As someone completely new to martial arts, I found this gym very welcoming. The coaches will guide you, but you will also learn a lot from other students. It's a friendly community and they have the patience to teach and see you grow.
My only regret is not going there before. A few years ago I tried a few different martial art gyms nearby and didn't find them a good fit,I ended up signing up in a different sport until I found Fighting Fit.

I trained at Fighting Fit for almost a year and cannot recommend it enough. It’s about an hour drive from my work and the fact that I did that drive to go there says a lot about how great Corey and Forrest are as teachers. Everyone is super friendly and you become friends with your fellow classmates easily.
It is thanks to coach Corey that I now have a passion for martial arts. The welcoming atmosphere, quality of teaching, and people all make this a truly unique gym that I have many great memories in.
Cannot recommend enough!

I started out as a complete beginner with 0 experience, and although I only did a month here, I learned so much with the drills here. The teacher was great at his job, with communication and his experience. The people there are all awesome. Would definitely come back if I had the time. Would recommend anyone to come here, it’s a fun environment.

I want to give a big thank you to Coach Forrest and the team at Fighting Fit for creating such a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you're looking to compete or just train for fitness, this place is great for all levels. Coach Forrest really stands out for his passion and dedication. He takes his time to explain techniques and ensures everyone feels comfortable while learning.
Coach Corey is also one of the nicest, most approachable guys you'll meet, and his passion for training shines through in every class. Lastly, a special shoutout to Coach Joseph! His noon classes are always fantastic, and I really appreciate how he took the time to correct me and help me improve where needed. I’ve learned so much from all of them!
Highly recommend Fighting Fit to anyone looking to improve their martial arts skills or just get into better shape.

This gym has taught me so much coach Cory and coach Forrest have been great coming from never doing Muay Thai or jujutsu, they have taught me so much. They make sure you get it before moving on and the people I’ve met have been so helpful in meaning too. If you are thinking about leaning either Muay Thai or jujutsu or wanna learn both this is the place to be.

I trained here for 2 years doing kick boxing only since i didn't want to do sparring and just take the kickboxing classes for working out. The coaches are amazing and the community is really nice! It's nice having someone tell you what combos or calisthenics to do. Everyone treats each other with respect and you can just have fun while getting a good workout. I hope to come back in the future, shoutout to coach Forrest, Corey, Sydney, Joseph, and Jeremy for making it an amazing experience!

A truly outstanding training experience. I’ve trained at fighting fit kickboxing and jiu jitsu for about a year. It was one of the best decisions in my life. Corey is an amazing coach, he will quickly make you feel like you’re at home. On top of that he knows what he’s doing. Forrest is a great coach as well he handles a lot of the private classes. They keep the gym clean and remove any problems before they become a problem. A lot of great people train here. They also bring some amazing people in for seminars. Come join the family you won’t regret it!

My dad went here when I was just a little kid and it was still a boot camp, and after growing up and boxing for a few years my dad had recommended to make the switch now that it’s more of an mma gym. Still run by the same coach Forrest that was here when my dad was, along with coach Corey, the place has been great and I have no regrets. The private lessons with coach Forrest follow a strong curriculum that covers all fields of striking, from clinch work to long range kicks, in a manageable and clever progression that uses limited sparring to focus on specific techniques and parts of the curriculum and has really helped me improve to be more than a boxer and I’m sure will continue to. The regular classes taught by coach Corey are just as good and provide great drills, the coaches are very knowledgeable and very helpful about learning any part of combat they go over. The gym has a homey environment and everyone is so nice which makes the sparring here great, I’m sure especially for people just beginning to learn and start to spar. Overall great gym with great people that focus on all sorts of technique and encourage creativity with your way of fighting.

First a quick review: Best gym in Austin, not only do you get a great workout and become a better fighter, but you also have a very supporting community that helps each other grow and enjoy the pain, like family!
Now my story: As a Bruce Lee fan, I joined the gym without knowing what to expect since I never did any martial arts, but hoped to learn and experience a bit of what Bruce Lee taught and loved. What did I get? Heck of a lot more than I could ever hope.
Coach Forrest’s Elite program has been fulfilling my desire to learn and grow as a martial artist with all the knowledge he possesses (which btw comes from a VERY close source to Bruce Lee himself), while Coach Corey has awakened the fighter in me I never knew I had and I now love fighting and competing.
The best aspect of this gym however, is not just the coaches, but the community they have managed to build and maintain. Every single person in the gym is unique and awesome, we’re more than training partners, we’re friends, and dare I say it even feels like family.
Be it training, working out, or making friends, whatever the reason, this is the gym to join!

This place is amazing. It is evident the coaches love doing this, they are true martial artists.
From the very first time I stepped in this gym, the atmosphere and everyone that attends, really made me feel welcomed.
I enrolled to the elite program, and after a year, I have witnessed a transformation in both my mind and body, the impact in my day to day life has been significant, it went above my expectations. I recommend the elite program to those who are looking for an excellent and balanced immersion experience into this sport.

I’ve been going to this gym for the past six months, and I can’t get enough of it. The coaches are phenomenal, but what stands out most is the great atmosphere they maintain. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn how to fight or just want a new way to stay in shape, or if you’re like me and want to develop your skills to compete, this gym will feel like home. All you need is a willingness to work hard and an open mindset. Highly recommend giving it a try—see you at training!

Originally just want to see how far I can go for doing this without any fighting / martial art background. After been participating Coach Corey’s Muay Thai and Kickboxing class, I was not only able to improve my cardio endurance, muscle strength. More importantly, Coach Corey’s lessons pushes my physical conditions tremendously that I was able to competed in 3 tournaments with end up winning 3 medals just about a year of fighting train in !!
Obviously, you don’t have to do what I do. You can just spend couple hours and come workout with us and also get your body in shape. And you don't need to worry about won’t making friends here in our gym, because everyone is pretty outgoing and friendly minded, we love each other and got each other’s back.
Like they said, First step is always the hardest step.

This is definitely one of the best gyms in Austin. I’ve trained here with Coach Forrest, and of course, my daily instructor, Corey. Both coaches are incredibly dedicated and passionate about their teaching. The people here are also amazing and friendly. Members help each other out and improve their skills together every day. There are many people from different places coming to train here, and I’m one of them, coming from Vietnam. No matter what skill level you're at or how shy you might feel, when you come here, you’ll find that this is the perfect place to train every day!

This is a fantastic place to learn martial arts! Having not worked out in a hot minute, I was hesitant to start, but this is such welcoming, inclusive place and great for beginners. I see people of all ages (although geared towards adults), ethnicities, genders, and body types here, and classes are often packed. Coach Corey is great at breaking down each movement and has such a gift for teaching. They also have classes for more experienced/intermediate members, open mats, chances to compete, and individual teaching sessions. Highly recommend!

