Great space for a gym. They could use a little bit more equipment but the classes are excellent. They could also use a bit more ventilation it gets quite hot in there so bring lots of water. they keep it open aired. Very friendly staff and helpful staff. It has just a great vibe for a gym. Also comes with a good recovery room like suanas and ice baths which is great. Also the app they have is very easy to use and well designed so easy to book sessions. I will be comming back

EAAC humbles you in the best way. Everyone here is so kind and welcoming, it truly feels like a big group of friends working out together. It doesn’t matter what level you’re at, they give you modifications to make sure you’re getting the best workout with zero judgement. I’ve taken classes with Jed, Sarah and Devon so far and they’ve all been super awesome.

Signed up for a trial and really like this place! The staff if friendly and attentive. Instructors are great - especially Kyle 🥊
I even heard they have an Austin legend on their team now [James Q] ⭐️
Only downside is that this is classes only gym for the most part. Otherwise it’s in a great place and parking isn’t an issue.

Been a member for about 3 months? First 2 months was solely for the recovery room, and then I've been taking Ascend classes 2x/week the past 3 weeks.
Big fan of the vibe/culture/community of the gym. Feels welcoming, nothing over the top, the service is great, and employees seem to actually enjoy working there. It just seems like a crowd of people who genuinely just want to get their work out in and enjoy doing so.
Been taking (Ascend) classes with Devon and Luke and both have been great.
Background: been lifting for 15+ years, prior experience with MMA and BJJ. Classes are a great balance and push for me as I contrast with marathon training.

I love coming here! I needed to get back into shape after having a baby, and this gym has been a savior! The class times are super convenient and there’s a good variety of strength training and conditioning in every workout. I have a personal training session once a week with Meg who is awesome, and the rest of the week I attend the classes. The coaches at EAAC are so great. If you don't quite understand a movement, you can always ask without a worry, they will explain it. They are passionate about fitness and take teaching the classes seriously. There are a bunch of options to choose from class wise too - whether you want more of a HIIT workout, or focusing more on traditional lifts. I've been coming to this gym for about 9 months now, and the way I've been able to gain muscle, loose weight and lift more has been incredible! Whether you are new to lifting, never have lifted, or are experienced... the vibe is encouraging and you'll fit in just fine. So, just come if you are on the fence and you'll be hooked!

EAAC is the best! Been getting a great workout here since November 2022. I like the consistency of scheduled classes which always start the morning right. Very good value $ wise. Easy to get to, and of course - the coaches, who always bring the **best energy**. Joey is one of the newer coaches and he's so great! Always remembers everyone's name and keeps up with my personal tennis goals too. Shelby rules as well. We love the Ascend classes. Cool, chill crowd. Pretty good tunes. Couldn't imagine living without this excellent east side institution. Xoxo.

I was drawn into EAAC by Coach Shelby. She created a personalized training program for me to meet my goals of increasing strength and avoiding injury of my bad back and knees. Over the past six months we train twice a week and I've gained significant strength and no injuries. On top of that, we have the best time each session - chatting about life and joking around while getting in a great workout every time.
The gym itself is fantastic, I love the open layout, high energy classes, and everyone working out there. When the weather is nice, I bring my dog and she loves the fenced in dog area out back. Tons of members give her pets and she just loves the attention. My pup and I look forward to every workout.
I can genuinely say Coach Shelby and EAAC have improved my fitness and weekday morning.

Coach Shelby is the best- I had never been to a weight lifting gym before this and Shelby made me feel totally comfortable and taught me all the basics in order to feel confident. She is not judgmental and is great with both super competitive AND non-competitive people alike, making her the ideal coach for a small group setting!!! She keeps you safe in exercises but isn’t super dogmatic about form- as long as we’re safe, she doesn’t pressure us to do it a “right” way. Overall makes working out so much fun and accessible. I also love this gym because they offer cold towels complimentary and have free yoga every month!!

