My child started here in 2021 and has been enjoying every minute of it. The confidence gained from Taekwondo is noticeable in many areas of her life. Mrs. Schmidt's teaching style for children is one of welcomed playfulness with the instant ability to switch to a focused professional. I feel that is a hard ability to find in a martial arts instructor.

For the adults, I can say when I attended classes here the instruction was focused but not over-bearing. Mrs. Schmidt knows just how hard to push to get you out of your comfort zone, while doing it with the best intentions to grow your abilities and confidence.

My child has been attending the Denton Taekwondo America for the past 6months. Master Gabby Schmidt and other instructors are amazing with children – he’s both patient and firm, ensuring the kids have fun while learning important values like respect and discipline.
The classes are well-structured with a perfect mix of drills, games, and techniques that keep the kids engaged and excited to learn. My child’s coordination and confidence have improved significantly since starting, and I’ve noticed a positive change in their behavior, especially in terms of discipline and focus.

There is a reason this place has a perfect 5 star review! The chief instructor, Mrs.Schmidt is an angel among us. Not only is she exceptionally charismatic and personable, she's wonderful with children and has the patience of a saint. She's quick to correct and commands respect but does so in a way that's both direct and light and easy for small kiddos to understand. The progress my child has made here has been phenomenal and I'm glad to say we got through our first belt testing and are incredibly optimistic about what the future brings!!

My wife, son, daughter, and myself joined Denton Taekwondo America November 2019, and it has been the best thing, during these times of anxiety and uncertainty. Mr and Mrs Harrell made it easy for me to get back into Taekwondo, after last practicing over 20 years ago. They are great instructors, and my children love them. I guarantee that there is not a better Taekwondo school around here.

We enrolled our children in the little ninjas program, and Mr. Harrell has done a fantastic job with them. Their class has been very structured, with a mix of skill development, character building, fun and practice. Mrs. Harrell was one of my very first instructors growing up in Virginia over 11 years ago. Mr. Harrell later on instructed me while I went to college at Virginia Tech.
