The best spin studio in Dallas! CycleBar Uptown Dallas truly stands out. Not only for the incredible workout, but also for the welcoming and supportive community. The staff is so kind, and every instructor brings unmatched energy, motivation, and encouragement. Whether it’s your very first ride or your hundredth, you’ll always feel challenged, inspired, and celebrated. Being part of the CycleBar community is something truly so special!! Thank you to the entire team for making every ride an amazing experience for me!

I love this place! I have been to five classes with different instructors and they are all great! Awesome energy, music, styles! The place is very well kept and the girls who help at the front desk are always very kind. I really dont understand the bad reviews, I recommend to ignore them.

I love CycleBar! I attend this location on Saturday for the Spicy Saturday 8 AM class and it’s amazing. This class gets packed and it’s such a vibe. The staff and fellow riders are super friendly. It’s a welcoming community, and I highly recommend CycleBar for a fantastic workout!

Just got send back this girl had the audacity to be you’re late 6 mins what an odd number every place I got to has a 10 mins grace period so if I was the owner I would have to fire her bc she had unpleasant attitudes towards me so def would not recommend this place 🙄 I’d give it a zero /10

I have no idea what the bad reviews are about, this cycle studio was great! It was my first time here and they were super helpful and friendly, the person at the front desk walk me through the studio and helped me adjust my bike to my height. They provided sanitized bike shoes, lockers personalized with a message to us, and the instructor Caroline was energetic, fun, and positive. Fun music mixes with a variety of options. Perfect class for me to get back into cycling!

I’ve recently visited Cycle Bar for the first time! The staff was welcoming and the instructor Jorge was great! He had great energy, communicated very well, and you could tell he really cared about the class. The location is central to downtown Dallas and parking was easy. Would recommend!

I was hoping to avoid this, I hate giving a bad review!
Here we go; some of class instructors are pretty cool, I think the best ones have already left, in my opinion!

Biggest issue for us was when it came to canceling our membership it felt like any other gym that tries to scam you.

When we signed up the manager assured us that he will work with us if there are any issues and we couldn't make the classes, specially due to illness. He left!

Story time: After attending a full class in Jan, both my wife and I got Covid and we were ill for a few weeks, its not possible to keep the cycle room sanitary. When I called to request to roll over the classes to next month, the manager answered mentioned that it was not possible, even though it was promised by the other manager that signed us up (he left). I requested on the phone early jan over 60 days ago to cancel both memberships (didn't hear anything back). When I was charged again end of Jan I emailed a request to cancel end of Feb in advance so its more official I suppose, didn't hear back for a couple of weeks.

Checked with front desk, they assured me that both accounts were cancelled and I will not be charged end of march! But what do you know, its the end of march & I'm charged again, now disputed, and a bad review.

Forgot to mention bike paddle broke on me once, most bikes are somewhat outdated.

Was charged a no show for two classes I showed up for (thankfully I was refunded after it was investigated!) wouldn’t know unless I reviewed my credit card.

Sign up at your own risk & good luck with your cancellation!

They don’t care about anything but your payment. I joined on a whim after taking a great class through ClassPass. Not even 30 days after joining, my grandmother passed and I had to travel to Georgia for an extended period of time. I emailed cyclebar asking for an emergency cancellation due to me not attending classes but also because of my mental health. I got an automated message from there financial. They stated I would have to call my home gym. I did and I tried to get in touch with the manager. It seemed like no one at the front desk knew if the manager would be there and kept saying they would rely the message. I never heard anything but was charged even though I sent a cancellation request prior to my draft date plus I never took a class. I even had my bank stop payments.

Basically I got charged $109 without ever taking a class. It’s very upsetting because I wanted to use my membership but couldn’t because of my grandmother’s passing. All this took place in December. No condolences no we can pause your membership… no communication besides the automated message from the financial team. Save yourself the trouble and join another location!!!

They truly don’t care about you. They only want to keep your money.

ClassPassers, beware!! I don’t take to negative reviews unless it is well-deserved.

Let me first say that the instructor was great, she had amazing energy for an early morning class.

