Great gym! Coach Monica was very helpful and gave me tips to improve my form and move more weight than I normally felt was my limit after just one session! Highly recommend. Great vibes, great coaching, and superrr dog friendly which is a huge plus for me to stay consistent.

My favorite gym ever!

For the longest time I had a corporate gym membership that, although I had the best of intentions, I ended up using sporadically and with no clear guidance. I finally switched to Dane's about 1.5 years ago and now just wish I'd joined earlier! It's helped me learn proper technique and make actual progress on my goals. I love the classes and appreciate how attentive and helpful the coaches are (like, for example, how they always demo each exercise before you start.. it helps new techniques gradually sink in over time). If you're like me, you'll love joining this welcoming local gym!

I love this gym. I used to rarely incorporate strength into my workouts, but Dane’s has taught me so much in a fun and non-intimidating way. I’ve noticed a massive difference in my strength and fitness since joining. I never thought I’d enjoy weightlifting so much!

Love Dane’s! Been coming here for over 2 years now and the coaches and people are the best - it’s a really great community. I’m always looking forward to the workout!

I didn’t have much exposure to strength workouts before joining (had never used a barbell), and this was also the best place to learn. Coaches explain and demo moves really effectively, are always happy to answer Qs and modify if needed, and are keeping an eye on your form to make sure you build strength safely.

Since I’ve moved to Austin 7ish years ago, I have tried A LOT of gyms and different types of workouts to figure out what I liked and what worked best for me. I’ve done it all except lifting heavy especially with barbells. I’ve always been interested but too intimidated to give it a go at your regular type gyms on my own.

Fast forward to a little over a year ago I tried Dane’s because I finally gave in because I wasn’t getting any results in what I was currently doing even after being consistent for 2 years. My husband finally convinced me to try Dane’s which was conveniently located near my house. My first class I didn’t even know how to set up the barbell rack and not only were the coaches beyond amazing and accommodating but the members as well…someone popped over and helped me out without making it awkward or too obvious I didn’t know what I was doing lol.

Fast forward again to now where I am still absolutely loving the workouts, coaches, and the community at Dane’s. I am finally seeing the results I’ve always wanted and feel stronger than I ever had before. Needless to say, I highly recommend and encourage you to take the leap even if this is something completely new to you because I started at the bottom and have learned SO much, it’s been really fun!

Dane’s: Fitness & Friendships

I’ve been going to Dane’s for a couple of years now, and I can honestly say it’s changed my life in ways I never expected. It’s not just a gym —it’s a place where I’ve found a community, built real friendships, and pushed myself in ways I never thought possible.

The coaches, the members, and everyone in between—they’re all invested in your success inside and outside the gym. Everyone cheers each other on and celebrates each other's progress. The coaches at Dane’s are not just instructors, they’re mentors.

It feels more like working out with friends than going through a routine. I love that we take the time to stretch and warm up before, have a tough workout, and end with a stretch as well.

The instructors will personalize movements that your body allows or doesn’t allow – whether you’re wanting to work on a certain area of your body, are intimidated by flipping tires, or are injured. It’s this kind of personal investment that makes all the difference if you’re wanting to see progress.

There are also fun events and physical challenges that the gym hosts consistently and Dane and the coaches put a lot of effort and thought into making these fun, surprising, and exciting.

I 100% recommend anyone just come try it out, I’ve brought friends and family, and people have a memorable time. It’s a great deal as well for unlimited group fitness per quarter or year, etc. It's dog friendly and my dog also loves it, haha.

If you’re looking for a place to not only transform your body but also find a bunch of cool, caring, funny people in Austin, Dane’s is it.

It’s a rare gem where you’re more than just a member; you’re part of something special. I saw physical progress and mental health improvements in my life very rapidly – I am in the best shape of my life because of it.

It’s the first gym that I’ve stuck with as a routine after the old ‘New Years Resolution”, and honestly, it never feels like a chore and it’s a place I look forward to going to (either location) every single day!

I've been going to Dane's off and on for a little over a year, and I absolutely love it. I originally started going to Dane's by suggestion from my Physical Therapist to help regain some mobility in my arm after a gnarly bike accident. Every coach helped me with alternative exercises for anything that exacerbated the injury, and helped strengthen the muscles surrounding it. I regained full range of motion with their help, and kept up on my general fitness when I couldn't ride my bike.

Now that I'm going back just to get a good workout, I'm loving the morning workouts with knowledgeable, personable coaches that actively help you hone your form. Difficult (but doable!) workouts that vary in complexity and activation in muscle groups.

At the end of the day, an excellent experience with great people.

What a fun and welcoming community! I especially enjoyed the Strength and Fusion classes where I could push myself under the guidance of supportive coaches. Even though everyone trains at a different level (with more or less weight, certain forms of doing the exercise, etc), it was all woven together and I felt I got my time’s worth of exercise every single time. Highly recommend.

Dane and staff create a positive and supportive environment and meet you wherever you are on the fitness journey. There are a lot of gyms that are agro in Austin but this isn't one of them. The workouts are very challenging and the staff are great at helping you scale it up or down to your level of practice. Can't say enough good things about this gym.

I’ve always been a pretty active person, but had a hard time when it came to building muscle and maintaining a gym routine. I’d get memberships at gyms intuitively knowing it wouldn’t work out long term. Then I found Dane’s Body Shop and learned consistency is about community in one way or another. The people that work at Dane’s are knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate, funny. They set a great tone, making it easy to make casual gym friends while getting in good workouts.

Every hour-long class is divided into 3-4 parts, which is then divided into 2-5 exercises, so you’re constantly moving, constantly working on something different. I think I read somewhere that they change up the workouts every other day, but I’ve yet to see the same workout twice.

This place is not only a fantastic gym, but just an awesome institution in its own right. Definitely one of the best communities I’ve had the privilege to be a part of :)

I love the shop. I’ve learned so much about lifting and the coaches take the time to explain the movements to avoid injuries. On top of that, everyone is friendly and kind. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great workout and people.
