Trying to channel my inner Paula Abdul- this class is perfect! Perfectly old! I’m definitely rusty but had a blast (and a work out) at my first class. Looking forward to dancing the different styles in the upcoming classes.

Love this place so far! My daughter had so much fun on her first day, and everyone here is very nice. Great atmosphere and I appreciate the organization and up front prices and directions given. The resources are also good and I’m excited for the Holiday dance!

My daughter is 5 and wanted to try a hip hop class. She was hesitant at first but the instructor was great and super kind, she was able to get my daughter to start participating pretty quickly. After class my daughter would not let me leave the studio until she knew she was signed up for future classes.

This is our third year at Dana's and we love it. My daughter started a second class this year to start working on technique and is really enjoying it. I appreciate that the younger classes were focused on enjoying dance while learning movements & now that she's older it's incorporating more technique while still maintaining the fun. The teachers have all been accepting, kind, and fun in our experience. My daughter's skills have grown each year and she continues to love dance. Thank you.

This was our first year putting our daughter in ballet/ tap and she absolutely loved it.Not only did she love it, but so did we as parents. Her instructor, Ms. Kamille is the best!!!! So sweet and patient. It’s a very organized company and I appreciate how much they keep us parents updated with everything. I never miss an email or email reminder to keep me up to date with what’s going on.

This dance studio is amazing!! When we first started looking around, they were the only ones that actually replied back about an inquiry to try a class. They are so nice and their teachers are amazing! We are currently taking Ms. Amy’s class and she is so great with little ones! We have also taken Ms. Savannah and Ms. Sadie’s class and they are both so amazing! My daughter loves going to Dana’s and we’re so excited to continue her dance journey there!!

My daughter start dance at daycare, after seeing how she enjoyed it we decided to put her into an actual studio. I was having a hiccup with the online registration and was helped by office staff via text after business hours and via phone call during, the support was great! We are so excited to get our little lady started in summer classes and to continue into the fall.

My 9 year old has developed an amazing foundation of dance skills at Dana’s for the past 5 years. She has become much more serious this year and with the help of Matthew Cole, Natalie, Emily, Nicole and Heather she has become an even stronger dancer with such passion for dance. Me. Cole especially has inspired her to become the best ballerina she can be and I am so grateful for Dana’s helping her find and grow her passion.

We LOVE Dana's so much! My daughter started dancing when she was 2.5 years old. Dana's studio would send a dance instructor to her daycare once a week where they taught her Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and Hip Hop. I love that in the spring and fall, they have a parents day so we can come and watch class. I love that the instructors, play games to teach dance and make it so much fun for the kids. Dana's Dance makes learning dance and dancing so much fun, that my soon to be 7 year old, now attends 4 classes a week, that is 2 hours of dancing a week. Every year I ask her what she would like to do, and its always dance.
She loves dancing so much, she was begging at age 6 to be in the North Texas Ballet's Nutcracker, but in talking to other parents, it is a 12 hour day of dress rehearsal and 2 performances for the final day, and I just thought that was way to much for a 5 year old...but she continued to bed last year, at the age of 6, so I let her try it, hoping I would not ruin her love as dance, because for 16 weeks leading up the 12 hour day, the production day, she would dance her regular classes for 2 hours on Saturday, then another hour on Sunday! But she loved every moment of it. After 12 hours and her final performance at 7 pm at night, I asked what her thoughts her. All she could do was rave how much fun she had and she couldn't wait to do it again next year, and all the roles in the coming years that she wants to dance.
In regards to the office stay and instructors, each of them are phenomenal and so kind. It's always been the same folks, for the 5+ yearrs we have attended. We recently missed almost 2 months of dance classes, due to me studying for a big exam and taking an exam prep class during her dance class time. The office staff checked in on us to make sure we were okay, as well as, her instructor even made her a video so she could practice at home.
The amount of time, heart and soul that Dana and her staff put into this dance studio, put into the production of the nutcracker each year, and invest in my daughter and nourishing her love of dance is amazing.
Thank you all for caring so much and instilling such a love a dance in my daughter.

I was eager to get my 4 year old in dance. This was one of the most popular places that kept appearing so I gave them a call. They contacted me quickly and provided me with all the information I needed and offered a trial class. The studio is really nice, clean and easy to get around. Everyone at the front desk was super nice and very professional. I’m extremely happy with their COVID policies and practices as well as their communication through email/newsletter. We are really looking forward to the recital and highly recommend Dana’s Studio of Dance.

