I am incredibly fortunate to have found Claire and her studio! Two years ago, during the birth of my youngest child, I experienced complications with an epidural that led to a perforated dura and a Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) leak. It took two blood patches to repair the injury, but I was left with debilitating pain in my lower back and hip area. For two years, I struggled with this pain without knowing the exact source.
Today, after just 8 private sessions with Claire, I am thrilled to say I’ve been pain-free for two weeks! It feels like I’m getting a second chance at life—without the constant pain, I feel happy again. I even jokingly asked her if she has magical powers, but the truth is, Claire is simply brilliant. She is highly knowledgeable, incredibly observant, and knows exactly where the body needs strengthening.

I can’t recommend her enough!

I love Claire's class. We started one on ones after I sustained an injury from exercise. She worked me through healing and then strengthening returning me to full capacity in weeks. I look forward to our weekly sessions. Her instructions are clear and easy to follow and she is quick to correct my movements if I am not doing the exercise correctly. I would highly recommend one of her classes.

Claire is really, really good at what she does. She is incredibly attuned to minute errors in body position - allowing her to correct you real-time and guarantee the most effective results for your workout. Her pilates methodology is about whole health and responding specifically to your individual body/health/injuries. I improved my posture and used muscles I didn't know I had - and I've been an athlete/weight lifter all of my life.

Claire is absolutely amazing! This was my first experience with Pilates but I can't imagine many other instructors would be as attentive and insightful as Claire is. In the first 4 weeks of seeing her, a nagging muscle pain that had been going on for months was completely gone. I would say I was a convert to Pilates but I think I'm more a convert to Claire!

Claire is an incredible Pilates instructor. She is immensely skilled and experienced in her knowledge of Pilates. This extends well beyond a mastery of the machinery and movements, as she is also acutely attentive to my personal physical situation and plans our sessions around what my body needs to achieve my goals. I began as a brand-new novice, experiencing lower back pain and psoas muscle issues. At that point we focused as much on non-machinery aspects as we did body positions, stretching, and isolating problematic areas. Her background combining both dance and Pilates make her keenly aware of proper body positioning and form, and lend to her effective teaching style. She demonstrates perfect form on every exercise, making it easier to emulate. Then when it’s my turn, she’s focused on my movements and immediately provides corrective direction when needed. She’s not a “Rah Rah” teacher; instead she’s an intelligent, witty, competent, friendly, and nurturing partner who I feel is step-for-step taking this new journey with me. I’m still only 10 lessons in, but my back and psoas issues have already subsided. I anticipate I’ll keep taking private lessons for a while. I highly recommend Claire as a Pilates instructor!

I cannot say enough positive things about Claire and her virtual classes. WIsh I could give more than 5 stars! Claire takes the time to get to know her students and their needs which allows each class to feel like a private session even though there are others joining. Even being virtual, it is as if Claire is right there with you guiding you through the exercises and helping you improve your practice. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Claire and participating in her classes. Next time I am in Austin I will be sure to schedule an in-person session! Thanks, Claire!

It's well known that in exercise it's all about the instructor. But in Pilates teaching that acquires a larger meaning. I've taken classes with Clair for years and her dedication and concern for the participants has increased exponentially. I started in the regular mat class and now I'm a proud participant in her gentle mat Pilates class. :)

Claire's virtual classes during the pandemic have been a lifeline for me to better health and mobility. She has designed a class specifically for older adults that helps us navigate the aging process. After every session I feel so much better, more limber and energized . She is a delight to work with her unique charm and sense of humor.