I have been with Fighting Fit for 6 months, and I can’t speak highly enough about the gym, its members, and instructors. I’m 39, and prior to this I had never done any sort of martial arts or combat sports. In fact I had never really been much for any sport. I was looking for a way to get in shape in a functional way, and my research led me to kickboxing. So I started searching online for gyms and landed on Fighting Fit.
My first class I was so apprehensive, walking in to a world I knew nothing about - heck I didn’t even watch MMA or Boxing. I might have known what a jab was… maybe. Coach Forest was teaching that first class and although I didn’t notice it at the time, he seamlessly integrated me into a group class (there was 15 of us that day I think) without slowing things down too much for everyone else. By the end of the first class I was hooked.
Now I try to make it to the gym 5 days a week, with one of those days being private lessons with Coach Forest. The private lessons are a fantastic opportunity to work on a specific curriculum of technical skills that we hone over multiple weeks. Plus the lessons are based around Jeet Kune Do for all the Bruce Lee fans out there.
I also attend Coach Corey’s kickboxing/conditioning and Muay Thai classes. He is also fantastic at integrating new students into classes with existing students, and furthermore fosters an environment of care and respect towards your practice partners to ensure that everyone is training at the level they want. I have also on occasion attended Coach Rocket’s noon classes which are also fantastic and left me feeling like I held nothing back and gave the class my all.
If you come in and see me, say “Hi”, I’m usually in a colorful bandana :)

If you're looking for a gym that offers top-quality muay thai training, Fighting Fit Kickboxing & Jiu Jitsu is the place to go!
The private lessons here are a game-changer. I was a complete beginner when I started a year ago and I've improved A TON in that time. Coach Forrest has an entire private lesson curriculum for you and he builds you up step by step.
There are also options for semi-private lessons, so that you can split the cost with a couple extra members, if one-on-one sessions are outside of your budget.
The community vibe here is great, too. Everyone is super friendly and supportive, making it easy to stay motivated. I can't recommend this gym enough-it's truly a standout!

I joined this gym a few months back to learn a few kickboxing and Muay Thai skills. I am a fit pro myself and teach fitness classes elsewhere and wanted to bring some kickboxing skills to my other classes. I thought maybe I would attend for awhile, learn some tools and then say goodbye. But now, going to class is one of the highlights of my week. Everyone I've met is welcoming, friendly and warm. It's great for beginners up to advanced. Coach Forrest is the real deal: warm, welcoming, patient, and funny. He interjects humor and personal anecdotes into his workouts to make the skills more accessible. He's humble and kind, which is funny considering he teaches people how to hit other people! It's a great community and I'm really glad I found it.

Amazing place that navigates the line between “hardcore” and “causal” perfectly. It’s a serious place where you can learn to fight and even compete. But it’s also a great place for hobbyists and people who work a 9-5. Most gyms have a hard time balancing both ends but fighting for does it well and with extreme expertise.

I’ve only been at this gym since September of last year but ever since my first class, the coaches have been nothing but kind, encouraging, and welcoming. I had an athletic background in the past and really missed feeling like I was a part of a community. So, learning kickboxing and Muay Thai has not only kept me in shape but also helped me build a sense of community. The classes are about 45 minutes and some classes can be difficult in physical demands but it’s well worth attending and returning to.
The culture at this gym is extremely positive and welcoming to all genders and backgrounds. I definitely would recommend!

I was looking for kickboxing classes in my area when I found Fighting Fit and now I’ve been going for almost a year! I was primarily looking for a class that had good cardio but what I found is so much more. I have a background in Tae Kwon Do so I was really pleased that Fighting Fit is a martial arts gym and not only about cardio/working out, although it is an AWESOME work out…trust!
The coaches are very knowledgeable, supportive, great at breaking the moves down, and giving you background about how moves would apply to real situations. It’s a confidence booster for sure! We also recently had an all women’s self defense workshop that was really fun and I learned a lot, I look forward to more of those.
In addition to the coaches, the folks who go there are really down to earth. I think it’s cool that not everyone is there is be better than the next person. Fighting Fit has a very supportive environment and I felt immediately welcomed. I could go on, but basically if you’re looking for a great work out, to learn about different martial arts, and have a great group of people around you, then Fighting Fit is for you!

The very first phone call with Forrest (the owner) to talk to me about my goals gave a family/community vibe from the get-go. The truth is I didn't really have any goal in mind. Sure, I could gain some weight and some muscle but ultimately, I just wanted to start exercising again after recovering from a bicycle injury.
On my first day to try out the classes, I ended up liking it so much that I tried them all that day and signed up for a membership shortly after. It wasn't long before I started showing up multiple times a week and took as many classes as I could. I've always been a person of high physical activity and energy. I would even bike to/from the gym. In a hard to explain way, I felt a lot more rested and at peace after the classes.
What really would inspire the next step of my kickboxing journey was this story about a woman who signed up and within 6 months she had competed in an amateur tournament and won. I decided to do the same despite have no background or history in any sort of fighting.
Corey (one of the instructors) gave me a lot of personal advice and helped get me into my best fighting shape in the coming 6 months. He also made the classes fun/creative with some killer soundtracks to boot.
I won and it was a great experience but, I decided it wasn't for me and I ended up going a different path in life.
Every now and then I come back and pop my face in. They still treat me like family. That's why I signed up and absolutely recommend it to anyone who is even considering the idea. Trust me, it will be worth it.
P.S. there are also community events and challenges every now and then.

I’ve been a member for over 6 years now and recommend this gym to everyone. As someone who started martial arts in my mid 30s and terribly out of shape, I can truly say their programs are for all ages and fitness levels. I’ve very much enjoyed training under Coach Corey, so much so I found myself competing; something I never thought I would do at my age. I also lost about 30 lbs and have managed to keep it off for over two years under the guidance of Coach Forrest’s nutritional program.

From never having done anything even remotely related to combat sports to winning my first local competition in Texas, in less than a year. This isn't the bullshido you see on TV. The coaching is legit. The classes, the community, the full-contact fun. If you're considering signing up, let this be the review that decides it for you. Even better, if you feel you need a little extra help attaining your goals, you can sign up for the elite classes which is a more personalized training program with our coach. Joining this gym has absolutely changed my life. It's been such an amazing experience of learning and finding your inner warrior. It's almost like which each training session, I show myself what I can do. When you walk in the gym and everyone's pushing themselves, even on days when you don't feel like doing anything, that energy carries you through the session. It's an amazing community of people down at this gym.

Great way to get an awesome workout but without that monotonous “I don’t want to be doing this feeling.” It’s exhausting but a lot of fun. Oh man, where do I even start? I LOVE LOVE LOVE fighting fit! I have an extremely hard time working out on my own so I thought I’d give kickboxing a try. I tried two others & just like Goldilocks this one was just right! I was a bit intimidated for sure considering I’m a beginner, but I definitely went to others that were way more intimidating! Turns out my anxiety was high for nothing, the coaches are so welcoming and the community is sooo nice! I just felt so comfortable right away and asking questions never felt nerve racking, I wasn’t made to feel dumb for being lost or forgetting things. I haven’t been back in a couple of months but I think about this place all the time! I can’t wait to come back and I WILL be back haha! It’s easy to book your classes and easy to cancel as well, it’s also a limited amount of people per class so you’re not in a room full of 45+ with just one coach to work with. Fighting fit is overall really amazing, it helped me so much with my depression and getting some social time in, it boosted my confidence. I also love that I don’t have to think of a routine I just go in and do what I’m told! If you really put your all into it, you definitely will get results! Fighting fit was always my favorite part of my day. This place is great and I will 10/10 recommend anyone to give it a try.

