I have been speaking with staff inside and even spoke with Mr. Colton, the manager, on issues with my account. I have yet to see anything done to fix my issue (overcharge). I have been with this gym since it opened in 2015 and am getting no

Great gym other than the fact your got old weirdos muggin you the whole time and perving out on the girls (just staring without blinking like buffalo bill) then will come up and talk trash to you, then when you defend yourself the staff will come up and starting telling you that you're in the wrong. I uploaded a picture when he would'nt stop staring at one of the girls in this posture that was about 7 feet away from him so you know who to look out for. Other than that great gym great equipment, but the strangest dudes I've even seen in a gym though by far and I've been to a lot.

This location is a dump.. The water fountains are taped up and broken, a lot of machines go out of service often, the sauna has been broken for weeks, there's isn't even soap in the bathrooms.. This business even charges you a maintenance fee AFTER you've paid your membership.. Don't know where that money is going besides into someone's pocket?

They scam you too! You could go anywhere else and cancel no problem, but they try to make you jump through hoops to steal your money. Place is disgusting.

I just don’t get all the people complaining about Dynamic gym monthly membership !! For one compared to other gyms the price is not just fair but is actually extremely reasonable! Second it’s a well maintained gym with great staff . Their instructors are polite , energetic, and full of energy . Stop complaining and look yourself at other gyms that offer half what dynamic offers .

I’m pleased to state this is the most clean and organized gym I have seen . My wife has been a member for over 8 years , my son used to attend religiously as well and also worked there his name is Ali , but I never attended myself till today . The staff that they have at the front desk are just amazing , polite , and professional. The trainer Anna David in the cycling class is just amazing . The class was fun and full of energy . The equipment is top notch and well maintained. Finally the staff at the front both welcomed members and nicely said thanks for visiting us . Dynamic is definitely the best gym in Houston and I will definitely come back again ! Read the fine print in your contract. The trap you to keep making you pay. If you put your account on hold, they'll add months to your contract of full pay. For less pay, your health insurance might partner with other gyms and let you access 3000+ other gyms. BCBSTX has the fitness program for $21 with access to 3000 gyms.
The amenities in the gym are basic and the people are the front are always joking around with themselves and pay no attention to people coming in.

I am writing this review to express my deep concern regarding an incident that occurred this morning around 6:45 a.m. I have been a member of this club for over 15 years, long before Dynamic took over, and I’ve always valued maintaining my fitness routine here.

Recently, I sustained a deep cut on my toe, making it very difficult to wear closed-toe shoes. Wanting to continue my workouts while allowing my injury to heal, I came in sandals. While using an arm machine, a man approached me and very loudly said, “Ma’am, I’m going to have to ask you to leave the club immediately.” Shocked, I asked why, and he continued — shouting — that I was “breaking the laws of the club” by not wearing closed-toe shoes and that he would “escort me out immediately.”

I calmly explained my situation, while still getting up to leave, but he continued to raise his voice, even sharing that he had gone through major reconstructive surgery yet was still capable of wearing proper shoes. As I got up to leave, I told him I needed to get my friend from the treadmill, but he continued shouting across the floor, insisting he was escorting us off the property. The whole exchange was humiliating — as though I had committed a crime rather than simply needing an accommodation while I heal or a calm informative directive about the policies.

This situation could have been handled very differently. Instead of a public confrontation, he could have quietly asked me to step to the desk, (7 steps away) and explained the policy. Instead, he made a scene, driving away not just my confidence in returning but also my sense of belonging at the club.

When I later called to ask for his name, which I discovered is Andrew...I was shocked to learn that he is the Director of Maintenance. Is this truly who you send to confront guests? He is clearly not trained in customer service or de-escalation. His manner was unnecessarily aggressive, his shouting inappropriate, and his comment about “laws” misleading.   He is giving vibes of a security guard that just got a badge/gun and thinks he is above the law.  At the very least, he needs training in customer service, de-escalation, and frankly, a hearing test.

I am now genuinely contemplating canceling my membership. I don’t know how to walk back in and face the people who witnessed the incident. I hope management takes this seriously, because no member should be treated in such a disrespectful way.

I enjoy the gym, however recently I have not received adequate solution to my Alta open app glitches. I'm assuming since I came from Rising there's something amiss in the system. I am a 5am person so I rely on the app to let me in the gym. It sucks having to hope someone is coming out the door so I can do my morning work out.

Edit: Colton was able to fix my issues with the open app. Appreciate it!