Front staff was rude/not welcoming.
When I first stepped in, we were a little early, got the girls ready on the bench with their shoes and I preceded to the desk window to ask a question. And the lady standing there did not even acknowledge me in the slightest. Facing the window, she even looked me dead in the face and turned around to eat her salad on the table instead. I was like, wow. I waited patiently, and finally another lady came to see what I needed and not because salad lady went to get anyone. But later when asking additional questions, she seemed irritated she was having to answer my many questions (given we are new to the dance world). I was immediately turned off before my kids even saw an instructor or saw a dance room. The studio building is nice inside. The instructor seemed great with the kids and I asked her my additional questions instead after the class and she was happy to answer with a sheet to show me costs, etc. But before they even started I was already at "We are not coming back here.", thanks to the front staff. When you have people trying your place for a service, you ought to have kind customer service. I was only asking things a newcomer would ask. The 2 stars was because at least the instructor Maggie answered my questions politely and gave me feedback about the class.

We were members of the Infinite Soul Dance Team (Southlake campus) for 2 years. My daughter loved her experience at this studio. Unfortunately, we decided to leave due to the way this studio handled the COVID pandemic. We payed the monthly tuition during this time, despite the studio's dismal attempt to provide instruction through a virtual platform, to support local, small business owners. After continuing to pay through the remainder of the season, we decided that we would not participate in the recital and the competitions due to ongoing concerns with the pandemic. The studio, which has access to directly to our bank account, fined us $200 for leaving the dance year early and did not provide us with any communication or explanations until requested. While I understand that the dances had to be modified due to dancers leaving, fining us during the midst of this pandemic does not relay support or appreciation for families that continued to support this business during such difficult times.
In response to your comments below:
Thank you for your prompt response to my concerns. The contract, to which you are referring, outlined services from Dana’s Studio which were not upheld due to the pandemic. We continued to pay monthly fees that included weekly dance rehearsals with real time feedback from studio teachers; instead we were given pre-recorded videos for the kids to watch and practice on their own. Dana’s committed to providing a recital at the Will Roger’s Auditorium, with friends and family attending to see our child’s progress. Additionally, Dana’s committed to performing at 4 competitions. Unfortunately, Dana’s was not able to provide the services outlined in the contract, but we continued to pay, despite not receiving the services in return, to show support for small business owners. We did not attend the modified recital, without friends and family in attendance, and we were not able to attend competitions that were scheduled well outside of the dance season during the global pandemic. I am appalled that the studio would subject us to fines during these uncertain times. I am saddened that we supported this business only to receive unsubstantiated fines, because we did not complete the contract at the same time, they gladly accepted monthly payments without upholding their end of the contract.

We moved to Texas in March from San Diego & in hoping to keep consistency we immediately enrolled my daughter back in ballet. It was the best thing I could of done. I feel extremely lucky & grateful that we found Dana’s studio. My daughter’s teacher Catherine is absolutely amazing! Such a sweet, talented & caring person. My daughter thrived in her class & adjusted beautifully with a huge transition. I honestly believe, ballet, Catherine & Dana’s studio gave my daughter something to look forward to every week. Dana's in Southlake 2 year old tap, ballet, and tumbling class with Ms. Linda is just perfect! We were a little concerned on how she would actually do since she had just turned 2! So many developmentally appropriate activity changes are embedded in the class in addition to fundamental basic intro to tap, ballet and tumbling! My little one is especially loving her tap time and is so proud to dance like big sister! Keeps their attention well and given their age Ms. Linda has been so incredibly patient in helping each little love feel comfortable and ready for dance! We are so glad we made the choice to start our youngest at this studio this year!

My daughter absolutely loves Dana's! Our old studio closed so we switched to Dana's in Southlake. She took all rec classes her first year and loved them all. All of her teachers were prompt, courteous and professional. The recital was very organized and much less chaotic than other studio's we've attended. Her experiences here have increased her confidence in dance and everyday life. Overall I feel like all dancers are important here whether you are a company dancer, a 14 year old brushing up for drill team tryouts, or a 2 year old just getting started!

I danced at Dana's Studio for eleven years and have known Dana for much longer. I loved growing up in a studio that valued the whole person. Dana and her staff are kind, caring, and compassionate. In an industry that can over-emphasize the value of being rail-thin, Dana teaches the beauty and value in every dancer, regardless of body type. Technique and performance are certainly a priority, but are not placed before development of the whole dancer. I feel that I received a well-rounded education in many disciplines, and developed confidence both in the studio and in the world. I would recommend this studio to anyone, especially to those with young girls.

I've known Dana since 1993. I was three years old and DSOD was little bitty. Not only has Dana created an incredible place for young people to learn the craft of dance, she has shaped the lives of hundreds of students. I hope I am able to take my kids to Dana's Studio of Dance so I can stop and say "Mommy used to dance with Ms. Dana when she was little." So many beautiful memories in this place that are just absolutely priceless.