Coming out of the pandemic, dealing with this new economy and the effect it’s had on my family helped bring on depression, unhappiness and zero attention to our health. So.. we had to do something to get out of the funk. With my wife’s passion for fighting and my love for her we set out to find a kickboxing club to join. I believe we were lucky to come across Fighting Fit.
We read the reviews and spoke to Coach Forrest to sign up for our first free class. I was immediately shocked that though not easy.. it went by super-fast and was a lot of fun! I was used to sitting or laying at a weight machine in the gym and doing sets and reps for most of my life (So.. boring). BUT THIS was learning, self-defense and cardio too! Though an exciting epiphany to me… it was new and somewhat difficult starting out and I really did not want to keep going for the first three weeks because well… it wasn’t easy! Though Coach Corey kept us coming back as he’s truly an amazing person! He’s so passionate about all types of martial arts, teaching and his students. It shows! And when walking in the door for class it really feels like coming back home ..every time.
Fast forward to a month in and OH NO!! A weight loss goal challenge thrown out by Coach Forrest and their nutrition expert: Coach Sarah! My wife, Tara and I signed up, weighed in and got body specific meal plans, recipes and some much needed POSITIVE AND SUPPORTIVE peer pressure along with weekly learning and support check-ins. I started at 211 lbs. My goal: get to my high school weight of 187. Geeze!
Fast forward to month three… GOAL ACCOMPLISHED. We did it!!! This morning I weighed in at 186.2! Not only this but my resting heart rate has gone from 72 bpm down to 62 bpm at age 52. I am super stoked and proud. The future now looks much brighter than it did, brought Tara and I closer together and we will continue, supporting each other along the way. I could not have done this without excellent coaching at Fighting Fit, the support of my wife Tara along with all the students and new friends at Fighting fit. Thank you, Tara, Coaches: Corey Scott, Forrest and Sarah Caudill!

I HIGHLY recommend Fighting Fit for all walks of life!! I’ve been attending classes and receiving private lessons since January, and I am so pleased with my experience. So far I have lost 10 pounds, gained knowledge and skill in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, and feel part of a community at a local gym! All are huge pluses.
Coach Forrest, who teaches my private lessons, is so enthusiastic no matter the day or time and always shares great knowledge and history of martial arts, which I appreciate, and he knows how to keep his clients comfortable while pushing them just enough to keep improving! I always get a great workout and learn something new!
Coach Corey teaches most of the classes and is honestly a wonder! He is a professional with lots of experience and always shares fun stories of his adventures during or after classes, which are always interesting. He is very patient with all of his students, and is very quick to point out where you’re improving, which is encouraging! He takes time for every individual in class for this.
The people who attend classes range in all shapes, sizes, and ages, which I appreciate. Fighting Fit will never turn anyone away and attracts a diverse crowd with that accessibility! If you prefer a solitary class experience or you’re shy like me, the group classes may be a little out of your comfort zone until you get familiar with fellow gym mates, but I promise everyone is friendly! On that note, for ladies and theydies, the men at this gym are very respectful! Not once has a classmate made me uncomfortable in any way, and the coaches always ask permission before touching you to correct your form — something I greatly appreciate! In addition, the classes are co-ed, so you can always find a partner you’re comfortable with.
Overall, if this place sounds like what you’re looking for, I highly recommend at least doing the 7-day trial! If you do come by, I think you’ll find the experience very rewarding. Whether your goal is to lose weight, learn a martial art, or simply make new friends/connections, this place has something for you!

I've been learning kickboxing at Fighting Fit for about two months now and I can honestly say I LOVE it! I joined to learn self-defense, feel more confident, and find a fun way to exercise, and I'm getting all of that from this gym. Coach Forrest and Coach Corey are two of the kindest, most encouraging trainers, and everyone there has been friendly and supportive. I have a lung condition that limits me in some ways, but they have been very understanding and accomodating of this issue. The culture of the gym is a positive one of community, encouragement, and pushing limits in a beneficial way. If you're looking for a fantastic martial arts gym, give this one a try! You won't be disappointed.

I am so thankful I found this gym. The community and coaches are amazing and you will never run out of things to learn. A few months ago, I had no idea what Jiu Jitsu even was. I joined this gym to learn Muay Thai and sharpen my kickboxing skills, as I had previous boxing experience. Learning Jiu Jitsu has been a very exciting added bonus! Step out of your comfort zone and try new things. It may just lead you to find a new passion!

Love this place!!
All the coaches have been wonderful, and I’ve learned so much. Each session has been different, and each one I leave I end up with a river of sweat, lol.
I really needed to kickbox after a bunch of terrible things happened, it is exactly what I needed and it is cathartic as well.
Highly recommend to anyone I know!

I have been a member for about 8 months. I am pleased with my investment. I started out just trying to change up my humdrum routines. Then it became to build muscle so I could gain sustainable weight (started at 130 lbs at 5'6 and wanted to be at least 140 lbs). I joined a challenge at the gym. I gained the weight and keeping it on. Found out I cheat a lot on my diet. 😜 Got the weight I wanted. So what was left to do besides have fun... Well doing the moves right maximizes the workout and helps with body definition. I decided to really pay attention in class which helped a ton. Nevertheless I wanted more aquired personal training. Now I feel like wolverine😂
I'll be at fighting fit for a while. Excuse any typos I'm dyslexic and ADHD.. 😳

From the ages of 16 to now 22 I've been coming to Fighting Fit, I currently live in Dallas for school, but I make sure I'm in Austin every summer to come here! Everyone here is always catering to our needs/recommendations and make exercising not only bearable, but something to look forward to. After every class you'll have left your comfort a zone a bit and feel immensely rewarded for it. There's no sense of dread or doom when you walk in the studio, no fear of being judged by others or the matter of whether or not you can keep up as a newbie or someone with physical limitations. The new challenges and experimental classes are always fun, and the sense of community is just a feel-good bonus too. Coach Forrest, Corey, Ivan and Lexi are incredible people with a passion for making others become the best versions of themselves, and I look forward to moving back to Austin to become a permanent member!

Well-rounded MMA regimen of kickboxing and jiu-jitsu. Coach Forrest and Coach Corey definitely know their striking and grappling. Coach Forrest is very knowledgeable on how to generate power and how to block strikes and his private lessons are a great way to push yourself to perfection. Coach Corey is very insightful on techniques and has a wide range of practical combos stemming from a wealth of competition and fighting experience. While the sparring could be better, the smaller class size makes it a great place to learn fundamentals and to grow as a fighter. So if you're just starting out and you think you've got a knack for fighting, come here to trade some blows!

I have been training in Fighting Fit for the past 6+ months. I have become more flexible than I ever was and my endurance has also improved. I thoroughly enjoy Coach Correy s Muay thai class. Everytime I think I practiced a combo that stretched my limits, Coach Correy keeps taking it to another level. Not to forget Coach Alexis fitness sessions - the energy level in these classes are amazing and very content. I love how this gym keeps me motivated through competitions, social events, fitness training, nutrition consultations along with Kickboxing and Muay thai classes.

I’ve been doing private Jeet Kune Do lessons with Sifu Forrest for the last month and a half or so. I’ve got a handful of pre-existing injuries and he has always been great about creating lessons that work with what my body can do on any given day. Private lessons in JKD has been great because I am always getting feedback on form and fine tuning the details that might get overlooked otherwise. As a female I wasn’t sure what to expect at a martial arts studio; a lot of the reviews mentioned how relaxed and chill the environment is here and it has held true! I always feel comfortable at this gym, and Forrest is very personable, knowledgeable, and a great teacher! If you are new to training or looking to refine your skills, I can highly recommend private lessons!

Joined this gym a few months ago, with no real intention on learning how to fight, just wanted a good workout to help me with some lower back problems. After a month or two, my love for the sport has increased tenfold. The instructors cater to each person individually, and really push people to be the best that they can be. Being part of this gym is like being part of a family. Everyone is super courteous and respectful. Cory, the main instructor gives great feedback, and keeps everybody motivated throughout each class. The owner Forrest engages with his team members at a level that only few can compete with. Sending birthday cards, thank you cards, etc. Just not something that you see all the time. Little things like that make a huge difference to me. Five star service, and experience.

