Admit, I was skeptical since I have tried many trainers, gyms, and many classes. I took the evaluation and I was hooked! It all made sense. Where and how my body had changed and how I could become stronger. It’s the first time I am learning how my body and muscle speak to my brain. A great way to start my day and my new way of my physical self becoming stronger .

Kristen at EMX is amazing! She is knowledgeable, caring, and a good listener. I have worked with trainers in the past with little success; Kristen is the first trainer who has been able to work around and improve previous injuries. I’m about to end my journey with EMX, and I wanted to share my honest review about my experience. I’m a former athlete who has accumulated some injuries as I’ve gotten older. From an old horrible ankle sprain to a torn tricep to TFCC in the wrist, I had a lot to work with. A friend recommended EMX. I was skeptical at first, since I’ve been going to a trainer and also PT, but gave it a shot. The first month was sort of slow (but I was warned by them that it might seem slow, so not surprised), but then it ramped up and things started lining up for me. I’m still not 100% yet, but I’ve gotten farther in 2.5 months than I did in 6m of trying other ways with other folks. The pros: very knowledgeable, accommodating for times, they have a million different ways to target muscle groups or exercises—without causing more injury or pain which is awesome, they are patient, the facility is not crowded. It’s usually only 2-3 clients there at once (and one on one with the trainers), quiet there, extremely kind which makes a difference. The only “con” is that it’s not cheap! But I suppose when health is a priority that’s ok. Also- it’s not outrageously expensive, but adds up for someone in my salary bracket. In any case, give it a try. It’s great for those who have injuries like myself or someone who is really wanting to focus on form with a trainer.

Kristen and Michaela are the best! After having a baby as well as some pre-existing injuries and limitations, they have catered a plan to help me get stronger and more confident in the gym. I love their commitment to doing things the correct way and explain the technical form in a way that's easier to understand and duplicate.

I've had significant less back pain and feel stronger each time I leave.

I started several months ago with a goal of being able to get down to the ground and up again without using my hands for balance and support. A small goal, but I’m proud to say mission accomplished with the help of Kristen and the folks at Elite Medical Exercise.

I could’ve gone elsewhere, but I wanted to do it right and avoid injury. Their approach is methodical, focused, and results oriented.

Thank you Elite Medical Exercise! This is the first gym I’ve ever been to where someone actually took the time to explain which muscles and posture to engage and hold. The whole team is wonderful but I primarily worked with Michaela. She is an absolute dream and 100% amazing at her job! I work as a Physical Therapist and even though I know how to treat bodies it's so hard to treat my own and give it the same attention I do my clients. I had chronic hip pain from covid/PT school and Michaela has helped to make that pain almost completely disappear + make my hips and back stronger. 10/10 recommend!!

I cannot say enough positive things about Michaela and her team at Elite Medical Exercise. Her approach to building a strong and functional foundation is detailed, specific, measurable, and effective.

Focusing on form rather than rushing through the motions has been a game changer for me. The subtleties of the exercises she, Tristan and Malcolm lead you through are really effective. It has changed the way I approach and appreciate fitness and wellness.

There's an educational component as well that I really appreciate. Understanding the why behind the movement, position, weight, etc. is something I also like.

I feel thoroughly understood and taken care of from a longevity-enhancing and functional fitness perspective. The assessments of my ranges of motion, mobility taken at the beginning have vastly improved. I feel really great. And I definitely notice a difference from when I started working with Elite.

I started seeing Michaela (via Zoom) in January. At that point I had had to quit pilates because of repeated injuries to my knees. I was having trouble even going up and down stairs. It is now October and I am able to (carefully) do squats again. Michaela is not just knowledgeable, she is intuitive. When an exercise doesn't work well with my body one way, she always has another that accomplishes the same goal. Do not accept that growing older means moving less or giving up exercise all together. You can get stronger than you are now without injury. I could not recommend Michaela more highly.

I feel so fortunate to have found Michaela/Elite Medical Exercise! I've worked with many trainers over the years; she's far and away the best of the best. At 63, my goals are strength, flexibility, and balance. I've improved in all three in the year I've worked out with Michaela. Even better, I know I'll see more improvement in the future. One of the many qualities that makes Michaela unique is her use of highly visual cues that really stick with me as I work to perfect my form. She'll remind me to "hinge at the hips," and "zip up my core." Once these cues really sink in, the ability to make corrections comes much more naturally. I'm a fan, and no matter your level of fitness, I bet you will be, too!
