My nearly 4 year old loves the class she is in. The coach is very engaging and so great with the kids. My little was pretty nervous to go to class without parents the first day and the coaches were so understanding and patient while encouraging her. Ever since that first week, she can't wait to go in when class starts! They do a lot of different activities during class and the kiddos are always full of smiles and they are getting so good at their new skills so quickly!

"The staff at the front desk were extremely rude and unhelpful. They are bot there ti help anyway , facility is really messy abd not clean especially disgusting restroom, owner only cares about money and not customer satisfaction, The only good thing about that place is coach Temra , but I am definitely not recommending this place 👎

I took my grand daughter there for her weekly session. My first time. The front office staff was outrageously rude. If it were my decision, she wouldn’t go back. Something is wrong with that place.

We have been at Empire for 5 years. It’s my daughter’s home away from home. She is safe, loved, and pushed to reach her full potential. Excellent coaches who know what it takes to succeed in gymnastics.

My daughter has been at Empire for (I can't remember how many years) and she loves it. The coaches and staff truly do care and are committed to life lessons that go beyond gymnastics. I love watching my daughter grow in strength and confidence.

We have been at Empire for a little over 2 years and to say that my daughter has excelled would probably be an understatement because she has exceeded expectations. The coaches truly coach, genuinely care, and openly communicate to the gymnasts as well as to the parents. Their priority is on safety and honing in on each gymnasts individualism, it is so beautiful to watch and be apart of. The staff is top tier, communication in this fun yet stressful environment is key and the office manager is always 2 to 10 steps ahead, it is refreshing. The parents and gymnasts are inclusive and do so many fun activities/events outside of the gym, away from gymnastics. I am so happy to have my daughter be apart of the Empire family and I recommend any and everyone to bring their children and join because this environment goes beyond gymnastics; problem solving, daily exercise, making friends (parents and kids), and learning fun new skills that can be utilized in other sports and aspects of life.

My child has been going since 2021 and I have felt there was no progress as far as her classes. She moved up one class in the whole three years the staff is always changing the coaches are usually nice but even if the front staff change you can rest assured they will always be rude to you no matter what. When i got my email of me dropping my daughter (because we found a new gymnastics that already has paid more attention to her in two classes than they did in two months) they had her enrollment date off by a YEAR they didn't even know how long my child had been attending. They just don’t care and i think are understaffed

I’m surprised that My 5 year old loves his gymnastic class and keeps going to the class. Coach Brook is very caring and professional. She keeps the boys busy at every minute’ highly recommended this place!

We love empire! Our daughter has been there almost a year and has learned a lot! All the coaches seem committed to helping them learn form and discipline. I highly recommend Empire Gymnastics if you are looking to have your child involved in gymnastics.

I was here in the 3rd grade it was an amazing experience but the one thing is when I missed out on it some if the coaches would get mad at me but they taught me a lot of things I’m not as flexible as I used to be which is why I want to go back but not here and it costs to much to teach a child something the parents go buy all the stuff necessary such as leotards all they do is teach for a hour to little kids i remember the climb the rope it gave me right burns on my hands and on my inner thighs as a girl there and one of the male coaches I never had but he still made me feel uncomfortable asking about my medical Bracelet asking why am I wearing leotards that go down to my mid thigh he asked me why not wear a bathing suits leotard I never understood what he meant but now I do

We attended the Mom and Me class tonight and Miss Brooke was fantastic! She was patient with the kids and her instructions were very clear. She had plenty of activities planned for the kids and the rotations lasted just long enough that my almost 2-year old didn’t get too distracted. There were only about 4 kids in the class, which I felt was a good number. The instructor for the Weds mommy and me class gets 5 stars from me.
The facility, while quite large, seems a little shabby, and some of the pads and bumpers need to be repaired or replaced. Structurally the equipment seems fine, but we only used a small portion of the equipment. The facility gets 3 stars, maybe 4. It seems like a very large facility.
The front desk staff was helpful, although the lady working the desk tonight didn’t know how to set up my card for recurring payments, and we signed up for an entire month of classes, with the intent to attend the mommy and me class until my son is too old for it. Front desk staff gets 4 stars. Anyone who works the front desk should be trained in all the operations.
I am going to have my 9 year old daughter try out some classes here, too, and we’ll see how that goes.
Update 7/24/2021:
We loved Empire so much we are back again! My now almost 5yo has loved the classes and is moving up to the beginner boys class. We called a few other gyms and they didn’t have boys gymnastics, so we came back to Empire and haven’t regretted it!

