My husband and I tried the trapeze class today and had the BEST time! Derrell (our catcher) and Kit were amazing — super clear with their instructions and really made sure we felt comfortable the whole time. The whole staff was so encouraging and patient, letting everyone move at their own pace. We were total beginners and still had a blast. Highly recommend!

The Dallas Circus Center was my daughter’s top request for vacation activities and they did not disappoint. I was amazed at what she could accomplish on the trapeze in only 2 sessions! She does have background in gymnastics and aerial silks, but this was all new to her and so much higher! She was in heaven. Instruction was phenomenal and safety was clearly a priority. They have an impressive system in place. I highly recommend the Dallas Circus Center. I wish we lived in a place where she could do this on a regular basis.

My girlfriend is super passionate about the aerial arts. She does aerial silks, lyra, trapeze, and loop straps and she has even managed to get me into practicing aerial silks and straps too. The two of us are also into acroyoga and standing acrobatics. So, it’s not surprising that one of the top criteria we had when we were searching for a new house was to have high ceilings, which allow room for aerial and acro. Our circus friends had mentioned to us that Donovan Chandler at the Dallas Circus Center installs aerial rigs in people’s homes, so it was a no brainer to seek his help once I got my financial ducks in a row to fund the building of our home rig.

Donovan was professional from beginning to end. He investigated the feasibility of the rig since high ceilings don’t necessarily mean the house has the structure to support a rig. I was actually missing a good load bearing wall on one side, so it necessitated a truss to be installed, but to my delight, it was definitely feasible. Donovan gave us a clear explanation of what would be involved in the aerial rig construction and was able to give estimates in a timely fashion.

Donovan and two of his Dallas Circus Center crew, who were also professional and friendly, managed to finish the construction of the rig in a single day (about 8 hours worth of work) and we could not be happier with the result. The end product was a truss painted white that blends better with the house’s white walls connected to a heavy duty beam that leads over to sit on the load bearing wall my house fortunately has, and a pulley system that leads to the rig point that drops down through the ceiling through a recessed lighting style hole. I could definitely see how much experience Donovan has in on site troubleshooting as I had the pleasure of watching them do the work, taking on each obstacle in stride. He even brought in an excellent dry wall guy who did his job so well with the re-texturing, that you can’t tell there was ever a huge hole in my ceiling large enough to fit a large beam through.

Donovan and his crew helped me give my aerialist girlfriend the ultimate birthday present. I highly recommend anyone who is loves aerial enough to want a home rig to contact Donovan.

I've been training aerial silks and hammock for almost 2 years at Dallas Circus Center. The space, classes, and instructors are awesome. I'm always challenged and feel stronger after every class. I've been lucky to perform in three of DCC's student showcases and have had a blast at every single one.

They have a lot of options as far as classes, but I booked a private lesson and was less than impressed by the experience. Ended up paying for 2 hours and only used 1. The instructor was knowledgeable, but 2 hours was far too much for our group and I feel like all information was not shared at the time of booking.

My husband and I just finished our first trapeze “express” class (the one hour class). I cannot recommend this facility or class more! The three gentleman that were working with us were top notch and extremely professional. Also, I can’t believe how skilled they are in assisting newbies to the world of trapeze!! My husband was able to do the tricks and a hand off, I was not out of fear. But they kept encouraging me to try! I decided to try a trapeze class to fulfill my goal to try 7 new experiences by my 70th birthday in May. What an adrenaline rush! I have to admit, I was reluctant to climb that tall ladder, fearded leaning out to grab the bar, and petrified to let go! However, the instructors were superb! Julie is phenomenal, and very understanding of student's limitations. They start small and work you up to more intense workouts. Which for someone who hasn't done an intense workout on a good long while, was very refreshing!

I had the pleasure of spending one month in Dallas and attending the Circus Center’s variety of classes over that month. I took beginner and intermediate silk classes, hammock, aerial strength and conditioning and finally an all-levels trapeze class! As an established aerialist, it was really fun navigating the other apparatuses. All of the instructors were well-educated and really kind to work with. Even though they do not have AC and even with it being a true Texas summer I had a really good experience!

Terrible experience TWICE.