I visited your gym yesterday (8/29/2025) with the intention of trying it out, as my best friend is a member and recommended it to me. Unfortunately, when I arrived around 11am, both the gentleman and the young lady at the front desk informed me that I could not get a membership because I do not live in the community. They did not allow me to try the gym, and I felt my business was turned away.

As someone with over 10 years of experience in customer service, I found this disappointing and not the best approach to welcoming potential new members. I could possibly work near the gym in the future, and I wanted to see if it would be a good fit for me. Unfortunately, due to the way I was treated, I do not plan on returning.

I've been a member of 24hrs and Planet Fitness, but this gym beats out the others. The staffs are wonderful. Colton was awesome from the time he reached out to me when I inquired about the gym, through the registration process and going out of his way above and beyond to take care of me. True customer service is what he exemplifies.
I wake up and this gym makes me feel like being there instead of a "drag" The atmosphere is really chill and everyone there does their own thing in peace. So glad I found this gym. 💪

It's honestly not worth the price in the long run. I mean, there are lots of gym options, and this one might be the better option for where it's located equipment wise. Providing equipment options you can't get at, say, Planet Fitness. But the options are just that, things you could find at any other gym that's NOT planet fitness. Also canceling with them after moving, complete pain in the ass. I will say the only reason I do not rate them lower is because the staff has always been nice, there is options to wipe down equipment, but thats it.
I also think the clientele is just a bit too snooty and records too much for my own comfort.

Very shady business practices. I called ahead and was told the day pass was $20—no mention of any conditions. When I arrived, they said it’s actually $30 unless I came with a member. Total waste of time. Staff spent 15 minutes trying to get my credit card info into their system. I walked out and went to LA Fitness instead—$20 day pass, no hassle, and I was working out in 5 minutes. Won’t be back.

The gym is average. The machines are definitely aging especially the cardio machines. Some of the machines have been renewed but all of the treadmills are old and need replacing. They have all of the machines you would expect a gym to have, the only issue is when it's busy in the afternoon after work it's impossible to get on the free weights, I waited 20 mins to use a bench press machine and gave up. Plan your gym time during less busy hours or you will end up getting frustrated. The water dispenser also wasn't working properly. Changing rooms are again just ok (a bit aged but functional, same goes for the showers. The staff always greets everyone with a smile and friendly attitude when you walk in which is nice.

I would recommend this place anytime! The only thing I'm sad about it is they are closing the pool and Jacuzzi in a couple months and I use that regularly. It's going to be hard to get over that, as well as the membership price staying the same despite my favorite amenities going away. I’ll start off by saying the staff is honestly very nice.

I signed up on 5/22/25. Primetime during this gym it was just too busy for my schedule and I was not willing to wait for machines behind multiple groups of people. They are remodeling the gym which is great, just wish it was a little sooner.

I cancelled my membership on 6/9/25. My account remains active for 30 days during the “Pending Cancel” and I have to pay (2) more payments of $16.23. This is fine and it was in the fine print. However, now I also got charged a “Annual Fee” of $59.52 after only being a member for 41 days as of today! That’s pretty insane, and very sneaky.

Lastly, the MYiClubOnline business card they provide for you upon cancellation does not allow you to cancel on the spot, list above is the experience you should expect. I’m fine with the bi weekly payments but drafting an annual fee after only 41 days of membership is fairly unreal.

I don’t mean to tarnish this establishment and I am happy to remove my review if my annual fee could be waived.

The pool area is definitely not good. Hot tub has been broken from the very beginning. And they will not fix it. Just has hot water. They charge on a bi-weekly basis instead of monthly — seriously, who bills every two weeks for a gym membership? Guys be careful about this club and business. After I canceled my membership, they continued to withdraw money from my account. When I contacted customer service and the local gym, no one helped — instead, I was told to pay $280 or they would report me to the credit bureaus. I have since filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and State attorney general’s office due to their deceptive practices and lack of accountability. My previous gym (Rising Fitness) was absorbed by Dynamic Fitness. Had my 1st work out today. I've heard good things about this gym, and Im hoping to fall in love as I was with Rising Fitness. It was packed today (weds at 9pm). My concern is how will they fit all of Risings folks and Dynamics folks in this footprint? Staff was friendly and I do like the corporate communication throughout the transition, they have been great. Also it is nice to have 24/7 access and the option to use other clubs depending on membership level. They have a nice variety of equipment. My only concern is the crowd, it was crazy packed tonight, enough to interrupt my planned workout, just too many people. However this was the 1st day both groups were together, so I'm gonna give it some time and try to work with the situation.

I had given it 5 stars because everything was going well. The pool had been closed once for about 2–3 weeks, but now again, after about a month, it’s been closed for around 3 consecutive weeks. I literally signed up for this gym just because of the pool. I want my money back.