I was at the class, I checked in, they gave me shoes (that were pretty worn down, based on the many other cycle bars I’ve been to) and I wrote an honest review. They put me on a broken bike, I came out to ask for a different one, and they put me on another broken one… at that point I gave up. I was already missing a lot of the workout because of the bike problems.

Management clearly does zero maintenance, you should at least take broken bikes out of the room. My review wasn’t as negative as I’m writing this now but you’ll see why I write this when you get to the next paragraph… I just wanted a word of caution to other visitors to check that your bike works before class starts.

I wrote my review and then they went in and marked me as not checked in so that my review would disappear, causing classpass to charge me $17 for a no show fee.

In fact, I have a photo in the studio that day (you can see the timestamp and location) so I’m glad I took it as proof I did attend the class.

I find those actions absolutely absurd. People should know their management is horrendous. Oh yeah, and ClassPass won’t refund me for the cancel charge even though they only notified me of it today (about 3 weeks later).

It was my first time visiting (1/27/25) and I don’t think I’ll be returning. The energy from the front desk girl was not welcoming. After class she did not follow up with me and ask about my experience. I’ve been to many other welcoming studios and I didn’t get that courtesy at this location.

I also analyzed the other front desk girl (she had locs) interact with another first timer and she was very nice and informative towards her. Whereas I didn’t receive that welcoming first time interaction. I don’t know felt a bit racist…

I had a frustrating experience during my visit today. Ten minutes before the class started, my bike was reassigned to another rider, even though I had already arrived and was prepared to start. I noticed two girls who seemed to know each other, and one of them was assigned to my bike so they could ride together. While I understand the need for flexibility in bike assignments, this situation felt unfair, especially since I was already present and ready to go.

I would appreciate more clear communication and fairness in how bikes are assigned, as this disrupted my experience and left me feeling inconvenienced. I hope this issue can be addressed for future classes to ensure a more pleasant and organized experience for everyone.

Biggest SCAM ever I purchased a 4 class pass and they gave me all types of discount and options I did not like it and only attended to two classes leaving 2 paid. Finding out 7 month later that I have being sent to collections for no payments 😂 I owe 600 + dollars. I thought this was a fraud when I received the call but after talking to the front desk she confirmed that I had a contract and I didn’t pay for it 😂 this people are crazy 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

The class was good and I liked the music. This was the first time I went to a class like this and although I imitated the others I didn't know if I was doing it right or if my bike was set up correctly. I didn't feel any attention from the instructor at any point, and I feel like all the effort came from self-motivation rather than because there was an instructor in the class. I couldn't say it was bad, but I wouldn't want to go back either.

Someone in my cycle class left early on and didn’t come back, I’m assuming they just weren’t able to finish for whatever reason. The Cyclebar instructor said “that’s a class pass person, we will never see them again, haha,” on their microphone. I felt so sad for this person that left because I’m sure they heard the instructor say this as they left the class. This was embarrassing and disappointing to hear. At another class, I left early because I wasn’t feeling well and I heard the instructor talking about me on her microphone as I was in the studio bathroom. I stopped going to this location because the instructors seemed very entitled and immature. I love cycle, but I won’t go back here.

I had high hopes for my first workout here, but Victoria came across as rude to me and got mad at me for briefly checking my phone when I got a notification from a close family member. I left before the end of the workout because it threw me off and made me feel mad. I felt singled out when others were on their phones longer than I was. If this is how the class instructors treat new people, then I can’t recommend this place to new people in good conscience.

The manger and the staff are not good people! Very rude and manipulative people! If you try to cancel your membership, you have to jump through many hoops. I tried to talk this out with the manager over the phone but all she did was gaslight me.Very money hungry people and I don’t really see why because the girls in the front only get paid $13 an hour and I guess a commission split ?!