We signed our little girl up so that she can get dance training as she wanted to try out for the Dance Team in Middle School. After her second season at DSOD, she was considering switching to a studio closer to home and where some of her classmates from school were attending.
The decision to stay at DSOD came easily after we took a mother/daughter class with Ms Dana, and were very impressed at how patient and helpful she was instructing this dance. She even helped my daughter after class. You'd think as the owner of the studio she would have been too busy for us, however, she was more than willing to help (Ms Dana is an amazing dancer herself).
Seven years later, my daughter continues to grow as a dancer at DSOD thanks to the outstanding dance teachers. Our son is in his third year at DSOD Keller where he takes Special Needs Hip Hop. I don't know any other studio that offers a dance class for Special kids, and I praise them for this!!! Thank You to the Staff, Teachers and Owners!!! Alan & Delia

LOVE is a strong word and one that's often overused, but when describing how I feel about DSOD and what the studio and its staff mean to my family, it's a very appropriate and accurate word. The teachers and staff are all high caliber and extremely supportive, often going out of their way to help with my family's needs. Both of my daughters have been training here for almost 12 years and although they are now very well versed in the arts of ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip-hop, and contemporary, they've also learned many life lessons there as well. At Dana's, they've learned how to chase excellence, be supportive of friends, and work hard toward goals. As my daughters got older and became actual stage performers and athletic competitors, they've learned skills that many children their age don't have the maturity to manage: how to handle constant scrutiny yet remain positive, how to manage daily criticisms and corrections and use them to strengthen their weaknesses without being defensive or taking offense, and most of all, how to stay humble and have fun. Although officially the studio teaches the art of dance, students there learn so much than just dance. For that, I LOVE DSOD.

My oldest daughter has taken dance at Dana's Studio since she was 2.5 and she is now almost 12. As a mom with a dance background, I can tell you that not only is the caliber of teachers and the professionalism from Dana and her staff extremely high, but the quality of the facilities is above and beyond. It is no wonder why the size of the student enrollment continues to grow each and every year. Now, my 3.5 yr old is in her 2nd year at the studio and she LOVES Ms Linda so much. She is so excited every week about going. I can not tell her the night before that we will have dance the next morning b/c she won't be able to sleep. I have referred friend after friend to the studio without hesitation. And now with 3 locations, I can refer even MORE friends!! Dana is definitely a business savvy person and markets her studio very well. However, if the teachers, staff and facility weren't top notch, the retention would not happen-- but, year after year at recital there are more and more students receiving their 5, 10 & 15 yr awards. That in itself should speak volumes!
We LOVE Dana's!!!!

I think this review should be only for one of the teacher at Dana's studio. My daughter always likes dancing so I was so eager to let her try a class when I knew her school offer the dance class by Dana's Studio. However, I hope I didn't make that decision. My daughter was not happy with the experience at all. I asked her that day when I picked her up and she didn't say a lot buy told me that she didn't like the teacher . Since she is only 4, it's hard for me to figure out what happened in that class and she seemed fine otherwise, so I think that I shouldn't take it too seriously. Anyway, we can visit the studio to try a trial class onsite since I checked the website and confirm the teacher will be different. So I took her to visit the studio and let her watch the class outside. Then I asked her if she likes it. Still she didn't like it. The reason is still the same: she didn't like the teacher. I try to persuade her that the teacher will be different but obviously the experience of that trial class left a really bad image of this school in her mind. Now, I feel really sorry that I put her in that trial class.

My 8 year old daughter took the "Technique Jazz Camp" summer camp this year at the Southlake location. This was 4 day class, held for 1.5 hours each day. We paid $115.50 plus a registration fee for the class.
Although there were only 4 students in the class, my daughter didn't seem to receive any individualized instruction. The instructor was very pregnant, and shouted all instructions to the students from the front of the room. Her 2 young toddlers were also in the dance room for the entire class, and ran in and out of the class, played, ate, and caused distrations. After hearing feedback from my daughter, I observed in the room for about 1 hour, and saw all of this first-hand.
In addition, there was never any feedback to me about my daughter, or her experience in the class from Dana's or the instructor. My daughter's dance technique did not improve as a result of the camp. Dana's also never solicited my feedback on the camp.
Beware the summer camps at Dana's. They appear to be an overpriced, poorly run excuse for a real dance experience.

My daughter attended a dance camp at Dana's Studio in Southlake a few years ago. The staff was disorganized and didn't direct me to the right class on the first day of class. They have no play area for younger siblings and have a very rude sign instructing you to take dirty diapers with you. I don't mind that they don't want parents to dispose of diapers in their restroom but I do think they could be nicer about it. I didn't care for the experience and have not been back. Now they are sending me spam emails about returning to the school. If you have an older child you may have a different experience from me so you may want to talk to some other parents about the studio.