WENT THE FIRST TIME and waited 20 minutes nobody spoke to me but kept looking at me and telling each other I was standing there. Then I called the number and explained I am looking at her through the window and I can see her on the phone so was my class canceled and she said it wasnt set up because I was the only one who signed up. I called the number again and texted to ask if it was canceled and was told management had changed and one is in cancun and so they will get it set up or I can be refunded. I asked to be refunded and if I decide I would choose a class again… they argued with each other they dont do refunds and the trainer didnt show and just seemed to try to make an explanation on the spot. I discussed the issues with Jared over the phone, they refunded to “the account” and not to my card so it was only a credit to use with them. Then Jared, offered to credit a second class free of charge to the same account, which I did not acknowledge because I just wanted what I paid for. So i booked the one class I paid for the “credited” back instead of refunding to my card as discussed, for today. When i show up today they have three silks set up and booked six people. So we share with strangers in sports bras and leggings, without shirts, sweating before the class even starts. This IS NOT ANYWHERE THAT YOU WILL SHARE SILKS WITH SWEATING STRANGERS. IT IS UNHYGIENIC AND THEY ARE NOT CONCERNED. THEY stated they can refund it again and they remember from last time but I stated “I do NOT want a “credited” refund so if you can only credit I just want to be done since last time I was promised a refund it was only a credit after it was discussed so if thats the case you can keep my money at this point” he only stated “ it is on the website that there are only three points and if six people sign up you will share [with strangers]. “ It was NOT!! AND STILL IS NOT. When you book it is not displayed, the site does not have it displayed, and when you click info for any specific silk class it is not displayed… he then stated it is for the beginner class only…

I appreciated the attempt to keep themselves in business but maybe ensure employees show or cancel ahead of time, not 15 minutes into the class when I am questioning why nothing is set up or anything, give all the information first, and dont say it was given when it was not and still is not.m

Edit in response to the “owner responding to review “ spoke over the phone on the first occasion and simply spoke to you to say I spoke to Jared and he will refund. I called the next morning to say you CHARGED MY CARD AND DID NOT REFUND SO I STILL HAVE NO REFUND… I would be more than happy to prove this also as you simply stated okay when i said if you can only refund a credit you can keep my money. So you just want to attempt to defend yourself but still messed up both times and have NEVER ISSUED A REFUND TO MY PAYMENT METHOD AT ANY POINT, I can prove this…. YOU CREDITED $60 to the “credit account” that is on your website and never refunded to my payment method in any way… here is the text message WHERE YOU STATED IT WAS NOT REFUNDED AND WAS CREDITED AS A CLASS AND A FREE CLASS AND NOT A REFUND (even though we discussed a refund because I stated I didnt know if I ever wanted to come back the first time… which obviously I shouldn’t have)
update:
Company still has not started a refund to my card but wants to contact me privately in a text message because i told the truth in my review. They stated was credited but just went in to get it done (after I posted my review, because wasnt) and now they state it was already done so i need to contact my bank, but before they said is credit on the account INSTEAD with a free class. I literally have proof they credited it, not refunded, when they state they didnt do. So “best of luck in life” trying to keep a tanking business afloat, even after your REPEATED LIES.

I just tried an aerial silk class here for the first time and it was amazing! So much fun! It was definitely challenging but still doable for a first timer. Our teacher Taylor went through everything step by step and was super helpful! I would definitely go again!

Super fun experience! The instructors are truly first class teachers—very kind, informative, and safety forward. Although it’s a bit nerve wrecking at the beginning (for any newbie climbing up what feels like 20 feet), they provide a lot of assurance and build upon each lesson at your comfortable pace. At the end, it’s crazy how much progress you can make in just one lesson (e.g., hanging from your legs, doing a backflip, catching onto another partner). Highly recommend for all ages—the experience was fantastic!

My family had THE BEST time at Dallas Circus Center! I have wanted to try flying trapeze for as long as I can remember and my husband gifted me two days of lessons for Mother's Day. I think it has been the best gift yet! All of the staff were so kind, helpful and patient. My daughters are 9 and 6 and I wasn't sure if they would make the climb up the ladder, but they didn't hesitate and everyone helping them was so sweet and super encouraging. We live a few hours away, but there is no question we will be back for some more lessons in the future. Thank you all so much for a great experience!

