cancelled and enjoyed the gym overall but I heard some issues overall with people having trouble cancelling due to their contracts. Today I went in to get another membership and the employee at the desk put a recipt paper down and asked me to put all my bank info down. I refused and he said I had to do it that way and he called his manager to confirm and the manager said I could just pay with my card. Then they told me I had to sign 8 documents and when I asked to see the contract they both said I wasn’t allowed to see the contract until after I signed and agreed to it. I tried to say that I should be able to see what I’m agreeing to and the worker asked if I’d taken “contract law courses” because he apparently had and continued to belittle me trying to force me to sign without looking.

This establishment allows their employees to give out people's personal information to other gym goers and condone harassment. And even after taking the issue to management, they decided to keep some of the employees that were involved. I wouldnt trust giving any of your information to Emily (manager) at the front desk. I became a member in January and signed up with James as my trainer. I am very happy with my results so far and that is due to James pushing me when needed and being cautious of my past injures. The gym seems to be semi busy every time I go in, and there seems to be a staff member always cleaning. Crunch gym has a very positive atmosphere!

I wouldn’t post anything but this is my second encounter w Jack that’s been nothing short of attitude and dirty looks.
First time- I admit I was in the wrong and had a late fee bc I canceled my card and got a new one but he gave so much attitude and push back on it.
This time- I come to tan. Get told no beds are ready. Could be 1-2 min wait. No problem. I go sit on the couch and wait. Someone goes to clean the tanning beds. 2 more people come up to tan and Jack gets them in right away and he knows what he’s doing. Looks right at me as if he’s looking to see if I’m watching.

I would give place 0 stars, I moved here for airforce and when signing up manager was rude and would say the membership we wanted would be too expensive for us and we said money is not an issue and he got rude with my wife saying i never said it was a problem i dont know where you got that from rudely. He would then say we can’t have a stroller on work out floor so we respected that and while changing diaper we left our stroller off the workout floor with our belongings and he would say we cant leave stroller while we work out but we explained to him we were changing diaper really quick and would be back to our stroller so I can finish my workout. He would then proceed to leave a comment saying we took a baby on the work floor on our profile so when we sign in it alerts workers to watch out for us doing that again He is very rude and unprofessional but the gym is nice a clean otherwise.

Paid my membership on the 1st, it said payment pending for 4 days, finally took the money out and now it says payment overdue $10. I click the link for the Hell of it and it's says payment due $0. The incompetence and lack of accountability at this location is actually amazing, especially considering the fact that I was talking to the FINANCE manager and not a regular employee. Went in to try to get my account up to par from being past due because they make you come in to cancel and I work a lot, so I’m either too tired or don’t have time to stop by just to cancel my account. I wasn’t communicated with properly by their manager Tamlyn as to what their billing period was, only told the words “pay current month dues” to be caught up. Naturally, because we’re in the month of January, I thought they meant for January, not for December. It took a minute for me to understand that after the front desk guy explained it to me. I had no problem paying, just wanted to see if they’d understand that their choice of words matter so I asked to speak with Tamlyn specifically since she’s the one who tried to help me resolve my account. I have no reason to lie, things got a little heated when I was talking to the front desk guy about why I have to pay twice in one month, but I did leave and calm down and understand the situation. First red flag was him telling me that I need to approach the situation calmly because she’s sensitive and will shut down. Like…your job is in finance. You’re bound to run into a few angry customers. But I digress, went in calmly, only to be surrounded by 3 men along with her (I’m not a violent person and showed no signs of it). Whatever, I sat down and started to explain my side of things, only to be met by extremely passive aggressive comments about my finances when all I wanted was for her to see that as a customer, I’m not in their lingo world, and that she should just probably specify more clearly what “pay current months dues” means to a customer who may not know the details of their billing cycles. An adult would find that reasonable right? Right? Wrong. Instead I got jabs about my finances and mild threats to close my account. I’m really not pressed because it’s just a gym membership for Christ sake, but the people running this location are a headache if you’re not the perfect customer, so beware. They need an attitude check from their higher ups and learn to take some accountability because being defensive when I’m just trying to come to an understanding is incomprehensible to me. Not saying I’m in the right here, but these “professionals” don’t know the meaning of the word and it’s tacky to even think about. Just be aware of the children in adult bodies that work here.

I don’t usually right reviews but I felt like I had to because of all the positivity I have found at crunch since I started . I’ve been training for about a week with James and he is a great trainer , he explains everything well and makes sure you’re comfortable with the exercises. He also encourages and push you to do the best that you can . I can tell the difference between working out alone and having a trainer like James because I was stuck lifting the same weight for months and he has made me believe that I’m stronger than I thought.

I have had a membership with this gym since it opened. I moved to Nc in July and requested to cancel the membership. The computers were down, and I was told it would be taken care of. It wasn't and I was charged again. When I called, I was told nothing could be done over the phone, so when I came to town for work in October once again, I physically went in to cancel and guess what the computers were down again. They wrote my information in a book to cancel and low and behold still didn't cancel it. Of course, I called and raised hell in November when I was charged again. Now I am being told that the dues I was charged were contractual and they refuse to refund the 3 months they charged in error.