Short Story:
The gym facilities, coaches, and community are all excellent! EAAC has been an integral part of my time in Austin and recommend it to everyone!
Long Story:
After an injury, my PT said I need to incorporate more strength training. I didn’t have any strength training experience, but the coaches at EAAC were helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Since joining, I've 100% recovered from my injury, gained >10lbs of muscle (according to some recent scans), and made great friends - all thanks to EAAC and the coaches.
I love that they have a variety of classes from recovery yoga to intense CrossFit. I've also used their personal training sessions too which have helped me with specific goals outside of the classes. Their app helps me schedule classes and keeps me accountable, and if all that is not enough they also host member socials which are a lot of fun!
Lastly, a special shoutouts to the coaches: Megan who helped onboard me and runs some of the best classes, Jessie who has helped perfect my form to prevent injury, Kaya and Shelby who run my go-to classes and always have fantastic energy, and Chris who continuously pushes me in his class.

I’ve only been a member at EAAC for about 2 months now, but I can’t imagine ever wanting to join another gym in Austin! They are huge on building community and making everyone feel welcome and comfortable- regardless of your skill level.
The coaches are extremely motivating and passionate about what they do. I’ve been taking classes consistently with Brendon, Shelby, Jesse and Kaya - I can’t say enough good things about all of them. In the past I usually viewed working out as a chore and something I just needed to get done, but now I am genuinely excited for class because I truly enjoy the workout and all the amazing people I’ve gotten to know!

I've been a member at East Austin Athletic Club for almost two years and I plan to be there for many years to come. The magic of this gym is the community, which is cultivated by having awesome coaches and really great members. Everyone is welcoming and kind, and this has always been consistent.
I also really enjoy the variety of programming - you can align your class choices to fit your personal fitness goals or just how you're feeling that day, or both! And there are plenty of options across mornings and afternoons to accommodate your schedule.
Let's talk about coaches...I love all of them! :) Some shout-outs:
Coach Shelby: Master of class organization and timing, with deep knowledge of every movement. She always brings a smile and fun stories about the latest Netflix show or pop culture current events. She makes it a point to talk to all of us during class and it makes the class go by so fast!
Coach Joey: Even though Joey is newer to the gym, he made sure to immediately learn all of our names and he makes it very clear how much he cares about all of us as he leads us through the workout.
Coach Chris: Chris was my first coach at EAAC and he's incredibly knowledgeable about power lifting. He writes really balanced (and challenging) programming for the Ascend classes. My favorite thing about Chris is that he knows what you're capable of and he'll challenge you to push yourself.
Coach Jesse: Jesse is fun to be around and always has me laughing. He has a ton of experience with functional movement and mobility, so his stretch sessions before and after class are my favorite.
Coach Megan: Don't skip Saturday community workouts with Coach Meg! She is an expert at commanding the room and always describes each movement in a way that makes it easy to understand and safe to execute.
Coach Kaya: Kaya is so nice and compassionate. She'll always check in on you during the workout to make sure you feel comfortable with the movement and that you're getting what you need out of your workout.
Coach Brendon: Brendon is both a coach and part of the EAAC leadership team and he does a great job balancing both. His Armageddon classes are challenging but super effective (insert flex emoji here).
Yoga instructors: Jenna and Andrea are both awesome. I always feel like I am treating myself when I have the chance to do recovery yoga with either of them.
If you've made it to the bottom of this novel, congratulations! As you can see, I highly recommend EAAC to any and everyone!

Was looking for a great gym and ended up finding an incredible community!
There's certainly closer gyms to me, but I'd gladly travel from South Austin to be a part of this awesome community. I've made gains, great friends, and have a renewed appreciation around fitness.
If you're on the fence about joining -- go to a community event, sign up for one of the free classes, meet the coaches. Just go for it. You won't be disappointed.