Best time Ever! Had friends in from Louisiana who wanted to try something new and boy did this deliver. We took a 2 hour trapeze class: anyone who wanted to do so probably got 6-8 turns even! I’d retired by then with tired hands; but everyone was kind and encouraging. Just the most uplifting and amazing community of people and teachers. We had the opportunity to learn so many progressive tricks. It is all very safe but very exhilarating. If you’re considering going, stop considering and book yourself a time. Went from utterly TERRIFIED to go up the ladder, to terrified of the bar, to terrified of the drop when swinging on the bar, to embracing the exhilarating feeling and doing a backflip (with a lot of room for improvement). My kids (age 8 and 6) and I all loved our trapeze class!! I was worried the kids would be to scared to jump off once they got up on the platform, but the staff was so friendly and kind with them and didn't really give them a chance to hesitant 😆. The kids were so brave and talked about it for months afterwards! I was worried I wouldn't be able to hold myself up as a 33 year old, not-really in shape person who can't do a pull-up. My hands hurt like crazy but I was able to hold myself up long enough for each swing. I even was able to do some of the tricks and hang by my knees and try do to a catch. But my whole body was soooo sore for a week afterwards 😅. The staff was great at explaining everything and keeping us safe. Overall, such a cool experience!!!

Perfect date idea! Went for the Flying Trapeze class as a first timer with my wife. There were six other first timers, all of us different ages and physical fitness levels, and they progressed us nicely through the 2 hour class. What I loved is that you jump right in and get plenty of air time. Rex was our lead instructor as was fantastic! All of the staff did a great job making everyone feel comfortable with always positive encouraging instruction. We learned new tricks on each swing and progressed to the point where Rex caught us while swinging on another trapeze. It was awesome! Definitely recommend to anyone.

READ THIS - THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE. The instructors are fantastic, take you as slow or fast as you need, and highly encouraging/positive while still providing accurate critiques to make you the best. In just one class, I was being caught by the other side's bar/person, doing backflips, and many more tricks. You will not regret this experience. Such a fun vibe throughout, never feel pressured, yet you'll leave doing things you didn't think you could do. MASSIVE shoutout to the 3 incredible staff that helped my partner and I on Sunday 02/18 (sorry I only remember Valentina's name but all 3 were absolutely essential). LOVED IT.

My daughter attended the hoop session tonight as one of the experiences she will be having as a Christmas present. The class was the perfect size, the instructor was amazing, and she had a wonderful experience. She was able to feel confident, comfortable and accomplished at the end of the session. My 12-year old grandson flew on the trapeze for the first time today. The staff at the Dallas Circus Center were terrific - encouraging and giving helpful hints to help him improve with each flight. At all times, he was kept safely harnessed by at least two straps. Two professionals were keeping an eye on his progress as well. Of course there was the safety net under all of the trapeze artists. I would strongly suggest that you give this activity a try.

I recently had the exhilarating experience of taking a trapeze class with my Granddaughter, and I can't stop raving about how incredible it was! From the moment I stepped onto the platform to the final swing back to solid ground, every moment was filled with excitement!
The instructors were not only highly skilled but also incredibly encouraging. They created a supportive and fun atmosphere, making even the most nervous participants feel at ease (including us). Their expertise shone through as they guided us through each step of the process and made the whole experience for first timers a breeze!
The feeling of swinging through the air, supported only by the trapeze and a safety harness, is indescribable. The progression of skills was well-paced, allowing everyone to challenge themselves at their own comfort level. My Granddaughter mastered all three tricks and I even managed two out of three.
It was a fantastic bonding experience for us and a memory we will never forget!
If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure, I highly recommend trying a trapeze class. It's an absolute blast that will leave you with a newfound appreciation for both the exhilaration of flight and the awesome staff that made it so much fun. As a professional circus artist, I have visited many circus and trapeze schools around the world, from Japan to several in the US along my tours. Dallas Circus Center has one thing that sticks out the most amongst all the others.

The distinct circus-feel tent set upon shipping containers not only feels like “home” in a tent but also provides a higher and more accessible space to accommodate aerials as well as the marquee activity, flying trapeze. The shipping container not only act as a base to elevate the tent structure an additional 9 feet, but they also are useful spaces as the check in and merch lobby, bathrooms (and a SHOWER!), equipment storage, party/guest lounge area, employee room and a fabrication shop where the owner, Donovan, builds and maintains much of the hardware and equipment used on site.
He has a background in general contracting and a degree in engineering so we is very knowledgeable and clever about how he designed and built this facility.
No space is wasted and it has ample parking for the multiple quarterly performances they provide with their students, staff and even professional artists entertaining the city of Dallas and it’s neighbors.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting to try something extremely fun and challenging but also in an inviting atmosphere. Book ahead though, because classes can fill up quickly!
