Working with Chris over the past six months has been a transformative journey, both physically and mentally. The results speak for themselves: My squat, bench, and deadlift numbers have soared. I've also developed a strong resilience beyond the gym, helping me tackle challenges as an engineer with grit. I would never had thought my body was capable of all the things Chris has helped me achieve.
As a coach, Chris is hilarious, kind, and encouraging. Each workout is a mix of fun and challenge, leaving me pushed well beyond my limits, but elated by the end. More than just a trainer; Chris was a mentor who guided me through my early professional life, blending each session with encouragement and practical advice.
Chris once told me, 'Nothing good comes easy,' as he loaded more weights onto the rack. This saying has stuck with me ever since, and Iβve learned to push through anything I put my mind to and beyond. He's not just helped me believe in my potential; he's equipped me with the tools to relentlessly pursue my life goals. Thank you for all you've done Chris! πͺ

I went to Chris to learn the proper technique for the compound movements and kettlebells. He was very thorough, walked me through every move and for the 2 months I was training with him I saw a very good progress. One of the features of learning the proper technique is that I was now lifting with the proper muscles in a way that was easy on my knees and joints. He has immense knowledge and is a good patient teacher. I had to stop due to a surgery unrelated to working out that is keeping me away from lifting for a few months. As soon as I get the green light from the doctor I will be back.

This review is long overdue. I trained at DSC and privately with Chris Riley (the owner) several years ago. He's extremely knowledgeable about lifting form and programming. Chris got me, in my late 30s-early 40s, the strongest I've ever been in my life. I wasn't able to continue training at DSC because of other commitments but I highly recommend it.

Having an awesome first weightlifting and personal training experience at DS&C. This is a stripped-down and unapologetic gym with no machines: just barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells. Chris is fantastic, and emphasizes teaching excellent form from the beginning, so that I avoid injury. Iβm stronger already!

Plain and simple, this is a place to get strong and have fun doing it. No frills, no attitudes, no excess. Chris Riley has built a rock solid set of programs for different goals. If you show up and follow them, you will get strong and lose fat. This is a very strong group of men and women, but they are equally agreeable and fun to work out with. All the equipment you need (Rogue and Texas power bars, kettlebells, dumbbells, platforms, outdoor space) and none of the silly junk you don't want to pay for (infrared saunas, meditation class, smoothie bar). Go check it out.

Fantastic equipment for weightlifting and power lifting. Rogue and Texas Power Bars, deep dish iron plates and calibrated bumper plates, dedicated deadlifting and olympic lifting platforms, a deadlift jack, bikes, rowers, dumbbells, an Eleiko trap bar ($$$), plenty of space on the rig and plenty of chalk.
There's more, but in summary you can tell that Chris and Brent are real equipment connoisseurs.

I attended their weightlifting workshop this morning and was really impressed with their coaches. Superior knowledge, patient, and excellent at explaining the movements and mechanics/reasoning behind the lifts. Of the class I was definitely the least experienced and worst at picking up the complex movements, but I never felt uncomfortable or out of sorts thanks to the coaches.
I can't stress this enough... these coaches are amazing. You can go anywhere and lift weights. You can buy a bench and some weights and do your own thing at home. You can go to another type of gym where the "coach" gives you 10 mins of "instruction" and then lets you to do 25 reps of a complex movement you have no business doing... with WAY too much weight. What you're not going to get from a book or YouTube or anywhere else is the knowledge these guys impart on you. Class act all the way around.
Final thought (and another thing that I was really impressed with), this was a true seminar, with direct one-on-one coaching. I was worried that I was signing up for a "5 hour Dallas Strength and Conditioning commercial". That couldn't be further from the truth. They cared about one thing and one thing only: teaching these lifts properly!
Thank you Brent, Chris, and Christy!
I'll definitely be back!!

Great spot for a weightlifting workout. Had a chance to drop in and meet coach Brent Kim who was a wealth of knowledge. He had some technique pointers that I had never heard before and that were invaluable and helped drill a few weaknesses.
The facility is utilitarian and small, geared relatively exclusively to powerlifting and weightlifting. The gym has five or six weightlifting platforms, bearing and powerlifting barbells, iron and bumper plates, and a large rack for pullups, squats, and powerlifting.
I will definitely be back to train with Brent and this group again.