I've been a EAAC member for 3 years and they've built a great and welcoming community. There's not a lot of gyms in East ATX, especially with a large selection of class times and all types of classes (HIIT, lift8ng, yoga, kickboxing) so there is something for everyone! There's no central ac or heating though, so peak summer and winter weather can be tough.

Thank you EAAC for getting my butt back into shape!! I joined a few months ago and loving how many different types of classes they offer. As a long-time member at a nearby "big-brand" fitness center. I've spent a lot of time working out in East Austin over the years. When my favorite coach decided to shift gears and begin operating and programming EAAC and take on personal training clients I hopped right over. Brendon Fellows is THAT GUY that motivates you to be your best self, work hard, focus on long-term goals and seek continuous improvement, which is exactly what he's done at EAAC.
For nearly 3 years I had weekly personal training with Brendon and got to see how much the EAAC facility and community has grown week-by-week. Fitness is a cornerstone of the "Daily Life as an Austinite" with a competitive market for the healthy living consumer. What sets EAAC apart is the consistency in their member experience (someone WILL say hello to you, and more than likely they even know your name), the programming (classes are diverse, challenging, but NOT intimidating because there is a solid emphasis on proper form and knowing your body) and an incredible value for the staff and range of equipment.
After doing the 1:1 thing for a few years I've spent the past 4 months as part of a small group training program at EAAC which makes me love the gym even more - I get to spend 3 mornings a week with hardworking people at a place that cares about me.
Thank you Brendon and EAAC!

This review has been a long time coming….
I began coming to EAAC shortly after moving to Austin 2 years ago, and I can’t begin to express how big of an impact this gym has made on my life here. This gym is the perfect balance between being a gritty gym with hard workouts and a community of people who are honest and have integrity. Their trainers are welcoming, fun, and care a lot about form and recovery- something that in my experience is not always the case in weightlifting gyms. I had to take FMLA for a mental health break during the months of April & May this year and I can honestly say that the trainers and the community at EAAC helped to save my life. Every class I have attended I have been met with a smiling face (particularly my favorite coaches are Jesse and Shelby!) and during that hard time I could count on their consistent kindness to help pull me through to the other side. All the mushiness aside….join this gym!! I have never seen a gym rat here and the prices are unbeatable. 😉 love EAAC!!!

I absolutely love EAAC!! from the minute i joined everyone at the gym was so warm and welcoming - not just coaches and staff but other clients too! I was interested in taking some small group training and the front desk staff directed me to Shelby! I joined her 8 week small group training and absolutely loved it. I loved the support and motivation that Shelby gave us every training session even though it was 6am! I saw really great results from the 8 weeks not just in my increased strength but also with her nutrition support outside of the gym. You can tell she really cares about her clients progress by consistently checking on how we’re feeling. I hope to join her next cycle because I loved it so much :) All the other coaches i’ve had for physique classes have also been absolutely amazing: Brendon, Jesse and Kaya. Best combo of gym, classes and community in Austin. After wasting a lot of time and money trying out other gyms in town (LifeTime, Equinox) I found EEAC. If you’re looking for a gym with a great variety of classes (Strength, HIIT, Olympic) at a ton of available times throughout the day, EEAC has it. Best part is you are free to use the gym even if you’re not taking a class and they have all the equipment you need (i.e. tons of squat racks, plates and dumbbells up to 100+). Coaches and other member are awesome and easy to talk to. They also host regular community events at local bars, Austin FC games and other places around town so great way to socialize and make friends, especially if you’re new to Austin. I’ve been a member for 8 months now and loved every minute.

i was able to cultivate such a warm and living community at this gym while in Austin. Not only do they have crossfit like classes, but they also offer an amazing boxing and kickboxing area for all levels. I was able to gain a new skill that I really enjoy. Specifically, Coach Jacob really molded me into a very skilled kickboxer! My new coaches in Florida are very impressed with my skills and I owe it to Jacob! Go check out the gym <3