Originally I came to Fighting Fit because I had done martial arts in the past and I was simply looking for a place to train in Austin. What I found was so much more; the instructors at here are some of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever known and they have cultivated a truly welcoming environment for so many different people.
If you’ve done martial arts before and are looking for a place with a focus on practical pressure testing and sparring you really can’t do better; if you’re just interested in getting back into shape after sitting in an office chair for years this is also an amazing place for exactly that.
No matter what your experience level is you will find so many new learning opportunities in a down-to-earth, incredibly unpretentious atmosphere.

Upon my arrival I was greeted with kindness and professionalism. During each class, the coaches provide detailed technique instruction and are very encouraging. Classes are offered in the mornings at 6am, mid & late afternoon, and weekends. Fast forward to today, I’m still going strong and have improved my health, fitness, and technique! This review is specifically about the private lessons with Coach Forrest. I had a stroke on or about 10/27/15 after several dr. visits & multiple MRI's.....it was definitely time to get my butt in gear to make the most of my life since I had squandered my 30's & 40's. I started a 6-week challenge at Fighting Fit in the Fall of 2016, I had been going to a "Big Box Gym" but it had gotten stale & I was in a rut.
I was really nervous about my 1st class; I was worried that everyone would be looking at me and talking about the “fat person” trying to do a kickboxing class……BUT that wasn’t the case. All of the coaches knew about my limitations and were open to providing me modifications since I’m still having occasional right arm strength loss. Everyone was hitting their bag and not focusing on their neighbor. By the end of the class, I was hooked……. take my money💸, take my time⏰, I need to eat and breathe all things kickboxing and Fighting Fit.
I have definitely lost weight, inches and gained muscle…. but thanks to COVID like most of everyone else I gained weight back and I’m currently working on losing 40-ish pounds that I gained back. The coaches are top notch and if you have current injuries or have injured yourself in the past, they will find a work around so that you will have an enjoyable experience. My husband has also noticed a big difference in my mental health and just taking care of ME!!!

Fighting Fit is exactly what it describes- a perfect blend of kickboxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The coaches are well informed and extremely patient. A lot of emphasis is given to form and technique, which is definitely something that sets this gym apart from others. Coaches are always ready to supply modifications to exercises and techniques to meet you where you are, and work your way up, which I definitely appreciated. I can’t believe that it already has been about 2 months from my first meeting with Coach Forrest,
I did have to miss couple of weeks for my job,
but I am still coming in to the gym instead of giving up
Most of the time, due to my work, pulling couple of all-nighters is a usual schedule for me
And those schedule always made me give up living healthy life;
sleep cycle changes, not eating right, convincing myself that I have no energy to work out
However, for the past couple of months,
I really felt like I have a reason and a place to come back/get back to a healthy lifestyle because of Coach Forrest, Coach Corey, and even other gym members
I never felt left out, always feel that welcoming atmosphere whenever I walk in to the gym
My goal started as very small,
trying to be in the gym at least twice a week, and I feel like I achieved the goal (unless I have some work to do)
Now I’m trying to go to the gym 3 times a week as I getting into the shape, mentally and physically
Going to the gym twice a week seemed easy, but it was a really big first step for me to get out of my depression
Honestly, my expectation of the experience with the gym wasn’t big, just to start to build a good habit by working out, because I really felt like I was losing control of my life and kept slipping away,
I was also avoiding meeting new ppl, due to my depression
But the actual experience was soooooo much more than just “working out”
As I gain more energy as well as get in shape;
I could get up in the morning and could start my day earlier than before,
My sleep quality got so much better,
Started to think positively,
Started to think about nutrition because I want a good amount of energy to work out, etc…
Everything just followed automatically after training here
Now, even one of my friend got motivated to live healthier life because me, by witnessing my changes right next to me
Coach Forrest will ask each one of the starting member “Who do YOU want to be a year from now?, a new version of yourself” to set up some goals
I really feel like I took a good first step to become “Jacob 2.0” (although it is more like Jacob 3.0, because for me Jacob 1.0 was very active one, 2.0 had bad lifestyle, and here I am trying to change my bad habits)
I really thank Coach Forrest and Coach Corey for being patient with me as well as sincerely caring about me,
I am really looking forward to see more positive changes in my life
And lastly….
YES! I’m having so much fun at the gym every time I train with the coaches and the gym members!

Welcome to the BEST GYM EVER! If you hate working out alone on a treadmill to nowhere, then I strongly encourage you to give Fighting Fit a shot. I’ve been a member for almost 10 years and here are some of my favorite things about being a part of this Fighting Fit family:
1. You never get bored! The variety of class formats changes daily. What you did in kickboxing class yesterday is different than what you are doing today.
2. The coaches are awesome 😎. I can’t say enough about Forrest, Corey, Sarah, Lexi, Luis, Ivan and all of the coaches I’ve met over the years. They know your name, they care, and they will help you reach your goals. They are also a lot of fun to work out with too 😉
3. Nutrition coaching has been life-changing for me. I am participating in the 1-N-Done program and lost 60 pounds. Life throws its curves at you but despite that, Sarah and Forrest have been there to encourage me and continue to help me reach my nutrition and health goals today.
I could go on and on but I won’t. Bottom line if you are looking for quality, look no further. You don’t have to be alone on your health and fitness journey - so give Fighting Fit a call today!

Where to start? About a year ago I joined with no experience in BJJ but I had a driving hunger to learn and per usual my eyes were bigger than my stomach. It takes humility, confidence, and determination to keep coming back - some days you’ll want to kick the can and others it’s the the very thing you look forward to at the end of your day. Forrest and Corey are one of the firsts gyms I’ve encountered that’s accomplished an environment of vulnerability, empathy and community. They meet you where you are and I love the fact that it’s a sport that can improve mental health! I personally have struggled years with severe depression and anxiety, this place has been a positive outlet for me in addition to my self development practices.
Just give it a try and don’t give up. What’s hard is worth pursuing for the gratification earned in the end.
Cheers!

From my first meeting with the coaches at Fighting Fit, it became abundantly clear that I found a school dedicated to my growth and enrichment. Coach Forrest especially goes above and beyond in adapting his teaching style and methodology to his student, which makes private lessons genuinely catered towards the individual. Not only that, but the community aspect of learning resources and weekly communications enhances the overall experience. I joined Fighting Fit Kickboxing & Jiu Jitsu 2 months ago after my family and I moved to TX. Having no prior martial arts experience but a desire to make a change in my life, I figured here would be a good place to start. What started as an outlet to improve my well-being turned into something much more!
I found myself really enjoying not only the skills and workouts I was developing, but the friends and community that comes with this gym! The folks that go here are some of the nicest people I've met and the staff are second to none! Their skills and expertise truly are something special.
Now I'm in some of the best shape I've been in years and have really jumped on Muay Thai. I'd never heard of Muay Thai before joining this gym but would recommend it to anyone looking to develop an intense strike-based martial art!
Bottomline - join the gym, take the Muay Thai classes, make some amazing friends, and take a first step into something new!

