I started going to East Side Balance over a year ago when I was in my second trimester. I was intimidated at first but Linda took the time to understand my needs and tailored each session as I progressed in my pregnancy. I kept up with it until I gave birth and believe this greatly benefited my pregnancy journey. Once I got the all clear to work out after giving birth, I re-started my sessions with Linda and feel stronger each week.

Linda is the best Pilates teacher I’ve come across. She is knowledgeable, caring and personable. I have been able to lose inches all over in a very short time. An added bonus is that I get to practice Pilates surrounded by her beautiful art pieces that inspire me and sooth my senses despite her rigorous training. Pilates with Linda is the best! I’m in the middle of my second package (I go twice a week) and I’ve already noticed a big improvement in my mobility. I had finished a stint of physical therapy for a past ankle surgery not long before starting pilates and I’ve noticed that I rarely wake up stiff now. Linda’s practice is challenging and you definitely will work up a sweat, but it’s gentle so you’re not struggling and sore after.

There are also two resident cats who occasionally sing and/or stare at you while you’re working out and it always puts a smile on my face 😸

East side Balance is the best Pilates experience I’ve ever had. The personal attention and ability to customize workouts to the individual sets this studio above all others. Gary and Linda are a great team and my body always feels better at the end of a session. I never realized how many different machines could be used for Pilates until starting with Eastside Balance. Even after going there for 5 years, I feel like there’s still new exercises for me to learn. If you have an ailment that needs extra attention or are just looking for a workout that fits your body, this is the place to go.
Adding to this review a few years later, I've been doing ZOOM workouts with Linda and Gary for the last year and a half and I still feel I'm getting a great Pilates experience. It's very personalized. They change it up so it's not the same routine over and over again. I appreciate this option to provide for more flexibility with my busy schedule and still get in a productive workout. Thank you Linda and Gary!

I have been doing Pilates with Gary and Linda for nearly a decade, and I can't imagine working out anywhere else. I love their tiny home studio, and I love that they tailor the workout to my own needs. I have chronic back pain, and have found that Pilates is the best possible remedy. Gary and Linda know that I'm in it for pain management above all else, they know I have certain limitations resulting from tendonitis and tight hamstrings, and they structure the workout accordingly. After hearing me rave about Gary and Linda for years, my husband finally started joining me for sessions to help manage his muscle strains resulting from drumming and running. His experience has been just as positive as mine, and at this point he has been doing it for three or four years. I can honestly say that doing Pilates with Gary and Linda regularly is the best thing I've ever done for my health and general wellbeing. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Gary and Linda really know Pilates and the science behind it. They also get to know their clients very well, adapting the Pilates regimen to areas that need work and with understanding of where the client is physically. The routine evolves over time, even session to session.

I loved training here. Gary and Lynda are awesome people and amazing instructors - they're deeply knowledgeable, caring, and encouraging. The variety of pilates equipment available for lessons is one of the best parts - as a rigorous athlete, having access to the Cadillac was amazing. If you're looking for great instruction, a serious workout, and a focus on total health and well-being, this is definitely the place to go. The studio is smaller and more personal than a box gym (for sure) but with better equipment than you would find at most pilates places.