I love EAAC! I just started going and joined the Strike Club. I know Coach Mars from other gyms and he’s the reason I started going here. I love that EAAC has a beautiful facility and the cold eucalyptus towels. 😂 One thing I love about the Strike club here is that they have the mitts/pads to do work with partner drills. I haven’t gotten that at many other gyms! Partner drills really help my technique improve.
Mars is one of my favorite coaches of all time. When I started boxing, I was pretty unsure and insecure about my stamina and technique. Mars was so reassuring and encouraging and it helped me show up for myself more. I’ve seen a lot of change in my technique, mindset, body, and aerobic endurance. 🥊

Over the past year, East Austin Athletic Club has been an integral part of my life, and to describe it as merely ‘extraordinary’ would not do it justice.
The first thing that truly stands out when you step into EAAC is the impeccably curated classes. The programming feels like a masterclass in fitness. These workouts don’t just challenge the body—they also engage the mind, ensuring that every member is equipped with the knowledge and skills to sustain a long-term fitness journey. It’s not just about the intensity; it’s about the sustainability and the growth mindset that they instill in each of us.
Now, let’s talk about the real stars of the show - the coaches. Their dedication, expertise, and genuine care for every individual are unparalleled. They are not just trainers; they are mentors, cheerleaders, and sometimes, the friend you didn’t know you needed. Their knack for pushing boundaries while ensuring that everyone feels safe and supported is truly commendable. With their guidance, I’ve discovered strengths I never knew I possessed.
Beyond the top-notch training and incredible coaches, what truly elevates the experience at EAAC is the thriving community. Here, fitness goes beyond the physical. The camaraderie, the shared challenges, the collective triumphs—it all contributes to a profound sense of belonging. Each day brings with it the promise of not just a great workout but also moments of connection, encouragement, and fun.
To anyone considering a fitness journey, I’d say look no further than EAAC. But be prepared—it’s not just a gym. It’s a community, a mentorship program, a place of self-discovery, and most importantly, it’s a second home. If you are ready to embark on a transformative journey where every step is guided, celebrated, and shared, then the East Austin Athletic Club awaits you with open arms.

I've been a member of the Club for a few months. I joined the small group class after trying out one of the big classes. The coach immediately connected me to the in-house nutritionist. They tailored a diet that perfectly complements my workout plan and caters to my individual requirements. The sense of community here is fantastic, and I can't say enough about Coach B, whose unwavering support and extensive knowledge have been invaluable on my fitness journey.

So proud and lucky to be a member of EAAC! I was a ClassPass person for a few years and while I tried a variety of workouts, I wasn't finding the community or motivation I craved. I was hooked after my first class at East Austin Athletic Club-- I hadn't done much weight training in the past so a lot of the moves were new to me, but I never felt judged for my endless questions or lower weights. Everyone is so encouraging, no matter your fitness level. To my surprise, I quickly became a 6:30AM workout person attending 5-6 classes per week. The coaching is incredibly helpful and personal, and even through group classes, I feel confident in my fitness growth through the intentional class organization each month. I've found a fitness routine that works for me (so much stronger now!) and I've found an amazing and loving community that makes waking up before 6AM a no brainer.

I have been a member of quite a few gyms and share that East Austin Athletic Club is one of the best gyms I've been to for so many reasons! You are immediately welcomed in by one of the coaches and those coaches never forget your name. They want to make you feel welcomed and belong, which is incredibly important when starting a new fitness journey. This welcoming environment creates a close knit community of people who feel like family. Not only are the people great, the workouts are amazing and push you. You are challenged to push yourself every single day building a better you! I HIGHLY recommend joining or at least checking it out!