This review is long overdue. I started going to Fighting Fit about two months before everything closed because of Covid. For those two months, I absolutely loved it. The trainers were amazing, the class times matched with my schedule, they had a mix of boxing and Boot Camp classes which I really loved. I started off with a six week challenge, and lost 14 pounds in six weeks. It was a great way to gain motivation and see results quickly.
When everything shut down, I was worried that I would lose the motivation that I had just recently found. Luckily, the owners decided to sell some of their old boxing bags to clients at that time so I purchased one for home and it saved my fitness!
The owners are super creative and were able to solution remote classes for their members. The virtual live classes didn't fit my schedule, but I was able to watch recorded sessions, and that got me through the next year.
They opened the gym sooner than that, but I didn't feel comfortable going back with Covid still at large and me with a new baby in tow (yes, COVID baby boom got me too). The owners were super accommodating, met with me remotely often, and tried to find a way to meet my needs even though I was just one of many members.
I took a few personal training sessions with the owner, Forrest, and learned so much during those brief sessions.
I have knee issues and have since I was 17, so I was a little wary trying out a new boxing gym of all things, but the trainers are really wonderful and cater to each of the members.
I can't say enough good things about Fighting Fit. The owners really go out of their way to accommodate their members, they host fun member events and are really creative in finding new ways to grow and evolve.

I've been coming to this gym for just over 6 months now and I love it! The coaches are awesome and friendly, and the people (students?) are so nice and welcoming. My favorite classes to go to are the Muy Thai and Fitness Kickboxing. Muy Thai has an optional spar at the end of class which can be very fun to apply the things you've learned in class. Kickboxing is focused a bit more on fitness, which we'll do exercises as a class and working w/ a bag or partner!
I highly recommend this martial arts gym!

I’ve done a lot of gym-hopping in my life, but I always end up back at Fighting Fit.
The whole team is incredible, and the amount of understanding and care you receive makes it easy to work on your goals. Martial arts? Done. Weight loss? Thoughtful and your choice, not pushed.
I tend to have a lot of social anxiety for a variety of reasons, and having the choice of private training and group classes makes a huge difference in my ability to return to training after missing a week. Every session leaves me feeling strong and accomplished.

I have been coming for over 3 years now and since adding Mauy Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to the schedule, I never want to miss a day. Coach Corey keeps classes fun and you are always learning something new. Besides learning new skills, you also build confidence in yourself, new friendships, and having fun doing it.

I've been going to this gym for over a year now and I can say with confidence that the coaches are top notch. They have excellent teaching skills and detail oriented.
I particularly love the Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu classes. It's an intense workout while learning excellent martial arts skills.

I joined Fighting Fit back in 2017. Forrest and all of the members made me feel very welcome from the very first introduction class. It felt like a warm family out to encourage, cheer and help one-another.
With a very inclusive culture, the gym has welcomed and continues to welcome members from all walks of life, from folks like me with zero prior training in anything to folks with past experience in several fighting arts.
Over the years, my membership has provided me with solid foundations for learning how to move, take better care of my body and myself overall, while making friends.
With these foundations and adjusting my nutrition and lifestyle, I've managed to lose 80lbs from my peak weight, and am currently in the best physical shape of my adult life.
In my opinion, Fighting Fit is a great place for anyone looking to explore a healthier and happier version of themselves.

I've been a member of Fighting Fit for several years. I've been a member of other kickboxing gyms in Austin, but this place felt like home after my first session. The owner, Forrest, has a playful, earnest energy to him and you can tell he's genuinely interested in helping you succeed in your goals. The fellow members are also friendly and welcoming which puts you at ease when trying something new.
All the coaches I've trained with over the years are first rate, and the Muay Thai classes with Corey are a fun way to take your kickboxing skills to the next level. As a non-muscly man I was initially intimidated at trying the Muay Thai sparring, but Corey makes it approachable and ensures you're not paired beyond your level before you're ready. The Muay Thai classes have also made me more confident in my abilities and given me practical self defense skills.
Sure it's more expensive than a standard cardio/weight based gym, but the quality you get is worth the investment and having people who know your name adds more incentive to go back week after week. The work I've put in, especially over the last year, has paid off and I've had more success here than any other place I've been in the last 10 years.

This is a great place to study Jeet Kune Do and also Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, with a community of dedicated and enthusiastic coaches and students. Coaches Forrest and Corey are very experienced and knowledgeable, and are fantastic instructors. The school is very accommodating, with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu offered many times per week, and also various other fitness and kickboxing classes offered throughout the day, so you can work to develop the level of fitness or martial arts skill you desire. All-in-all, a great place to train, and a fantastic up and coming BJJ school! Highly recommended!

You’re going to love it here!! I hated working out and struggled with staying consistent until I joined Fighting Fit Austin. I have truly enjoyed the process of learning new techniques and watching my body transform like never before. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend.

I have been a member here for a couple of years now. I have learned so much in so little time. Coach Forrest and Coach Sarah have given me so much insight on weight loss. Coach Corey helped me gain the confidence to compete in my first kickboxing tournament, which was amazing. I will not name every coach for lack of space but they are all good at bringing out your best. This gym is more a family community than a gym. If you’re looking for great friends then you should book a class.

Can't say enough good things about this place! I did a lot of research looking for the right gym because I knew I needed a place that would be kind to a beginner and where I could make friends/have fun -- the only way I could get myself to exercise regularly.
I emailed Forrest and he responded right away with an invite to a free kickboxing class. I was so nervous to show up, but SO glad I did. The coaches are super nice, the classes are energizing, and the people who attend are kind/lovely/encouraging. I started with kickboxing but I've been adding on Muay Thai classes for a few months and I'm addicted.
I'd never pictured myself trying this sport/activity and really grateful I found the perfect environment to do this in.
Highly recommend to anyone looking to build stamina, get in shape, and/or improve their confidence and mental health -- by far the best thing I've gotten out of it so far :)

Wow! What an amazing gym to be a part of!!
Let me just start by saying - I'm the kind of person that has never enjoyed working out and would do anything possible to get out of it. Well, once I turned 30 I realized that I couldn't eat the same things without gaining weight and I definitely was losing muscle. I started doing the bare minimum outside of a gym just to be able to eat my terribly greasy, delicious food and have a few drinks on the weekend. Trying to do this by myself and not really holding myself accountable quickly led me on a depressed path and realization that I needed to do something more for myself.
I joined Fighting fit a couple months ago originally because my Partner joined about 8 months prior and has continued to have great success! I've been able to watch her transformation of losing over 40 pounds throughout her weightloss journey. But, not only that, she just is SO much happier and in such a great place mentally! She would come home everyday telling me about all the cool classes she was taking, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing etc. and how much fun she was having!
So... I Joined Fighting fit and could not be happier about the experience I've had in the last 2 months! I realized that all things can be done, as long as they are in moderation. You don't have to eat salads or skip meals everyday to keep the weight off or to feel good. There is so much more to it than that. I'm learning so much about my body and what makes it tick, as well as getting my butt worked out and in the most fun way!
This place is SO much more than just a gym you force yourself to go to after work. It's meeting great people, being a part of a community and experiencing so many new things but at a pace that is for everyone. Even if you have previous injuries or certain things you aren't able to do, the coaches work with you and you still get a great work out. Being a member of Fighting Fit has taught me accountability and is helping to teach me to be my best self, inside and out! I love working directly with my coaches Forrest and Corey! They are seriously the best!! They both make me feel comfortable and always make sure to give positive reinforcement. I started this journey to get my wedding Bod in gear, but now I've joined a family that I intend to be a part of. I highly recommend giving this place a shot to help transform you inside and out! :)

I met with Forrest to discuss a 6-wk challenge I had seen advertised on Instagram. The conversation was great and Forrest is really driven to help you reach your goals.
I didn’t go through with it due to the price. I cannot afford it, nor a regular membership. I have no doubt that you’re getting your money’s worth, as part of the challenge and membership you receive a meal plan, accountability coach, and a bunch of other things.
I believe in transparency and wish more businesses had prices readily available, so the prices are below.
-$79/wk (unlimited classes) 6 months
-$49/wk (unlimited classes) 12 months
-$499 6 wk challenge
If I had ample money, I’d sign up. But alas that is not the case.