Very rude and bad customer service. The guy working tonight graveyard shift should not be working there. He literally was yelling at me to leave even after I have paid for my current new active membership. ( I had a balance due from long time ago that was in collection and they said they will honor that when I reactivated my membership but I guess the manager forgot to clear it ) but this guy was just being disrespectful and not helpful when I was just trying talk to him and requesting him to let workout tonight and I will come back and talk to their manager about the previous due balance. I have paid lots of months to this gym without working out just keeping the membership because I used to love to go there when ever I had time never thought they would hire someone disrespectful people like that. They constantly charge your card, we got a random charge. Then we locked our account because we couldnt afford it anymore and we were told we couldnt cancel, they still keep charging us sending us into the negatives, they also have a hidden yearly fee thats not in there monthly contract. Shady business practices, base membership since 2022 for $9.99 but they decided on their own with 0 correspondence to downgrade my membership to a flex account in 2023 instead of just renewing my membership. So now they are charging me $17 and some change monthly and triple charged me in October of 2023. Pulled my annual fee out of $54 dollars and when I asked what's the deal they say they can fix my membership back to the base account, but I will have to pay the annual fee again in 60 days.. I moved out of state for work and is impossible to cancel membership. Before moving I went to the front desk to cancel and a month later I was charged again. I go back in a second time and was told to delete my account on their website which isn’t possible. Canceling just no longer lets you log into your account information. Now I have moved out of state and still receiving charges. I call and I get put on hold instead of being able to speak to a manager multiple times. When I do get to speak to a manager I’m told I have to go to their front desk when I’m not going to fly out of state just to cancel a membership. Then I get told I can send a letter. I ask if I can just send an email and was told. I. I sent an email anyways. Still haven’t gotten an email back. Why would a letter suffice when it can just get thrown away when everything is digital. They are sure to call me everyday from blocking their transactions though.

Have paid $25/month for 3 years as I was told that would allow to bring a guest on occasion (basic membership less than half that price). Have done this maybe 20 odd times in the span of membership. Most times has translated in them getting their own membership. Jack went out of his way with an abrasive hostility to let me know I was not allowed a guest. No worries, what do I need to workout with my guest for the day? He began over explaining how I was wrong. She’ll need to commit to a 7-day trial. Anthony truly went above and beyond to help my wife with an admin issue regarding her membership and our previous gym that the previous gym was dragging its feet resolving. For a simple and tedious task, he treated her with respect and a smile and resolved it right then and there. Have found all the staff here to be this caring and dedicated. A couple of days ago, I lost my key and wasn't sure if I'd ever see it again. Hoping for the best, I asked the gym staff if they had come across it. Highly recommend Crunch , equipment is always clean, even if they’re busy , there is enough equipment available. The front desk always greet you with a smile and always make you feel welcome. I ask for a towel for a few days and now they have it ready for me as soon as I walk in. May not be a big deal, but to me that’s amazing customer service. Again, highly recommend.

I’ve never had a better experience at a gym! From the moment I walked in the staff made me feel at home. It truly is like a home away from home. Jessie and all the staff make it a point to know my name and be kind and generous from the moment I walk in, to the moment I leave. I absolutely enjoy going when I get off work each and every day. The equipment is always clean and kept up, the restroom, locker room is cleaner than I’ve ever seen, and the sauna is so nice! The classes are top notch with all of the instructors for the classes being absolutely AMAZING and they make a point to acknowledge all of my hard work and dedication. The tanning beds are clean and the hydro massage chairs are so awesome. If you are looking for a gym, seriously look no further… go see Jessie and get started right away!!! Believe me, you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been a member of this gym since before they opened the doors. I actually signed up in a temporary office in the parking lot.
Anyway, over the last few years, on several occasions I have been stopped to rescan my barcode because it appeared that I had cancelled my membership. Turns out that someone with my same name (spelled differently) had cancelled his and they got it mixed up. So the staff member would “fix” it.
This happened several times over the years. I was close to ending my membership.
Today a different staff member , Paige, stopped me and , of course, same issue. Except this time Paige went an extra mile and went through several steps that hadn’t been attempted in the past. Kudos to Paige for being very sweet and understanding my frustration.

So I work construction all over the country. I signed up and enjoyed the gym while I was there. I got called to leave to go to a different state on an emergency project. I called later to cancel my membership
They said they can’t cancel over the phone. Like really? I can verify who I am. They said it doesn’t matter. I have to write a physical letter to them “whoever they are” that I want my membership canceled. And sign it.
No notary though. Just written with my name. Doesn’t matter who does it. But I can’t cancel over the phone lol

Hats off to Jesse at the Wichita Falls location. She found out that I had a less than enjoyable experience when I walked in the door the first time and she took the time to show me around and let me know what was all available to me. KIDS CLUB!
The staff in the kids club is the best! They are the sweetest and very attentive. Alissa & Jackie are respectful and kind to the children. Every time I go there to drop off or pick up they’re doing something interactive with the kiddos, whether it’s drawing, reading or playing with them. Not to mention they are always cleaning and disinfecting the toys and furniture. That gives me peace of mind as a mom of 3 littles that my kids are being actively watched and cared for, and their health is being put first as well. I am able to put my health first too because of kids crunch.

DO NOT GO HERE. Get a membership literally anywhere else. The staff lied to me about their contract and said it would not auto renew. It did. They made it nearly impossible to cancel. I paid over 200 in fees when I wasn’t even living in Wichita Falls and they wouldn’t refund me and lied to me telling me my membership was cancelled when it wasn’t and I was still being charged monthly. I did not step foot in this gym for 7 months and was continued to be charged the entire time because they kept lying about my account being cancelled. The staff lies, they are rude and have no customer service skills. Save yourself a headache and a lot of money and go somewhere else.