Don’t waste your time. I called myself adventuring out, trying new ways to lose this weight. I booked online received a text to confirm my appointment, mind you. You have to park in the garage next to the cycle bar which is a pain in its self. I get there early 12 mins exactly. Short blonde hair girl tells me unfortunately you’re unable to ride because Im supposed to get there 15mins, To set up my bike. No one told me anything about arriving early I just came. Red flag #2 is they know everyone has to park in the garage and if you don’t get parking validated you can’t leave the garage or pay the $25. I walk back and the doors are locked. When she came to the door she acted like she didn’t know why I came back. Bottom line I truly believe she intentionally did that because I wasn’t the only one that came back for the validation. 0/10 will not recommend this cycling place.

Ps. All the ladies she turned away was black. Including myself which makes me think they didn’t want us there!

First off, idk who spoke poorly of Peter in past reviews but the one who does Saturday morning class is awesome! He doesn't care about competition with others, he just wants you to vibe out and he is super inspirational! I loved it! The first class I went to was on a Wednesday night.. that is NOT for beginners. lol. One criticism... I normally don't say this but, I didn't feel very welcomed by the staff.. they were super amicable, smiley, and friendly with others, but I felt unimportant to them... I hate to think it's because of how I look.. just be more welcoming to those who look like me, are alone, and are newbies. Otherwise, GREAT workout! I'll deff be coming back! <3

I cannot say a single bad comment about the instructors at this location as they are great. However, CycleBar Uptown has greatly declined over the last year. I’ve been going to CycleBar Uptown for two years through ClassPass and I’ve noticed significant changes over the last six months. Bikes are always breaking, shoes are old and ratty more often than not, and staff rotates through quickly. After my experience today, I will not be returning. I will not bore you with the details of the horrible customer service I experienced but all I can say is the manager and staff at this location have no consideration or regard for customer safety or customer satisfaction as they seem accustomed to malfunctioning equipment. Needless to say, I will take my business elsewhere and I will advise people against going to this location.

I just started going here (August 2023) with their $25 first month / full payment second month special.

The app makes it really easy to book classes & pick your bike ahead of time so you can go straight to your bike after you check in at the front. The staff was really helpful with bike adjustments and overall I’m really enjoying their themed classes.

Their bikes also connect to the app so you have a record of your performance stats. I wish someone told me that when I first joined as this is my first time trying Cyclebar. I just noticed it after my 3rd class and asked another member about it but the bike I was on had a broken screen so I just avoid booking that one.

So far I’ve enjoyed Taylor & Peter’s class the most - they’ve got great rhythm, song selection and a motivational vibe that pushes me even when I feel like I’m dying.

Other than that, I’ve noticed members kind of just go in and out so I don’t really feel the community vibe I’m used to from other cycling studios. Maybe there are a lot of Class-passers or were all just introverted. Either way - looking forward to seeing how I feel after my second month.

I’ve tried other CycleBar locations and I absolutely love Uptown Dallas! I went for a Performance ride with Stephanie and it’s my favorite ride I’ve taken so far. She was high-energy, very motivating, and super charismatic! The location is swanky and the bikes are nice and responsive, especially with the gear turning. Got the option to try this class though Class Pass. It’s a bit out of my way for me to continue coming to this location.
The staff made me feel very welcomed, I loved that, and unfortunately that isn’t common.
The workout itself was amazing. Song selection wasn’t really my cup of tea- it didn’t make me want to push myself, but I made the most out of my workout regardless.
I do recommend giving this place a try.

Right off the bat, really weird/predatory business model with not a lot of transparency as to how they operate the membership. Was injured backed last year and couldn't make use of the membership. Tried getting ahold of management prior to being charged again, there was a lot of going back and forth and they never got me to "right" person. When I finally did, they didn't want to issue me a refund nor cancel my membership in lieu of my hip injury. They then made it seem like the only viable option was of "freezing" my membership and pressured me into giving them a date of when I would heal (laughable). They clearly value profit over members. So unless you're certain your health/ life/ well being wont never get in the way, don't join. Take your time elsewhere.

The instructors are decent. No real complaint there. My complaint is when you want to cancel a membership. The website and app don’t allow it. So I emailed the location. Several days passed and I received a call, a voicemail, then an email:
That I hadn’t responded to the call so my cancellation hadn’t gone through. I had to email
Again to make it clear no phone call was necessary.