Training with Chris over the last two years at Dallas Strength and Conditioning has been one of the best decisions of my life. I came in with little experience with weight training and didnβt really know what to eat for strength training. Its been quite the journey and I feel great. Iβm deadlifting well over 300 pounds and excited for the next milestones on all the lifts!
Chris has a great deal of knowledge and experience. He has taught me the proper technique on all the major and accessory lifts, and iβm always learning new things. We regularly consult on what iβm eating and my sleep habits.
At Dallas Strength and Conditioning, Chris has created a great environment in which everyone feels welcome, encouraged, and challenged no matter what the skill level.
I strongly recommend Dallas Strength and Conditioning for anyone who is serious about getting in shape and getting stronger.

I can honestly credit Chris with helping me save my own life. Before I came here I was out of shape, sad and tired all of the time. With Chrisβs encouragement, I realized a dream of becoming stronger, inside and out! He has been accommodating for questions and now Iβm training for my first powerlifting meet. If you are intimidated about trying this gym, my advice is to stop that right now and go! The people are friendly, and everyone is willing to offer advice and a spot if needed. This place has turned my life around, and because I am in the best shape of my life now, I can realize a dream of becoming a firefighter. Thank you for helping me realize my potential, Chris!

I moved to Dallas a little over a year ago and was desperate to find a gym with classes that would challenge me and push me to my limits. I tried several places around town and found what I was looking for at Dallas Strength and Conditioning. Chris and Brent are very knowledgeable and motivating, the programming continually changes and provides all the tools you need for strength and cardiovascular fitness, and the gym has a great, high-energy environment. So glad I found this place!

without a doubt the best place to increase strength, conditioning, and mental capacity. Chris and Brent have both coached me through overcoming mental struggles with both unfamiliar exercises and preparing me for powerlifting meets. Itβs no walk in the park, but everything is tailored to your capabilities and to continue to make you the best version of yourself. best gym fam ever!

Great gym! I've been powerlifting training for 12 years and I took a two year break, after a 2 year break this gym got me back into lifting heavy and they did it the right way. The coach really knows his stuff and your constantly learning new trick and getting good rehab advice. I suggest this gym to any powerlifter and especially raw lifters. Best thing about his gym is working out in a group. At this gym you have a coach, a team, spotters, and the confidence hat comes with that.

I have been at Dallas Strength and Conditioning for 2 months. Chris Riley and staff are incredible and knowledgeable trainers. Never the same workout, whether the workout is focusing on high intensity interval training for fitness or if the focus is on strength and conditioning. The gym is open and spacious with no lack of equipment. The energy is always high, focused and positive. I plan on being a client for a very long time. I am happy that I found this place.

I'm a college student who had never weight lifted before, but wanted to try something new. At first I was nervous if I would get hazed for being the chubby girl who didn't wear 'cool gym clothes' and whose only experience in fitness was speed walking 10 minutes to my local bus stop 4 times a week. But the moment I met my instructors all my worries were replaced with unexpected confidence. They embrace all levels of experience and actually take the time to build a strong one-on-one relationship with you. Classes are down to earth, fun, and 100% worth it. I recommend this gym to all of my girlfriends who are gym-intimidated by weights and believe running on a stupid treadmill is the only path to fitness.

Dallas Strength and Conditioning is go-to gym when passing through the DFW area. The facility has the necessary equipment to become a bigger, faster, stronger you. The coaches are very motivating for getting through tough workouts and are a deep well knowledge from programming ideas for your specific goals to addressing mobility issues I didn't even knew I possessed.

This just a quick note to recommend Chris Riley and the coaches at Dallas Strength and Conditioning. Chris has expertly assisted me with all of the form questions and inconsistencies I've had with the compound lifts. I am lifting heavier that I ever have before with confidence.
The conditioning program and corrections he's suggested have allowed me to safely move past my plateau.
Thanks Chris!

I was really self-conscious about joining a gym because I didn't have any experience lifting weights and I was pretty out of shape. However Chris made me feel totally comfortable and welcome. He is an incredible coach and really knows how to break things down and explain it in a way that makes sense to me. I am totally hooked now! I get so excited to go to the gym - every workout is different and they keep it fresh. I am getting stronger and losing inches (not to mention feeling much more confident).
