Not only do we love the gymnastic classes with amazing coaches that are knowledgeable, push the kids to get better, and make it so fun… BUT we have also had 5 birthday parties there and they are the best. The coaches do so much of the work for you, keep the kids having a blast, and make it such a breeze!

From the time we arrived, coach Kelsey greeted us and helped take boxes inside. Kelsey was very attentive, she took care of EVERYTHING! She made a hectic day, run super smooth and easy! She met all the children’s needs, played multiple games, and overall was just wonderful!

Had a celebration for one of our children here yesterday & we were delighted at THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE 😀 CAG - Cypress location is the place you want to book for a fun party spot with wonderful Coaches (Laila & Dani) who took care of our child all the way through! The guests were pleasantly surprised & noted it was one of the best birthday parties they'd attended. Now that's saying a lot!!! Kids, parents & grandparents alike had a wonderful time 🙌 That's in large part due to our Coaches Laila & Dani staying on top of what the birthday child wishes were AS WELL AS Mom & Dad's requests on timing of things & details. It all made such a difference & everything flowed timely & was a positive day of memories we will cherish ❤ Grateful for the kindness of coaches & our amazing family & friends like family who were able to attend this Labor Day weekend to boot!

Love Cypress Academy!!! My girls (5 & 9) love going to the regular camps and especially ninja summer camps. The Parents Night Out events are an awesome way to have a date night and the kiddos love it as well. We used to attend weekly for instructional lessons, but schedules and other sports interests made our lives too hectic to continue. They both really loved the weekly classes and the coaches as well.
Highly suggest this concept for gymnastics of all levels.

This is the second year my son request to do his party at cypress gymnastics! Coach Brooke and Coach Renee made the party so fun for all the kiddos (from 1 year old to 14 year olds). The kids were able to play so much and didn’t want to leave. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be able to throw a fun party indoors to avoid the summer heat. The coaches helped me set up, cut the cake, pass out foot, and clean up. I couldn’t ask for anything more. This is my second time throwing a party here, the only bad thing is I wish it could be 4 hours long! Thank you!!

On May 23rd, my son suffered a severe injury to his arm while under this facility’s care—one that required emergency attention and looked like a portion of his skin had been torn away. Two weeks later, I still have not received video footage, a detailed incident report, or a clear explanation of what happened.

I’ve received two text messages, one vague phone call, and an excuse that their IT team “might” be able to recover the footage. Meanwhile, I’m still getting automated marketing texts from the same number they claim they couldn’t reach.

The lack of urgency, communication, and accountability is absolutely unacceptable. Other parents deserve to know how incidents like this are (or are not) handled.

I just want to let any parent know if you have ANY ISSUES with your party, coach, or session please reach out to management as they will handle it accordingly! As they hear and sympathize with you. I had a bad incident this pasts winter with my daughters bday party an it left a REALLY bad taste in my guest & I mouth, as I had a phenomenal experience for my sons bday in the summer which why I was lost. Well it didn’t go as planned as I’d like! I left a review on another location( IM SOOO SORRY) a the manager reached out to me to make sure this was resolved and we all were happy as this is something a guests shouldn’t ever experience. I appreciate & Thank you again Kristyn!

I cannot say enough great things about Cypress Academy Gymnastics and the incredible experience my daughter has had with them. She has been enrolled in gymnastics for 4 years, and I’ve watched her growth both as an athlete and an individual. The coaches at Cypress Academy are nothing short of amazing, offering personalized attention that has helped her overcome fears and push her limits in ways I never thought possible.

From the moment she started, the coaches worked closely with her, instilling confidence and encouraging her every step of the way. It’s clear they genuinely care about her development, both in the gym and outside of it.

One of the most impressive aspects has been her ability to overcome fears. There were moments when she struggled with certain moves or felt hesitant, but the supportive environment and the constant positive reinforcement helped her push through. She’s excited to go to practice and is constantly setting new goals for herself.

Cypress Academy has been a place of growth, not only physically but emotionally as well. It’s been wonderful to see her build resilience, improve her strength, and develop a true love for the sport. We are so grateful for the dedication of the coaches and the entire team at Cypress Academy. They have truly made a lasting impact on her journey, and we can’t wait to see how far she’ll continue to go!