The coaches are not only very motivational and friendly but also highly qualified in the kinesiology science behind the programming we do. Being a graduate student in the health professions, this is huge for me because I know I can trust them to guide me when I have an injury or need to tailor my workout. Plus the coaches practice what they preach— they are all super athletic and exhibit incredibly strong work ethics in their own fitness, which has been inspiring to me as a “student”. I don’t personally have a sporty background or experience doing CrossFit in the past—I was a dancer for many years so I was definitely not the stereotype for what I thought this gym would be. But I was presently surprised to find that the coaches met me on my own level without judgement and have always been dedicated to helping me obtain my own goals. They also started from the basics so that I learned the proper weightlifting form without feeling like I stuck out as a beginner.
But what really sets this gym apart from all the other gyms I’ve tried in town is the welcoming and fun sense of community. Both the coaches and the members share close friendships and there is always a fun social event around the corner. This makes workouts fun and helps with accountability and also has been a great way to expand my social network (since let’s face it, making new friends as an adult can be hard.)
Another unique aspect of this gym is that is is super inclusive of Spanish speaking individuals, which is surprisingly rare in town despite Austin’s large Spanish speaking population.
In summary, this is a great gym to make meaningful progress in your fitness goals, learn to enjoy exercise, and make great friends in an inclusive and welcoming environment! Give it a try, you won’t be sorry!

This is a great gym. The space is huge, airy, clean, and has every piece of equipment you'd need. I've only done individual sessions with Wladi because he was helping me rehab from a few major injuries.
I can't recommend Wladi enough; he's super intuitive in his programming and coaching, and also highly adaptive to an individual's needs. This guy knows what he's doing, and I imagine the other coaches are just as excellent.
When I move back to Austin this spring, I'm excited to come back and take classes with other members and train in a group setting. Can't wait to be a part of this awesome, growing fitness community!

I was looking for a gym on the east side that was close by and offered more weightlifting and barbell work. EAAC has been awesome with teaching proper technique and has made working hard in the gym a lot of fun! - Balanced, safe, effective, unique, challenging and intense workouts! There are a variety of classes to choose from.
- Knowledgable and friendly staff. The coaches constantly recommend good form, techniques, and proper stretching. This is important to safely hit your goals.
- Great facilities and gym equipment. They have everything you need to get a solid workout in.
- Data driven results. Each workout is tracked with a heart rate monitor so you can see how many calories you've burned after each workout and track your progress.
- Amazon community. I feel at home at the gym and have made developed some great friendships.

I personally need a class setting in order to keep me motivated to work out. In the last 10 years I have been a member of 5 "Crossfit style" gyms, but I have only been able to call two of them home. Yeah, their programming is thought out, and I still have growing pains from getting stronger after 10 years, but you can find that anywhere. I enjoy the comradery of pushing through a workout trying to beat the guy that beat me twice already this week then going to get a beer after. The owners do a great job creating a community of inclusion with happy hours, holiday parties, and hangouts. I am happy to call EAAC my gym home in Austin.

Joined back in March because I wanted a gym that was more personal than the other big box gyms, and with more focus on strength than I was getting at orange theory. The coaches and owners at the club are great, and they make sure to give you tips on how to do things correctly to not be injured, but also help push you harder than you might if on your own.
It’s a welcoming environment for a variety of levels and they have quarterly events to get to know other members.
They also have a surprisingly large amount of equipment and lots of great variety in the classes they offer, and are constantly making improvements and updates! Definitely recommend.

I have been coming to EAAC since Feb...Never have I ever in my life been this consistent when it comes to working out and physical activity. This gym is more than a gym. It’s a family it’s a community. The classes are approachable and no matter your athletic level or lack thereof- you will find an encouraging judgement free zone. My first trial week I was intimidated and nervous but was quickly greeted by other members who were welcoming and it felt like home. The trainers are some of the best I have ever come across...Priscilla (Coach P) is a killer instructor who will push you in the best way- her HIIT class has helped with my endurance and cardio game. Coach T. Will always make you laugh through the pain, and Coach Wladi will make you realize how much you can truly (safely) lift and humbly correct your form. If you are looking for a place that will get you fit, and a community who knows how to have fun-I highly encourage you to try this place out today. If you do not decide to join- NO ONE will be haunting you.
