It takes a lot for me to be warm and I was hot. When I left and got in car with sun setting in, and it was only 64°. Went yesterday on a pass and regretfully I won't be joining.

AC is controlled by corporate, so that tells all. Almost empty, my treadmill was dusty, but overall the gym was very clean. Music was turned low, my preference. They provided sprays to wipe equipment.

They should cut off half the gym, reconstruct and lease out, so they can keep the gym cool and not so humid.

UPDATE: Checked it out in the afternoon in mid-June, and it was HOT outside, but nicely cooled inside, so I joined. But still too hot and humid for me while I'm working out. Is this Fort Worth temperature or me, idk. Will return when it cools down.

This is a rebranded LA fitness location. LA fitness memberships work here.
This location is nicer then the west 7th LA fitness. The locker room is in good shape. There are racquetball courts and a large basketball gym.
There are a lot of cardio and weight machines all in good shape.
The freeweight area can be a little crowded and the dumbbells are disorganized, but that's the clients' fault.
If they had towel service it would be 5 stars.

Everything you need in a gym, pricing is good, staff is nice. Stars taken off because the locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers are often filthy and it feels like they are only cleaned at the end of the day. Basketball court is rarely cleaned, mopped or swept, the wall padding has years of buildup of sticky dried sweat drips on them that are never cleaned as well. Workout equipment is cleaned at least.

I re-signed up recently, and let me say that a few years ago when it was still LA Fitness this gym was in great shape. Now that this is Esporta, the quality of the machines has gone way down. All the machines (especially the treadmills, and elliptical ones) are so gross and worn out. Half of them don't work, and the ones that work have problems. I hope they are in a transition and will upgrade them soon. Also the air is very stagnant in the entire gym. The locker room is hard to breathe in due to 200% humidity. It's not what I remember. The staff seems pretty friendly, but they need at least a half dozen cleaning crew. I haven't seen a single person cleaning the machines.

We really like LA Fitness. There is something for everyone in the family. The machines are grouped greatly. Back and biceps, chest and triceps, legs and abs! Swimming, hot tubs, sauna, showers, boxing, yoga and spin, racquetball and baskball. My kids are older but they have a kids club if needed. Great place for all of your fitness needs!

This gym has lost all of their amazing master personal trainers because they do not pay them adequately or prevent non-LA Fitness trainers from trying to take their clients within the gym.
They now have an UNSAFE and INEXPERIENCED trainer who they are forcing all personal training clients who are under contract to work with! They are refusing to release clients from the master training contacts that they cannot fulfill! They are haphazardly rushing to hire new trainers to fill contracts without caring if these new trainers are UNSAFE!

The dirtiest LA Fitness club I have ever been to. Truly appalling. Have also never seen so much broken down/rusted equipment. I asked someone why it was so hot and musty in there and found out their AC has not worked for over a year! That is ridiculous! Sean was great as far as customer service hands down. The GM there has no need to be running this place. I was having a life experience where I needed to push my payment out just one week but i stead of working with me. He advised me that i would have to cancel my membership and start over when i decided to come in again. So I advised the GM to cancel my membership as I was standing at his desk. He had a short attention span instead of telling me he went ahead and canceled my membership already I was standing at his desk while he was messing around on his and chatting with a guy of to the side of me. I could hear the conversation he was having and it was not even about club business. I do not recommend this place for a good experience unless your going to see sean and he generally works of the evening. JV is definitely not the answer here. If your going to see this GM I highly recommend you turn around and walk out the door and go to any planet fitness. The staff will definitely take care of you for sure.

I'm a member of LA Fitness from out of state on a business trip to this area. The location of this gym is in a very sketchy area that management has zero control of at this point. I did not take this into account for my rating.