My children have attended Cypress Academy for the past 5 years. Overall, we are very happy with the facility and most of the coaches as our children have been in Preschool, Girls Rec, Xcel and Tumbletots. We have loved the more serious, seasoned coaches for this sport - Coach Cari Beth, Cristi, Liz, Losh, Victoria S. and Emily and Matt have been our favorites. You can’t go wrong with any of these coaches and they are definitely worth the cost of tuition. The make up policies are fantastic, better than any other activity we have paid for kids. I do feel for the cost that the Huffmeister gym needs some TLC in upkeep. The bathrooms need updating, the baby changing station is literally almost unusable in the girls rec area. It’s up to my neck and you have to stand over a toilet to use it. The whole place needs a facelift. You can literally see floating specs of ceiling particles in the air and the gym is smelly. I feel like the owners definitely need to put some money and love in to this building specifically. I also feel like marketing could be improved. I see other companies posting cool marketing videos and posting the team’s successes and just overall doing a much more interesting job of advertising and spreading awareness about the sport and business activities. The coach made videos and ads with typos just don’t scream high quality to me. Kidstrong and World Champions Center would be better examples.

If you have a son with extra energy and you’re looking for a place for him to make new friends and learn how to harness that energy for greatness sign him up for boys classes as cypress academy! My son learns at a slower rate than his peers - but the coaches at cypress academy always meet him where he is at and work with him until he is successful. They see him for who he is and always encourage him to do his best at every class. Over the last year in gymnastics his confidence has increased - his social skills with peers and adults have improved and because of his coaches he truly believes he can do anything if he doesn’t give up. We LOVE boys gymnastics and the coaches at CA and CA ninja!!!! 10/10 recommend! Thank you CA for being the best part of my kids week!

We’ve attended Cypress Academy at this location for years & have loved it through so many changes. The kids learn so many skills and have the best time every week. Coach Noel, Coach Thomas and Coach AJ rock it over on the ninja side - they keep the littles engaged and challenged during every class! Coach Cristi is like sunshine, she’s the absolute best at what she does! Cypress Academy hosts Parents Day Outs that coordinate with school holidays, it’s a godsend and they always have an incredible time and are completely worn out by pick up. We’ve had birthday parties there too, 10/10 would recommend - so simple to host, reasonably priced and it’s great fun for everyone who attends. All good things to say about this place!

They offer several different classes and have levels of difficulty as your child progresses. Some of the classes I’ve seen are Tumbling, Gymnastics, and Ninja. Very flexible scheduling. However your child doesn’t get a single coach but several different ones depending on who is working that day.

We wanted to take our 3 boys to their day camp and as a concerned dad I called the day before and asked how their security protocols worked. I was informed that all doors stayed locked during the day and only their main entrance was open and anyone entering the property would be greeted by the front desk staff. So we trusted this and decided to drop our children off the following morning at 9am. A couple hours later I decided to stop by and see if I could see my kids and of all the doors were locked. To my surprise, every door down the side of the building was completely unlocked and I walked right in where no one was monitoring or sitting at any desks. It took me a while but I walked around for a bit and was never asked if I needed anything or who I was, but I found one of my children and sat there watching them for a while. Finally I motioned one of my kids to come to me and asked them if they wanted to go outside with me for a little bit. Again, no one questioned this and I walked out one of the many unlocked doors while holding my son’s hand. I quickly walked down to the main entrance and with my son and went to the front desk. I explained to the young girl at the front desk what I just did and asked for a manager. She informed me there was not a manager there and grabbed some young boy who seemed to be in charge. He was not too concerned about what I just told him and said he would inform the group leaders to be more careful. After everything, no one ever locked the remaining doors and needless to say I decided to take our 3 children home. I’m sure this place is great for the children. However, the ones who say “ive taken my kids here so many times and nothing has ever happened” are taking risks with their precious children. Nothing has ever happened anywhere until it does. This should be addressed and protocols should be put in place to prevent something serious or even devastating from happening. Being proactive is much more important than being reactive.

3 part review all 5 stars!
1. My daughter has been attending gymnastics classes at the gym for almost 2 years…she loves it all the coaches are hands on and she’s really progressed (8 years old) Coach Veronica and Liz have been amazing!
2. Recently had her birthday party here. Pricing is super reasonable, all the kids had a blast, very organized the coaches helped set up, decorate, entertained kids and kept them in line, helped clean up…completely stress free for parents. Coach Veronica was one of the party coaches and once again amazing!! So sweet, always smiling, great with kids she’s a gem to this gym!
3. Summer camps and parent day outs…very reasonable on pricing, organized, lots of different activities to keep kids active and having a fun time!

Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for any of the above or all!!

My daughter first started taking gymnastics classes back in May. She had never done gymnastics before, but after only a few short months, she has already made vast improvements. She started out in Yellowfish and now she is moving up to Blue Starz. Cypress Academy of Gymnastics does an excellent job of developing young athletes while keeping things super fun.

My daughter's favorite coaches are Coach Cristi, Coach Alejandra, and Coach Noel - I highly recommend them! I also highly recommend taking advantage of the skills clinics that they have a couple Saturdays a month. Coach AJ usually hosts the clinics at Huffmeister location and he does such a wonderful job.

My daughter loves gymnastics so much and wishes she could do a class every day.

Final update, all I can say is that I’m super impressed on how fast my issues were addressed, and the change I have seen these last couple of classes. My daughter herself has expressed how much she’s really enjoying class now. That she feels great to have support, and not being just told what to do.

Edit: I was impressed with how fast someone reached out to me after posting my initial review. I spoke to Kristyn, and was able to express my concerns to her. She assured me she would look into it, and address any issues. I’m looking forward to the changes.

When we first started we loved it, until my daughter got moved up. She was switched to the bigger girls side, and I’m not loving it at all. First of all, they have different teachers every week. My kid requires stability, as she has anxiety issues. She’s not wanting to participate because she doesn’t recognize the teachers majority of the time. Luckily today her old coach Lulu was there for warmups, and she got her to go start. The majority of the girls teaching them always seem uninterested to be there. They are always talking amongst themselves, not really helping the girls. They almost seem annoyed to be there. Today my daughter cried for the first time ever during class, and she got no reassurance from her teacher to come back, and participate. Her classmate came out to comfort her, and take her back out. She also wasn’t the only one to cry today, another girl did as well. I’m seriously thinking about just cancelling, and switching her elsewhere at this point. Im not the only parent who thinks so either. Shame, because we really did like it at the start.

Awesome place & cool birthday party location. My only suggestion would be, maybe cut parties to a 4 hour block on Saturdays & not have training during or keep it to the back room even. I understand this is a top notch Olympic train facility, but the birthday party kids don't understand that. At one point one of the trainers had his gymnast in an area where the birthday party kids were playing. One of the gymnast mom's very upset and caused a scene because of kids being in the area of her son training. The coach was in the wrong them, but I didn't like her talking about people that paid to be there also, just for different reasons. She was definitely a Karen even had the haircut to match lol

Best place for my daughter!!!
Edit...
I am sorry to put this in the review. It was the Best place for her because it made her so happy doing gymnastics there at the time. Initially we thought it as the best, but as time progressed we felt that she was being held back and not allowed to jump to a higher level because she was too enthusiastic. she was being held back in the same class for 2 sessions , at which point we took her out.
no ill will towards the teachers , just felt they couldn't handle a 2 year old at the time.

Not just gymnastics anymore, my 11 year old is in love with their Ninja Warrior program. Kids do physical conditioning and actually are involved in a slightly regimented program that tracks them through achievements as they learn how to tackle kid size versions of actual obstacles. Everything from warped walls, spider jump, crossing areas while moving a bar from segment to segment. Basically a log of what you’ve seen on tv. The coaches are adapting as well as they take the program from its infancy to a full fledged class with a purpose. My 11 year old is always insistent on going every week which is awesome. Add in the parents night out a few Friday’s a month ($20 for 4 hours of chaperoned open play)and this place has our vote!

My daughter is brand new to gymnastics and we were excited about this place. Initially, my little girl was loving this class but "Coach" Susan frightened her that she no longer wants to return. My little girl fell from the high balance beam and she became nervous of heights. Rather than encouraging her student, "Coach" Susan discouraged her by telling her she shouldn't be scared and that for as long as she's been attending classes (3 months) she should be able to do everything including the balance beam on her own and further told her a test was coming up and that she needed to pass. My daughter became terrified and asked if she could come to me as I was in the parent sitting area and Susan told her no. My daughter began to cry and that's when she was finally allowed to come to me. This is not a positive way to "coach" students. My daughter cried and said to me, "mommy, I try to do my best and Coach Susan is so mean to me - why?" Highly disappointed in the fear this coach has created. Perhaps Coach Susan is good for experienced gymnasts but I would not recommend her for beginners.

