I’ve been training with David for a little over a year and he’s wonderful! I’ve worked with other trainers at big box gyms and David is by far the best.

I am not someone who usually enjoys working out but I’ve come to look forward to and really enjoy our sessions together. He’s easy to talk to and the sessions, while challenging and productive, fly by. He understood my goals and tailored our weekly sessions accordingly, he set realistic expectations and objectives and has challenged me and pushed me to where I am at a level I never would have gotten to on my own. He’s helped me get to a point in my own personal fitness journey where even on days I am not training with him I am motivated to go on my own, having effective workouts and enjoying them.

Can’t think of any trainer I would recommend more highly! Also his dog Hero is an absolute angel and a treat to have outside with us during sessions.

I have worked with other personal trainers and fitness consultants before- and David is by far the best. From the very first session, he understood my goals, set realistic expectations and objectives and has continually challenged me to reach the next level in my “back to fitness” journey. David is the real deal of personal training!! He has extensive experience and training in his field and takes all types of clients with no judgments. He takes a wholistic approach and challenges his clients on several levels- not just weight training. He suggests ways to simplify and make small changes to get to better health (and he lives what he suggests).
I am a 50-something year-old with several physical limits and weight to lose and David has been spectacular at keeping me healthy throughout our time training while making it challenging (and fun). He has suggested changes to my diet and nutrition (and my mindset about it) that have been on point and been important to my success. He has also made me face my fears or my perceived physical weaknesses and made me think differently about them. Finally, he is organized and professional but an easy-going, fun person to work out with and has a great work out space and environment. Before going to David I was really insecure about my athletic ability and felt really nervous about working out in front of someone. David designs programs specifically for you so that you never feel like you’re out of your depth, but always feel challenged. He explained everything clearly, talked me through moments when I was doubting myself, and fostered a friendship that made me feel more comfortable trying and sometimes failing. He also was incredibly flexible with scheduling and responded quickly to any questions I had between sessions about diet or exercise. David is more than a personal trainer - he’s a highly knowledgeable coach, athlete, and nutritionist. I originally started training with David with to get stronger and stay accountable while juggling a demanding professional life.

Did I get stronger? Absolutely. I got into the best shape of my life. I also learned how to move and eat properly and how to maintain a functional fitness with realistic daily habits and nutrition.

David is a great trainer! I've been training seriously with trainers for about 20 years and David has improved my knowledge and has helped me make gains I would not have made otherwise. I have had chronic shoulder pain from carrying a bag around NYC for years. Within a few months, David made the pain go away with some new exercises including rings and kettlebells. It really worked. I've constantly been lifting not only heavier weights, but lifting them with really great form. Can't say enough great things about him. And he's a got a great dog!

I began training with David way back in 2014. I was just getting back into the gym after taking some time off and decided to go all in and do an online 12 week transformation challenge. I saw a flyer at a local gym for a seminar he was teaching and contacted him. We scheduled a one on one training session where he made me feel comfortable getting back into the gym and after that consistently trained for the 12 week challenge. Over those weeks, David helped me through not only training, but also the nutrition aspects needed to make the transformation I was looking for. He got me through the mental walls that came with trying to change so much so fast. In the end, I went from 199 to 169 pounds while maintaining muscle mass as best I could and was very pleased with my transformation results.
Post challenge, I worked out with David on a more regular basis in which he introduced me to more functional lifting techniques with different exercises I was unfamiliar with, including using kettle bells, maces, and Indian clubs. David has helped me continue with a healthy lifestyle and pushes me during each training session to become better than the time before.
I continued with David, even following him through his career to a different gym, until I took prolonged time off due to increased work duties. After that time off, I knew I had to get back into lifting properly and consistently and I knew the exact person who would keep me accountable and that person was David.
Stepping foot into “The Garage” for the first time was a great experience, much different than being in a large gym. It was fully equipped with all the best equipment and even gymnastics rings hanging from the ceiling and there was no worrying about anyone judging your workout. His facility is top notch. I highly recommend training with David. He has the knowledge and drive to help his clients reach their goals.