This place sucks! Just because they painted it black and got 1 piece of mainstream specialty gym equipment, doesn't mean it doesn't suck, and isn't full of terrible etiquette having posers. I was in there once, and my last time, because there were literally people walking around barefoot, sweating over everything, and spills everywhere. Yea, no thanks, I'll stick to my private, and exclusive gym.

Name is under Adel Zamarron. I have been in Oregon for the last couple of months as my mother’s cancer took a turn for the worst. She has been on hospice care and I am having to make arrangements for her passing. With the grieving and stress that I’ve been going through, I forgot to cancel my membership. I reached out to ABC fitness to see if they would make an exception to cancel my membership ASAP so that I wouldn’t get charged any more. I need the extra money to pay for my mother’s arrangements. I was greeted with NO EMPATHY!! I spoke to a supervisor who said she would get in touch with Dynamic Fitness Barkee Cypress to see if they would make an exception. Well it was denied. They don’t give a rats ass what your going through, they just want their money. We all have mothers, and I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone. If I was management I would be more than understanding. Yet within their cruel world, no one else’s pain matters if they’re not getting paid for it. I will never be back to this place again.

I'm going to start with the good.
If you are looking for an "All Gym" this is it. The name fits well, it is totally DYNAMIC.
-Zumba
-Yoga
-Cycling
-Cross training
-Pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, recovery massagers, red light, babysitting.
-The locker room is clean, showers are clean, bathroom too.
There's no excuse not to workout at this gym.

I want to highlight 3 people that are awesome and really give their 110%
-They look presentable, motivated, and very-extremely friendly.
They are always paying attention to help.
The TOP #1 is JA'RON
He does anything in his power to help and service you. Always so motived, great customer service skills.
The other 2 people I want to highlight that are also very presentable and go out of their way.

They run that front desk like its their own gym. very professional.

Now the BAD -
The first few times I went, there was trash by the steam room.
The glass of the sauna was filthy, and the glass by the pool.
The sauna room needs to be power washed, its dirty.
The pool and Jacuzzi floor needs to be power washed.
I always saw the cleaning cart by the men's locker room door but never saw the cleaning person. Until I went and saw a man, and I asked one of the staff if that was the cleaning guy. They said yes!
And I told them, I had been watching him and he was just walking around with his airpods talking, NOT necessarily cleaning.
I told them, its too early in the morning for those glass doors of the sauna and by the pool to be filthy, I have not seen him wiping them down.
Then I kept watching him, and he went outside for a good 20 minutes on his phone. Came back in and no wiping down the glass or anything.
The front office guys that work there, do more work than him.
Because I see them picking up trash and taking out trash.
If that was my gym he would not be working there.

I feel like the basic package is good . Paying more for the gym is just too crazy they don’t have a lot .. upgraded from basic to the middle package because of the massage chairs. But not worth $42 a month so I tried to go back to the $10 a month and now they want me to pay for the sign up and monthly, canceled my service and will be going to another gym

Love the gym, it’s always clean in the main areas, and the staff is super friendly. I love the sauna and the hot tub option. The floors in the pool area, and the steam room, could be a bit cleaner but I still enjoy my visits here!

I had the pleasure of training with Dwayne for almost two years, and it was an incredible experience. From the very beginning, he took a professional and personalized approach, tailoring workouts to my specific needs. There was a shooting in the adjacent parking lot (at the gas station) on 2/4/25 in the evening. I was at this gym, the armed gunman fled on foot, helicopter circling above the gym, looking for the suspect and ABSOLUTELY NO PER-CAUTIONS WERE TAKEN!!!! No one locked the door, no one offered to walk me and my child to our car, no acknowledgment what so ever. This is disappointing for the safety of the gym goers. Very sad there are not any safety protocols in place for an active shooter in the parking lot.

I’ve enjoyed the gym so far the equipment is clean and well taken care of very friendly staff overall. I do wish the kid zone hours started a bit earlier in the afternoon for parents to avoid the super peak times of the gym. The other gym goers are professional and seem to just focus on their own stuff making it easy to navigate and be comfortable especially if you’re newer or just getting back into it. The turf area is quite small and often they have classes on it, definitely wish it was larger for stretching and HIIT style options. Overall it’s a solid gym and especially for the price point is absolutely worth it. Hopefully they add more benches soon so for the peak times you don’t have to literally wait by them to even be able to get one at all. They offer cycle classes and yoga and all sorts of other stuff for those who don’t only want to lift weights as well which is really cool. 5 stars and would definitely recommend!