Joined to lose weight and increase my energy. I was never that interested in mixed martial arts but, since going, I've learned I really like Muay Thai! The coaches are friendly and patient and the atmosphere is welcoming. No one is in there trying to take out frustration by knocking someone's block off. Even after sparring, they is a lot of smiling and laughing.

I've been a member of Fighting Fit / Austin Impact Jeet Kune Do for nearly two years, and I can honestly say that joining this gym was the best decision I made upon moving to Austin. I've always loved training in martial arts because it's a great way to get in an excellent workout all while focusing on continuous self-improvement, but I never imagined how much I would enjoy the community-focused gym environment at Fighting Fit. The coaches and fellow students are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people you'll ever meet, and there's something for everyone.
For those wanting to meet their fitness goals and live healthier lives, the Fitness Kickboxing and Boot Camp classes are a fantastic workout, and the gym has a really active private Facebook group and frequently holds team challenges and other fun activities to keep you engaged and feeling like a part of the community. Coach Forrest and Coach Sarah even offer nutrition coaching to fully round out their holistic approach to helping members meet their health and fitness goals.
Those interested in advancing their martial arts skills should also feel right at home. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy the Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes. I highly recommend checking them out no matter your previous experience -- the coaches and other students will work with you at your skill level, and you may even decide to start training for competition like some of our members.
Learning from Coach Corey has been the highlight of my year, and I've genuinely loved going to class to learn and practice techniques with my fellow classmates (as well as to spar with the more advanced students). While I'm moving out of state and unfortunately can't pack up the gym and all its members in a box to take with me when I go, I will never forget my Fighting Fit family! I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for a new one to call their own.

Forrest was my Coach for Fighting Fit nutrition and exercise coaching.
He provided a succinct and effective plan for me to reach my goals, as well as tools that I will be able to utilize for the rest of my life. In addition, he made it enjoyable and relatable to every day life.
They do not focus on quick weight loss or cheap tricks but rather a holistic approach to make life changes to better yourself.
You get out what you put in and with the tools and coaching they provide, you will get out a lot!
They provide coaching for all levels of fitness and age. They focus on the goals you set and how best to achieve those for your situation.
I highly recommend them for nutrition and exercise coaching, if you are looking to make some changes or improve!

I joined Fighting Fit in 2017 with the goal to become stronger and to lose weight. I was very motivated, ate healthy, natural foods and was taking 3 classes a week. In four months of doing this I lost 40 lbs and felt amazing. My energy was so high. I could go about the day on 4 hours of sleep if need be.
So let me tell you about the gym. The workouts are certainly fun. They are designed for all skill levels and you are free to go at your own pace. You have support from the coaches, other members, and the owners and coaches Forrest and Sarah. They are some of the most compassionate and understanding people you will meet. They will help you reach you goals no matter how large. Don't hesitate to ask them for help or advise either. They are involved in your fitness through and through.
I highly recommend trying Fighting Fit as a new workout. It was the best decision I made when I lost weight. I look forward to becoming a member again in the future.

I joined the gym a month after moving to Austin as a way to both get into Jeet Kune Do and build some sense of community. In the time I’ve been here I can say that they’ve helped me meet those goals and even some others around fitness along the way. More recently we’ve had some outside influence from an instructor joining us from Chicago. Coach Corey brought with him competition experience in mma, kickboxing, and BJJ. He’s got other grappling arts under his belt as well but it’s the BJJ that he’s introduced to the gym and boy oh boy has that caught on.
Anyway, long and short of it is, if you’re looking for a good gym with good people and some coaches that help you get better in your craft/game, look no further. Plus you get a free class to try it anyway.

Been attending this gym for almost 7 months and it’s great to see my progress along with that of all the new students who have joined since. The past few months the gym began to incorporate Brazilian Jiu Jitsu into its arsenal and my appreciation for mixed martial arts has increased dramatically. Coach Corey is a purple belt in BJJ and has utilized his skills to dominate his opponents in under a minute every time he compete. Needless to say, if you want to learn grappling along with striking, you’re in great hands.

Been at fighting fit for about 2 years now. It is a leading example of how a gym can be divided into 2 categories without alienating any customers. If you're interested in learning combat sports for competitive or self defense reasons, Coach Corey will present you with in depth classes, experience and a friendly demeanor that you will not find anywhere else. It is a smaller gym, so at the cost of some of the fancier equipment, you get more personalized classes and attention from the coaches. FF also offers a multitude of classes for conditioning, for those that are looking for more health based results, there is a place for you. Beginner and experienced athletes will feel right at home here. Now that there is BJJ offered, the classes feel even more rounded out. With the incredible guidance, you can easily learn a new art without the fear of intimidation, or being lost in a sea of students. Fighting Fit truly cares for its community and makes it known. You will not regret joining this gym, whether for Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, KBX or conditioning.

I have attended fighting fit in person and virtually, and every time I have loved every minute I have been to classes here. I highly recommend folks to this place. Love the atmosphere, love the camaraderie, and love the instructors.
Forrest really does care about making a difference in people’s lives, and offers consultations on healthy lifestyle changes and nutrition that I have found very helpful. Never have I ever been pressured to buy something or to sign up for something I didn’t know anything about. He and his coaches always provide their honest opinions for exercises, foods, and what they have seen work for them and their other clients to give you the best idea of what may or may not work for you. They do make themselves available for any questions at any time as well, which is a great plus!
I can honestly say that so far this is the best gym and fitness program that I have tried in a very long time!

I cannot reccommend this gym enough. I originally joined because FF was directly in between work and home for me. I don't like traditional gyms (LA Fitness, 24H, etc) and have just needed a place to punch and kick things.
First impressions: the classes were small (although I originally only attended 6AM classes) and the coaches were very friendly. They were helpful and attentive since I was knew and had no idea what I was doing. Everyone seem to know each other. At the beginning, I kinda felt like the new kid at school.
Eventually, after attending more classes and participating in their member challenges, I got to know a lot more fellow gym members. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. From friendly competition to group sweaty selfies, from classes at the gym to various member events both to learn more about health and fitness to just purely get to know each other. This group is filled with geniunely great people who do nothing but motivate you and cheer you on to whatever goals you're chasing.
The coaches are also amazing. They're great dedicated people who are great at working with you where you're at and do their best to help you achieve your goals.
When I first joined the gym, I was nearing 150lbs. I am now at 131lbs. More than just losing weight, I found a group of people that I enjoy spending time with and keep in touch with even during this pandemic.

I joined Fighting Fit because I was looking for a great option to stay in shape and have always wanted to study martial arts. Normally I exercise on my own but I thought having a community would keep me accountable, and it has! Seeing the reviews online made me believe that the community would be welcoming and non-judgmental. That was very important for me and when I finally joined I was thrilled to meet tons of friendly gym members and awesome coaches.
I love that there’s a good number of coaches to choose from. Everyone has their own style and even though each coach leads class differently, they’re all still a ton of fun and leave me sweating buckets. The coaches are also happy to hear you out and give you any advice they can for your fitness goals.
The gym also puts on fitness and health challenges often. These are great ways to track your health, fitness, and mindfulness! I participated in the first challenge of the year and noticed a change in my body. My muscles were becoming toned and defined!
Also shout out to coach Sarah, who has an awesome yoga class! I went the first time out of curiosity and was hooked. Sarah has the amazing ability to make you feel like you’re in another place. An hour of peace and tranquility that has been so helpful for a buzzing mind like mine.
Overall, joining this gym was a leap of faith for me but I don't regret it one bit!