This is just poor customer service. Spin memberships shouldn’t require this much nonsense to cancel. I shouldn’t have the branch owner calling me under the guise of “explain how cancellation works” to try to sell me on a new membership plan for 5 minutes.

The owners at this location should do better. When users want to cancel a membership, no one wants a call with a guilt trip from the owner or unneeded hassle to cancel.

And this is all beside the point that there is no pro-rate whatsoever for canceling the day after renewal. I’ll be charged an extra 2 months instead of what should be required: a month with pro rate of two days in a month because the owner is trying to rip off his own customers.
If you do a one off class, do it. The instructors are ok despite one class where one male instructor berated a female customer behind her back loudly to the entire class for leaving the class before stretching even though he urged her to do so right before the poor woman walked out. But don’t ever let the owners scam you into a membership unless you want to have a live conversation about your personal fitness goals with someone you don’t know.

I never make reviews but my experience just happened 10 minutes ago and I’m kind of blown away by how such a short amount of time can really effect the way you view a business. I bought a 5 class pack with my friend to re-start my fitness journey. All day I was super excited about this class. My friend left her water in her car and asked me to grab a couple so i ran back into my place to grab them which set me back about five minutes. I live 1.5 miles away. I left my house at 639, found parking and walked in EXACTLY at 650pm and was met by the person at reception telling me I missed the cut off time and they would have to re schedule me. I asked what the cut off time was and was told it was 5 minutes. I walked in at 650pm and the class started at 645. I literally walked in at the time needed to arrive and not be turned away and this is what occurred. The person also did not want to make any exceptions. I took this as the person at the front desk not wanting to assist me with anything and being lazy. I was confused and when i advised i was new they then offered to recredit my class and asked would I like to reschedule. I am totally blown away by this quick experience as I did not receive the service I expected and will reconvene my relationship with another notable cycling bar. It’s unfortunate that a quick 3 minute interaction can really leave a sour taste in your mouth. I understand I was late but I literally arrived at the cut off time.

I had high hopes for this studio as I’ve been venturing out trying to find a spin class studio to get a membership at. I love trying new fitness studios and since I’m still slightly new to the area, have been trying out a few. Needless to say, this was my least favorite experience of all. I called ahead of time to let them know it was my first time and they signed me up for a Sunday introductory class (about 30 mins). They told me to arrive early so I could be given a tour of the studio, help me get set up on the bike, etc. The woman on the phone sounded very friendly and enthusiastic so I was excited. When I arrived, the front desk girl couldn’t be bothered. She just pointed at things and was the least enthusiastic person I’ve ever seen working at a spin studio. Then, someone else came to “show me around”, who again, couldn’t be bothered. All she did was point the lockers out to me and was about to turn around & leave when I told her I still needed help setting up my bike. She set me up on the bike incredibly rushed and without saying much. I didn’t even get a chance to ask questions because she just wanted to leave. Overall, I was looking for a studio where I could feel a sense of community and I did not get the impression that this was it. I have a membership at a barre studio and have tried other spin studios where I truly felt like I was being welcomed into a positive & friendly environment where employees try to help you feel at ease. In addition, most other studios will go around asking for feedback and wanting to hear about your experience after the class. However, at this location I didn’t even receive a proper hello or goodbye. It was very disappointing as I have friends who love CycleBar in their respective cities so I decided to try the Uptown location but was sadly letdown.

I have been taking studio cycling classes for a few years now and after bouncing around to different studios in the downtown Dallas area, I can confidently say that CycleBar has some of the best classes in the city.

Besides the normal boutique / luxury amenities (showers, lockers, various items to improve class) that are associated with studio cycling classes, CycleBar goes above and beyond with all of tis staff members. From the front desk to the instructors (specifically Veronica, Natalie, Hannah S / W, Shavai, and Jordan - who I go out of my way to take their high energy classes), each staff member always has a positive and welcoming attitude. They make the class accessible for everyone and challenge / modify when needed - not all instructors have the full-class awareness that is definitely taught at CycleBar.