My daughter has been attending classes here for nearly a year. She started in basic gymnastics and quickly moved to 2. After a few months in gymnastics 2, her coach (who she adores) suggested moving her to tumbling. She was quickly moved to tumbling 2 and is currently being switched to tumbling 3. Her coach is very thorough. She absolutely loves coming to gymnastics here. She's even attended a "parent's night out" on a weekend and enjoyed herself there too. I'm so happy that I was told about this place, and I'm so happy that everything is going so well. I read the reviews and I haven't had any negative experiences here. Maybe they've adjusted their staff/class sizes/etc. Either way, no complaints here!

We took our 5.5 year old to a trial class. I was informed he had a substitute teacher, but he was very kind. I purchased a Groupon after this for his first month [3 more classes] We are excited to go back tomorrow! He had his trial class mid December. The front desk was knowledgeable and efficient. Our little guy refused to stretch and had some anxiety in his first visit and his teacher was very patient with him. He was good to go once the tumbling started ;-) Thank you for offering boys gymnastics as so many around the area do not. I find the $70 per month a fair price for 4 classes. I hope to continue here and that our little keeps enjoying it. Saturday class makes it perfect for our schedule with one in Kinder and no evening time available.

My daughter was an optional gymnast at Empire for several years, but we chose to leave after the owner told me that her number one priority is protecting the coaches over the gymnasts. She was livid that my daughter told us things that happened at practice, saying she could no longer trust my daughter, as she expects the girls to keep secrets from their parents.
They also enroll way too many kids for the number of coaches. My daughter was seriously injured when she fell from the bars when the coach walked away while he should have been spotting her. There were too many kids for the number of coaches and they had knocked the mats out from under the bar, so her fall wasn’t cushioned. No coach even called us; my daughter had to call to be picked up for X-rays. (The coach made her call from the coach’s phone for proof they had contacted us, but she told my daughter she didn’t actually want to talk to us.). And when we arrived to take her to the ER, the head coach did not even come speak to us about the injury.
Empire will take yiur money. But they won’t keep yiur child’s well being at the forefront. They will expect her to keep secrets, and if she gets hurt at practice, they won’t take care of her. So just be warned.

Last summer, we put our daughter in camp here. The person leading the camp was very rude, and the class was chaotic. We searched around for other places, but Empire still seemed to have the best reviews. So, we tried Empire again for one time/week classes for our 5 year old and 3 year old. While my 5 year old has gotten okay coaching, she hasn't really progressed. There just isn't enough time for instruction for the number of kids in the class. The kids stand in line one behind the other and perform handstands, cartwheels, forward rolls, etc. The coach is available about once per movement to correct form. My 3 year old ended up with the same instructor that was rude to us over the summer. My son is the only boy and he is in a class with about 5 or so very sweet little girls. I have sat in the parent's area for about 6 weeks now waiting for the same level of attention on him as the other girls receive and have decided it's time to take him out of the class. After watching the instructor allow my son to skip one of the movements (her head was turned watching other girls EVERY time), I decided to confront her. I asked if he was supposed to do the same movement as the other girls, and she said that he may not be "emotionally mature" enough to do it and that he may be afraid of heights. When I told her I had watched her for 6 weeks not engage with my son, she was passive aggressive and told my son that she was "glad his injury had healed" and said to me "maybe he's scared because he fell." You can interpret that however you wish. My interpretation is that this instructor not only has no patience for children with energy but she also does not want to take responsibility for their development.

Awesome coaches, nice and helpful front office staff and first class facility. The coaches here are excellent at instilling confidence in the athletes from beginners on up. We started in June and my child loves her classes and coaches. I recommend enrolling in both skills and tumbling so you can see what your child likes best. Mine ended up liking both.