It has been more than 7 months with the fighting fit now and I do fitness kickboxing here. Before joining this place, I went to the gym in my apartment and found it so boring and monotonous. I was looking for a place where I not only increase my stamina but also feel motivated and challenged every day. The instructors (Coach Forrest, Sarah, Erik, Trey, Ivan, Matt, Alexis) at this gym are extremely talented and motivates you all the time. I did the 6 week challenge and loved it. Great group of people with an encouraging and up beat attitude. I hadn't really worked out since I have my first kid 6 years ago and I was really worried I wouldn't be able to hang or even worse, would be holding other more advanced people up. But to my surprise there were people in there working out everyday who looked like me. And bc most things are individual I didn't have to worry about trying to go at any speed but my own speed, which was awesome.
You have to put some money on the line to do the challenge but if you lose 20lbs you get it back. The money definitely is a huge motivating factor. And they have an accountability coach and a nutritionist with a diet plan to help you. You can also roll your money into a membership and that way even if you don't make weight you won't lose it.
Over all awesome program and challenge. If you have the weight to lose and are motivated I would recommend it!

If you're looking for a gym to achieve your goals with AMAZING coaches and AWESOME workouts that challenge you to be a healthier, better you in a small, yet close-knit familial environment, then Fighting Fight Boot Camp is the gym for you! Each coach brings a distinct, yet valuable skillset to his/her class that help you achieve your full potential as an individual and within the group.
I've been a long distance runner for close to seven years and, within the past year was diagnosed with double pneumonia. With no physical activity, completely off my feet and bound to my home for almost a month of recovery, I wondered if I would/could ever get back to the same place I was physically.
In August 2018, a coworker and fellow Fighting Fit member introduced me to the gym, though having had no experience in kickboxing. After a few classes, I fell in love and saw this as a way back to better physical health and on my feet! It took some time to get the technique, but the coaches and everyone in the classes made it even more enjoyable and made me want to do push myself even more.
Since starting at Fighting Fit, I've been able to recover my health quicker (2x/day, 3-4x/week) than I could've ever imagined! Fighting Fit has provided me the strength to get back on my feet in a shorter amount of time, having run three half marathons and multiple smaller distance races with an even faster pace than before. So, if you're ready to change your health and lifestyle for the better, then come check out Fighting Fit!!

I was first introduced to kickboxing in 2014 but due to life, I had to quit. Last summer I was in desperate need of some stress relief/punching therapy, and I decided to look for a fairly-priced gym nearby. That’s when I found Fighting Fit, its awesome trainers and fun motivating community of members!
I fell in love with Coach Erik’s class first. He makes sure that you’re not here to just kick/punch a bag to break a sweat but to learn proper form and technique. Then I checked out Coach Ivan & Matt’s boot camp classes and they are so upbeat and motivating that you ENJOY the workouts. Finally, came yoga with Coach Sarah & Shelly – Yoga? At a kickboxing gym? Fighting Fit has a good combination of classes that I didn’t know I was looking for!
The cherry on top and THE main reason I give this gym a 5 STAR rating: 3ish months into my membership, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child. There was no need to ask to freeze or get out of my contract. The trainers I work with modify workouts, make sure I’m working out at my comfort level and have never made me feel left out or like a burden!
My goal is to continue to practice kickboxing and yoga to be able to share with my daughter my journey and excitement for them. But most importantly, to teach her to love herself, her body shape at any stage in life, and to teach her that she can do anything she sets her mind to! You don’t have to be at a certain fitness level to begin your health journey and your end goal (in my opinion) doesn’t always have to be a number on a scale or on your clothes. I’m grateful to be part of Fighting Fit before, during my pregnancy and I plan to continue my membership after!
“When we focus on external standards of body shape and size, we feed on the scraps that society gives us, rather than enjoying the unfolding story of our own experience.” – Coach Sarah. When I heard this at the end of one of my first yoga practices, I was reassured that I’d join the right gym.

I had a 2 strokes in 2014 right before Halloween. Needless to say, that was a wake-up call to get my @$$ in gear and start taking care of myself first. I had been going to a gym and lost 65 lbs. but it starting getting stale and I needed to find something to get my motivation kick-started again. I still have issues with strength and getting my right side to listen to my brain, but I had seen a significant amount of improvement in just 3 weeks. Taking your frustrations out on the bags is empowering and liberating. No Matter where you are at physically or mentally, this is the "right fit" for anyone. Update Dec. 2018 I’ve lost 30 lbs since January and 38.51 inches and I have noticed a lot of muscle. If you have any kind of limitation due to an injury or illness PLEASE, PLEASE….don’t let that stop you, the trainers are awesome and they genuinely care about all of us and they will give you modifications to meet you where you are at in your recovery. The hardest part(mentally) is getting the courage to get in touch with Forrest and walking through the gym door for the very first time. I think this quote from Martin Luther King sums it all, “YOU DON’T HAVE TO SEE THE WHOLE STAIRCASE, JUST TAKE THE FIRST STEP!” If you have any questions call Forrest or snag me at the gym I’m always there most days…..I can’t help it I’m addicted, I’m getting healthy and I love my gym family & I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they love me and will help me achieve my GOALS!!!

This gym is a gem up north! I’ve had trouble finding a gym that fits and delivers on a commitment to keeping fit. However I’ve completed their 6 week challenge and have gone down a pant size during the Thanksgiving holidays which blew my mind! With dedication and showing up to classes and following their meal plan I feel you can definitely lose those extra 20 lbs. This gym truly feels like a supportive family. Go check it out when you get a chance!

2018 has been the year I finally gained control of my diet, but that alone didn't yield the results in weight loss I was hoping to achieve. I saw a facebook post from Fighting Fit about a 6 week challenge. It sounded like the exact thing I needed to figure out how to step up my working out.
I went into the challenge fully committed to their 6 week plan and the weight just started falling off. It was crazy!
The work outs are a lot of fun and change up all the time, it never feels like I'm doing the exact same thing every time. The classes are also presented in a way that can accommodate anyone, go at your own pace, alternatives to almost every work in case you have some ailment, and everyone there is 100% supportive and wanting to have a good time.
After the 6 weeks challenge was over I had hit every goal I had set for myself in 2018 and more, so I decided to keep going to the gym.
Fighting Fit has continued to be a great experience, and now it's time to reevaluate and get myself some new fitness goals for 2019. I know Fighting Fit will help out.

This place is awesome! The coaches are knowledgeable and recognize the different levels of their members. If you have some experience and pretty active, they will push you by modifying the exercises to be more difficult. If you are new and barely getting into fitness, they will scale it down to make sure you don't get hurt will still pushing yourself. The community puts this place above and beyond other places I've worked out. The Facebook community holds you accountable while making it fun to be part of a group. You will see results in a fun and active gym like this one. Follow the diet plan, it works. I started at 222.3 LBs and in 6 weeks, I weighed 199.8 LBs. Get results and have fun doing it at this gym!