Positives: smelled clean upon entry, plenty of room and equipment, pool looked clean

Negatives: Staff needs to be professional when speaking to anyone and not use slang and speak very clearly. I heard a staff member speaking to someone on the phone about a membership and his tone was very rude (he was not the only staff member I heard in this manner)
Mens locker room restroom was a complete warzone! I can't believe it looks like this! It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks.
Equipment looked fairly new, however, metal surfaces and bars showed severe signs of surface corrosion, which is a dead giveaway that equipment is not being serviced and cleaned properly.
The manager walked around and did not look approachable, but I did ask why restrooms were in that shape, but he failed to answer the question through a lengthy response.
And for the last thing (something management can and can't control) People that show up in non-gym attire and work out just to be in the way. There were at least 5 guys in there in jean shorts and nice shoes moving around the entire gym doing nonsense while staring other gym goers down with evil smirks. Trust me, it was their first time working out. But people show up as if they just left a night club (not the older people who wear jeans)!

I ended up just using my hotel gym...complete bummer since I need the heavy equipment. Sucks to see an LA Fitness in this condition. Iui

About 2 months ago, I tried to get a guest pass at this location for my brother.. and the manager told me they don’t offer guest passes. He lied to my face. He was rude and condescending. This is a very large gym..even for LA Fitness.
Its clean and the exercise machines are plentiful and in good working order. I have been a number of times this past week and I haven't run into the crowd yet. There is a salt water swimming pool, so no chlorine smell. The women's locker room is clean with satisfactory space and plug in areas. I hear the zumba class is real popular. I didn't see yoga, pilates, or kick boxing offered. It does have a special area for those of us that are little shy about working out around others. Great idea!! I like this gym.

We have complained to management for months about the air conditioning not working here. I have been a customer of this club for 16 years. Maintenance has really gone downhill. We had 2 sets of water fountains at one point. One set had an out of order sign posted for 6 months. Their eventual solution was to just take out the fountain and sheetrock over the hole. The other fountain doesn't cool at all. Two weeks ago a customer had a heart attack in the racquetball courts and the club had to be temporarily shut down. I think heat definitely attributed to this. Management doesn't care here. They just want your money. My credit card expired at one point and I thought they were going to send "Guido" after me. They called me literally 10 times in one day over $25. There are better options out there. La fitness should hire an attorney to proofread their leases and not pass this burden onto their customers.

I have been a member for about seven years without too much to complain about, but the last few months have been terrible. About half the a/c units haven’t worked in over three months. They say they’re in a dispute with the property owners, but who knows. The local Mgr is worthless if you try to talk to him about it. If you’re lucky enough to get him to look up from his phone, he’ll just tell you there’s nothing he can do and it’s Corporate’s problem.
I about passed out again trying to play racquetball. There is zero air being circulated in the courts. You’ll notice in the pics how many fans they have to try to circulate some air, but a lot of good that does in an enclosed court with four people running around.
You’ll also see a temporary a/c unit piped into the ducting, but that’s only in one area. They used to have more, but I don’t know where the others went.
To top it off, all four water fountains in the main area are all lukewarm at best.
Finally, the last few days they’ve had the sign posted about the men’s sauna not working. What is should say is “Men’s sauna is not working, but you can use a racquetball court!”
Save your money and go somewhere else!

I only come to this gym because it’s the best choice among other not very good options. I been coming for a year and I still see same problems in the same spots and no one seems to bother to care. This is to light a fire under new management. I am at this location 4-5 x per wk. Fumba who was previous manager ask me what they could do to improve. He is gone to another LA fitness now and had things shaping up but that is no longer the case. We have some ignorant and un-responsible clientele which doesn't help. They treat this place where they pay 30-40 per month without the thought of the next person using the equipment. I went in this morning at 9:00 so I know it wasn't cleaned up last night or this morning. Weights every where It was disgusting and this is becoming the new norm. The only way to change Clientele habits is to change employee habits. The trainers and or sales people need to rotate and clean the dang place up. 1or 2 people need to take 5 minutes each every hour and start re-racking the weights and putting them back where they belong as well as picking up paper towels and plastic bottles. Even in this day and age I think that demonstrating that they care will get others to start doing the same. This facility can be so much better with a few changes. Some of these changes will cost money. It all starts with Management and the product the present and or represent.
1.Have spray bottles with trash bins around the facility to clean equipment and put waste in.
2. I walk out of there and it is hit or miss that an employee says have a good day. Not all but most are on their phones.
3. Employees need to interact with clients more.
4. Couple of more girls/women that work there to attract more of the same and I guarantee more guys will start showing up. (Law of Attraction)
5. replace some machines and re pad some.
5. I will be here regardless it just could be so much better.