5-Stars: Gymnastics & Birthday
Re: Birthday parties - I wanted to make sure I captured my daughter' delight at both her 6th & 7th birthday party here in my review. From the time we arrived, she staff helped me get the decorations out of my vehicle and set up inside. The coaches maintain the kids very entertained throughout the entire allotted party time, kept everything on schedule (food, cake, pics & presents) and there was no clean up afterwards.
Re: Gymnastics - my daughter started off when she had just began kindergarten, her first coach was coach Carrington. That coach recognized my daughters weakness (intimidated to try new things) and grouped her with other girls experiencing the same. A coach can only do so much in the 45 min class time, meaning there is not much time for one-on-one time because then it would neglect the rest of the kids. When I spoke to coach Carrington about ways I could work with my daughter at home, she gave me a whole list of ideas. Then we moved on to coach Katie (in the above pic) who really challenged my daughter in every way possible, helped her go from not being able to do a cartwheel to being able to execute a completely straight handstand. When coach Katie left (to join the army) my daughter was assigned to coach Emily who is the sweetest but doesn't mess around, you will get your 45 minutes with her! Most coaches also offer private one-on-one sessions that you can take advantage of. All in all, we have never been short of extremely happy with Cypress Academy @ Huffmeister. Any questions or concerns I have had, I took to the manager (Carol) with a prompt answer and/or resolution.

My daughter has been going here for several years. We were very excited about their new Xcel program for those girls who have reached beyond the capacity of the recreational program and want more, but are not quite at the team level. Coach Matt is great and works hard to get the most out of all his gymnasts. We are looking forward to the next season.

It's a great place to train, and have fun for the kids. We had been coming for almost 3 years and all coaches we have had are very good. The place can be crowded sometimes. They are great for birthday parties as well!

The classes are great my girls love their gymnastics class, but this summer we tried the "camp". It's just all day child care for a week. Upon picking up our children I never once had to sign them out. I just walked in said let's go, stood around to see if any of the "coaches" would approach, none did, and we walked out. This is extremely dangerous I shouldn't have to say why. Also our kids keep complaining about other children and just a general lack of attention from staff there. So I'm torn. On one had great school for teaching gymnastics, other hand terrible child care.

My sister almost made it to the Olympics learning here. She dedicated 4 hours/day, 6 days/week for several years and this was back in the late 80's/early 90's. The name Kara Deusinger might ring a bell to anyone that's still involved with Cypress Academy. Unfortunately she injured her knee and then her back with all the hard work she put in. Those were good times. •KD

We love Cypress Academy. My almost 5 yr old is moving to the Kindergarten gymnastics level this week because of the amazingly thorough coaches. She's been here since she was 3 and at almost 5 she knows how to do a cartwheel and a forward walk over. She's holding a pike at the bar and can flip on the bar she can hold herself up at the rings. She's so strong now, it's amazing. We are also going to send her to Tumbling for a few months just to help her strength and progress and also because she just can't wait for her class every week. Asks daily if she can go. So twice a week will help get through the days we don't go. My 2 yr old was going to the toddlers class and loved it but she began not wanting to sit through instruction and throwing a crazy tantrum, so we withdrew her. We will be going back at 3 rs old without a doubt. The staff is professional (well, mostly. Some of the teenaged instructors are very easily distracted) They are kind and give the kids alot of attention. We do love this place and the prices are fair. Especially the multiple class discount and sibling discounts.

This is probably the most professionally-run establishment of it's kind I've ever heard of. I can't speak of the gymnastics or acting programs, but the tumbling is excellent.

I have bad experience with Cypress Academy at Huffmeister Rd since 2 years old and stop my children's classes there. Shortly after, I realized from my neighbor that she had negative experience with them too. Within these 2 years, I read from our community emails many other unhappy customers of Cypress Academy with some describing the place as unscrupulous. I decided to write this review because I have hear of so many unhappy customers and feel that people should know the truth about this place. I never understand why all the negative feedback are not posted for people to make wise choice. I made mine now.

I just wanted to say how wonderful this place is!! I have two boys 4 and 7 and they love it. They learn so quickly, the coaches are soo patient and overall great facility. I the parents night out programs are beyond expectation and the kids really enjoy it! Coaches keep up the great work and hope to see my kids be as great as the coach athletes are!!
