I have never done ballet a day in my life and I am a 44-year-old woman who is NOT thin. I truly enjoyed this class. It was NOT easy, but the instructor was professional, kind, and patient. He talked to the class like we knew what we were doing, walked around and offered simple tips, and we completed various exercises. I have plantar faciitis and it hurt during the class but this morning I woke up to NO pain in my foot. Ballet is very obviously a difficult skill to master, but I can see how very basic ballet exercises can help the body. I'll definitely try it again.

My daughter has enjoyed dancing modern, jazz, lyrical, ballet and pointe here. She has turned 18 and still will have opportunities until 24 yo. We have been a part of productions with CBSA such as Nutcracker and Cinderella. Our experiences with the staff, students, and instructors has been very positive.

This place is the worse. The owner is so disrespectful and entitled. Donβt bring your kids here.

The front desk has zero customer service skills. They did not greet me, ask me any questions when I entered, or even after I sat down to wait for someone to acknowledge my entry. (Specifically the heavily tattooed girl. The girl at the back desk at least smiled.) The classes themselves were cute and fun, but initial impression is everything so I will not be back or recommend to others.

Absolute world class school. Our daughters have been there for years and love it. The shows they put together are of the highest quality and our daughters love dancing there and could literally spend every free unite they have there.

Loved it, Loved it, LOVED IT! Hip Hop class is awesome: 43 YO, no experience nor talent. I Could not be more of a sore thumb, but let me tell you, that both of my sore thumbs are sticking and bumping up in elation!!! The instructor was amazing! It was an enlightenment for me to see just how beautiful the body could be; she outdid all those famous models doing they strut down the cat walk! Victoria, I think I found and even greater secret!!! What an inspiration to all those that were lied to their whole lives: come here and prove them wrong!!!

This place is a very nice facility, but the front desk lady can be kind of rude. I do like Mrs. Bessler and the skills that she provides in her classes.

I'm a student at DCSA and I had taken classes in many studios before I came to this studio , but this one is definitely the best! It teaches discipline and the correct technique. I've improved so much taking classes here. My teacher, Mrs. Vanessa Bessler is a great person who cares a lot about the students and helps us improve. I am very grateful for how much she has helped me. She also encourages everyone to be friendly with each other, and it makes this studio a very supportive community.

My daughters have been training at Dance Center of San Antonio for over 4 years and their experiences there have been nothing but positive. With Mrs. Bessler's instructions and the performing experiences with Children's Ballet of San Antonio of which she is the director, my daughters have grown so much as dancer. Since the day we met Mrs.Bessler, she has been not only my daughters' ballet teacher who can provide world-class instructions, but also their mentor who understands and cares their personal developments and see them beyond ballet study. I think that is one of the reasons why there are so many students who stay under her coaching for years, sometimes more than 6-7 years even with the demanding and well-disciplined training.
Addition to it, the owners have been very supportive to us especially during financially difficult times. That demonstrates their strong and beautiful faith and commitment for inclusiveness and to support the community.
I am confident to recommend this place for anyone who wants to explore and develop their love for dance!

I am acquainted with the owners of this studio, and if I had a child desiring to take dance lessons, you can bet this is where they would receive instruction! Vanessa Bessler is the consummate professional who in addition to being talented, clearly loves and cares deeply for her students. Further, she has made impactful contributions to our community through the Children's Ballet of San Antonio. We are lucky to have Vanessa and her studio in San Antonio!

Front desk lady was SUPER rude and freaked out on me when I asked what time our tour might be. We were told via email to show up prior to 10am to fill out paper work and finally asked for assistance on the tour around 10:15am. Really strange considering they knew I was coming. The teacher took our child back without introducing herself and didn't speak with us after either. Another lady (who was actually quite kind) came and spoke with us relaying information from the teacher supposedly. You're not allowed to watch your child at the lessons either, which is fine, but you think they'd let you watch the first lesson so you can at least see what they would be learning and how they are reacting to it. Facility seemed nice and clean.

The Dance Center of San Antonio is truly an outstanding dance studio providing the highest quality of dance training, while keeping things fun for all ages of dancers. Whether you are looking for recreational dance opportunities or have a child interested in pursuing a professional ballet career, this is the place to be! The facility itself is surprisingly large, with 5 studios, it is very clean, and has plenty of bathrooms. I'm unique in that my 7yr old son is a student at DCSA, so it was important to me that he not feel uncomfortable or be lumped in with the girl dancers and be treated as such. Imagine my relief. He feels confident, he pays attention and has had the opportunity to work with both professional male and female instructors. His time at DCSA has also allowed him the opportunity to get involved with another program in SA called the Children's Ballet of San Antonio. He has learned to audition, memorize choreography, rehearse and enjoy being on stage in front of thousands of people. DCSA has my highest recommendation!