Used to workout at the Crockett St. LA on West 7th, but moved and have to come here. Men’s restrooms never have soap in dispensers ( you have to find the lucky sink), seems like half the cardio equipment have been out of service for months, and they just redid the men’s locker-room floors with carpet (probably not the most sanitary). Clientele doesn’t seem interested in re-racking weights. Wish West 7th LA wasn’t so far away from me.

It's a gym all the P.E. kids grow up and go to...not because it lacks equipment. A lot of people do not rack weights they just throw them wherever. If you are strong enough to lift it, your strong enough to put it back!!!
How is it safe to dumbbells all over the place? I feel sorry for the staff what a position the manager must be in, have your staff, half seem to be women... pick up weights behind man children that can't match numbers, 125lbs don't go in the spot that says 60...
If the leg press doesn't have a spot for 25, 10, 5, and .5 its not a bad design you are doing it wrong its leg press!!! If you are too weak to go up by 45lbs at a time take your 25lbs off the leg press when your done...
If they set high standards how many people will stop going to a gym because they make you rack weights? How many people will they gain?

I am a dedicated gym goer. This place is spacious, that's all. Apart from that, the equipments are old and rusty. Also they have only 2 exercise balls. They have no kettle bells and no stretching equipment or rollers for warm up. They close at 5pm on weekends which is ridiculous. Also, they are pricier than Planet Fitness close by which have new equipment and open 24 hours.

Have yet to step foot in this location but the sales manager Valerie has made sure that I don't. I called to make sure my membership through my insurance would be accepted. Granted, she tried looking me up by name but no avail. She told me to call my insurance company to see what was wrong. I called the insurance who called the LA Fitness on 3 way. Valerie had no idea that I was on the line. She proceeded to tell my insurance agent that I had no idea what I was talking about and that she couldn't talk to her, she'd have to talk to me. The rep told her I was on the phone and she hung up (big shock). In my opinion, customer service goes an extremely long way, and if she's over sales, I can only imagine the amount of revenue she brings in for that location.

Very dirty, mens locker room carpet is disgusting. Restrooms are not maintenanced on the weekends. This place needs a remodel baaaaadddd. Too much humidity in this place everything is rusting out.

While the staff is pleasant this place needs some work done. The ceiling is falling apart in the women's workout room. There is a huge water stain on the carpet outside the women's locker room.

Machines are usually free. Free weights need responsible organization otherwise it is a little time-consuming to find the weights you want to use. Nice racquetball courts. Can't comment on the basketball court. Decent lap pool, but there's usually some grease or grime floating on the bubbles in the middle of the spa. Showers are decent, and the water is always warm to hot and can get quite cold. Pretty much all of the floors are carpeted, which means a stinky or mildew mess in the locker rooms, too, except for the shower and bathroom and pool areas, and courts. Water fountains are adequately placed and provide decent temperature water. I didn't test the cleanliness of the water or anything.
The hours are less than the downtown hours by 1 daily, and also quite a bit less than other gyms like 24Hr and Planet Fitness.
The sauna is the saving grace as it is usually in working order and keeps the heat going for a good relaxation and detox.
I've heard the downtown location is tidier.

State of the art equipment that tells your what muscle group you are working out. Very friendly and helpful staff. Also has indoor pool and sauna. One of the biggest gyms I have seen.

This place needs new management asap. If you plan on using a locker bring ur own lock. Stealing is known at this place. Also they don't even have towels for the shower. Very disappointed by this location.