Came to the gym for the six week challenge. Fell in love with the classes and the trainers. The martial class is my favorite. Learned ALOT of new fighting techniques and moves. Kickboxing class was exhilarating, great cardio workout and it also helped refine my boxing skills. Would definitely sign up for a membership if I had the finances

First off, I lost 23 lbs in 6 weeks!😍
I came to fighting fit because at the moment in my life a needed a change. I had just lost my mother. Which sent me to a place of depression and overeating. Along with that i was diagnosed with diabetes and hypertension.
My mother told me before she passed away to get myself healthy. So I wiped my tears away and joined Fighting fit 6 week challenge. I met with Coach Forrest and his wife Sarah who were super sweet and understanding of my needs.
Overall I had a great experience. It's like having a huge family of supporters. You will feel amazing and you will not be disappointed!

I had a great experience doing the 6 week challenge. Before starting I had become really bored of my workouts, and was not having strong results. The kickboxing and boot camp classes at Fighting Fit are incredible. You will never feel out of place as everyone is so supportive and there are modifications for each workout so regardless of any injuries or your fitness level starting you’ll get a great workout (with awesome music!) You’ll never have the same workout twice so the classes never get boring. Coaches Ivan and Hannah were my favorites, they are so encouraging and so much fun. In the 6 weeks I lost over 27 pounds and felt stronger and had so much more energy.

This club is absolutely wonderful! You won’t want to go back to a regular gym after checking out the workout they have here!
I went to the 6am classes (there are lots of different times) that alternated between kickboxing and boot camp every other day. The coaches who teach the workouts are the nicest and most motivating people I’ve met! They really do want you to meet your goals! They also teach you proper stance and positioning when doing kicks or punches to prevent injury and go step by step in all the different exercises. I had such a blast and completely recommend making this kickboxing club your new workout home!!

I'm the person who "used" to be active and didn't worry too much about what I ate. Then metabolism slowed with age, stress, and a more sedentary lifestyle happened and it was hard to get into a good routine and feel good about myself in my own skin. I had a gym membership that I hardly used. I ate everything, I felt sluggish and I got discouraged. Then I heard about Fighting Fit and their 6 week challenge. I'm competitive by nature and who best to compete with than yourself. They give you the tools, but it's ultimately up to you. Keep up with the meal plan, go to 3 classes a week, stay accountable with check ins from the coaches. Easy, right? No, it's hard. But they support you. The classes are fun, they're only 45 minutes and before you know it you've created a puddle of sweat to your favorite pop tunes. I like the neighborhood feel of the gym and how the coaches learn your name and work with you to meet your goals. There's a FB group that you can reach it to if you need an extra boost or to vent. The meal plan is completely doable and sustainable. Now, I feel like I have more energy than I did before and don't have as many cravings -- and I met my goal! Fighting Fit is a great place to go to if you're wanting to get back into working out or even getting into it for the first time. They break down the workouts if you're a beginner and challenge you if you're more seasoned. I recommend Fighting Fit to anyone!

Wow!! What an experience. The 6 weeks Fighting Fit Boot Camp training was off the chain. If you never had a Fighting Fit Boot Camp experience, you need to try it. Just add to your bucket list. If you need to lose weight but still eat, this challenge is for you. It may be a big change from what you are used to eating, but it worked for me. The trainers are awesome. Their hands on, in your face technique is what I needed. My hat goes off to the entire team. They made it fun and challenging. Some days harder than others, but I made it!! Thank you all!!

I did a 6 week fit challenge at Fighting Fit. It was a great experience. I always struggle with keeping up with a weight loss plan. I’ll do it for a few days and then give up. This program keeps you accountable and everyone is so encouraging, coaches and challengers alike. They give you a meal plan guide and there are a variety of classes and times. If you need modifications of an exercise they are happy to help. So don’t be afraid or discouraged if trying kickboxing because of a physical limitation. With a physical limitation and struggling with sticking with any weight loss plan, I was able to meet and exceed my goal!

This isn’t something I do often but I absolutely need to brag on Fighting Fit Boot Camp Austin and the 6 week challenge that I just completed. I’m shocked and in awe of the progress I saw during the challenge. The results speak for themselves. By attending the classes, following the meal plan, and sweating... a lot I saw more of a transformation in my body than I’ve ever seen working out on my own and my physique looked better than it has in years. 10/10 would recommend to someone looking to challenge their body and get into better shape.

I love it here! Not only are the people greats, member and coaches, but the workouts are effective and fun. I started in October and have since lost inches and pounds all while having a great time. The coaches are attentive and guide you through movements and show the correct form. The group exercises are extremely motivating and never repetitive. At Fighting Fit, fitness is fierce, fun, and great for all fitness levels. It’s awesome.

I’ve been here a half dozen times. The staff is very encouraging and strives to make everyone feel welcome. I get a nice combination of cardio, strength, and boxing-kickboxing skills training. They offer a good variety of classes, days and times. The teacher/student ratio is small so I get my share of attention. Great place for a workout, especially for an old guy like me!

This has been a long over due review for this amazing place.
When I moved to Austin back in January 2017, I was very determined to get healthy and loose a whole lot of weight that I had gained the past year because of a hectic schedule. Even though I have a full fledged gym at my apartments, I never find any motivation to work out by myself. So looking around for gyms that offered group classes I stumbled upon fighting fit. I noticed they offer multiple classes like kick-boxing, yoga, and boot camp, not to forget also martial arts. I have always wanted to try kick-boxing so I thought of giving this place a shot. I had a chat with forest over the phone and he went over everything in detail.
What I loved right off the back was the pricing and the flexibility of classes you can take.
I have to say. Joining fighting fit was the best life changing decision I have made so far.
When I first started, I could barely punch or kick the bag. Also, started with the lighter weights. Now I’m kick-boxing in a much better form and also on the heavier weights. Thanks to the amazing coachs.
Every single coach here is so attentive on the form and also provide you with alternatives for people that need it.
It’s been about 10 months now I have lost about 30 lbs. Since become much stronger and gained muscle. I have so much more confidence now than from when I started working out.
For all you people that need the motivation for a better lifestyle, this is the place for you. You won’t be disappointed. No judgment what so ever. And the best part of my day is going to work out here.
My fighting fit family is amazing!
Big shout out to the amazing coachs here Forest, Sarah, Ivan, Hannah, Matt, Erik and Eduardo. You guys are some amazing people to be coached from.
Thank you :)

I've been coming to Fighting Fit Boot Camp for a little over 5 months now. When I first started coming, I was a little intimidated because I wasn't sure what kind of people I would encounter. Right away, I was welcomed by an easy-going staff and some awesome classmates. Everyone that comes here progresses at their own pace. Some have been coming for longer than others, but not once have I felt judged or belittled by anyone who may be a little more advanced than I am. If anything, everyone here motivates me to continue to push forward. Every coach has their own unique way of training and coordinating class, so every day that I show up, I am challenged and faced with new styles and techniques that help me improve day by day. I absolutely love that I decided to join Fight Fit. I have gained so much confidence in the short amount of time that I've been coming and I don't want to let it go!

Dear Reader, if you are reading this wondering if this is a good place to kick-start your workout, take my word and check out this place already. This is by far the most lively place that I've been.
I took up the get fit 6-week challenge offered by Fighting Fit Boot Camp.Today is the last week of the challenge and though I haven't lost much weight in these 6 weeks...I think I'm getting there, I feel a lot stronger and my body is well toned. Before I started, I had no clue what kick boxing was, but Coach Forrest, Sarah, Hanna and Edurado helped learn the technique and have fun at the same time.I really enjoyed these 6 weeks kickboxing and I think I'm gonna go back here after a short break.