I would recommend CycleBar to anyone looking for a cardio workout across all levels. You can use the metric-tracking as you wish, and you are guaranteed 45 minutes of high intensity cardio with great music.

I had attended classes off and on with ClassPass for a while and just recently got an unlimited membership because I found myself looking forward to the classes so much! It's a great way to completely unplug from everything and take care of yourself- whether it's pushing yourself past your limits (I always leave absolutely drenched) or just enjoying the beats and energy around you. The instructors all have their own style, but they're all wonderful. I know it'll be a great workout every time! And bonus is everything is very convenient- free parking if you need it and shoes are easy to grab. Only drawback is I think cycle studios are intimidating in general to anyone starting their fitness journey. I was a collegiate athlete and I still get that vibe sometimes (I don't wear a lot of matching sets), but everyone is very nice so get out of your head and try it! Overall, highly recommend if you're looking for a fun challenge.

I love this Cyclebar location! I’ve been to a few around Dallas, and this is definitely my favorite! All of the cyclestar instructors are so energetic and motivating! The playlists are always great too! The first time I went in the front staff made me feel very welcome and comfortable! I will definitely be back!

Love the energy at Cyclebar! I personally love Antoine's classes, but every instructor I've ridden with has their own unique style so there's something for everyone!

I've had a great experience here since I started coming last month, and it's now become my new go-to spin studio. My unlimited membership is only $129 (the price is going up soon so I signed up this weekend), which is a really good rate considering it's in the heart of Uptown Dallas where most places are very pricey. Liza, Antoine & Natalie are my favorite instructors so far. They have really cool theme rides and a lot of hip hop classes, which I love.

I was an unlimited Cyclebar member for about 6 months - I was going around 8-10 times a week as I was a super loyal customer. I had heard rumors about how horrendous the ownership was at this Uptown location, but continued to go because I liked the instructors and the workout. I then found out that the owner was telling his instructors to make me (and other customers) feel "guilty" for going to workout at other studios around Dallas. Long story short - I canceled my membership because the lack of respect the ownership has for their customers and their employees is disgusting. I took my experience to a public platform and was blown away by the responses that I received from at 20+ other customers, instructors, and other people in the fitness community, etc. sharing their experiences with the ownership creating such a toxic, demeaning, and manipulative environment. through manipulation and verbal abuse. It is a shame because other Cyclebar locations (with different ownership) radiate positive and uplifting energy. If I could give any advice - stick to Class Pass or Studiohop if you want to try this studio (the instructors are great!), but save yourself and don't purchase an unlimited membership (the cancellation policy is ridiculous).

On 2/5/20 I was contacted by the studio and asked/pressured to take my review down.. so in response to their comment below I am providing a few screenshots from how Cyclebar Uptown responds to their customer's negative reviews on Classpass - none of these are isolated incidents this is how this business is ran and how they choose to treat customers/employees. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

If you like cardio and high energy workouts, you should definitely check out CycleBar.

I visited this location after hearing about it from a friend. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and fully supportive of where everyone is at in their fitness journey. The classes are very intense but the instructor lets you take it at your pace, while also pushing yourself beyond what is comfortable.

The facility is compact, but has full showers and coffee/water if you exercise before work.

They often have promotions available for first time visitors, so check this place out and bring a friend to cycle next to.

The spin classes are ok. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered in a fitness business ever. Not worth walking in the door.

Everyone was incredibly helpful and welcoming, especially to first time riders. The booking system is incredibly easy to use and very straight forward. It even sends you a calendar invite with your seat number. It’s expensive, but expected and average for this area. Great amenities.

I bought 30 class cycle passes over 7 months a go. I have had numerous issues booking my class pass in several different occasions. I have had several email exchanged with owner. This last week again i could not book classes. I have ask the owner to refund my 25 credit class cycle passes back. He refused. I have worked with this business several times and I feel firmly about requesting a refund. Owner still refuses. I would be careful doing business with this franchise.
